They encounter something on their hike, something that brings a buried desire to the surface and transforms it into an unquenchable lust.

*Minor Spoilers* It's not often that I can write a rec post immediately after reading a fic, but I'm able to now, and more than that, I'm BUZZING to talk about this fic!! This was so good!!

In this human AU, Crowley and Aziraphale are coworkers at an advertising firm with a complicated past. Right off the bat, it's a setting that works perfectly. Aziraphale works on an upper level and Crowley on one of the lower ones, so it parallels perfectly to the canon of Heaven and Hell being different levels of the same office building. Aziraphale hates Crowley for reasons you'll find out, and when he is paired up with him for a company-mandated hike, well, he's not happy. I loved their chemistry, the banter, the stupid puns. Really, everything in the first half of the story kept me super engaged and fulfilled even if it had ended there.

But then we get to the next half of the story. Here is where it went into overdrive for me. It's a much more casual fandom for me, but I've been an X-Files fan since childhood. Usually, the plots of episodes are really hazy for me until I'm actually rewatching them. So, it took me a while to make the connection on the "loosely based on an X-Files episode" tag. Ohhhh, what a genius inspiration!!! This is a sex pollen fic, so expect some uncontrollable sexual urges. But more than that, expect things to not be as they appear. I simply cannot say more, you need to find out for yourself how this plays out.

This is so, so, so much fun. I loved this a lot. My only complaint is that it's not a million words long and it ended. Please, more X-Files inspirations/crossovers. Oh my god, I didn't realize how much I needed that. After dark read that I hope you guys also enjoy!

Mulder is so moved by Scully’s noble sacrifices that he puts his “selfishness” aside to get her what will truly make her happy. 

CSM’s Home Sweet Home 

““She can see a rainbow of emotions fly across Dana’s face before she nods her head in agreement. Dana finger’s curl around her own phone, the metallic blue of the Razor glistening in the bright sunlight.

“Do you need to make a call before we go?” Anna Maria asks her kindly.

Dana shakes her head, “I want to see the house before I call, makes no sense getting….I prefer to see the house first.””

Monica’s realtor aunt gets two interesting clients; but loyalty to her niece keeps her nose directly out of their business. 

Chibiness’s Impulse Buy

““Missy told her once her impulsiveness would only end her up in trouble; that no good could ever come from an impulse buy. So she swapped her impulsive attitude from clothes to life choices.

Like swapping her focus from medicine to the FBI.

Scully impulsively buys a house for Mulder; but her happiness drops when she thinks Mulder doesn’t want it. Happily, that is not the case.

Mulder rents Legally Blonde to shake up his and Scully’s odd feelings.

Mulder was nowhere to be found.

They had just purchased the unremarkable house.””

Scully finds Mulder awake one hot and sticky night, simply absorbing the feeling of their new house. She joins, content.

Mulder and Scully are so happy with their domesticity that they dance.

Mulder waits for Scully to wake from her drugged sleep, reminiscing over their relationship and their daughter.

A shock of almost white blond hair weaved its way through the crowd, and Crowley’s breath caught in his throat. Under the surface of his cool facade, the hopeless optimist awoke. Could it be him? He serpentined his way through the crowded dance floor in hot pursuit of the sum total of his hopes. 

Had his hopes ducked into the loo? The door was nearby, but there was a line. Surely his dream man wouldn’t skip the line. Crowley turned back around and scanned the crowd again, spotting a familiar figure dancing with the mother of the bride. 

He felt the tug of fate as he took in the man’s well-tailored, albeit a little worn, beige suit. The man looked older, yet somehow also exactly the same as he had ten years prior.  Crowley’s heart fluttered. His stomach churned, but he could do this. He could approach the one who got away. He clenched and unclenched his clammy hands. 

When Anathema had talked him into being her plus-one for a wedding, he’d accepted because he owed her one. It certainly wasn’t out of the goodness of his heart. The thing was that weddings reminded him of how lonely he was. So, he’d decided to make things interesting by betting her he could bring someone home from the reception. If he did, she’d owe him dinner. If he didn’t, he owed her. 

All he had to do was pick up a beautiful man, handsome woman, or stunning non-binary person in the span of a few hours. He’d fully planned on losing the bet, but he thought it might motivate him to at least flirt with someone, maybe get a phone number. But this, well, this changed the game. And it was so much more pressure than he needed, if he was honest.

We started this week with the great news of exclusive interviews with the cast of The X-files will take over the Den of Geek magazine at New York Comic Con.

Brian Howe read for a part on Thursday but sadly he won’t be appearing on Season 11. (X)

New tbt picture from Gillian and this time I actually understood it!! “You’d think stylists hadn’t been invented in my 20’s. #tbt”

It’s been revealed that the panel will be moderated by Michael Ausiello! “ I'm X-static to announce that I will be moderating @thexfilesfoxpanel at #NYCC this Sunday (1-2 pm, Main Stage). Gillian posted an adorable video where they are on a filming site, in-between takes and apparently she likes to spend her spare-time with recording David taking pictures of the sunset. They are adorable and our heart is full and definitely melted one more time ❤️️ ❤️️ “Can’t decide if my favorite bit’s the balls, the shoes, or the stuff in between.”

Michael Ausiello posted a picture of him and David at NYCC. 

WE GOT TO SEE THE FIRST TRAILER OF SEASON 11 AND IT IS F**KING FANTASTIC!!!

There are so many things happening in there and so many emotions...so of course, we all collectively lost our s*** after the trailer aired. There are some great theories out there about the storyline. As always, @campaignofmisinformation does have some interesting theories of what is going to happen... And I sooo want this to be true!!

Mulder saying ‘My son’, Scully saying “Our son” made all of us cry, Mulder and Scully running into the forest, through a cemetery made us all sentimental, Scully being a proper badass made us all proud, Mulder looking spot on made us all hot... and the table was set for two!!! FOR TWO! IN THE UNREMARKABLE HOUSE. FOR TWO. Okay, enough yelling. 

Vulture published a new photoshoot by Dylan Coulter featuring Gillian Anderson & David Duchovny

I still don’t know how to handle this information but apparently, Gillian Anderson was spotted tryna climb the fence behind the nycc before the panel.

Before the panel, Gillian recorded a video of their walk to the event. 

In the press room, someone asked Gillian about Season 10: “What went through your mind when you read the script for the s10 finale of X-Files? Gillian Anderson: What the fuck?!” (X)

There is definitely a new photo shoot we can look forward to... we could see one picture of Gillian and David bts.

I haven’t watched the panel, yet as I’m on holiday but will make a separate post about it, after I did watch it. But one of the best stories ever: David Duchovny would jump in-between a bear and Gillian Anderson if he had to. You know, casually be saving her life type of thing.❤️️❤️️ 

After the panel Gillian posted a little video of the audience and her; ‘Thank you one and all!  @NY_Comic_Con @thexfiles #nycc #nycc2017″  and David retweeted the trailer: “Thanks to all the fans at comic con and beyond...#TheXFiles”

Michael Ausiello also posted a video after the panel. He is discussing the event with Gillian Anderson. She has one thing to say: David was very funny.

Gillian gave an interview to Buzzfeed. “Talked to Gillian Anderson today. (h/t @bimadew)“

Den of Geek also interviewed the cast and they took some pictures at the Comic Con: “Thank you to the amazing @thexfiles team for answering our questions (and showing love for our mag) at #NYCC!”

Indiewire published an article after the panel and they tweeted: “Scully is not screwing around in the new trailer for @TheXFiles Season 11. Don't mess with @GillianA”. Gillian responded: “Damn straight.”

Well I don't know about u bitches, but for me there was definitely an ice tea in that bag!

Putting 9 women together from different countries could potentially spell disaster, but we put our faith in the universal language of "X" and created a wonderful dysfunctional family over the coarse of ten days.

I couldn't have asked for a better group dynamic with a bunch of hilarious, generous and truly caring ladies with a touch of crazy in moderation that just allows for so much fun and laughter.
