We Part To Meet Again - Steddie Week Day 2
Frat Boy Steve (with ao3 script)
9) Power To Charm
SNIPPET
Eddie has to hold in his laughter as he pulls on Steve’s Scoops Ahoy uniform, he can’t wait to see the look on his boyfriend’s face when he walks into the living room wearing the ridiculous outfit. He appraises himself in the mirror—not too shabby—he definitely doesn’t fill it out as well as Steve does, but he doesn’t look half bad in it. Eddie scrunches his wet curls in his towel once more before he jams the hat on his head, it’s definitely the worst part but it completes the look. Eddie struts down the hallway, “Yoo hoo! Sailor boy!” he calls out as he rounds the corner into the living room. Steve sits in shock, mouth agape as he looks Eddie up and down. “I see you found my uniform,” says Steve, lips shifting into a cocky smirk, “told you it wouldn’t look half as good on you as it does on me.” “Hey!” Eddie protests, “I look amazing and you know it, you just don’t want to admit that the uniform is doing it for you!” “Hmmm, I dunno…” Steve trails off before crooking his finger and spreading his legs open like an invitation. “Let me see it up close.” Eddie grins, stepping in between Steve’s legs and looking down at him demurely, “like what you see Captain?” “I think I need to do a thorough inspection Sailor, turn around,” Steve says, that infuriating smirk is still on his face but his eyes have turned predatory. “So bossy,” Eddie mutters as he turns around, glancing over his shoulder. He’s not self-conscious about his ass normally, but Steve’s plum little peach of an ass fills out these shorts so nicely, he knows his butt simply cannot compete. His lack of an ass doesn’t seem to be bothering Steve though, because before Eddie knows it Steve’s hands are gripping his hips, thumbs pressing into the top of his ass. “Tsk, tsk, we appear to have a uniform violation sailor,” says Steve, voice gravely. “You’re not wearing your regulation briefs.” “How could you possibly kno—oh!” Eddie starts, cut off by Steve’s thumbs pulling open a rip in the back of the shorts that Eddie was not aware of when he pulled them on.

video stores, shopping malls, and ren faires part 2!
Pt. 1 | On AO3: video stores, shopping malls, and ren faires | song for this chapter

-----
There’s about an hour ‘till closing when Claudia Henderson drops Dustin off at Scoops Ahoy.
“Hi Ms. Henderson!” Steve greets the woman as she enters, Dustin just behind her with a backpack on his shoulder.
“How many times do I have to tell you to call me Claudia, Steven dear?” she chides.
“At least once more, Ms. Henderson.” he returns, turning on the charm that more and more frequently only worked on women hers and Ms. Byers age than on the ladies his age that he tried (and failed) to flirt with during his shifts.
Dustin grimaces, “Dude. Don’t flirt with my mom.” He scoots past his mom and heads towards the back of the store where he knows there’s a worn-in couch and wi-fi waiting for him.
Claudia shakes her head at her son, but continues on. “Thanks again for agreeing to watch him, Steven, he’s been super excited about it!”
“Oh, has he now?” Steve grins politely, but he knows he’s going to give Henderson so much shit about this.
“Moooom..” Dustin whines through the open window to the back of the shop.
She leans in closer to Steve like she’s telling him a secret. “Dusty said he was excited to spend time with his brother.”
Steve’s throat clenches tight at that.
“Oh shoot, I wasn’t supposed to tell you that!” she says with a wink. “He’s had dinner already, but I’m sure he’ll try to get some sort of junk food out of you.
“I’ll be back tomorrow afternoon, maybe early evening, and I’ll take you both out for dinner then, how’s that sound?”
He shoves past the emotion in his throat “Sounds great, Ms. Henderson, I’m looking forward to it.”
She gives him a smile, and calls towards the back of the shop, “Bye Dusty-buns! Behave!”
“Goodbye, mom!!” Dustin yells back, fully annoyed.
She and Steve share a covert snicker, and she heads back out the entrance with a final wave.
As expected, the last hour continues on without a customer showing up
Steve spends the entire time after Ms. Henderson leaves trying to get the persistent sticky film off the cracking linoleum of the tables; the register’s been counted since the last customer left about an hour before Dustin arrived, and he does NOT want to mop, so he just focuses on restocks and the tables.
Dustin comes out of the back at some point and plops himself onto a tabletop in the middle of the store, telling Steve all about his time at his nerdy summer camp (to which Steve sends back the appropriate ‘mhm’s and ‘Oh yeah?’s to his story while he cleans).
He zones back into the conversation when Dustin says “...hang on, I’ll go grab it from my bag and I can show it to you!”, jumping down off the table to go grab whatever it is that he was talking about.
As soon as he leaves, through the stark quiet of the empty mall, Steve hears the notes.
Thirteen notes. Whistled from somewhere in the building, that both strike him through the heart with overwhelming happiness and freeze him where he stands.
He has no clue as to why, but it’s as if his body recognizes the emotion that he’s supposed to feel upon hearing the tune, but his mind only registers it as vaguely familiar .
“What the fuck?”
“What?” Dustin says, coming back up to the table Steve’s been scrubbing with some sort of…thing in his hand.
“Nothing, forget it, what’s that now?” Steve nods toward the device and goes back in on the table in front of him.
He finishes with the last table just in time for closing, 9 pm, and for Dustin’s explanation about….okay, he still doesn’t know what it is that Dustin was showing him, to also come to a close.
“Okay Henderson, I’m just about done here, wanna help me with the cage?”
“Duh.”
“Alright, lets close this up and go out the bac–”
He hears the notes again.
“Did you hear that?”
“What?”
They’re both quiet, listening for the sound again, but nothing comes.
Dustin grabs the hook from next to the entrance to bring down the metal cage. “You hearing things Ste–”
There they are again.
“Ah ha! You heard it too! What the hell is that?”
“Uh, whistling? C'mon Steve, I know you’ve had a good couple hits to your noggin, but do you not remember what whistling is?" Dustin teases, but when Steve doesn’t say anything, “Steve? You still know what whistling is, right?”
“Huh? Yeah, yeah, obviously man,” Steve waves him off, “I'm just trying to find out where that’s coming from. I swear I know that tune from somewhere."
He mumbles the last as he steps out of the entrance to Scoops, walking slowly towards the center of the floor. He doesn’t get far, however, before he hears it again, coming from his right.
Whipping his head around, there are only two stores down that leg of the mall with the lights still on, Wyatt’s all the way down at the end, and the vintage Sam Goody record store two doors down from Scoops.
The whistle cuts through the quiet of the building and Steve follows the sound, the only thought that registers is that he’s glad whoever’s doing it seems to have the song stuck in their head so he can follow it better.
It’s definitely coming from much closer than Wyatt’s so he sneaks back to the wall and follows it to the record store.
“Damn it, I know that tune! Why can’t I place it??” He whispers, potentially to no one since he doesn’t know if Dustin followed him.
“I don’t recognize it at all.” Okay, Dustin followed.
The two sneak up to the mostly closed store and hide behind one of the columns that make up the doorway, its metal cage door still most of the way open, and listen.
They hear it getting closer to the entrance from inside the store before it gets drowned out by the rattle of the gate closing.
Whoever it is whistles the tune once more then goes quiet.
Steve sits and waits, still scrubbing through his memories to try and find the song. Soon enough though, Dustin whispers “C'mon man, let’s go.”
“No way dude, I gotta know who it was at least!”
“Well then look!”
Steve moves to peek around the column and scans over the aisles of vinyl…only to come up empty. They must’ve gone into the back.
He turns back and says as much to Dustin, “They must be about to head out, I didn’t see anyone in there.”
“You’ll figure it out another day then. Can we go?”
Steve sighs, but nods, a weird melancholy coming over him, knowing he’s not going to figure out what that song was.
He takes a single step back towards Scoops when the person starts singing; the lyrics match the earlier tune and their voice is low and raspy.
It legitimately makes Steve weak in the knees and sends him to the floor.
“What the hell, are you okay?”
“Shush!!" Steve scoots back against the column and sits there in the dusty corner, listening to the song.
“I'll swim and sail on savage seas with ne’er a fear of drowning and gladly ride the waves of life if you will marry me.”
Oh shit.
Oh fuck.
He does know this song.
The memory of his grandpa Otis singing this to his grandmother almost every morning while he stayed with them over summer is so clear now that he has hold of it, but how the hell does this person know it?
‘Dammit Steve, remember the lyrics!’ He scrubs his face with his hands and scans his memories for the next lines, pleading with his brain to give them up.
“No scorching sun nor freezing cold will stop me on my journey,” the person continues, quieter while they shuffle around the store.
It’s the next line that triggers Steve’s memory: “If you will promise me your heart, and lo—“
“And love me for eternity.” he sings aloud the next line, his butt getting cold from sitting on the floor.
“Who's that? Is someone there?” A jingling sound comes closer to the door, they must’ve been near the back of the store, did he sing that loud? Did this person have super hearing??
He looks over at Dustin, wide-eyed, to which the younger boy gives him an encouraging ‘shoo’-ing motion with a similar wide-eyed, smiling expression.
Steve stands and steps around the corner to face the other half of his duet before he can chicken out.
He’s greeted with the sight of Eddie Munson, local freak of Hawkins High, and subject of Steve’s longest standing, and most annoying crush. His long, dark hair is down but half hidden under a red bandana, his bangs and a few whispy pieces are pulled out from under it to fame his face. Dark jeans, a band tee, some retro reeboks on his feet and his store vest still over his shoulders...damn he's cute.
‘Has he been working here all summer? Oh fuck, that means he’s seen me in my uniform.’ his thoughts catch up to where he is. ‘Shit! I’m still in the damn thing! This is so embarrassing, can I still leave and not have it be weird..?’
Steve’s mouth and brain ignore his frazzled thoughts and take the reins for him, continuing the song on their own and sliding him past the gate into the store towards the other man as he does.
“My dearest love, my darling dear, your mighty words astound me,” he feels his face grow into a grin and reaches for the other man unconsciously to start the dance he’s known associated with full and true love all his life. “But I’ve no need for mighty deeds when I feel your arms around me!”
Eddie, who’d gone stock still, also seems to have a brain that’s working for him on its own accord and reaches back to take Steve's outstretched hand.
As soon as their fingers touch, Eddie unfreezes with a glowing grin and bright laugh, stepping with Steve in the long-learned dance as he continues the song. “But I would bring you rings of gold and even sing you poetry, and I would keep you from all harm if you would stay beside me!”
“I have no use for rings of gold, I care not for your poetry, I only want your hand to hold,”
Eddie cuts in with the echoing response “I only want you near me!”
“To love and kiss, to sweetly hold! For the dancing and the dreaming! Through all life's sorrows and delights, I’ll keep your laugh beside me!” the two race on together, picking the song and dance up in pace; kicking out their feet opposite the other while both their hands are grasped between them, Steve spinning Eddie out from him and pulling him back against his chest with his arms wrapped over and around him…Steve hasn’t felt this light in years.
The very last verse of the song has them locking their forearms together and spinning, practically prancing, in a circle. “I’ll swim and sail on savage seas with ne'er a fear of drowning and gladly ride the waves of life,” Faster and faster until:
“If you will marry me!”
Steve picks Eddie up at the waist, much like his grandfather would his grandma, spinning him through the line until they can’t hold the note any longer.
He sets Eddie back on his feet and they double over in laughter. Dustin, having entered the store at some point during their dance, is looking on like they're crazy.
“Munson! How do you know that song?!” Steve finally gets out, face hurting from how much he’s grinning.
“How do I— how do you ?? My mom would sing it constantly, even taught me the dance! How the hell do you know it?”
“That’s my grandparents’ song! Literally, like, okay not literally, I’m sure he didn’t write it or whatever,” he shakes his head and waves his hands, getting back on track, “but my grandpa would sing it to my grandma while he was doing his whole courting thing to get her to marry him. They’d sing and dance it almost every morning! How’d your mom get it?”
“She learned it from—“ Eddie's eyes widen in realization “From the couple whose house she helped take care of when I was little…”
Steve gapes at him in wonder. “Was that my—?” ”Was that your—?” they start at the same time, both men breathe out laughter.
“Steve Harrington.” Eddie shakes his head in delighted disbelief, eyes twinkling.
“That’s me Munson.” Steve can’t seem to stop grinning. “Better get used to that name too, cause as of now, we’re officially engaged.” He nods with finality, and heads back toward the exit, and waves at Dustin to follow.
“Oh yeah? That how it works? Maybe you need to sing it some more to convince me.”
Steve spins with a grin, walking backwards. “Anything you need, Future Mr. Harrington.”
Eddie splutters, his face turning a lovely shade of pink, but manages to quip back, “Who says I’m taking your name??”
Steve stops, pretending to think. “Hmmm. You know what? You got me, I’ve been writing ‘Steve Munson’ in my notebooks for years now.” Steve relishes in the bright red blush that spreads over the other man’s face at his (truthful) admission.
He gives the other man a wink and smirk before turning back and sliding out into the mall.
As soon as they are, Steve is accosted by Dustin's teasing.
“Ew! That was so gross and smarmy!” he’s grinning and jumping around, obviously trying to copy the footwork he just saw while they walk back to finish closing down Scoops.
Steve smiles, thinking back on Eddie’s flushed and happy face, his wild curls spinning out from him, the feeling of his hands around his slim waist, the feeling of Eddie in his arms…
Huh.
That was…definitely a series of thoughts he just had.
“It was the truth, Dusty.” He admits aloud.
“Pfft, yeah, sure Steve.” Dustin dismisses him, and Steve just shrugs it off, immediately imagining how funny it’d be, Dustin not taking him seriously until he’s invited to be Steve’s best man at his and Eddie’s wedding.
—-
“Aw fuck, it was right there, you even told me!”
“I did, yes.” Steve nods, leaning all his weight on the counter closest to him, elbows on the countertop. “Though I was just as surprised by the thought at the time that you are now.”
“How does he still think that you don’t like him?” Will laughs.
“He thinks I don’t like him?” he says, frowning over to Robin, down at the other end of the counter from him.
“Don’t look at me! We literally just had to force a musical number upon him in order to get him to figure out his own feelings; I don’t even want to know what we’ll have to do to convince him of yours.”
“I don’t know how much more obvious I can be, Bobs.”
Robin snorts, and the three teens start talking over one another at that. “You’ve already been–?”, “How’ve we not noticed…”, “Apparently you could be more obvious.”
“How Max, how?! Apparently he’s already proposed and Eddie’s none the wiser!”
“Don’t yell at me, Dustin.”
Steve huffs at the twos’ arguing, his brow furrowing further.
He looks back at Robin and before he can even get a word out, she says “I’d love to help Dingus, but I’m going to be absolutely no help in the ‘Guy’ area.”
Steve lets his head fall down between his shoulders, she’s right of course, but It’s actually Will that comes to his rescue.
“I might have an idea.”

Maybe something with Steddie, and Steve coming across Eddie being bullied pretty badly. Hurt/comfort 🥺 if you're interested of course
hi anon, i decided to set this in Scoops era, i hope that's okay!! sorry this took me so long to post :(( thank you sm for sending in a prompt <33
tw bullying, violence.
Steve hears them before he sees them. He's turned away from the door, crouched down to find and pull out a fresh tub of double choc chip when he tunes into the sound of a small crowd laughing. He pushes up off of the floor, kicking his legs out to bring the feeling back after being crouched for so long. There's no sign of anyone through the doors, but whatever's occuring is definitely getting closer.
There's only one other person in the store, Robin, who Steve exchanges a confused glance with. Robin shrugs and shakes her head. "No idea," she mouths.
So Steve carries on.
Five minutes later he gets a look at what's going on. There's a group of jumped up looking jocks - and, boy, doesn't that sight still make Steve cringe; makes him think about how he used to be - jostling and jeering at a lanky dude with long brown hair.
One of the guys darts forward and shoves at their chosen victim, who stumbles back and smacks his head a bit. Steve winces. He knows what concussion feels like and wouldn't wish it on anyone.
"Oh my-" Robin gasps. "That's Eddie Munson. What are they doing to him? They never- they never leave him alone."
The guy - Eddie, who Steve can vaguely remember from school - evidently retorts with something the group don't like, because he catches a solid right hook straight to the mouth. His head twists with the force of the blow and Steve watches blood spray from his mouth; gets stuck on the sight of the blood for a minute, oh god, Steve's so tired of blood and people getting hurt and-
"Steve, where are you going? What're you doing?" Robin sounds frantic.
He's hopped the counter in one smooth leap, the ice cream scoop already in his hand and his jaw set in determination. Steve shoots Robin a look and waves her back. She's got a hand planted on the counter as though she's going to follow.
Something hits the floor outside. The thud sounds heavy. Steve swings back around.
Munson is curled on his side, protecting his rib cage, and Steve sees red, a bit. He's out the door in a flash, strolling purposefully but with an air of calm that's only surface level, twirling the ice cream scoop as he goes.
"Alright, guys, that's enough," he calls, aiming for bored, plastering on that old facade he'd abandoned so long ago. "You're ruining my business here."
The group of jocks turn to face him, ready to tell him to shove off, but the one who is evidently the leader seems to recognize him. "King Steve!" he grins, holding his hand out to shake.
Steve just looks down at it dismissively. He's positioned himself between Munson and the group as surreptisiously as he can manage. "I'm serious, man, you guys wanna to get outta here - heard someone saying they're calling the police."
The group startles at that, shooting glances round the mall as if expecting the cops to flood the area any second now. "Shit," the leader murmurs. "Cheers for the heads up, dude."
They head quickly for the exit, seemingly having forgotten about their target. Steve huffs a sigh of relief and turns to look down at Munson.
The guy flinches hard when Steve crouches down next to him and sets a hand on his shoulder. "Fuck off, Harrington. I've- I've had- enough." Every word sounds like a struggle.
"Come on, man. We can fix you up out the back of Scoops."
Eddie opens his eyes then, staring blearily up at Steve. "Fix me up?" He sounds lost.
Steve nods. "Yeah man, gotta clean up that blood and check you for concussion. Don't wanna fuck with that, take it from me." He runs his eyes over Eddie's curled frame, bottom lip caught between his teeth. "Come on, man. Let me help you up."
Munson's eyes shoot wide. "Don't- touch me," he gasps.
"Shit. Shit, man, okay. I won't touch you. Just- come on. I was bullshitting about the cops but chances are someone did call."
Eddie laughs, sounding a bit incredulous. "You lied to your disciples? Are you feeling alright?"
Steve grimaces. "They are not my disciples. Now, let's go, yeah? Robin can help you if you don't want me to."
"Robin? As in band kid Robin? With the great laugh, like a fucking snort?"
"The very same."
-
They make it inside eventually, though halfway through the store Eddie has to give in to the need for support. He throws an arm over Steve shoulders, unable to fight off a groan at the pain in his side.
"Hey, man, you're okay. Not far now, I've got you." Steve fucking Harrington is being so fucking nice. It's unnerving.
When Robin has ushered them through into the back room of Scoops Ahoy, Steve directs him to on the staff table. Eddie can only watch in a mixture of both disbelief and a bit of awe as Steve opens a cupboard door and pulls out a tackle box filled with medical supplies.
"Alright," Harrington hums, turning back to Eddie. "Eyes up at me, please, Munson. How's that head feeling?"
And, oh, if this isn't the sweetest way Eddie has ever been touched in his life. Steve's hands and fingers are so gentle as they trace his jaw, eyes soft as he searches to make sure Eddie's gaze is clear. As he wipes the blood from Eddie's lip, Steve makes these gorgeous sympathetic noises in the back of his throat, and Eddie, god damn it, he can't help but want to hear more.
To check his ribs over, Harrington orders him to lie back. "Is it okay if we take your shirt off? You don't have to if it's not comfortable, but it'll just make it easier for me to check."
Eddie might lose his damn mind. Steve Harrington looking down at him with big, sincere eyes, asking for his consent to take his shirt off.
"Go for it, big boy."
If Steve's shocked by the nickname, he doesn't show it. He just blinks slowly and gets to work, apologizing time and again when Eddie winces at the movement of his arms.
"There we go, okay, you're okay, you're doing a great job, sorry, not much more now, you're good, you're okay-" Steve keeps up that endless stream of comfort, and whether Steve's aware of it or not, Eddie is beyond grateful for the hand Steve has curled over Eddie's wrist - for the way Steve gently rubs his thumb back and forth. It's grounding; soothing.
Eddie wants to sleep. He lets his eyes slip closed, grumbling when Steve's hand leaves his wrist. The grumble turns to a contented sigh when Steve cups his jaw, instead.
"Munson, hey, Eddie, man, you gotta stay awake. I'm sorry. It's a concussion thing."
Eddie blinks his eyes open slowly, looking up to see Steve leaning right over him, one hand planted firmly on the table beside Eddie's torso. Harrington grimaces down at him in understanding.
"I know it's not fun, but I'll be here with you, okay? Rob's gonna cover the rest of my shift so we can get you to the doctors, or the hospital, whichever you prefer."
They go to the hospital. And Steve does stay. And he checks on Eddie the next day, too, showing up at the trailer before work - and after, with a tub of ice cream filled with 3 different flavours in hand and no signs of leaving Eddie to eat it on his own.

Just a Little Crush by ruggedbrilliance
(14/14 I 27,885 I Teen)
Steve has come to a conclusion: Eddie Munson had a crush on Robin Buckley. Of course, that was the reason why Eddie kept showing up at Scoops Ahoy, it had to be. So he sets out on a mission to help them out and play matchmaker. But why does the thought of them together make his stomach hurt?
AKA: In a world without the Upside Down, Steve Harrington hasn't figured out that he's bi.

July 4 Random Word Almost-Drabble: Defend
Word Count: 404
——
“Fuckers,” Steve mumbles, kicking up a loose stone as the group of boys retreated. High school bullshit, he thinks. Can’t escape it. With a sigh, he turns back to Munson. The other boy sat on the curb, nursing his split lip with the hem of his Iron Maiden shirt.
“Here, let me-“ Steve belatedly realized that he hadn’t exactly run out here with healing in mind. Kind of the opposite, actually. “Hang on a sec.”
“You don’t have to-“ Eddie starts to say. But he can’t stop Steve from running back inside. He considers just getting back in his van and heading home, but Steve’s only gone for a moment. He comes back out with a handful of napkins.
“Sorry, couldn’t find the first aid kit. Have to talk to Robin about rearranging stuff back there. Will these-“
“They’ll do.” Eddie tries to smile, but winces at the pull on his injured mouth. He reaches for the napkins, but Steve ignores him.
“Let me.” And then, huh, King Steve Harrington starts gently dabbing at his bloodily lip. And it only stings a little. And for a long stretch of seconds, Eddie Munson doesn’t know what to say. How could he? With the prettiest boy in Hawkins playing nurse for him? In that silly outfit? He glances down at Steve’s Scoops uniform, at those ridiculously short shorts, and just as quickly looks away.
“You didn’t have to go through the trouble,” he says quietly, not meeting Steve’s eyes. “Not for me.”
The other’s hands never faltered. From his vantage point, Eddie could see the reddened knuckles on the right one. That must hurt, he thinks.
“Those guys give you trouble a lot?” Steve asks.
Eddie shrugs. “More or less.”
“Then yes, I did have to.” He swipes a bit too hard, making Eddie wince. “Sorry.”
“‘S okay.”
A few more light dabs, then Steve is stepping back, out of Eddie’s space. He crumples the bloodied tissues in his hand, presumably to toss into the trash can inside. Eddie hopes his disappointment at the loss of proximity isn’t too obvious.
“I think you’re good,” Steve says. His face looks suspiciously pink. Could be from the cold. Could be something else.
“Thanks for the help, sailor.” Eddie’s tone is light, half joking. A bit of a line, perhaps, to see if he gets a bite. And when Steve’s blush deepens, Eddie knows he’s caught a big one.

after the mall "fire", steve kept his scoops ahoy costume packed away in a box in his closet. it was a bit unusual for him to do, but there were just too too many memories associated with it to throw it out. meeting his best friend, his soulmate. saving the town. becoming an adult, drifting, trying to find his place in the world. plus, steve thought it looked kind of cute on him. in an embarrassing, "oh my god, look at what i was wearing when i was 18" type of way. it was the perfect thing to break out years later and laugh at.
steve had no idea what was coming.
cut to autumn 1986. more than two years after steve's scoops job, and now steve has a boyfriend. a big, stinky, metalhead boyfriend called eddie. and more and more recently, eddie has been sleeping over at steve's big, empty house, whenever his parents aren't around (which, if steve is honest with himself, is most of the time). so one cool september day, eddie has a bright idea - what if he brings some of his stuff over to steve's to try and lighten up the place, to make it theirs. somewhere they both live. when the two of them drive the boxes over to steve's and bring them upstairs, eddie is confused when he sees an identical cardboard box at the bottom of steve's closet.
steve will never forget the grin that spreads slowly onto eddie's face when he opens the box and looks back at steve.
and eddie? eddie is as ready as ever to associate some new memories with this uniform.

Teleplatonic
Summary: Robin starts hearing voices in Click's class. Well, it's one voice. A dude. Some douchebag jock who Robin's unrequited love has a thing for. Could high school be any worse? (5K words)
Warnings: Not much just Steve and Robin being platonic soulmates, mention of Steddie and Stommy backstory, Click's class and Scoops Ahoy era Stobin, the coming out scene (my beloved)
A/N: Many thanks to my discord ( @strangerthingswritersguild ) who encouraged me to take my silly idea and turn it into a cute lil fluffy one shot about the power of platonic loveeeee. Ao3 link here for those interested!

----------------------------------
At first, Robin thought she was going crazy.
Honestly, it wouldn’t have surprised her. She was already a closeted lesbian in the eighties, so she was doomed anyway. Might as well add schizophrenia to the list.
Click’s class was a mixed bag. On one hand, Tammy Thompson. On the other, Steve Harrington.
Ugh.
Robin had been in love with Tammy Thompson since the fifth grade, when they split a candy bar the day after Halloween. Robin wasn’t allowed to eat much candy growing up, thanks to her father being a dentist. Tammy extended an olive branch by means of chocolate nougat, and Robin had been smitten ever since.
This was their first class together in high school, and it was supposed to be amazing. Robin was going to work up the courage to really talk to Tammy and maybe even be her friend. Yeah, it might torture Robin even more, considering the crush that was clearly not going to go anywhere - Robin had watched Tammy date enough guys to know there was no chance, and even if there was, Robin was far too anxious to do anything about it.
But still.
The first day of Click’s class came, and it was perfect. Robin was paired up with Tammy to discuss an assignment, and they were getting along beautifully. Robin even made her laugh!
Robin was an idiot who got her hopes up, and those hopes were immediately dashed when Steve “The Hair” Harrington rolled into the classroom, late, and plopped himself down right in front of Robin.
Immediately, Tammy’s eyes were on him, and they stayed on him the rest of the year. It didn’t matter when he got bagel crumbs everywhere, or asked stupid questions, or laughed along when kids were being made fun of. None of that mattered, because Tammy didn’t care.
Robin hated Steve Harrington so much she never stopped thinking about him. She thought about how much she hated him, how much she wished he’d flunk out, and she even thought about ways she could sabotage him so he would flunk out.
But Robin was a good person, and she could never do something like that.
Anyway, thank goodness she was smart, because she barely paid attention in that class and still got an A. The problem was, she started hearing voices.
Well, no. She heard one voice, singular. A man, no less.
At first it was so soft, she figured someone was whispering behind her. She couldn’t even make out the words most of the time, so it didn’t matter. She’d look at Tammy, and she’d look at Steve, and everything else was a blur.
Over time, the voice got louder, and then Robin couldn’t ignore it anymore.
This class is such a snooze.
Honestly, it was. Robin would have been thinking the same thing, had she been paying attention. But then, the voice started saying things she didn’t agree with. Things she would never think.
Napoleon looks just like Aunt Margaret’s baby. Ha, that’s funny. I’m funny.
The voice continued, saying even stranger things. Usually very sexual things. Sometimes, downright offensive things. It was maddening.
Mrs. Buckley was a psychotherapist, so Robin grew up surrounded by literature about psychology and the human brain. She was aware of crazy people that heard voices, and she had no option other than to accept that she was on the road to becoming one of those people. It was just…it was weird though, because she only heard the voice at school. And it was always loudest in Click’s class.
The possibility that she was reading someone’s mind did occur to her, but that seemed impossible. It was impossible, so she had a hard time even letting herself think that. Yeah, Robin would have rather found herself crazy than let herself believe she was a superhero. Her mom would have had a field day unpacking that one with her.
Anyway, she finally put all the pieces together a few weeks in, after another particularly boring lecture in Click’s class.
I’m so lost.
Literally how? They were just reviewing information they’d already learned. She wondered if maybe this voice was a manifestation of her low self esteem or something. She wished she would have been able to tell her parents without worrying about being sent to the loony bin.
“Steve?” Mrs. Click called. “Can you name the four presidents depicted on Mount Rushmore?”
The voice continued.
Oh, shit. Shit shit shit. I’m screwed. Why is she asking me of all people? Do I look like I know the goddamn answer?
It was the first time the voice was responding. Robin’s head started reeling.
“Uhhhh -” Steve began. “Well, it’s, uhhh….” Okay, four presidents. I can name four presidents. If they’re wrong, she’ll move on.  “George Washington…”
“Very good,” Mrs. Click encouraged.
Right on, okay. Shit. Is Benjamin Franklin a president? He seems like he should be.
Robin’s breath hitched as she froze, recognizing the two voices as the same and officially coming to terms with her predicament. She gasped, cupping her hand over her mouth. A few people turned to look at her, including Steve, who only glanced at her before looking back at the front of the classroom.
Steve cleared his throat and sat up. “Uhh, what about all the presidents that aren’t on Mount Rushmore, right? Like - like Teddy Roosevelt. That guy was a total badass.” Steve folded his arms, as if he’d made an incredible, life changing point.
“Theodore Roosevelt is one of the presidents on Mount Rushmore, Mr. Harrington,” Mrs. Click said.
“Oh,” Steve replied, caught off guard. Fuck. “Oh, right. I mean, that’s what I was trying to say.”
You’re an idiot, Steve. A goddamn idiot.
Robin couldn’t help but feel sorry for him, in a way. She hated him, but still. He was a person with feelings. He couldn’t help that he was an idiot.
She raised her hand.
“Mrs. Click, I know the answer,” Robin announced. The teacher gestured for Robin to take over. “George Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, and Thomas Jefferson.”
Thank God for band geeks.
Robin sighed. Sure, she’d helped him. But he was still a douchebag.
-
The class carried on like this. Any time Robin felt any sort of connection to Tammy, she’d get distracted by the idiot who’s hair wasn’t even that good. It certainly didn’t warrant a whole nickname over. Steve “I don’t care” Harrington would have been more accurate.
That’s the part that drove Robin the most crazy. He didn’t care about Tammy. He didn’t care about school. He didn’t care about history. Why was he there? Why was his one true talent being the absolute bane of her existence?
I have to stop thinking about it.
Robin’s ears perked up, which was a silly phrase considering she wasn’t hearing soundwaves. The whole, “I’m hearing Steve Harrington’s inner thoughts” had lost its luster. Like, she thought she was going crazy, then she thought she was going crazy in a different way, and then she realized she was just cursed.
Worst. Superpower. Ever.
Especially because she couldn’t hear anyone else! What made Steve different? Why him, of all people???
Grow up, Steve. It doesn’t mean anything.
The voice sounded much more somber that day. Robin leaned back, closer to Steve’s seat, even though the idea of her being physically closer was a bit arbitrary.
Ugh, but Tommy looks so good today.
Wait, did he say Tammy? Was he finally giving Tammy the time of day?
What I’d give to kiss him again…
Robin’s eyes bulged out of her head. She practically fell out of her chair, causing alarm to the rest of the class.
‘Him?!?!’ Steve wanted to kiss ‘him?!?!’ Wait - Steve had this friend - Tommy H - and, ugh, that guy was even worse than Steve. He was meaner, and stupider, and -
STEVE WANTED TO KISS A GUY?! AGAIN?!
Robin scrambled back into her seat, muttering a quiet apology, and everything around her returned to normal.
She didn’t, though. Nothing would ever be normal again.
-
Robin survived Click’s class. Steve started getting a reputation. She didn’t talk to him, but there was nothing discreet about the way he was seen prancing through the halls with his arm around a different girl every week.
None of them were Tammy. Robin hated how relieved that made her.
It was strange. He was drooling about Tommy in his mind any time Robin was close enough to hear it, but on the outside, he was pretending to be something completely different.
For the first time, Robin realized she and Steve had something in common.
The following year, she avoided him at all costs. They didn’t have any other classes together, so she really only had to worry about casually passing him in the halls or sitting near him in the cafeteria. It just felt too real to be around him. She knew something she wasn’t supposed to, and that made her feel…icky.
Of course, they were at the same school, so they did run into each other a few times. Once, he literally bumped into her when he wasn’t paying attention.
“Woah, sorry,” he said with a laugh. Do I know her?
Robin rolled her eyes, and then she saw his gaze drift. Ugh, Carol. Why is he even dating her?
She ran away without another word, like a scared little mouse. He probably thought she was this weird, hyper, super-nerd, but whatever. It didn’t matter what he thought of her, and she wasn’t going to stick around long enough to find out.
Then, one day, she saw Tommy and Steve running off to talk in private, and curiosity got the best of her.
She had to know what was going on, okay? She was borderline obsessed with Steve at this point. She was far past trying to figure out what was going on in her head, so she settled for learning more about what was going on in his.
Besides, if they really wanted the conversation to be private, they would have gone somewhere that didn’t have a spot nearby prime for snooping.
She listened in from behind a wall.
“What are you on about, Harrington?” Tommy asked.
He’s not even listening. I don’t know why I’m surprised anymore.
“I’m just saying, she’s - like, what are you doing, man?”
There was a slam of a body against a locker.
“I got a girlfriend,” Tommy drawled. “You should try it sometime.”
God, his lips are so close. I could just lean in and - no. No, I have to get over this. I can’t keep doing this.
“Maybe I will,” Steve said.
About a week later, he was dating Nancy Wheeler.
Their paths didn’t intersect much at all after that. Robin did think about meddling or investigating the situation more, but it wasn’t her business. Steve kept telling himself he had to move on, and she did too.
She still thought about Steve constantly, but it was hard not to. He was literally in her head. Sometimes she’d pass by him and hear total nonsense. I’d rather be fighting a goddamn demodog than go to math. Most of the time he just thought about what superpowers he’d have.
And then, mercifully, he graduated.
-
That summer, Robin got a job slinging ice cream at a nautical-themed store in Starcourt Mall. She had to wear a stupid outfit, but, like - she was in the marching band, she was used to that. The job was fine, albeit boring. It gave her extra money so she could save up for…something, eventually. She didn’t know what yet. Maybe college? Every penny counts and all that.
But one fateful day in June, the voice came back.
No, no, no. I can’t go in there, not like this. It’s humiliating. I’ll - no, get over yourself. It’s just a job. You stupid pathetic loser, can’t even get into college. No, shh. This will be good for you. Just - oh my God, just go in!
Robin didn’t even look up from wiping the counter when her new coworker approached. She didn’t have to.
He was different than when he’d been in high school. He was sadder. It was even more miserable to hear him ramble on about his innermost insecurities than it was to hear him think about boobs.
Like, at least Robin also thought about boobs. She was insecure too, but that meant there was no space in her brain to hear anyone else’s thoughts about themselves.
The weird thing was, he didn’t think about Tommy at all, and he was flirting with every woman that came in. Unsuccessfully, but still.
It was…incredibly surreal, her becoming friends with someone and hearing them become friends with her at the same time. Robin could hear him trust her more and more as the days went by. She could hear him change his initial assumptions about her. She could hear him soften up, open up, and show her that he’d changed. He was different than he’d been in Click’s class. He’d left his high school persona behind.
She could hear him slowly fall for her.
That was the worst part of the whole thing by far. Worse than Click’s class. Worse than holding his secret feelings for Tommy, worse than the stupid questions and musings that made no sense. He was starting to love her, and she was starting to love him - but, she knew the types of love weren’t the same. She would disappoint him, and she’d lose him.
How strange it was to fear losing something she used to loathe having at all.
-
Honestly, by the time they were stuck in that elevator, she’d been prepped on everything based on Steve’s thoughts alone. There was too much going on for anyone to question her lack of freaking out. Besides, it’s not like Steve or Dustin were the poster children for good decisions under pressure.
At least, she figured they wouldn’t be.
Erica was strong and capable, but she was a child. So was Dustin, but it was abundantly clear to Robin that this wasn’t his first rodeo. Same with Steve, but she knew that already. Over the few weeks of them working together, she’d heard all kinds of things. Things she’d once brushed off as nonsense, that became too specific to ignore. The Upside Down. The Russians. Eleven. The Mindflayer.
Robin thought it was part of some game, at first. Dustin was into Dungeons and Dragons, right? She was pretty sure the Mindflayer was from that, but no. Steve wasn’t into Dungeons and Dragons at all - she checked - and she started hearing more about experiences rooted in the real world. She heard about what really happened to Barb, and how it ripped Steve and Nancy apart. She heard about how Nancy ran off with Jonathan, and how Steve let her. She heard about Steve becoming a babysitter in the thick of it, because he had to. She heard about how he got himself beat up in the name of protecting them.
And then she watched him get beat up again, in the name of protecting her.
She did love him. Yeah. It was against everything she’d ever believed, but she loved Steve Harrington. She just didn’t love him like that.
-
She tried to tell him when they were on the floor, tied to the chair, and seemingly with only hours left to live, if that.
She started laughing. She wasn’t sure what else there was to do.
Fuck, that hurt. Oh shit, she’s crying. “It’s okay, don’t cry. Robin.” Ugh, the way he was trying to comfort her even in the worst of times. It made her ache. She kept laughing, louder now. “Wait, are you laughing?”
Yup.
“Yeah.”
What the hell is wrong with this woman?
“Jesus.”
“I just can’t believe,” she began, “that I’m going to die in a secret Russian base with Steve ‘The Hair’ Harrington. It’s just too trippy, man.”
It was trippy for even more reasons than he could ever know.
Yeah, you’re telling me. We’re screwed. “We’re not gonna die,” he said. Another annoying consequence of this whole mind reading thing was that she would always know when he was lying. “We’re gonna get out of here, I just gotta think for a second.”
“Sure, please do,” Robin insisted, still laughing. Him thinking consisted mostly of, shit shit shit oh my God shit what do we do?
But Steve rarely let that side show. He was so much different on the inside, all the time.
“Do you remember, um - Sophomore year Mrs. Click’s history class?”
Oh, shit. That just slipped out. Then again, they were gonna die, so…
“What?”
Robin continued. “Mrs. Clickety-Clackety. That’s what all us band dweebs called her. It was first period - Tuesdays and Thursdays - so you were always late. And you always had the same breakfast. Bacon egg and cheese on a sesame bagel. I sat behind you two days a week for a year. Mister Funny. Mister Cool. The King of Hawkins High himself. Do you even remember me from that class?”
No.
He didn’t say it, and he didn’t have to. “Of course you don’t,” Robin continued. Thoughts of that year came flooding back to her like a tsunami. “You were a real asshole, you know that?”
“Yeah, I know.”
“But it didn’t even matter that you were an ass, I was still obsessed with you." The words were pouring out of her now. "Even though all of us losers pretend to be above it all, we still just want to be popular. Accepted. Normal.”
His thoughts were a mere buzzing in the background of her confession, but she did pick out him lighting up at her mentioning her obsession. She immediately wished she’d just been totally honest, because now she was being misconstrued.
“If it makes you feel any better, having those things isn’t all that great,” he said.
She knew that by now. She’d learned it through him.
“Steve, I -”
“I wish I’d known you back in Click’s class,” Steve said. “Maybe you would have helped me pass.”
“I did,” she confessed. “Or, at least I tried.”
“What?”
A buzzer shook them away from their conversation. She’d missed her chance. It was over.
And then came the truth serum. That damned, terrifying, life-changing, blessed truth serum.
Well, that and Dustin saving their asses with a cattle prod.
After that came more laughter and terror and running and even more laughter and more running and then they were in an elevator back up to the real world again. She was with her friend and she was ecstatic. It was like she was floating. She’d never so much as had a sip of alcohol, but this is what she always imagined musicians felt like when they wrote all those songs about being on drugs.
Popcorn. Back to the Future. Laughing, laughing, laughing. You know, the weird part about that truth serum was that she stopped hearing Steve’s thoughts, if only for a bit. He said everything he thought, so it really just sounded like an echo, and everything sounded like an echo to her. The colors were bright. The noises were loud. And Steve was -
Oh, no. Steve was her best friend.
They both got sick and ran for the bathroom. There was that rare moment of calm that, up until that point, she never thought she’d have again.
“You think we puked all that shit out of our system?” he asked.
Well. There was only one way to find out.
“Maybe,” Robin responded. “Ask me something.”
If he could read her mind, he would have heard something like - Ask me if I’m gay. Please, do this for me like I did for you. I don’t think I can say the words.
Instead, he asked her when the last time she peed herself was. She answered truthfully, but that wasn’t a truth she was scared to admit. They were being tortured earlier - peeing herself was the least of her worries.
“Alright, my turn,” Robin said. She took a deep breath and pondered the question, knowing that whatever she asked she likely already knew the answer to. But it wasn’t about knowing. It was about getting to the conversation she needed to have. If she didn’t do it now, she never would.
“Have you ever been in love?”
Steve answered quickly. “Yep. Nancy Wheeler, first semester, senior year.”
He didn’t mention Tommy, which was intriguing. From Robin’s point of view, he had dated her for show. Or, he’d dated her because Tommy rejected him.
“Really?” Robin asked, amused. “But she’s such a priss.”
Yeah, until she threatened to shoot me. “Hm,” Steve replied. “Turns out, not really.”
Woah. Okay. Evidently, Robin didn’t know everything yet.
“Are you still in love with Nancy?”
“No.”
“Why not?”
“Because I think I found someone who’s a little bit better for me.”
Robin took a deep breath and put her head in her hands. This needed to happen, but she was still so scared. Even if he wasn’t homophobic, he loved her, and she was about to turn him down. How could their friendship sustain that? What would happen if he hated her guts, and she had to hear him think it every time they interacted?
She listened to him list off all the reasons he liked her. She was funny. She was smart. She was cool. Beautiful. He said all the things she’d heard him say in so many ways on the inside, but now it was real.
She couldn’t find any words to respond.
“Robin, did you just O.D. in there?”
“No,” she replied, her voice shaking. “I am still alive.”
He slid himself under the stall against the disgusting floor so he could face her. Oh, great. This wasn’t going to help at all.
“So what do you think?” he asked.
“Steve, I have to tell you something,” she said. “That thing I told you earlier, about being obsessed with you in Click’s class - it wasn’t - it wasn’t because I had a crush on you.”
He listened so intently his mind went quiet.
Robin told Steve about Tammy Thompson, and she saw him process it in real time. It didn’t take long, once he understood what she was referring to.
“Oh,” he finally said. “Holy shit.”
“Yeah,” she agreed. “Holy shit.”
This is huge. I should tell her about Tommy. I should - I could - I finally have someone I can talk to about it.
“Steve, did you O.D. over there?”
“No, just thinking.”
I - I can’t. I can’t do it.
So instead, he did what he did best, and he made her laugh. And then the entire moment became focused on that, and how insane it was for them to be on the floor of the Starcourt bathroom after having spent days underground being tortured by Russians.
She didn’t get to tell him her other secret that day. They were quickly interrupted yet again by Dustin and thrust back into the madness.
But it didn’t matter. She knew she’d still have a friend once they saved the world.
-
After Starcourt “burned down” (Robin had to admit, she kind of loved officially being a part of the inner circle. She was now involved in the madness, and even though it was terrifying and awful and traumatic, it was so much more exciting than her world used to be), Robin and Steve decided to keep working together, because of course they did.
He had her secret, and she had his. He still didn’t know about that second part though.
They got a job at Family Video, thanks to her excellent ability to think on her feet and ramble until people gave her what she wanted. Keith was relatively easy to persuade.
After she came out to him and they became best buds, reading his mind developed into more of an echo all the time when it was just the two of them, because he told her everything he was thinking exactly the way he thought it.
There was only one thing he left out.
Tom Cruise is so hot. Oh God, do I have a kink for dudes named Tom?
Then, after Eddie Munson came in a few times - Huh, okay. There goes the Tom theory.
Robin couldn’t take it anymore. So, one day, when Steve was driving her home, she blurted it out.
“Steve, I can read your mind.”
He laughed at first. “What?”
“I can read your mind,” she said. “Just yours.”
“Uhhhh, is this some kind of weird joke?” he asked.
“No,” she replied. “I’m - ugh, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know how to tell you, and I - I’ve felt really awful about it, but I’ve been hearing your stupid thoughts ever since Click’s class, and I tried to tell you that day, but then I ended up telling you the other thing, and this felt like too much, and then we became really good friends and honestly it’s barely a thing anymore because we tell each other everything except for -”
“Wait, what??!”
Yeah, she knew she sounded crazy.
“Remember that day Mrs. Click called on you to ask which presidents were on Mount Rushmore? And you totally bombed?”
“No,” Steve said. “That kinda thing happened to me like three times a day.”
“Ugh, okay, well -” Robin stuttered, at least grateful he wasn’t kicking her out of the car. “Never mind. It’s just -”
“It’s only me?” he wondered. His voice was different now. “What am I thinking about right now?”
Robin honed in on his inner voice. “You just thought about how you accidentally stepped on a copy of The Breakfast Club and smashed it, and instead of confessing to Keith you told him that John Dover stole it and never gave it back, even though John Dover isn’t real.”
Steve’s eyes went wide.
“Hoooooly shit,” he said.
“Yeah.”
“Holy shit!” he repeated.
“I know!”
“Oh, my God!”
“I know!”
“Robin, this is insane!”
“I KNOW!!”
The car went quiet as Steve continued to wrap his brain around this. Well, it was quiet to anyone but the two of them.
Why is it only me?
“I don’t know,” Robin answered.
“Will you quit doing that?”
“I can’t help it!” she shot back.
Steve took a deep breath. “Okay, so you’ve been reading my mind for years. Got it. Cool. Totally cool.”
“I’m so sorry.”
“For what?”
“For not telling you.”
Steve gave a comforting smile. “Oh, yeah. You should be sorry for that.” Robin smacked him in response, and suddenly they were laughing again.
“Jerk!” she exclaimed. Once their laughter died down, he hummed in amusement.
"You know, it's really not fair you can read my mind and I can't read yours."
Robin nodded. "Agreed." There was another moment of silence between them.
“Huh,” he said. “Do you think we’re soulmates?”
Robin cocked her head and furrowed her brow in confusion. “What? Ew, Steve no -”
“Not, like, sexy soulmates,” he clarified.
“Sexy soulmates? Really?” she teased.
“Give me a break, Buckley,” he replied. “I just found out you’ve been in my head for two years, alright? It’s weird.”
She couldn’t argue with that. “Yeah.”
“So,” Steve continued. “You knew about the Upside Down stuff before the elevator thing.”
“Yeah.”
“Which means you also probably know…”
The Tommy thing.
“Yeah,” she confirmed.
“Stop saying yeah.”
“Okay.”
“I guess I just -” Steve sighed, throwing his head back against the seat. “I guess I’m freaking out a little, cuz like - privacy and all that.”
“I wish I could control it, trust me -”
“No, I know that,” he replied. “I mean, shit, if I could be out of my own head I would be. But, like, I don’t know. It’s kinda nice that you’re in there. Like, if it had to be anyone…”
“It would be your non-sexy soulmate,” Robin concluded with a smirk.
Steve returned it. “Oh, I’m gonna regret that, huh?”
“Forever and ever, babe.”
She couldn’t believe it. Finally, everything was out in the open. It was all up from here, right?
“Okay,” Steve said. “Well. If this is happening whether we like it or not, better put it to good use, right?”
She raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean?” Steve grinned. Robin’s eyes widened as she heard his idea moments before they were spoken.
“Robin, I’m gonna help you talk to girls.”
WHAT?!
-
This was hopeless and humiliating. How Steve was able to convince her this was a good idea, she would never know.
Tammy had graduated and gone to Nashville or whatever, but Vickie…
They had so much in common! And she was so pretty, and so sweet, and - and they played right next to each other in the marching band!
Of course, Robin could barely squeak a word out whenever Vickie looked her way. Thus, Steve decided she needed to practice.
He let her take some of the pretty customers instead of keeping them all for himself. At first, it was rough.
Be cool. Act like you don’t even like her.
“I don’t even like you.”
Okay, not like that.
It got easier, though. Eventually, Robin started to take hold of that classic Harrington charm. She wasn’t getting numbers or anything, but that’s not what it was about. It was their own special thing that they had. A secret mission. An inside joke. A bit they were fully committed to, even if only for their own enjoyment.
It was so weird and ridiculous, but whatever.
Robin Buckley and Steve Harrington, one-sided mind-reading duo and non-sexy soulmates. Who would have thought?

Babygirl Steve this, Scoops-Ahoy-era steddie that...
But no one's talking about Nancy stumbling into Scoops Ahoy after a day of shopping for outfits for her new job, and coming face to face with Robin Buckley in a sailor uniform????
Scoops Robin is Nancy's bisexual awakening and it takes them a year to meet again but in 1986 when Robin is in her room, going through Nancy's things, and Nancy's supposed to find them clothes to go speak with Victor Creel... All Nancy can think about is Robin in that stupid uniform and how easy it would be to pull her in by that red tie and kiss her lips...... And also how nice it would be to have Robin on her lap in those shorts, free access to her thighs.
She's looking for outfits for them in her closet, but her mind is in the gutter, wondering if Robin got to keep her old Scoops uniform.
