I decided on this shot to be my final product. I came to my decision by assessing which photo presents my intent appropriatly, showing the contrast between the style and look of old skate shots and the modern day streetwear style that is worn by most skaters now. My model wears an arcteryx beanie, orignially an outdoors brand known for their clothing made for hiking, however has now been taken on by the 'gorpcore' fashion aesthetic. My model also wears a supreme cross body bag, one of the most notorious streetwear brands worn by prolific skaters and influencers. I shot this photo outside at a local harbour on the marshes. I feel this added an 'out of place' vibe, which I feel resonates well with the context of 'Locals Only!'. As well as my location for this shoot relating with the brand Arcteryx (being outdoors in somewhere remote looking), I feel it also metaphorically represents the idea of real skate culture being lost.
