#work is driving me insane 💀#so the last Saturday I was told to go on my break at 18:30#so I said okay since it was still about 18:00#so it’s about like 18:34 and my manager was like you can go on break when this supervisor comes back#and let me tell you this supervisor piss off every two seconds so I had to wait until he came back#my manager was literally like where is he and I said I don’t know#so anyway supervisor comes back and then leaves again for sometime#and the when he comes back I say to him btw I’m going on my break so he knows to stay#so basically make my food and if I’m not mistaken it probablly around about like 19:50-59#so go on my break which is 30 minutes#and I think I have a 5 ish minutes left and this guy comes to look for something in his bag#and he says the manager is raging and complaining that I took a 45 minute break#and I said to him I literally didn’t I’ve got a couple minutes left#so as soon as my timer goes off I leave the staff room and the supervisor who always wonders off literally asked if I went on a 45 minute#break and I’m like no#the thing that upset me the most if the people who went on their break after me literally took extra but no one told them off or looked for#them and I’m like what the actual heck it’s like I’m held to a different standard then other people#like it’s generally not fair#and apparently there’s a new rule where they time peoples break and no if people didn’t already dislike me#they are going to dislike me now and even more 💀#It’s just so frustrating to be accused of something you didn’t do smh#gatherrambles#g/work

UPDATED Run through of all the demon lore on Tina's 14 hour stream (and some funny moments and only half timstamped because im lazy and doing this for the second time):
- Tina flew for the first time confused, questioned if she was a god and pretended to be an angel to Etoiles
8:10:40 - started flying again and put on an echo-y voice and then a deep voice as she threatened Etoiles for diamonds but still confused why she could fly
- recklessly flying around and most times the echo voice was put on (demon voice??)
(8:35:00 Troubleshooting her demon voice and also states that apparently the flying wasn't planned and she has no clue whats happening)
8:39:40 - let the flying get to her head in that she'll be stronger and better than everyone else because she "forgot how good it feels" to be herself
(angel wings are faster than demon wings apparently)
- flew back to her house - insulting Cellbit's house and threatening him and being possessive of Bagi before realising how possessive she was being and decided not to be demon mode anymore
(Asked the updates admin not to tell others so she could keep the flying because she's a good guy)
(8:54-10:04 break of making a gift box for Empanada and just hanging around)
10:04:50 - she lost empanada and began to fly around and use the demon voice to find her and when Em questioned her flying Tina tried to move the situation on
10:18:35 - suddenly went into cinematic mode where it darkens on top and bottom with a bright spot in the middle in the shape of an eye then it kept flicking on and off and she promised not to do "it" again
- "No watchers necessary" the fuck does that mean
- a ring of fire started to form around her and Em and she begins to threaten the air and say she's has no intention of going home
- shouting that she shouldn't have spread her wings but she's not going home - is being threatened for flying and they've come to drag her back to hell as punishment
- got given a key called "you" and belives that the threat was also extended to the people she loves (Em and Bagi) so wants them to be fully protected
- mentions she has wings and is given a teared feather
- em is excited and wants to go flying but apparently its a "great sin" that comes with trauma and baggage
- "they don't like my type of flying, birds only I guess" hell linked to the federation?? Evil cuca??
- mouse can be told and Tina wants her there but BBH is a bottom of the barrel/last option because she gets annoyed by him (doesn't know if mouse fell or was born demon)
- it's a last ditch option to turn Em into a demon to survive but Tina doesn't know how to do that (if she fails to save Em "God so help [her]")
- giant fire appears on top of the hill and she comments how unforgiving and cruel they are because she's been the best (out of the demons??) And she's promised not to do it again but they're still taunting her
- chat and Tina get jump scared by an enderman
- doesn't want Em to tell Bagi but she will tell her she's a demon in either a month, year or century because she's surely awake or alive at somepoint
10:52:50 - Tina calls for a pause/cut so she can eat
10:56:56- got the shit scared out of her by the sudden appearance of a vat of acid in the lake (Em couldn't see but heard the burning)
(Em got Bad Omen for an hour and 30 and Tina fished up neptunium)
11:08:20 - a tree is lit on fire across the water and Em tells tina after it finishes but it starts again so she can see
- cinematic mode comes back and she begins to complain in demon voice to the "big guy downstairs" and doesn't know what the eye shape means questioning whether they're looking through her eyes
("Spending my Saturday night with my child" it's Thursday morning???)
- fire appears on the land across from the dock with a floating crown that then disappears before the fire
- quickly flies up a bit before settling and saying "interesting" - testing if there is immediate punishment??
11:17:42 - got the achievement "Who's da New King of Hell?" With an image of the crown from before and the step backwards and be lit on fire and tells the "dumb bitches" that she's not coming back
(Ben_Fox_ that was not the time but it was funny as fuck and you had an excuse)
- doesn't want Em to hang out with Mouse too much now - maybe doesn't know if mouse would also be contacted and how she would react?? Saving Em from more danger??
(Tina's scared that her lore could hurt Em and it can't happen because she only has one life)
11:41:15 - Em's favourite creature is a moloch and since she likes fire Tina wonders if she can live with her (in hell??? She'll have to eventually go back??)
11:50:11 - Tina mentions that Em "could be happy there" while she's staring at her Moloch pet/child - maybe if she took Em to hell she'd be safe than in the overworld
11:56:39 - tina tells Em to kill the bees' bloodline and praises her for her bloodlust and then uses her calm demonic voice to call her over to start fishing (the demon power is going to her head and its scaring her child...)
- Tina is now incredibly paranoid about everything
12:24:03 - Em disappeared and Tina immediately panicked and used her demon voice (but she just went to name her moloch Aelia) and then flew up a little - possibly to see if they would come back/she would be punished??
- started accidentally flying again while cutting trees but because nothing happened she continued to because it was easier
12:38:16 - Em tells Tina about her accidental trip to the Nether and Tina tells her not to go again because she doesn't want her to get hurt and she get get stronger if she hangs out with Uncle Bad a bit
(When Empanada goes off to put torches around Tina begins playing No More Birthdays by Sophie May and has canonically said this is how q!Tina feels about Em)
- was using her demon voice to compliment Em but then was messing around with the settings to make it high pitched
(Tina wants a lasso - take her daughter flying??? Please!!)
13:17:11 - realised that she had Speed for like 10 seconds and she doesn't know whether it's her "demon-like reflexes" or the pie but she didn't get it before so definitely demon shit
13:18:01 - accidentally flies again and then in demon voices says she's "changing" - return of her demon powers she can no longer suppress!!
(13:21:37 Met the English Bunny (his language was set to Portuguese, Xaninho/Agent 18??) That Em couldn't see and later named him Donny/Don-Don/Ronny)
13:27:55/13:30:47 - told Donny that the soul lanterns in her house weren't oil but lost souls she had collected but their not the ones of the people she's killed and used her demon voice scaring them
(Em nodding along to Tina talking about Ronny's appearance while not being able to see them and then proceed to fake sleep)
13:43:44 - Ronny finds the comments about fire and souls concerning so he questions the soul lanterns more and Tina explains they're not necessarily dead people but wandering souls kind of like catching fireflies
(Ronny tries to start shit between Tina and Bagi over the Giraffe and Tina threatens with her demon voice and is told to calm down)
14:10:48 - despite saying multiple times that she needs to only use her flying when needed she starts flying around Em again and then when Em gets her horse put Tina starts flying a few times to catch up/accidentally (really only stopping because Foolish was in chat)

//The frustration is so real.... Here comes a work vent... If it's not you're thing, just ignore. I'll delete later, but I'm desperately needing to get this off my chest.
I've never been so utterly frustrated with work.
We have a young clerk that we hired back a little over a year ago. She's 21 now, has a one year old and is dealing with the kid's father, who is younger and cheated on her. So he's not really in the picture, so to speak. She lives with her mom right now.
She worked here when she was in school, but when c/vid hit, the owner "furloughed" her and someone else. Both ended up quitting. She was hired back when we had someone else quit last year since she was already somewhat trained.
Was fine at first, but her attitude towards others, we have learned, isn't the best. We've had mentions that she has been rude and at least 1 customer literally said that she has the personality of a tree. She has also been "written up" once or twice before.
She is currently less than part time so she can keep her state health insurance.
I've given her the benefit of the doubt, of course. Maybe it's just being blown out of proportion, but as time went on, she's become more and more flaky and undependable. Almost every pay period since she's been back she has missed a day a two. Either due to her kid or herself constantly being sick, which I get. It happens, but it's become such a regular thing anymore. Sometimes she'll also say she has some kind of emergency and is very vague about details and when or if she will be at work, which gives us little time to get coverage for her, if any. One time she was supposed to cover for someone on Saturday, but the day of, she was suddenly sick. This has happened on more than one occasion.
When she does mark herself off, she tends to either forget to tell anyone or just assumes it's fine. For example, a couple days prior, she half heartedly mentions that she won't be in on a Monday because it's her son's first birthday and it's special. Mondays are normally busy and she didn't even mark it down.
On top of this, she is supposed to take 30 minute lunch breaks. She marks herself down for such, but spends an additional 20 or so in the restroom afterwards. It might as well be an hour, but it's clearly not marked that way. Let alone the fact that she just randomly disappears in the middle of stuff for the same amount of time without saying anything multiple times per day.
So recently, several of us has voiced our frustrations with her. My husband, who is mostly in charge of the scheduling, talked with the owner, who already isn't fond of her because she has a nose ring, among other things. Supposedly he just wanted to fire her, but they're going with another approach. Getting fazed out, in a way. She will get her hours cut starting next week when school is out and two of our other employees can actually show up and work.
My husband informed her of this last Wednesday, after she somehow suddenly became sick and wanted to leave at 3. Afterwards, she left upset, and later texts him asking if she were to "accept" these new hours, which would be 3-6 m-f (because she doesn't want to work Saturdays, which is just 9-1), if she could get a raise...
When I was told about this, I couldn't wrap my head around it.... So she wanted more money for less work?!! And the fact that she assumed it was a choice?? I'm just.... I don't....
I have worked here for more than ten years and I don't think I've ever dealt with this amount of stress with another clerk. I am also a clerk. I am full time and, anymore, I feel like I'm babysitter when she's here just to make sure she isn't rude with people.
Maybe this is selfish of me. I'm older than she is, obviously. I have no kids and don't plan on having any, but as someone who doesn't and has had to work since I was 18, lost 2 parents at 20, and moved out shortly after to get away from my abusive step mother, I've been fortunate enough to work my way up to this point where my husband and I are stable with money and stuff and still have some luxuries sometimes. It wasn’t easy by any means.
And to some extent, I have some of my mom's leftover life insurance money to thank for a few things, but aside from that, neither of us were never just handed anything. We both have had to work our asses for this.
I will admit, her situation sucks all around. We have at least one tech who is against the idea of cutting her hours. He told my husband that it's "evil" and she's just a kid.
Maybe I am selfish. I have no kids and I don't know what it's like, but it's increasingly difficult for me to feel sorry for someone who's work ethic is almost nonexistent and just thinks she can get away with being paid more for doing as little as possible. Let alone made some poor life choices. I hate that I have think of it this way and I feel terrible, but I'm just frustrated to no end anymore.

June 18 Money Blowin’ in the Wind
We were sad to leave our Hostal Casa Baba oasis this morning, but off we went at 5:45…after I chugged a cafe con Lethe that I bought last night. Walked to the marina and sat down for 1/2 our cheese and tomato sandwich that we bough5 yesterday..a bit stale, but fuel. Then, of course, the first part of our half day hike was straight up to the top of a cliff. Sunrise and already sweating profusely. We opted (see photos) for the dangerous, rocky, steep coastal route rather than the route every man told us to take because of our packs which was I
An inland road route. Steps, stairs. Tree roots, rocks, steps stairs…etc..but the odd thing was today there was an abundance of runners, speed walkers, joggers…insane amounts. We called it “Sports mode” see why on Elyse’s blog post…it was so strange, and this went on for miles..as we were turtle pacing along…beautiful beautiful walk…a bit precarious but did well… Elyse says she felt like she was walking through mud for most of the day, and her speech sounded like she was eating mud…mumbling and not opening her lips…haha…
We walked for 5 hours to our lunch/beach stop. This was to be our end of hiking for the day..but in order to catch a bus, we had to hike into the city which was at least another 3 miles along a highwayish type road following the nice walking path under the mid day sun and heat. But first we had lunch on the beach. We decided that enough sandwiches, we needed protein. So Elyse got. Beautiful a press salad and added grilled chicken and I got my beloved grilled sardines..see before and after photos.
Walked to city to find bus station..it is Saturday and everything is closed in town and no people around…siesta time even on Saturday. Finally get to empty bus station, try to read schedule…unclear, but we think there is a bus to a town near where we are heading at 3:00…it is 2:00, I need a bathroom. We go to a backer where Elyse buys these beautiful bite sized desserts…see photos…I go to the bathroom….
Back to the bus station to dink around and wait…close hiking poles, change shoes and tie on bag, find change and mask for bus, look at map, basically dinking around…as Elyse had her “shit” in her hand counting change, she let go of her money and it started blowing around the train station….as she jumped up to grab the blowing bills, she dropped her credit card…knowing it wouldn’t blow, she scampered around under the bench and the platform gathering euros…then her credit card…I just watched in disbelief…omg
Bus comes 30 minutes late and we board ..but at the same moment my mask breaks and is dangling from my face. I clamp the nose and board…explaining to the bus driver our final destination…he was concerned for us, understandably…because we needed to connect to a different bus from ours, but we would have to wait for 1 or two more hours for a 14 minute trip. We get dropped off at bus station and the driver gets off the bus to show us the schedule and I have this understanding how we were doing. At the same time Man I was at the station asking if the bus went to where we were going, L’Estartit. It wasn’t..he had already called a taxi and offered to share it. We waited 20 minutes and hitched a ride to our hotel..talked the whole way with both our new friend and the taxi driver…
To hotel…it is fine, clean, old and worn, but only option available in town. Did our chores, walked around town and now drinking wine and ordering tapas at 2.50 each. Ordered sandwiches from the hotel so they will be ready when we check out. 22 km tomorrow no water or food the entire way our bags will be so heavy filled with food and water…what will I leave behind?
Walked by lots of tiny cove fishing villages today ❤️
Also, I learned of my no dogs react to me when I say “bueno Perro” because in the Catalonian language, dog is “gossa” not “perro”. More good dogs all day long. Beaches, jogging, swimming, walking..all good dogs…..
The photo of the square of water is the public was basin in the city center where we took the bus! In use…
Strange day..good day for me…unclear for the mud walker…

just you. (p.js) *ೃ༄
pairing: soft dom! jay × female reader
genre: smut, fluff, soulmate au! kind of angsty it has a happy ending I swear (praise, making out, protected sex, oral (f-receiving)).
summary: in a world where everyone gets the name of their soulmate tattooed on their wrists when they turn 18, finding out your best friend is your soulmate was not how you planned your 18th birthday to go. now, what’s so bad about that you might ask? you see, jay despises the thought of soulmates. but maybe he doesn’t despise them so much when it comes to you.
please note, this work is purely that of fiction. and not meant to represent what the enhypen members are like in real life.
A/N: guys no why am I so soft,, anyway I’ve been wanting to write this for a while now, so I hope you enjoy!! and I'm reposting this now, as this didnt get a lot of notes on my old account cause of all the reporting and stuff!
word count: 3.4k
warnings: mentions of heartbreak, crying, mentions of food.
you bit your nails as you paced up and down your room, a nervous habit you’d picked up in your junior year of high school whilst dealing with the tremendous stress and pressure school put on you. well lucky for you, you had graduated now and your 18th birthday was just around the corner. specifically, exactly a week from now.
your best friend jay sat on your bed staring at you with amusement written all over his face as he quietly observed you, before moving up to stop you and pull your hands away from your face. “you’re going to wear yourself out” he mumbled softly, pulling you to sit next to him and rubbing your shoulder in a comforting manner.
“I know I know, I’m just nervous, what if they’re all the way on the other side of the world? or even worse, what if they’re someone I know??” the panicked expression on your face was seemingly too much for jay to handle as before you knew it, he had almost rolled off your bed, laughing his ass off at you.
you see, your “dearest” best friend jay never believed in soulmates. he himself never actually got a name on his wrist, a sign that his soulmate had not reached the age to get theirs. to say he was ecstatic would be an understatement as he was at a party that very night, hooking up with a random girl before going over to your house the next morning with a massive hangover and a sullen expression.
it hurt you to see him that way, hooking up with random people, praying that he wouldnt run into his soulmate. and it hurt even more when you thought of how his soulmate was probably so excited to meet him even if they didn’t know him yet.
if only you knew where you would be a week later, wishing it was you who never met him.
present day
the time on your phone read 11:57, and jay had shown up to your house at exactly 11:30, punctual as always, giving up his usual saturday night parties to spend the night before your special day with you instead. he held your hand in his, one thumb running up and down the expanse of your knuckles soothingly, the only thing grounding you in the tense moments before what was basically the biggest moment of your life. your eyes never met his once, only flickering from the clock to your wrist every few seconds, almost as if it would appear before time if you stared long enough.
12:00 a.m.
it was almost as if everything stopped in that moment as the words appeared on your skin. the crickets stopped chirping, that one car alarm outsode your house stopped beeping and both you and Jay stopped breathing, even if it was just for a few seconds. one by one, letter by letter, black ink slowly trailed up the soft skin on your clean wrist, marking your skin for the rest of eternity. you watched with bated breath as tbe letters curved their way into your skin, into your soul.
“P-A-R-K” looks like your soulmate would have the same last name as your best friend. “J-O-N-” that was when the realisation of what was about to happen dawned upon you. “no, no, no, no” was all you could think. “this wasn’t supposed to happen”
meeting jay’s eyes for a split second, you could see the shock on his face, the same shock you knew was written all over your face at that very moment. yanking your hand out of his warmer one, you stared at the 2 words displayed on your wrist. “park jongseong” you whispered as a one lone tear ran down your cheek, falling to you chin before disappearing into the soft material of your sweater.
this prompted jay to push up his own sleeve, the words that seem to have appeared on his wrist confirmed what you both already knew by that point. jay park, your best friend since you were 5, your rock, your everything, was your soulmate. if the situation were anything but this, you would have been jumping for joy, ecstatic that your soulmate was the man you’d grown up with your whole life. but unfortunately, that was not the case.
“_______” he whispered, voice hoarse as he held your hand in his again. gripping it tightly this time so you wouldn’t be able to let go this time. not that you wanted to anyway. “jay” you whispered back, attempting to smile at him, despite the tears that were threatening to overflow at any moment. “I-I need time to think” he said, so softly, his eyes full of nothing but remorse. “I understand jay, take your time, don’t rush okay?” you replied, squeezing his hand in reassurance. he wistfully smiled at you one last time as he pushed himself off your bed and walked out of your bedroom, closing the door with a small ‘click’, leaving you alone in the darkness of your room, mind racing and wondering what were you were going to do with this newfound information.
you fell asleep after much tossing and turning, your mind full of nothing but jay and his name that was now tattooed into the inside of your wrist. you were woken up by the bright smile of your parents, you mother holding a plate of pancakes and wishing you a happy birthday. the sight alone was enough to make you burst into tears as you wrapped your arms around her, seeking her familiar scent and comfort after the rough night you had. your parents seemed shocked, but did not press you to open up, wrapping their arms around you as they attempted to comfort you.
your mom was no foolish woman, as she seems to have caught on to what was bothering you on your special day. “its about your soulmate isn’t it?” she asked as she placed a glass of your favourite chocolate smoothie in front of you, wiping her hands on her apron. you looked up at her, disbelief written all over your face as she chuckled at you. “how did you know?” you asked as she smiled slyly at you. “I have my ways, and besides, I’m your mother” she replied with a wink. you groaned, dramatically resting your head on the counter as she laughed and gave in. “I saw jay walk out of your room last night with tears streaming down his face, and considering you woke up crying too, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out what went down there”.
“you should talk it out with him sweetie, he’s not just your soulmate, he’s your best friend. despite how he feels about this whole fate thing, I’m sure the both of you will be okay.” her words reassured you as you grabbed your backpack, and walked through your front door. not even 2 minutes later you heard the biggest scream and you were tackled into a hug. giggling, you wrapped your arms around the taller boy as he squeezed you tightly. “happy birthday ______!” he said as he let go of you and continued your walk to school. “thanks sunoo” you said, smiling at the younger boy who had the biggest grin on his face.
“soooooo” he began, looking at you with an expectant expression on his face. you pursed your lips, already predicting the question that was due to escape his mouth any second from now. “jay” you said, cutting him off before he could even open his mouth. “JAY?!?!!?” he said, a little too loudly, mouth agape as he processed the information. you shrugged as he linked his arm with yours, understanding that you didnt want to talk about it.
luckily, no one pressed you about your soulmate for the rest of the day, warded off by sunoo’s glare the moment they looked like they were going to ask. you sat next to jay in all your classes, the atmosphere tense and awkward between the two of you. everyone seemed to have figured our what happened by that alone, your normally boisterous voices muted and soft. you went out after school with sunoo and riki, your mood heightened by the laughs and jokes of the two bickering boys.
when you got home, the house was eerily quiet, your parents nowhere in sight, all the lights turned off save the one in your living room. and there on the sleek grey sofa sat Jay, looking down at his hands as he anxiously played around with the rings he always wore. your footsteps alerted him of your presence, as he shot up off your sofa to greet you with a crooked smile on his face, black hair sticking up in every direction.
you smiled at him, already preparing yourself for the worst, as he walked towards you. “your parents have gone out, they handed me the keys and told me to come and talk to you if I wanted, and-” he cut himself off in the middle of his sentence, taking a deep breath and holding your hand. here goes nothing he thought. “I want to try. this whole soulmate thing I mean. maybe i wouldnt be this way if it was anyone else, but it’s you, my best friend, and I don’t want to lose you.” he mumbled out the last part, but it was still clear enough for you to hear. you couldn’t help the smile that stretched across your face at his words, his own face breaking out into a grin at your expression. you reached up on your tippy toes to wrap your arms around his neck as his hands went around your waist.
he buried his face in your hair, your soft vanilla scent calming his racing heart, and that was when he realised how much you really meant to him. he loved when you would always being him snacks after soccer practice, he loved when you let him lay his head on your lap and you ran your hands through his hair, he loved seeing the expressions you made when you ate his food, he loved you.
“I made something for you” he said, pulling away from your embrace, leading you to your kitchen and making you sit down on the counter. he grabbed a plate of your favourite pasta and a fork before lifting up a mouthful and holding it out to feed it to you. you smiled, wrapping your lips around the fork as the flavours exploded in your mouth. “oh my gosh, this is good, you’ve really outdone yourself.” he smiled at the complement before pressing a kiss to your cheek and muttering a little “happy birthday love”, leaving your face feeling hot and an uncontrollable smile on your face.
the rest of the evening went by in hin feeding you food and taking a few notes of it himself, lots of little cheek kisses, before the two of you settled down on the couch to watch a movie. it seemed like jay had gotten over his awkwardness as he pulled you to sit between his legs the moment the movie started. you looked back at him in shock, wondering when he got so bold before he pressed a kiss to your lips and told you to focus on the screen.
it might not have been the perfect first kiss, but it was with jay and that was enough. he played with your hair throughout the movie, and moved it aside at one point, pressing little kisses along the expanse of your neck. it was when he landed his lips on one particular spot that you let out a little noise, one you never even knew you could make that made him sit up a little straighter.
it was almost as if a switch flipped within him as he tightened his grip around your waist, one hand slipping up your hoodie to caress the skin near your waist. “I didn’t know you could make such pretty noises baby” he whispered in your ear, his hot breath sending shivers down your spine. “well i didn’t know i could either” you whispered back, the realisation of what was about to happen making your body feel like it was on fire.
“are you sure you want this? we don’t have to do anything you dont want to sweetheart” he said, pulling away with a kiss to your cheek. you shifted so that you were facing him, legs wrapped around his waist and you reached your hands up to play with the hair at the nape of his neck. “I’m sure jay, theres no one I’d rather do this with than you.” that was all the affirmation he needed, as within seconds you were being dragged to your bedroom by an overexcited jay.
he pressed you up against your room door, hands coming up to lift your thighs and wrap them around his waist, your core meeting his very obvious bulge. taking advantage of the gasp that left you, he allowed his tongue to skip into your mouth, taking control of every aspect of the kiss. pulling away, he brought you to your bed, gently letting you down onto the mattress, and reaching up to pull your hoodie off you.
“so beautiful” he whispered as he reached behind you to pull your bra off, before lifting his own arms to pull his own shirt off, leaving his body on display for you. just for you. he reached down to tug one of your nipples into his mouth, gently sucking and wrapping his tongue around the sensitive bud, his actions leaving your mouth open in a silent moan.
within minutes, both of you were left completely naked as jay continued to trail his lips down your body, pressing little kisses to your inner thigh before his mouth finally met your core, the smallest motion of his lips leaving you breathless and squirming. “stay still sweetheart, good girls don’t move around so much”. his words sent vibrations spreading throughout your body, not doing anything to help with the heat that was coursing through your veins.
his tongue delved in and out of your dripping hole, one of his hands rubbing your clit while the other held your legs open for him. “jay- i- I’m gonna-” but he was gone the moment the words fell from your mouth. and he was a sight to see. your juices mixed with his, drool and spit dripped down his chin, as he ran his tongue over his lips with a smirk on his face.
“oh so the baby wants to cum? don’t worry love, I’m going to make you feel so good”. he reached into his jacket and pulled out a condom before rolling it on and lining himself I with your entrance. he grasped your chin gently, pulling you up to look at him and planting a loving kiss on your lips. “I love you so much sweetheart, so so much” he whispered, pulling away from your lips. “I love you too jay” you said back, watching as he smiled once, before intertwining your hands and then, pushing himself into you.
nothing had ever felt as good in that moment as he gently, softly pushed himself inside. the feeling was euphoric, having your soulmate inside you in such an intimate manner. your bodies moulding together perfectly, bursts of colour lighting up the back of your eyelids as your eyes closed at the feeling of him in you. he began thrusting in and out of you slowly, not wanting to hurt you. but at your signal, he began moving faster, groans and moans escaping both your lips, finding pleasure and love in each other.
it didn’t take long for you to reach your high at all, his length hitting you in all the right places, leading you to ride out your high much faster than you expected, jay following soon after. he finished inside the condom, reaching out to pull it off and throw it away, before walking to your bathroom and grabbing a wet cloth to clean you up with.
he was greeted with the sight of your tired smile as he returned, gently cleaning you before tossing the rag and gathering you up in his arms, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “does this mean you’re mine now?” he asked, reaching down to bury his head in your hair, his hands absent-mindedly tracing shapes and figures on your bare shoulder. “it does if it means you’re mine too”. he smiled at your response, pulling the blanket over the two of you as you drifted off to sleep in the arms of the one person who would stay with you forever.
thank you for reading!! I hope you enjoyed and I hope you drank enough water today! ♡♡♡

A replay of the Royal wedding of King Liam and Queen Carsyn of Cordonia was playing in the background as she packed her clothes in the small carryon. She giggled when they kissed. Although it was rumored that the king was into black women, something seemed off when he kissed his bride. She had watched this wedding a half dozen times and still couldn’t really put her finger on it. She was headed to New York to stand up in the wedding of one of her sorority sisters. After landing her dream job in Dallas, Riley couldn’t wait to meet her sorors in New York to celebrate. After all, Norah was about to marry the man of her dreams and Riley was truly happy for them.
There was currently no man in Riley’s life and no prospects. Maybe she’d meet someone in Dallas or maybe she was destined for the life of a career woman. Maybe there would be no happily ever after for her. She turned out the lights in her new downtown Dallas apartment, and grabbed her carry on dragging it to the door as she headed to the airport.
Tumblr media
She opened the door to see her latest amazon purchase on the door mat. She took a moment to retreat inside to open the box. She was hoping it was delivered before she had to head out. Her pink Bedroom Kandi toy was still packed away lost in the sea of boxes crammed into her guestroom. She knew that she would not survive this long weekend in NYC without some form of sexual entertainment. She was disappointed when she opened the box to find her new toy was smaller than the picture made it look. Her flight left in 2 hours and her uber was downstairs so she shoved the disappointing toy in the side of her bag and headed down.
After the uneventful three hour flight, she finally landed at JFK. Mack was supposed to pick her up from the airport. She stood to the side as people herded to baggage claim to send a quick text. A group of men came from the opposite direction. One was this tall, very attractive Asian guy who looked alot like King Liam. He was with a few other men but there was one in particular who caught her eye. He was beautiful, he had dark hair and the most beautiful blue-grey eyes. The guy who bore resemblance to King Liam smiled and winked at her, while his brooding friend who definitely glanced at her, kept moving. She was snatched from her day dream when Mack texted to say she was outside.
They checked into the Crown Plaza in Manhattan, freshened up and changed into their little black dresses before meeting the girls at a local rooftop lounge for appetizers and drinks before the bachelorette party.
Tumblr media
The sounds of Dua Lipa’s “Don’t start now” played in the background and encouraged a slightly inebriated Lauren to shake her body on the empty dance floor. Still licking the wounds behind a very fresh break up she intended to use this weekend to drink her troubles away and vowed to nail a stranger.
Tumblr media
The hostess seated a group of gentlemen at the table directly behind the ladies giving Riley, who never sat with her back to the door the best look at the group. It was them. The men from the airport. When they were settled, Riley’s eyes met with the Asian guy’s who was smiling and licking his lips. She rolled her eyes and turned to Kourtney.
“So, how is Gabrielle, is she two now?”
“Yes, she’s great. Busy, but great. That was real smooth. You have an admirer.”
“Ugh, I saw those guys in the airport when I landed. He smiled at me then too.”
“But now there are two of them looking at you like you’re a steak.”
Riley coyly glanced at the group again, this time noticing the dark haired man looking. She blushed and turned back to Kourtney right as the server approached with a whiskey sour, complete with a phone number written on the cocktail napkin.
Tumblr media
“How did he know what you drink?”
“Girl, I have no idea. Should I drink this?”
“Sure, they wouldn’t have served it if it had been tampered with. But the real question is are you going to call him?”
“Me? Noooo. What would I say?”
“What do you have to lose?”
“Wait, you have never dated a white guy before have you?”
“Well, no. Not that they aren’t attractive. I just never had one interested. Not all of us find our Prince Harry.”
“You do now. Besides, Chris is no Prince Harry, but he does treat me like a queen. I have always wondered if there are people who would rather be alone than to date outside of their race. Chris is the best thing that ever happened to me.”
“I definitely would date outside of my race if it were the right person. He is gorgeous, I’m still not calling this guy. He’s going to think i’m desperate.”
“You are!”
“I am not!”
“When was the last time you got laid? Mack told me about your toy.”
“Remind me to kill her later. It’s been 8 months, 3 weeks and 5 days. But who’s counting?”
“Exactly,” Kourtney cackled, drawing the attention of the men at the next table.
Maroon 5’s, “Moves like Jagger” started to play as they continued to chat.
“May I have this dance?”
Riley was disappointed to find the King Liam look alike.
“Thanks, but my feet are killing me.”
“That’s too bad,” he said as he flashed her a sexy smile.
Tumblr media
Just then she glanced across the rooftop to see him whisper something to his brooding friend. In an instant the guy with the beautiful eyes headed over and slipped the DJ a tip and whispered something in his ear before heading Riley’s way.
“Kourt, shit! He’s coming over here what do I say?”
“Don’t. Let him do the talking.”
He held out his hand and smiled at her and she was sure her panties were ruined.
“Hey, did I get your drink right?” he asked placing her hand in his.
“Actually, yeah you did. Impressive.”
Just then the DJ changed the song to Silk Sonic’s, “Leave the door open.”
The stranger pulled her to her feet.
Tumblr media
“Let’s dance.”
His scent was intoxicating, his arms where strong and she could get lost in his eyes. He held her with a familiarity that made her feel at home in his arms.
“So are you going to tell me your name?”
“Drake. And you are?”
“Riley.”
“We don’t have to talk right now. Let’s just dance. Just use my number when you’re ready.”
“Their bodies swayed slowly to the song before her friends pulled her away to the next leg of their night.”
Two weeks later
After a very long weekend in New York, Riley was back in Dallas. She had been there for almost a month and hadn’t met anyone at all. Well, there was Will from work. But she doesn’t date co-workers and she is pretty sure he is gay. In her freetime she goes to the gym, and eats at new restaurants  a few times a week, which leads her back to the gym. After a particularly long work day, circuit training and an hour on the treadmill Riley came home and poured herself a very large glass of wine. She filled the tub, lit some jar candles and grabbed her toy and the romance novel that she was currently reading.
She was soaking in bubbles up to her neck when her phone rang, it was Kourtney. Out of all her friends she probably checked on Riley the most. She dried her hands and pressed the speakerphone button.
Hey Kourt,
Hey Ri, what’s new?
Not a thing, work, the gym, dinner, wine repeat.
That’s sad. No human interaction?
Not really. I’ve hung out with Mack and Ben twice but I always feel like a third wheel.
Remember when I told you to call the guy from the rooftop?
Yeah.
I meant every word.
I will think about it. I gotta go. Early morning. Love you.
Whatever, I know when I hit a nerve. I love you too.
Three days later
Riley was as lonely in Dallas as they come. She thought about online dating but wanted something more organic. Kourtney’s words lingered in the back of her mind. Maybe she was right. Riley had nothing to lose by reaching out to the handsome stranger who sent her the drink in NYC. She decided to take the plunge.

The next morning Riley sat on her balcony reading the paper and sipping amaretto flavored coffee when her phone rang.
Hey Mack!
Hey, I am running into church and I know it’s short notice but Ben is out of town next weekend and my college roommate is getting married down in Waxahachie. Please tell me you don’t have plans and you’ll be my plus one.
I’ll have to check my planner. She laughed.
Who am I kidding? I don’t have plans. Free booze, food, and maybe a groomsmen to have a fling with. Count me in…
Yay! She squealed. I will pick you up Saturday morning and we can ride down to the ranch together.
Saturday
The doorbell rings and Riley grabs her clutch and the wedding card she got for the newlyweds before heading down to meet Mack. They catch up while they take the 30 minute drive out to the Walker Ranch where the ceremony is to be held. Mack talked about feeling like an after thought when it came to her boyfriend. Riley mentioned the need for human interaction, more specifically from a man and how the one man she met in New York lives in Europe. When they arrive Riley takes in the vast land and the beautiful event space.
“Savannah’s family owns this ranch? Wow, it’s massive.”
“Yeah, I know at one time they were really struggling to keep things afloat. But it definitely looks like they are doing well for themselves now.”
“Right? I love when family businesses do well. It’s really a gorgeous day for an outside wedding. But we should probably take our seats. The ceremony will be starting soon.”
Mack led Riley to a couple seats on the bride's side. Before long a very serious looking groom and an officiant that Riley could only describe as a King Liam look-a-like stood under a wedding trellis decorated with blush colored blooms. The violinist started to play a beautiful arrangement as the attendants began to descend the aisle.
“All rise and receive the bride.”
They guess all stood and turned to receive Savannah. She was a stunning bride. Then Riley laid eyes on those hypnotic blue-grey eyes. She instantly broke out into a sweat. She couldn’t ever mistake those eyes for someone else’s. He was as beautiful as the first tine she saw him. She swallowed hard and her mouth went dry. Her heart seemed to be pounding out of her chest, she was shaking when she gave Mack’s hand a firm squeeze.
“What’s wrong Ri?”
Before she could answer, his eyes met hers, he bit his lip and her knees buckled.
“Um Ri?”
“It’s Drake from the rooftop in New York..”

Pairing: Andy Barber x Reader Warnings: Infidelity and sexual content. If you dislike this, please don’t read. Thank you.

Tumblr media
I should’ve woken up alone. However, when my alarm went off, an arm flung itself over my middle and a voice groaned, “Shut it off.” Fear not-- this arm and that voice were not disembodied. Worse! They belonged to Neal Loguidice. I reached out, grabbing my phone and shutting the alarm off. Neal snuggled closer, pressing his face into the back of my neck (I hadn’t figured the guy for a cuddler, and he’d kept his distance when I was falling asleep the night before, which was why I’d figured he’d ditch. I hadn’t stayed up to make sure, I mean, fuck, he’d come through the front door, he knew where it was). “What time is it?” He mumbled. “6:30,” I answered. “Why the hell is your alarm set for 6:30 on a Saturday?” Neal grumbled. “I’m going into work, remember?” I reminded him. I reached down, removing his arm from where it had wrapped around me and sitting up, raking a hand through my hair as I yawned. I got out of bed, grabbing my bathrobe from where it was flung over the back of the chair at my vanity and pulling it on before heading into the bathroom. I looked like hell. I felt like it, too. I showered, brushed my teeth quickly, then hurried into my bedroom to get dressed. “You weren’t kidding about going in, huh?” Why was he still in my bed! “Nope,” I said, opening my drawers and rifling through them for something to wear. I heard him sigh, followed by the rustling of sheets. I was an inch away from making a solid sweater selection when I felt Neal kissing my shoulder. “You sure I can’t get you to change your mind?” He murmured. I rolled my eyes, knowing he couldn’t see my face. The sex hadn’t been bad, it just hadn’t managed to be as hot as the four minutes of... contact that Andy and I had had in his office. And Andy and I had been fully clothed the entire time. “As tempting as that sounds,” I said, coating my tone with as much honey as I could muster, “I really do have to go in.” -- “Can we talk?” I didn’t need this. I didn’t need this now, I didn’t need it later, but I really didn’t need it after working for five hours. I wasn’t even done, I was just stepping out for lunch. It was like a punch, seeing Andy leaning against my car. I hadn’t bothered to stealth-park it like I had for the last few weeks; I had other things on my mind. “...Laurie told you that I was working today, didn’t she,” I said, folding my arms over my chest. Andy nodded and I scoffed, shaking my head, muttering, “Unbelievable.” “If anything’s unbelievable here, sweetheart, it’s you working on a Saturday.” “Don’t,” I said sharply. Andy closed his mouth, nodding and muttering, “Alright,” Before meeting my eye. “We should talk,” He insisted. “Somehow I don’t think that’s a good idea.” “Come on, please, I just... I wanna clear the air.” Andy stared me down, imploring, and it only took seconds for my resolve to crack. I huffed, turning and waving my ID at the keypad before I opened the door, waving him inside. His brow furrowed. “You wanna do it here?” He asked, coming closer. “Would you rather we do this at your house?” I sniped, batting my eyelashes. Andy didn’t answer, just pursed his lips and stepped inside ahead of me. -- There was no one else in our office, and I knew none of the cleaning staff would be sweeping through for a while, but I still led Andy into a conference room on the off-chance someone else decided to come in and get some work done. I flicked the lights on and closed the window’ blinds before I shrugged my coat off. “Fucking 800 degrees in here,” I mumbled, tossing it over the back of a chair. Andy hummed in agreement, pulling his own coat off. I leaned against a window, watching him. It was almost odd to see him in something that wasn’t a suit. He looked cozy, in a navy blue sweater and a pair of jeans. My eyes darted to the chain on his neck, my mind flashing back to the feeling of it under my palm. I rubbed my hands together, trying to push the thought away again before I regarded Andy. “So?” I asked. “So,” He nodded, resting his hands on the back of a chair and leaning against it, “Last night, uh... Last night was unexpected. Especially considering the fact that you’ve been actively trying to avoid me.” “Is that really all you came up here for?” I asked, unable to keep irritation from seeping into my tone, “What, are you going to say it was all a big mistake and that we were drunk?” “No, I’m not gonna make an excuse like that--” “Then what?” I snapped. Andy’s head dropped forward, and I felt my stomach curdle. I hated this. I should’ve left my Barber contact to Laurie, god knows this never would’ve happened with Laurie. “There is...Something about you,” Andy said quietly, lifting his head to look at me, “I lose my head when I’m around you. I don’t know what it is.” “Well figure it out.” Andy’s jaw tightened with irritation, white-knuckling the back of the chair as he straightened to stare me down. “I’m not blameless here, you know,” He pointed out. I huffed a humorless laugh, nodding. “Trust me, I know that.” “So what is it for you? Do you already have it figured out?” “What it is for me shouldn’t matter to you.” “Does.” “Shouldn’t.” “Does.” “Stop that.” Andy’s lips quirked with an amused smile - one that made his face look incredibly hot and stupidly punchable. He drew himself to his full height, rounding the table slowly, a calm, stalking stroll. His fingertips trailed over the tabletop, and I tried not to think about them bunching up the skirt of my dress just hours before. “You wanted me,” He reminded me as he grew closer, “You wanted to touch me, and you wanted me to touch you.” “Watch it, Barber,” I warned. That stopped him in his tracks, just a couple of feet from me. “We’re back to that?” he asked, unimpressed, “I think I liked it better when I had you squirming and moaning my name.” I bit the inside of my cheek, flushing hot at the reminder. “’Moaning’ is an exaggeration,” I said indignantly. “But squirming is accurate?” Andy teased. He took a few steps closer, eyes drifting over my face, lingering on my lips before he met my eye again. “Did you think about me?” He asked. I frowned, confused. “...What?” I asked. “Neal let me know on his way out that he was heading to yours for a drink.” I turned my head away from Andy, looking somewhere, anywhere else. Of course that had been some stupid power play on Loguidice’s part. Andy had humiliated him in front of me and Neal had made it a point to let Andy know that he’d gotten to me anyway. “I put two and two together,” Andy added. “Well, you’re not an Assistant DA for nothing,” I grumbled through clenched teeth. “You gonna deny it?” Andy pressed. “Why would I?” I asked, lifting my eyes to his again, “Who I fuck is my business.” Andy’s jaw clenched at that, and I watched him take in a deep breath before he crowded closer, bringing his hands up to bracket either side of my head. “Did you think about me?” He murmured. This was not good-- maybe there was something to Andy saying he lost his head around me. I seemed to lose any and all semblance of rational thought when Andy was this close. I could smell the sharp, earthy sent of his cologne, see his chest rise and fall under his sweater. I swallowed thickly, lowering my eyes to wear the light was glinting off of his chain. “You should go,” I whispered. “Do you want me to?” Andy asked, “Be honest. You tell me to leave, I will. Just say the word, sweetheart. Do you want me to go?” I hesitated before I shook my head. Andy’s hand gripped my chin, tipping it up to meet his eyes. “You used to squirm back when you babysat for us, too. You think I didn’t notice? You think I didn’t see you watching me?” He murmured. His words sent shock shooting through me; I couldn’t bring myself to look away from him, but his gaze was so heavy it felt like it might break me down. I managed to shake my head a little again, sucking my lip in between my teeth and he cooed. “Of course I noticed you, sweetheart. Blushing and biting your lip all the goddamn time.” He reached up, running the tip of his thumb along the seam before he tenderly pulled my lower lip from between my teeth. “Last night--” I tried weakly. “I wanted to ruin you,” Andy groaned, resting his forehead against mine, “Right there, on my desk--” “I would’ve let you,” I admitted, tipping my head back to rest against the window; my head felt like it was buzzing, like I couldn’t keep it up any longer. My nose nudged against his as I moved, and Andy pushed out a short, sharp breath. “Yeah?” He asked. I nodded. “Did you think about me when you were with him?” Andy smoothed his thumb over my cheekbone, and I melted. “Yes.” When I was younger, I had imagined this a thousand times. I had an idea of these chaste kisses that Andy would give, cradling my cheeks, like I was something small and fragile. My fantasies were innocent; Andy and I would regard one another softly, come together sweetly, and part ways with gentle, but sensible smiles, knowing it was the right thing to do.  There was nothing soft or sensible about us now. Andy’s lips crushed against mine as he finally closed the space between us. I allowed my hesitance and nerves to give way to hunger and I reached up, hooking an arm around his neck and keeping him close. Some part of me was worried we’d both come to our senses at any second, and I wanted to hold onto this brief insanity for as long as possible. But it didn’t end. Andy didn’t reel away like I expected, and I didn’t reach up with the intention of pushing him away as I had the night before. There was no lingering specter of his family nearby, of what we were betraying. I didn’t even flinch as I felt the cool of his wedding ring slip over my heated skin, his hand sliding under my shirt to skim over my side. I slid my hands down to Andy’s waist, steering him back toward the conference table. I never let my lips separate from his, not wanting him to get the wrong impression. He went easily, taking steady steps back until his thighs hit the table. He settled against it then, spreading his legs and wrapping his arms around me to draw me closer. I leaned away from Andy for a moment, taking in the pink tinge that had bloomed on the apples of his cheeks, the pupils blown wide with want, his bruised lips and mussed hair. Pride rolled through me. I had done that.  I dipped my head, sucking Andy’s plump lower lip between my lips. I traced my tongue over it before tugging at it with my teeth. Andy moaned, and I grinned as I let go of his lip, dipping my tongue into his mouth. I reached down, working my fingers under the hem of his shirt. I broke our kiss again only to tug it up and off, dropping it onto the conference table beside us. Before I could lean in for another kiss, Andy worked at tugging my shirt off as well, mumbling, “Wanna see you, too, sweetheart.” I obliged him, letting my shirt follow suit and leaning into his chest before he could really take me in. The displeased hum he began to make gave way to a stuttered groan as I kissed and sucked warm, wet kisses down his chest. His fingers wound into my hair, taking hold and giving gentle, encouraging tugs. I was careful not to let my teeth dig in too deep, or to linger on any one spot for too long. My hands settled on the buckle of his belt, making short work of it. Andy made a questioning sound above me, and I squeezed him through his jeans. He let out a shaky laugh, a mumbled, “Ah.” “What’d you think I was going to do down there?” I asked as I straightened up, “Ask where you got these jeans?” “They are my favorite pair,” Andy informed me as I undid the fastenings. “And you wore them just for me?” I teased as I dipped my hand under the waistband of his underwear. Andy chuckled, tugging the cups of my bra down before he bent his head, tonguing at one of my nipples. He lapped at it delicately before taking it into his mouth. I moaned softly at the feeling, arching up into the heat. I shivered as he leaned away, blowing cool air over the wetted skin. He turned his head, mouthing over the side of my other breast before teasing the nipple. I couldn’t help my wriggling in place, squeezing my thighs together as I thumbed the head of his cock. He groaned into my skin before he leaned away to watch me. I made a move to kneel down, but he stopped me, hand steadying on my hip. “Not here,” He said softly. For the first time since we started this, fear shot through me. It must’ve shown in my face, because Andy quickly added, “The floor’s gonna be too hard on your knees, angel, I don’t want them to hurt.” I pouted, leaning in and kissing Andy warmly as I pulled his cock out. “But I wanna get my mouth on you,” I murmured, palming the shaft, “Please?” I added in the sweetest whine I could muster. Andy barely managed to stifle a desperate sound in his throat, yielding and nodding. He watched me sink to my knees, fingers still wound in my hair as I took my place on my knees. As badly as I wanted to savor the moment, I was also acutely aware of the fact that I was in my office, in a conference room with a door that didn’t lock. I cursed myself for not bringing him back to my apartment, and felt a thrill as the dangerous thought of, ‘Next time’, crossed my mind. I leaned in, teasing the head with the tip of my tongue, repeating the tender touches Andy had treated me to moments before. I peered up at him from under my lashes, relishing in the sight of him watching me through hooded lids. I bobbed my head slowly, taking a little more of him into my mouth each time, swiping my tongue around the head and along the glans on every third pass. Now and again he’d tighten his hold on my hair, apply a little more pressure, and I’d let him steer me where he wanted before I’d lightly scrape my teeth over him - a warning, a reminder of who was in charge right now. I brought my hand up from where I’d steadied myself against his thighs, gripping the shaft as I lapped at the head like a lollipop. Andy hissed. “If you keep that up, it’s gonna be over, angel,” he warned. I leaned away, raising a brow. “Did you have other plans?” I asked. Andy’s lusty satisfaction melted to a grin as he reached down, gripping me by my arms and pulling me up. “Of course I have other plans,” he chuckled, leaning in and sweeping his tongue into my mouth. I sighed, leaning against him as his arms wound around me. “Were you...Going to clue me in... At any point?” I mumbled between kisses. Andy hummed thoughtfully. “'m cluing you in now,” He pointed out. I grinned as his hands drifted over my ass, giving it a squeeze.
“What are these other plans, then?” I pressed. I couldn’t help the squeak that I let out as Andy swatted my ass. “So impatient,” He grumbled. He gave my ass another squeeze before he brought one hand around, slipping under the band of my leggings. He tutted when he felt my thighs clenched together. “Open up for me, angel,” he urged. I obliged, relaxing a bit and shuddering as his fingers prodded me through my underwear. I whimpered, pressing my face into his neck as he tapped his fingers over my cloth-covered clit. “Andy,” I mumbled. He hummed, applying a little more pressure. “I want you to fuck me,” I spoke against his skin, chasing the words with desperate little kisses.  “Not here,” Andy shook his head. I fought the urge to bite down in retaliation -- I could only be so stupid about this. “Why.” Andy’s touches became more insistent then, slipping his fingers under the band of my panties and rubbing tight, fast circles over my clit. Andy turned his head, murmuring into my ear, “Because when we do this for the first time, I’m going to do it right. It’s not going to be a quick fuck in a conference room, sweetheart. I’m going to take my time with you.” I closed my eyes, lips parting to pant stupidly against his skin. “You want that, don’t you? Want me to take care of you?” He murmured, “Want me to take you apart? You’re barely gonna remember your own fuckin’ name sweetheart, just mine.” “Andy--” I gasped. I reached down, gripping his cock where it was still resting hard against his thigh. He let out a growl, latching onto my neck and biting down. I let out a shocked shout, unable to help it, but it didn’t stop either of us. I didn’t give a damn if Nora walked in at this point and fucking fired me. Andy and I kept working one another, egging the other on with our whines and moans. I spilled over the edge first, managing to muffle my desperate cry against his shoulder. Andy followed a moment later, his release spilling over my fist and onto his abs as he mouthed over the hot, wet mark he’d made. Neither of us moved for a moment. Andy was the first to extract himself, gently moving his hand. He gave my pussy a pat before pulling his hand from my underwear. I shivered, the both of us looking down at his glistening fingers. My stomach jumped as I loosed my grip on his softening cock. What the hell did we just do? I turned away him to grab a few tissues from the corner. I cleaned my hand first, then pulled up the cups of my bra. I grabbed a couple of tissues to give to Andy. I turned back to pass them to him and froze at the sight of him sucking on the fingers he’d been teasing me with. I blinked at him, stunned, and he shot me a look of indignant amusement. “You literally had my dick in your mouth,” He pointed out. “I... Yeah. Valid.” I held the tissues out to him regardless. He took them, cleaning himself up before tucking himself away. I reached out, grabbing my shirt from his and pulling it on. I suddenly felt a bit cold, and kinda sleepy, and I vaguely remembered that this fucking fiasco had started with my plan to go and get lunch. My blood sugar was probably through the floor. Andy didn’t hurry to put his shirt on, tossing the tissues into the nearby trashcan before he reached out, bringing me back into his chest. I felt a pleased smile bloom on my face. I had been expecting him to retreat, and quickly. I rested my hands on his shoulders, eyes settled on his chest. “You goin’ all shy on me two minutes after you were writhing on my fingers?” He teased. “It’s been three minutes,” I retorted, and he laughed, leaning up and mouthing over the hollow of my throat. I closed my eyes, tipping my chin up to give him more room. “Andy?” I murmured. He hummed. “Did you mean it?” I asked. “Mean what, angel?” I swallowed thickly. “About, you know,” I mumbled. He chuckled, reveling in my bashfulness. “Not sure I do, beautiful,” He shook his head slowly, stubble scraping harshly over the mark he’d made on me, and I tightened my grip on his shoulders. “About... Taking your time with me,” I explained. Andy turned his head, pressing a tender kiss over the abused skin before he leaned back to meet my eyes. “Every fucking word.” Tag list: @fanficadddddict69 ; @nina-sj; @rosalynshields ; @what-is-your-wish

Rules: List the first lines of your last 20 stories (if you have less than 20, just list them all). See if there are any patterns. Choose your favorite opening line, then tag 10 of your favorite authors!
Not tagging anyone, do if you wish! Was tagged by @badass-at-fandoming
Doing first paragraphs here, not just lines.
1. we woke up one morning (and fell a little further down) (VtM, Sascha-centric, oh we’re off to a cheerful start already!)
Sascha decides to die in Brașov.
2. we were cold and we were clear (VtM, Sascha/Beckett, Sascha/Ilias)
From: eu.insumi @ schreckNET.nod To: beckett @ schreckNET.nod Subject: Shepherds
Beckett,
Do you believe in coincidences? It seems we have just missed each other in Poland, seeking out the Shepherds! It so happens that I was able to uncover just what happened to them - namely, a certain friend of Boney M's.
3. wear it now like a mantle (always there to remind you) (VtM, Sascha/Beckett)
He finds Vykos on the eastern side balcony of Prospero's villa, propped up against the wall, gazing out at the darkened forest. There's the kind of stirring of wildlife that suggests the sunrise is imminent; if Beckett glances at the sky he can already see the telltale brightening from the approach of dawn.
4. Burn (VtM, Night Road Courier)
The blood is screaming in your veins.
5. Breaking Point (The Sims, Simstagram side story)
He looks so small in the hospital bed.
6. The Ninth Coffee House (Locked Tomb Trilogy, Harrow/Gideon)
She's walked into a mountain.
7. Phone Calls (The Sims, Simstagram side story)
 Britechester 13th July 2018, 11:38 PM
"Hey, babe!"
8. Reunion (The Sims, Simstagram side story)
Caleb isn't really expecting the fancy car.
9. Scenes from San Myshuno Pride 2018 (The Sims, Simstagram side story)
Saturday 30 June, 2018 Myshuno Meadows, San Myshuno
Excerpt from commencement speech by San Myshuno mayor, Maryam Asayli
"This Pride, now more than ever, we remember and recognise the pioneers that lead to this moment. For those no longer with us, we remember their fight and applaud their courage. We acknowledge the bigotries of the past and the future they gave us. We recognise the struggles and sacrifices, and we grieve those taken from us too soon.
For those here today, we welcome you and thank you for everything you've done, for every hard-fought right. We remember and acknowledge your struggles, and we hope you are able to celebrate today as your day, and our glorious rainbow community's day."
10. Connection (The Sims, Simstagram side story)
Caleb answers the phone so quickly Lilith barely hears the dial tone.
11. Plan (The Sims, Simstagram side story)
A cloudy Thursday night. It's been nine days since Dahlia Vatore had told her children they were going to be older siblings, seven days since Caleb had broken down in Lilith's arms.
12. Return (The Sims, Simstagram side story)
The manor stuck out like a sore thumb.
13. Visitor (The Sims, Simstagram side story)
A Sage stands at the front door.
14. Rush (The Sims, Simstagram side story)
He's staring at his hands, at the way they tremble, dangle limply from his wrists. The black nail polish is chipping; he's been picking at them, trying to unravel his ragged edges.
15. Controlled Descent (Subnautica)
It's raining.
16. Exhale (Subnautica, Ryley/Bart)
Ryley Robinson is not having a very good day.
17. Tipping Point (or, how to panic your way into sapience) (Detroit: Become Human)
Task: enter archives. Task: find Jericho.
18. Memory of Younger Days (Zelda - Breath of the Wild, Zelda/Link/Sidon)
"Open your eyes."
19. Night Cafe (Pokemon, Sycamore/Meyer)
There's a superhero at table three.
20. Become Small Again (Pokemon, Alan-centric)
So they manage to save the world.
-
Observations: lots of short, single sentences as the first paragraph. I feel that works best with my writing style? I want people to immediately take notice. Sometimes that includes directions or dialogue. A lot of the time it includes understatement (lmao the Exhale one). Love epistolary / media formatting - we have an email, a phone transcript, a speech excerpt, and a directive.
Favourite... I like Sascha’s email in Cold/Clear, with the Boney M reference and the meaning behind their email username. And yeah, Exhale, I think, just for how much of an understatement it is.

impression//expression
"It’s not like Kirishima had come all this way to U.A. to immediately break the promise he made to himself upon arrival.
It’s just that Bakugou is as feral as they come, and the moment Kirishima recognizes it’s fear he felt crawling up his spine that day, he makes it his personal mission to face it head-on until it’s gone."
(Or: Being friends with Bakugou Katsuki is anything but a linear experience. Kirishima Eijirou would have it no other way.)
Tags: Kirishima POV, Developing Friendships, Protective Kiri, Soft Baku, Chatting
Chapter 1. No additional content warnings apply. Chapter 3. Chapter 4. Chapter 5. Chapter 6. Chapter 7. Chapter 8. Chapter 9.
***
The routine goes as follows:
Bakugou waits for Kirishima at the front door, arms crossed and a varying degree of pissed off depending how late he's running. Kirishima complains about the train being postponed or too full or delayed in some way – which is true, damn it, it’s like the universe has doomed his train line and none other in all of Japan to be the statistical outlier in an otherwise spotless record of punctuality – and begs for forgiveness, usually by bribing Bakugou with some post-workout coffee.
It works surprisingly well. A month into this and Kirishima is about ready to join one of those conspiracy theory servers Kaminari is so fond of because Bakugou is actually pretty lenient, death threats and crackling palms aside.
(That being said, Kirishima enjoys life and living and chasing after his dreams, so he will never breathe a word about that particular observation to anyone, least of all Bakugou himself.)
They usually got the gym to themselves, the employees on the early shift always looking vaguely relieved that at least someone is making use of their opening hours. Kirishima’s never been a regular anywhere aside from perhaps the manga store a few blocks from his home, so it feels a bit special to have this implicit claim to the training area made for heat-based quirks every Saturday morning.
Bakugou snorted when Kirishima told him that, muttering what sounded like fucking nerd under his breath.
The rest is pretty straight-forward. Kirishima’s been on a daily workout schedule for a good year by this point, and it’s clear Bakugou is used to it too. They stretch, do some warm-ups (in Bakugou’s case, quite literally) and off they go.
The thing is: It’s fun. Like, really, really fun. Really loud, too, especially when Bakugou’s got his sweat on and comes at him point-blank and flashy like fireworks personified. By the first session, Kirishima already realized it’s a lost cause trying to talk during training because all Bakugou replies with is an exasperated “Hah?!” no matter what he says.
It’s not like Kirishima could’ve heard himself speak anyways, his ears always left ringing something fierce from all the close-quarter explosions. Bakugou is a stranger to the concept of holding back or taking things by half measures, that much hasn’t changed.
Elsewhere, it might’ve taken a while for Kirishima to push his quirk to the point where his skin breaks out in cracks and ridges, his arms and shoulders and hair turning unyielding and clear-cut like miniature mountains. Not here, though: Not when the choices are to put his best foot forward with every move, or have Bakugou tear his throat out for daring to waste his time. There’s something so freeing about letting loose like that – a thrill that sends Kirishima’s heart on a war path and his pulse soaring until all that’s left are his instincts and quick reflexes.
Like this, every time he gets a hit in or a blast manages to leave a mark on his body, Bakugou grins and Kirishima grins back. Like this, the bruises and lost hours of sleep pale in comparison to just how bright Bakugou’s eyes can shine.
*
Kirishima brushes off the last traces of carbon dust off his arms to start massaging the sore muscles there. With U.A.’s Sports Festival a mere handful of days away, both of them kept going until their quirks started to sputter.
A strange comfort, to sit in mutual exhaustion like this. It’s not even noon but Kirishima could totally go for a nap, right there on the black, fire-proof tiles. Leaning back on his hands, he hums and asks:
“So. What’s the deal with Midoriya?”
A few feet from him, Bakugou pauses in rolling his shoulders. The black tank top he’s wearing is positively plastered to his body with sweat, his track pants saved from the same fate by how bulky they are.
“What?”
Too late, it occurs to Kirishima to feel nervous. The sensation is dim against the warmth still clinging to his skin though, that minute ache that comes with becoming stone for too long. “Being around him pisses you off. What’s up with that?”
Bakugou stares at him. His expression is hard to read, firmly within the realm of his default frown. “The fuck, Shitty Hair. What’s it to you?”
Uh oh. Kirishima sits up, mostly to raise his hands in a placating gesture, palm-up. “Just curious, bro. Honest. Been wondering for a while so I thought I’d ask, y’know?”
As bold as Kirishima aims to be, lying Bakugou in the face when his gaze is sharp enough to cut a bitch would be a monumentally stupid move. Bakugou seems to come to the same conclusion, even if his scoff is plenty aggressive.
“None of your fucking business, that’s what’s up with it. Fucking… Deku, bah.”
To say the silence that follows is loaded is the understatement of the century. Kirishima chews on his tongue, about a thousand questions balancing on its tip; it’s like the Midoriya he sees is the polar opposite of the one Bakugou blows a fuse over on a regular basis, and the why behind it is kind of starting to haunt him. (It doesn’t help that everyone in 1-A treats him as some sort of expert in all things Bakugou instead of interacting with the guy directly.)
One glance at Bakugou and he swallows it all down. Only now, with any and all traces of it gone, does Kirishima realize how calm he had looked. “…Coffee?”
Bakugou picks himself off the ground and leaves without another word.

‘cause right now you're mine
set in this verse
THURSDAY, APRIL 2nd
Dean 12:01 You didn’t tell me you led Carver Prep’s quiz bowl team???
Castiel 12:15 It’s in the middle of the school day and you’re texting. What kind of example are you setting for your students?
Castiel 12:16 I didn’t tell you because it wasn’t relevant.
Dean 12:17 Haha smartass I’m having lunch in my office Youre texting me back so i see right through you And of course it’s freaking relevant
Castiel 12:20 How?
Dean 12:21 Because I got tapped to coach Edlund High's quiz bowl team this morning!
Castiel 12:21 Oh no.
Dean 12:30 Oh no is right buddy
Castiel 12:37 I thought you coached the softball team.
Dean 12:37 I can do both You’re dating a very talented man
Castiel 12:49 I know that. I just didn’t know it extended to quiz bowls and softball in addition to blow jobs and breaking and entering places to give blow jobs.
Dean 12:52 What the fuck is wrong with you I’m in school! My lunch hour is almost over I’ll have to get up from my desk very soon This is all your fault
Castiel 12:59 :)
Dean 1:00 Just for that No blow jobs for you tonight
Castiel 1:07 :(
 MONDAY, APRIL 6th
Dean 11:55 I bet I can grade more midterms than you today
Castiel 11:58 I know better than to make bets with you, Dean Winchester.
Dean 12:03 It was just a kiss I bet you’re just pissed you lost
Castiel 12:04 I can’t engage in PDA in front of my niece and one of my students at a school event!
Dean 12:04 Youre such a prude
Castiel 12:06 Unlike some teachers, I maintain boundaries between my personal and professional life.
Dean 12:07 Prude.
Castiel 12:09 Did you text me on a Monday afternoon just to harass me about my reluctance to kiss my boyfriend in front of minors?
Dean 12:11 Huh Boyfriend
Castiel 12:20 Dean?
Dean 12:21 What?
Castiel 12:22 Is everything okay?
Dean 12:23 Other than *my boyfriend* refusing to even entertain the idea of a friendly wager?
Castiel 12:23 Yes, other than that.
Dean 12:23 No
Castiel 12:25 That’s good. You scared me for a second.
Dean 12:26 I did?
Castiel 12:26 Are you okay with being my boyfriend? The long gap between our messages made me realize we haven’t talked about it before.
Dean 12:27 I mean it’s a little weird My 16 year old students have boyfriends “boyfriend” seems a little I don’t know Juvenile We’re not 16 anymore, Cas Thank god.
Castiel 12:30 Would you prefer “partner”?
Castiel 12:31 It’s just whenever I hear someone call their significant other “partner” I can never tell if they are talking about their life partner, same-sex partner, police partner, or if they are cowboys. That was a joke! Ignore this. I remember how much you like Westerns. “Partners” is off the table.
Dean 12:31 HOWDY YALL THIS IS MY PARTNER CAS
Castiel 12:31 Please never introduce me to someone like this.
Dean 12:32 Only if you watch Tombstone with me tonight
Castiel 12:33 Can I still grade my midterms?
Dean 12:35 You’re killing me here Cas Yes
Castiel 12:40 I’m your huckleberry
 SUNDAY, APRIL 12th
Castiel 2:19 Good luck with the softball game today!
Dean 2:21 You’d better make it up for me for missing this one Its the semifinals
Castiel 2:22 I will. Say “hi” to Claire for me.
Dean 2:27 What the hell? Why is she here? We’re not even playing Carver
Castiel 2:29 She has a crush on Kaia Nieves
Dean 2:30 Ohhhhh That explains a lot
Castiel 2:30 She thinks she’s being subtle.
Dean 2:37 I see that runs in the family Subtle as a brick wall. All of you.
Castiel 2:38 Excuse me, you had no idea about my feelings for you back in high school.
Dean 2:49 So? Charlie said you were obvious as fuck But it didn’t matter since I was a dumbass
Castiel 2:50 I prefer oblivious Less dumb Less ass
Dean 2:57 How dare you My ass is a goddamn gift. You take that back right now
Castiel 2:59 Of course. Don’t you have a game to coach?
Dean 3:01 Shit you’re right
 TUESDAY, APRIL 14th
Castiel 11:18 I know how I can make up for missing that last softball game last weekend
Dean 12:01 Sorry The kids called me out for texting you 5 mins before the bell last time How the hell did i get stuck with a class full of narcs
Castiel 12:03 It’s probably karma For all the rule breaking you did in school
Dean 12:05 Hey I wasn’t that bad
Castiel 12:05 You frequently defaced school desks and returned library books after their due date.
Dean 12:06 I’m dating a narc too???
Castiel 12:07 You didn’t ask what I have planned.
Dean 12:07 OK i’ll bite What do you have planned babe? Please tell me it’s not another documentary on bees That was depressing The grand canyon one was cool though
Castiel 12:10 Speaking of narcs
Dean 12:10 This doesn’t sound good
Castiel 12:11 When I had to get my extra copy of Camus from my car, I stumbled on Miriam at the edge of the parking lot with a few more students. They were skipping class and smoking marijuana. Naturally, I reported them to the administration.
Dean 12:13 Not helping your not-a-narc case
Castiel 12:13 They received detention for skipping class.
Dean 12:13 And the drugs?
Castiel 12:13 I may have neglected to report the drug use.
Dean 12:14 Seriously?
Castiel 12:14 I still confiscated it. Research evidence shows marijuana has negative effects on the developing brain.
Dean 12:14 I guess that’s fair
Dean 12:15 Hang on Do you still have it? OUR brains are old as balls Seriously, are you telling me you have weed now?
Castiel 12:15 Surprise?  I can throw it out if you’d prefer to do something else tonight.
Dean 12:15 Dont you dare!!! I’m going to get a six pack on the way home, download the last Star Wars, and we’re gonna do this right Your place or mine?
Castiel 12:16 I have been neglecting laundry lately. Yours?
Dean 12:16 You’re on This is going to be so awesome
 WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15th
Dean 12:06 Did you really mean to invite me to dinner with your brother?
Castiel 12:09 I didn’t mean to bring it up when we were high, but the invitation still stands. Claire told him we were together. He wants to meet you.
Dean 12:11 Oh
Castiel 12:11 You do not have to say yes.
Dean 12:13 I’ll go It just took me by surprise
Castiel 12:13 I don’t want to pressure you.
Dean 12:14 Youre not pressuring me
Castiel 12:14 Are you sure?
Dean 12:16 Look, I just know your relationship with your brother is complicated And I don’t want to stick my foot in it By accident or some other way
Castiel 12:20 We’re in a better place than I’d like to admit. I spent a long time resenting Jimmy for the time he had with Father. But it wasn’t his fault Father was a bastard who had a second family he preferred to be with. Jimmy was barely in middle school when Father started going on his “business trips”
Dean 12:21 Jesus christ You told me bit about it back in high school But I didn’t realize it was a second family situation
Castiel 12:21 Mother kept it from us for years. I still haven’t forgiven her for it.
Dean 12:21 Are you OK?
Castiel 12:22 I’m fine. It was a long time ago.
Dean 12:22 That stuff takes a long time to get over.
Castiel 12:22 I suppose.
Dean 12:23 Is it okay if you stay at mine tonight?
Castiel 12:24 Our next date isn’t until Friday
Dean 12:24 I don’t want to wait until Friday to see you
Castiel 12:27 Can you pick me up at Carver at 4pm?
Dean 12:27 You got it More time with you and my baby Win-win!
 FRIDAY, APRIL 24th
Dean 11:51 Are you sure what I usually wear to school is OK?
Castiel 11:53 You texted me nine minutes early?
Dean 11:53 Shut up I had to bribe my kids For NINE extra minutes Friggin tyrants
Castiel 11:54 What did they extort from you?
Dean 11:54 I promised to throw out their lowest pop quiz grade
Castiel 11:54 That isn’t too bad.
Dean 11:54 I was already planning on doing it
Castiel 11:55 Clever of you.
Dean 11:56 You’re not just dating a pretty face But getting back to dinner with your brother Is a regular button up OK? The tie hides most of the sloppy joe stain
Castiel 11:56 I’m sure you look very handsome
Dean 11:57 I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or not
Castiel 11:57 I rarely manage sarcasm in-person. What makes you think I would attempt it over text?
Dean 11:58 Good point
Castiel 11:58 You’re a very good-looking man, Dean. I’ve known this since we were 15.
Dean 11:59 Stop it you’re making me blush
Castiel 12:01 It’s the truth.
Dean 12:04 Alright, alright I’m already sleeping with you No need to butter me up
Dean 12:05 It’s just I remember how you used to talk about him The perfect big brother
Castiel 12:07 More like the perfect student and perfect son. Jimmy was honestly too busy to be much of a brother. The 11 year age difference didn’t help. When I was in high school, he already had the perfect nuclear family on the way.
Dean 12:07 Exactly
Castiel 12:08 Exactly what?
Dean 12:08 You’re lucky I know you And I know you’re not drawing this out on purpose Look, i want to make a good impression, OK? he seems like a hard guy to please.
Castiel 12:09 I That’s very admirable of you, but it’s entirely unnecessary.
Dean 12:10 He’s your family
Castiel 12:11 And I understand family is very important to you, but it isn’t the same with me. It would be very nice if dinner goes well, but if it does not, I will not care in the slightest.
Dean 12:11 Really?
Castiel 12:11 Truly.
 SATURDAY, APRIL 25th
11:16 I’m sorry for my dad.
Dean 11:17 Who is this?
11:20 Claire Novak
Dean 11:21 How did you get this number?
Claire 11:23 Alex Jones
Dean 11:24 How did Alex get my number???
Claire 11:24 It was on the softball permission forms How did you not know this Didn’t you draft them?
Dean 11:25 It’s been a while I’m a very busy man
Claire 11:25 Sure. Anyway, my dad was a dick.  Totally out of line last night
Dean 11:26 Shouldn’t you be texting Cas about this?
Claire 11:26 I don’t have his number
Dean 11:26 Cas wasn’t kidding when he said you guys weren’t close
Claire 11:27 Nope.
Dean 11:27 Well I am very close with my brother He’s a lawyer out in California
Claire 11:27 Good for you???
Dean 11:29 It doesn’t sit right with me that Cas doesn't have a real relationship with his family
Claire 11:31 That seems like Uncle Castiels business
Dean 11:33 But Jimmy isn’t Cas’s only family SO if you ever need a place to crash, i’m always available
Claire 11:35 Maybe my dad was right And you’re secretly a perv I’m not staying with you you freak
Dean 11:35 Jesus christ, I’m trying to say, if ALEX isn’t the only girl on Edlund's softball team you’re getting buddy-buddy with, it’s fine You should get a chance to explore that part of being a teenager While STAYING SAFE But don’t let your parents stand in the way of that side of your life
Claire 11:41 Dad wouldn’t kick me out
Dean 11:42 Maybe not. But if you are at all uncomfortable, just give cas a call I’ll forward you his contact info now
“I might have told Claire she’s always welcome at my place if she comes out to her parents,” Dean says as he pockets his phone. He turns his back on the pile of sparkling clean dishes drying on the rack by Cas's sink. Dean adds, “Hopefully she’ll ask you before she goes to me.”
They hadn't really discussed the disaster of a dinner with Jimmy and Claire. A few tense words on the drive back to Cas's house, a tacit acknowledgement in the morning not to mention it until after coffee and breakfast. But then Cas brought out his homework for the weekend, even while last night's argument scratches at the back of his mind like a fly trapped in a windowless room. So Dean did the dishes and texted Claire.
Cas looks up from his juniors’ final exams. “You were talking to Claire?”
“She texted me first,” Dean says defensively.
Cas sighs and caps his pen. It’s blue, because red pen, according to Cas, is too traumatizing a grading implement. “I’m very sorry about last night.”
Dean waves his apology off. “You warned me it could go sideways.”
Cas’s brow furrows. “Still,” he says slowly, “I told my mother and Jimmy I was gay a few years ago. I think it was easy for them to ignore it as long as I didn’t have a boyfriend in the picture.”
Dean fiddles with a dishrag as he hovers by the sink. “Was Jimmy a jackass to your other boyfriends?”
“What others?” Cas asks wryly. “None of them were ever serious enough to pique Jimmy’s interest.”
“Really?”
Cas nods and gestures for Dean to take a seat at the kitchen table next to him. He holds out his hand, which Dean takes, bemused. “I don’t know why Jimmy thought religion was an appropriate introductory dinner topic. I could tell he was trying to genuinely understand our… lifestyle, to use his word, but-”
“I got angry,” Dean says looking down at their clasped hands.
“You didn’t say anything I wasn't thinking,” Cas says simply. “I’m glad you reached out to Claire.”
“It seems like she needed it.”
“She doesn’t have a lot of adults in her life she can rely on to be in her corner,” Cas says diplomatically. “I’ve tried, over the years, but I can’t relate to her at all.”
Dean laughs. “Of course not. Teenage rebellion wasn’t really your style.”
“Ah yes, of course,” Cas says, his voice dry as chalk, “you’d be the perfect person to talk to her. The cool kids speak their own language. How could I forget?”
Dean smirks. “It’s full of references you don’t get.”
“Don’t remind me,” Cas says darkly.
Dean leans in for a kiss. Eyes dancing, as he whispers, “Relax, babe. You were always the coolest kid in school to me."

Diary of high school meme
this is a joke NSFW 18+
Part 1
My bro walks up to me and is like Benny how you feeling? I say I feel great, even though that’s not my name that’s not my name. Then we both hit the woah at the same exact time.
Then his VSCO girlfriend says an I opp sksksksk. Then she says WHO EVER JUST SENT YOU THIS JUST DUMPED YOUR ASS!
Then my guy turns to her and says respect the drip Karen!
Then I say no matter what, he will always come back to me.
Then my bro and I hug no homo though. Then we walk away to the song Rockstar by: Smashmouth, while doing the floss aggressively.
Then we go and play Minecraft together while drinking Bang and eating Doritos till one in the morning.
But then my bros mother Linda sent me home. ☹

Part 2
Linda is such a bitch “B-I-C-T-H in that order!” she always makes me leave A-arons house at one thirty in the morning.
Later that week A-aron and I took a seat in class. Then our teacher kept talking about China and how more then half our exports come from there.
Then A-aron went outside to vape. Karen then comes over and says give me your Juul. Then I say no Karen that Juul coast me sixty dollars. I had to get a senior to pay for it. I only work at Chilis so it took three paychecks to buy.
That night I worked and everyone at once said “Welcome to Chilis!” I just ignored them and kept walking as I usually do.
I go home then check my Reddit and Twitter fifty times to make sure I am still verified.

Part 3
The next day comes and I pick up A-aron up in my sick 2001 Toyota Camry it is beige of course only the sickest color.
We then get Karen and you won’t believe what she did… she yeeted my vape out the window! What the fork Karen! That took three paychecks from Chilis to buy.
Karen then says she hates that place and last time she ate there, they messed up he order. So she complained to the manager.
Damn Karen, I don’t need her anyway I will always have my bro A-aron. Our nights together watching Shrek 3 and Cars 2… Best movies ever! And of course, listening to our lord and savior Daft Punk on full volume.

Part 4
A bunch of kids are doing a fundraiser for Harambe and I am all for it of course “save the whales.”
And that’s why I only use Twizzlers to drink my RedBull. I don’t always drink RedBull but when I do I use a Twizzler as a straw then eat it.
Later I texted A-aron on my Nokia phone I sent him exactly 69 memes at exactly 4:20 as it is totally lit to do so every day. I said we should totally get back at Karen for throwing my Juul. He disagreed with me, then I told him to stop being such a girl. Then he says don’t assume my gender and I said look man I had no idea. Then he said you just did it again. I give up!
Then I smoked the devils cabbage and went to sleep #Blazeit

Part 5
A-aron and I made up he bought me a new Juul and said that our friendship is never ogre. So then I said #Fam! Then he and I did our secret handshake which consists a dab the woah and five different Fortnite dances.
Today I started dating Kim Vardashian she is a #skinnylegend who is also thicc with two c’s. I can’t wait till we can aggressively hug! But she is embarrassed of our love because I am a freshman and she is a senior.
I think today is the day I try out for the school play we are putting on the production Mulan 3. I want to play the part of Simba.
That night for dinner A-aron and I got Subway #I’m lovin’ it, it was mmm… mmm… mmm… finger licking good. Then we bought two cotton candy Juul cartridges from Kim and vaped all night.

Part 6
My Nokia phone stopped working so I went to the closest Radio Shack and got a brand-new Blackberry with a slide out key pad. It was very dope!
Since it was Saturday I went home and hardcore gamed on my Tamagotchi. It died ☹… it was sad until a new one came, and I bought all the snacks for it!
Kim is such a slut she broke up with me and told me she was only dating me because I have a job and gave her money to buy stuff from Gucci. Then she told me 20$ a week was not cutting it. Then I told her that’s all I make in a week. Now I also work for Walmart to make more money. But I guess it still was not enough for her. Damn Kim at least I have A-aron

Part 7
A-aron and Kim got together I tried telling him that she was a bitch. But the #thirstisreal for him like he is the Sahara Desert when it comes to women. He really doesn’t care but I will be there if his heart gets broken.
Today is also my cousins 18th birthday and he is getting a tattoo. Its going to be a 95 the 9 is going to be a butterfly and the 5 is going to be a bee, and under it will say float like a butterfly sting like a bee Kachow -Lightning McQueen
He is actually going to get two tattoos the other one is going to be a glass of milk, swiss cheese, yogurt and under that one its going to say #legen-dairy #veganforlife. He is also getting Gingy from Shrek slippers

Part 8
Karen got hit with a tour bus!!! We rushed her to the hospital and to the psych ward cuz she cray cray.
Its been a month since A-aron and Kim got together I am very surprised. We all visited Karen today and then Kim said they were expecting. Then Karen said boom pregnant.
Apparently, the baby is going to be a reincarnation of Donald Trump and the baby is going to be huodge. But this is all according to Karen. But it seems legit, so I believe it.
I’ve been taking care of Karen’s dog Lo-Maine. He wares a Supreme hoodie and a Rolly on his wrist and even has Jorden’s and I must dress him every day #1stworldprobs.

Part 9
Karen got released today from the hospital and to celebrate she stole her moms ID and went to Iowa to celebrate. She then sent me a video of herself, “Hi my name I Kendall and I am here in Cedar Rapids once again asking for your support.” Your support for what I thought but then I saw it Kendall Landers-Linton 2020 president, Kendall must be her mom’s name.
Kim is now 5 months prego and still hanging on strong and everyone helps her with stupid shit like the teachers tell her she can have extensions on all her assignments. So unfair I get an erection every hour and I don’t get extensions on anything except my dick.
Who would vote for Karen I mean she looks like a 40-year-old woman, but she’s crazy to think that they won’t figure out that she’s just 20 and a senior in high school.
That day was crazy, so I went on my computer and watched my extra special anime movie if you know what I mean 😉. Jerked the turkey for 30 minutes and felt way more relaxed after my little session thank god for Japanese henti.

Part 10
Today we watched the Sanic the hedgehog movie it was the best movie ever in the movie Shrek and Sanic have a relationship. They end up getting married and having aggressive sex while listening to all of Smash mouths songs. Then they had hedgehog ogre hybrid babies they were so ugly that they were cute.
I later sat in class with A-aron he said that after watching that Sanic movie that he wasn’t sure if he was ready to be a father. Because Shrek and Sanic made for a really good couple and were good at raising their kids. I told him not to worry and that if he watched all the Shrek movies and played all the Sanic games that he had already learned all he needs to about fatherhood. He felt relieved after I said all that, he said it was good that he did all the necessary research we then dabbed and then the bell rang.
Kim went into labor at lunch it was really disgusting, but interesting because all these people came, and our school nurse Joe Biden delivered the baby. Kim decided to name her son Boe Jiden after Joe Biden’s name, the school nurse was in tears until he saw another baby coming out. It’s a girl!!!! Kim named that kid Karen Jr. after her best friend. It was amazing then I told A-aron that his sperm must be made of steel since he had two kids, he then punched me in the arm no homo though.
Part 11
All of the sudden another baby just shoulder dropped itself out of Kim. It was a boy!!! "I will name this one Jim Cenass" (all of the sudden from the corner you here horribly played kazoo it plays the John Cena fan fair) do do do do... it's that new transfer student Korona Tortilla Vanbargen Sale Pool Noodle the 4th KTVSPN4 for short. Jim Cenass starts waving his hand in front of his face as of to say you cant see me then he just goes ham on our school nurse Joe Biden. The principal Jeb Bush had to break up the fight. Then Jim started fighting Boe and Karen jr. It was something else.
Our new transfer student KTVSPN4 is very strange she kinda keeps to herself but at least she made friends with Kim and Karen. She's from China and is such a cry baby she keeps complaining that her sister died of this weird disease. But other then that been helping A-Aron with his three babies Jim is a handful and we have to keep him away from the others but it's kinda hard now because they have already started calling and Jim can walk.
Part 12
Today I was just sitting in Chillery Hiltons history class when all of the sudden I heard loud noises coming from above me. Then Boe and Joe just shoulder dropped onto the teacher it was very strange. Thankfully Chillery is going to be ok!
Later that day Kim's babies are getting baptized by our local priest Dr. Phil. Jim was not having it and started going ham on Dr. Phil. Dr. Phil then say y'all need Jebus in your life. Phil then #getsrektmydude. And Bylieye Eyelash starts playing her song I'm the Evil Man which was perfect for the occasion.
We all had an assembly today our principal Jeb said it was to recognize great teachers in our school. "Best dance teacher Shreckira" Shreckira goes up and can not hold herself together it was major aco taco.
"Lane Jinch for best gym teacher" Lane goes up and says "I know I'm the best." "Sernie Banders best public speaking teacher" Sernie goes up and gives a 50 page long speech how he doesn't deserve this. "Steve Harvey for best health teacher and guidance counselor" Steve then goes up and starts talking about how important college is and the birds and the bees. And last but not least "Beyonce for best music teacher" Beyonce comes up and starts singing my Heart will go on by Celine Dion. Jeb then says please clap!
Part 13
Today Karen got Lo majne trained to be a service dog naturally every one at school wanted to pet lo majne. Karen was like "I'm working bitch" so we all backed off because Karen is crazy!
Today I went to the super market and you know your boy broke yo. So I tried to take some stuff you know and you will never believe what they did. They tried to arrest my ass I dont deserve this I'm broke and now they want me to go to court. Like type 2 diabetes ain't no body got time for that. My lawyer says they will fight for me they dont have a gender and they call themselves foxy Roxy. Hopefully foxy Roxy has my back and we win.
Hey I'm foxy Roxy I usually work at a drag strip club and men eat me up. Just when you thought your husband was straight oh no honey he ain't. I make about 10million pennies or should I say 10 million penis's every show and I live in a trailer with my sweet heart wide boy and I will win this

The Gateshead Engine
If you bought the itch.io game bundle for racial justice and inequality a month ago, one of the games it contains is a single-player ttrpg called The Gateshead Engine by Adam Roy (Follow the link to buy and play yourself!)
The basis of the game is simple: It is Victorian England, and you have been commissioned to built a steampunk mech. You flip cards from a tarot deck to give you situations for your diary entries, and you can finish...basically whenever you want.
I enjoyed it greatly, and wanted to publicly share my game. Content warning for a bit of body horror and minor surgical stuff at the end? It’s not like, explicit though. Anyway, I haven’t stretched my horror muscles in a while, and I love how this game started vs where it ended. Hope y’all enjoy!
Starting Questions:
—Who are you, and why did you agree to build the Engine?
I am Loreley Weisel, German thermodynamicist on the brink of bankruptcy. Europe is corrupt, and my will careens towards destruction.
—Who is your patron, and what, if anything, do you know about them? Why did they tell you they wanted the Engine?
My patron is an English aristocrat, Thomas Boroughshire III. All I know is that he has deep pockets and a fascination for thermophysics. He wants my Engine as a mechanical marvel, a party trick for a boy with too many years behind him.
—What is your community like? What do they value and what do they fear?
The community is wealthy. Large estates line a well-kept road. Dogs are bred. Horses are shoed. Foxes are hunted. Gardens beg for release from their clipped restraints. The air itself is made of brick. They value stability, power (or the projection of it), and greed.
—What will the Engine do when it’s completed, and what will it change? (This may shift during play; for now, decide what you think the answer is when you agree to build the Engine.)
My Engine is a herald of death. The aristocracy will be beaten into submission, and England will follow France in the march towards the guillotine.
My Engine:
Tumblr media
Diary:
Monday, April 26, 1880—
I do not belong here, in this kingdom, in this estate, in this…garage. Hope’s Paradise is far from the largest house in this community, and His Highness can barely provide enough space for me to work. He does not respect me, nor does his staff. Dinners will be cold on nights I work late. There will be no hot water when I go to draw a bath. They do not want me here.
Fitting enough; I do not wish to dwell here any longer than I have to.
The neighbors are no better. Squire Duncannon of Blah Blah Blah invites me to speak German whenever he harasses me with what he calls conversation, but refuses to use the tongue himself. His wife has never uttered a word beyond her scowl. When I pass by Covington Place, the children stop and watch, twittering among themselves. I wonder what the Duke and Duchess have told them about me. I would not know, for I have never been allowed inside their gates.
England will burn, and this wretched grove of greed will be the tinder.
Wednesday, April 28, 1880—
That godforsaken child has entered my workshop again. Grease smeared all across the floor. Handprints of coal dust cover every box and bench. Every fire hazard should come at the cost of a finger. The little brat will have nubs by week’s end.
Friday, April 30, 1880—
Saturday, May 1
A song. Melancholic, but strong. Thunderous, but ephemeral.
How many hours have slipped by tonight? Dream grips my mind like a starving urchin with hardtack. Maybe these gears and pipes are singing me a lullaby.
Oh for heaven’s sake it’s half two. To sleep with me.
Tuesday, May 4, 1880—
Fucking Third of Family horseshit-brained fool. Every thief with deep pockets thinks themselves a scientist just because they bought opium from one once. I know how to build my Engine. Fuck off with this talk about gas compression. My math is sound, and changing one element means redesigning the entire boiler system.
His Highness has been placated with some minor aesthetic downgrades that better cater to his asinine tastes. For now.
Wednesday, May 5, 1880—
Fucking Third of Family horseshit-brained fool. If it weren’t for the coal dust handprints, I’d think he was the child ransacking my workshop with relentless fervor. Instead, he has simply decided to rearrange my supplies to the garage entrance. My ankle will heal in a few days, but I cannot work on my Engine until it mends. Time is money, and he has more money than I have time.
Sunday, May 9, 1880—
The ankle works.
Monday, May 10, 1880—
His Highness invited his dearest, most important friends to dine in his atrociously cultivated garden. The Wells boy snuck off and found me in my workshop. I have never met another child like him. His curiosity is insatiable, and he knows more about thermodynamics than most learned men I’ve met.
He asked me a question I could not answer: “If this machine is meant for war, how can you fight a navy with it?”
I suppose this will be a larger problem when the revolution hatches from England and threatens the mainland. For now, I must keep focused on this single-minded task. If we make it that far, I will find an answer.
…Perhaps I am naïve and misguided.
Wednesday, May 12, 1880—
The entire community has decided to roll their porcine asses to the south of France for holiday. Such a shame I contracted a bit of a cough and elected to stay here to recover. The travel would have been much too hard on my delicate frame.
Two weeks of uninterrupted work begins tonight.
Friday, May 14, 1880—
For. Fuck’s. Sake.
Her Highness fainted at the pier moments before they were to board a ferry across the Channel. Feared she had come down with the same pestilence I had contracted. Now the entire extended Boroughshire rabble is returning posthaste.
The quiet? Gone. Their need for attention? Only I can sate it. My Engine? Still incomplete, and will be for some time.
If I drown myself in enough whiskey, the mystery of my death should keep their tiny minds occupied for at least a week.
I intend to refill my lamps and work as long as I can tonight. May their arrival home tomorrow wake me at noon for all I care.
Saturday, May 15, 1880—
I was awoken at nine in the morning. Forty minutes of unrestful rest.
Tuesday, May 17 18, 1880—
Knocked the fucking lamp looking for my pen. Lucky I didn’t burn this entire estate to ash.
…Perhaps unlucky.
He even haunts my dreams, touching my Engine and reducing it to rust at the moment that should have been my victory. What Hell of idiocy have I gotten myself into? Fucking aristocrats standing in the way of their own downfall by sheer incompetence. Back to sleep with me.
Tuesday, May 18, 1880 (again)—
I’ve read a number of fascinating papers that I received in the mail today. While I admit I know little of the burgeoning field of electrical engineering, the work being done in the States is fascinating. I intend to take a short trip into London to seek more research (And get a right stein of beer; this house and its occupants are worthless.)
Friday, May 21, 1880 (London)—
I have been granted access to ~~Royal~~ archives. Despite my distaste for locking knowledge away from the public, I am nonetheless grateful for this opportunity. All the kingdom’s brightest minds (what few there are) have recorded years of research on every possible thread of science.
Galvanic principles are fascinating to me. To think, all these thousands of years, we have had electricity inside us! Thoughts percolate, but I do not yet know to what end.
I shall return to the cursed Golden Land in the countryside tomorrow. Between my notes and a few papers, I have been allowed to abscond with, I am reinvigorated with hope for my work.
Saturday, May 22, 1880—
I should extricate and boil every last one of their tongues!
The entire community’s patriarchs were waiting in the living room of Hope’s Paradise (Clearly not my hope.)  Word got out of my project, and every cock-waggling primitive decided that this was a matter that required ending their holiday early. While their offspring splash in the Mediterranean, their sagging eyes are now fixed on that fucking garage.
I don’t know who is merely curious, who else feels inadequate enough to lie about their scientific credentials, or who wants to break my Engine merely because I’m a woman. Too many men in my workshop. Had I less restraint, an axe may have been all I needed to solve this annoyance.
Hopefully the dullards bore sooner than later. I may need to beat Mr. Duncannon with a German dictionary regardless.
Tuesday, June 8, 1880—
Between the constant need to shun nosy men from my workshop and the actual work itself, I have not had the constitution to keep my diary.
But today…ah, today! The control platform appears to be totally functional! I have toiled too long to have failure spring from my fingertips. Rotational velocities are stable, cranks and gears are greased and mobile, the Gatling guns are…gatling.
For the first time since I began my work here, I feel like I have accomplished something great. The aristocracy’s days are numbered.
Monday, June 14, 1880—
Work continues to sap my focus. Boiler…not cooperating. I fear I will lose all the work I’ve done on it due to some unforeseen flaw. A redesign at this stage would be costly, but so would continuing with a faulty boiler. Either way, I’m taking tomorrow off from work to clear my head.
Thursday, June 17, 1880—
Time off has proved productive. I finally finished reading the documents on loan from the ~~Royal~~ archives, and there is a fascinating bit of research by a man by the name of Frankenstein. His work on galvanic sciences from earlier this century are far beyond anything I’ve found from English archives in the last decade. This even only seems to be his initial work; perhaps I can track down his true masterpieces of intellect. Maybe I don’t even need to redesign a boiler…
One blight on my day over lunch: that coal-handed bastard child has returned. I think it’s Constance.
Wednesday, Jun 23, 1880—
The Andersons down the way lost one of their bitches last night. She was a beautiful hound, but her memory will live on in my diary. I wanted some hands-on experience with Frankenstein’s work, so I was able to procure the corpse for a small fee (to His Highness who is paying my bills).
Wondrous! Such are the things I learned. A body, made of muscle, controlled by electricity. I suspect I may need to seek out an anatomist or some other scholar of the biological sciences to continue this research.
My mind is alight with so many ideas…
Wednesday, June 30, 1880—
June ends and takes the boiler with it. My Engine shall have a grand new design. Thomas has been placated by promises of surprise. “The most groundbreaking work in thermodynamics!” I lied. His is a mind easily led astray by spectacle.
Sunday, July 4, 1880—
Constable came round today. Mr. Duncannon hasn’t been seen in three days. He left for an important business meeting in Paris, but missed his boat. Coach is missing too. It’s all very curious. I did everything I could to keep that sniveling pig out of my workshop. Given the way his nose recoiled into his skull, it seems the stench of grease and ozone was enough.
In more academic news, I received notice that more of Victor Frankenstein’s research papers are being released from an archive in Switzerland. I should have them by week’s end. My excitement radiates like the sun.
Friday, July 9, 1880—
Wolfgang. Heinrich. Fuchs.
At my forsaken door. With my forsaken research papers.
How the fuck did he find out I was working on galvanism? Who is he still connected to? Which one of my friends betrayed me (besides him)?
He was in this fucking house asking me fucking questions about my fucking work. Fuck him. He better not stick around. After what he took from me…fuck.
Tuesday, July 13, 1880—
Chaos reigns.
Wolfgang has shacked up with the Andersons. He swings by almost daily. When I’m not actually busy, I try to look it.
Constance has gotten her hands into the coal again (I haven’t disposed of it for appearance’s sake.)
The Duncannons are planning a funeral for…whatever his name was. I don’t think I ever bothered to remember anything about him other than when he would finally leave this hellish corner of England.
Thomas has been migrating in and out of Hope’s Paradise. Something about a trade deal in India. It sounds very important for a man who makes riches off the backs of foreigners.
I could use a big stein at a small biergarten.
Sunday, July 18, 1880—
Widow Duncannon speaks! Her first words spoken to me in the months I’ve resided her are accusations that I have something to do with the death of her husband and his driver. Utter nonsense. The police found the driver at the bottom of a pint in a pub last week. The way gossip echoes around these families, however, I won’t be surprised if they begin to turn on me.
My work must accelerate.
Thursday, July 22nd, 1880—
Widow Duncannon, Duchess Byron. Mrs. Boroughshire. All the Andersons. None of them will speak to me. They glare if they see me, so I try to keep to my room and my workshop as much as possible. I’m lucky Her Highness is so subservient to Thomas. This house would be unbearable if she had any willpower over it.
Tuesday, July 27, 1880—
Celebrations are in order! I have poured over work by Golgi, Frankenstein, and Schwann. Every guide I could find on electrical engineering. Trial after trial, failure after failure. And yet…
And yet.
It’s not that I have hope my Engine will work, it’s that I have knowledge that it will. My designs are so clear to me. My protypes are all working as planned. The path to revolution has been laid out before me. Now it is up to me to walk it.
Tomorrow is the beginning of the end.
Wednesday, July 28, 1880—
Coal hands. Inside my workshop. Inside. My. Workshop. And this time, ha! This time, I have a culprit.
I made it very clear to Constance that she will not be loitering in my laboratory anymore.
Saturday, August 7, 1880—
What have I become?
Why did I begin building my Engine? Something about a war? Who can say. Time marchers onward. My Engine will march with time. Every experiment has made it clearer to me that I have stumbled upon the greatest discovery of this era.
No one celebrates with me. Not Thomas. Not Her Highness. Not Constance, nor the boys, Timothy and Franklin. Even Wolfgang is silent (at last).
The neighbors have stopped visiting. I wave when I pass them by, but they just sneer and hurry past. Finally, I can work in peace and silence. Finally my genius can become reality. Finally all of Europe will know what Loreley Weisel is capable of.
I have become the herald of great change, a conduit of the very building blocks of existence.
Tuesday, August 10, 1880—
A toast to the Duke and Duchess! May their patronage live forever in my greatest work! Soon I hope to bring the Andersons into this project as well.
Wednesday, August 18, 1880—
The Engine lives! The support of this community has been invaluable as the final construction has occurred. Everyone has poured their hearts into my work, and it’s truly a masterpiece that could not have been built alone.
My galvanic calibrations have been finalized. My circuits have been tested. It is nearing time for me to put all of myself into my work. I will see success.
Saturday, August 21, 1880—
The loneliness is getting to me. Not even the dogs bark anymore. I talk to my Engine, but its flesh is silent.
Monday, August 23, 1880—
The constable returned. With six policemen. He had questions about His Highness and the Duke and Duchess and Widow Duncannon. I told him the truth: I could help him find them.
I cooperated.
I have a surplus.
Wednesday, August 25, 1880—
Why shouldn’t I? It worked for them. Shouldn’t it work for me? All the principles are the same. They’re muscle. I’m muscle. They’re electric. I’m electric. Why shouldn’t I be in control?
Thursday, August 26, 1880—
Wolfgang, that bastard! He said he knew everything that I had been up to. That is outrageous! He knows nothing!
I have destroyed my room in rage. Fucking Fuchs! What does he think he knows? Who has he told? I should have killed him. Why didn’t I kill him? He doesn’t deserve it. He doesn’t deserve my creation. He covets it. He wants it for himself. I know it. He got me kicked out of university, he got me run out of Germany. He is jealous. Jealous! He knows I’m better. He knows I’m smarter. He wants what I have, my Engine, my child. He can’t have it. He can’t. He won’t. Where did he go? Fucking Wolfgang I will fucking kill him. He knows nothing. He’s bluffing. He just wants my success. My genius. He is nothing. He will be nothing. Nothing. Nothing. He nothing. Nothing. nothing nothing nothing noth
Sunday, August 29, 1880—
This will be the final entry to my diary. The morning air is heavy with the musk of summer. It’s strange to me how calm I am given what I am about to do.
My Engine has come so far from its days as a sketch on a piece of parchment. Veins of red pulse behind the metal. Sinew, steel, and lightning working in harmony. Every stitch and every suture as perfect as the one before it. So many died for its creation, and so many more will die when I am finished today.
I expected my hand to shake more as I inked the incision lines across my skin. I expected my mind to be foggier as I tried to remember every nerve that would need work. Even the pain I am about to endure has not shaken my resolve.
I am uncertain what the scientific community will think of my work. Of the sacrifices I made. But I have proven a radical truth: All the money in the world does not stop one from being built from the same parts as another. And that’s all we are: Animals with organs and muscles and electricity surging through us. If machines can harness that energy, why can’t we? If new machines can be invented, why not new humans?
All I can hope for now is that my composure holds through the entire procedure. Once I am integrated into my Engine, I will command a mind and body unseen by man. Unparalleled by any of God’s creation. Magnificent in its genius. My genius.
Today I will change humanity forever.

[ goldfish ] t.k
afsghjkdls ive got some writing juice i gotta use before it expires shdjhskj everyone’s 18+ and in college and this isn’t proofread sorry if its long
You help clean the volleyball court as the rest of the members pack their things. Today had been a fairly good day for training. Everything went smoothly, well, as smooth as things could go in the team.
You say your goodbyes to your seniors before you head the opposite way with Tadashi and Tsukishima.
“Say, y/n-chan,” Tadashi starts and you turn to him.
“Hm?”
“How’s it going with your crush?” Tadashi asks, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. Tsukishima remains nonchalant, though he does turn to you.
You feel your ears turn pink and you look away, afraid your eyes may reveal something clandestine.
“Nothing, still. I haven’t gathered up the courage to confess.” You chuckle nervously, rubbing the back of your head. Out of the corner of your eye, you see Tsukishima look away in disinterest, and you feel your heart break a little. Just a little though.
Tadashi sighs. “Maybe if you just told us we could help you!” He pokes your side with his elbow.
“N-no, no thanks. I feel like that would just make things even more complicated, and I wanna do it on my own terms.” You give Tadashi an apologetic smile, letting your eyes glance over to a certain blond for a split second.
That was an understatement. Telling Tadashi would make things much much more complicated, considering your crush was none other than the snarky blonde on the opposite side of your small group.
“Okay, I can respect that.”
The rest of the walk is silent, and Tadashi eventually branches off to his street, leaving you alone with the one and only Tsukishima.
You could never really pinpoint when you started having a crush on Tsukishima. Next to Tadashi, you’ve known him the longest, so it’s definitely hard to say when it exactly started, given all the time you’ve spent together.
However, if you were asked, you’d probably say sometime before high school. When you realised it, you were terrified to say the least. Falling for the crankiest person you know isn’t exactly ideal.
Furthermore, Tsukki never really showed interest in romance, so for all your years of friendship, you don’t know anything about his preferences or his tells.
Recently, you’ve grown hyper aware of your emotions, due to spending even more time with him as an assistant manager of the volleyball club. It’s quite the miracle that you’re not a tomato now given your close proximity to the him.
“Oi, don’t think too much, you might use your last brain cell.” A cool voice breaks you out of your reverie.
You huff and pout. “Tsukishima, you’re so mean. I have more than one brain cell you know. I can afford to think.”
“I’m surprised you even have one left, with how you were looking earlier with physics.” He snickers.
You slap his arm. “Well not all of us have an unlimited supply, you know. I have to make do with what I have.”
“Two brain cells?” He snickers once again.
You roll your eyes playfully. “Yes, thank you very much.”
“Both working?”
“Okay, now that’s just mean.” You cross your arms over your chest. “I can’t help it if one of them decidedly thinks about–my crush.” You quickly save yourself the slip up of nearly saying ‘you’. You give yourself an internal pat on the back.
Seeing as you’ve entered the topic of your ‘crush’, you take the rare opportunity to subtly ask him about it. “Say, Tsukishima, if a girl were to confess to you, how would you want it to go, ideally?”
“I’d want her to make me king of the Japan, before gifting me with an Ankylosaurus army to take over the world with. Maybe a torture chamber for the king and the shrimp.”
You scoff. “That’s ridiculous, you can’t even ride an Ankylosaurus, how the hell would you use it to take over the world?”
You hear what you can only think of as a chuckle from Tsukishima. “It’s more plausible than the question you’re asking me. Of all the people, really. Do I look like a person who cares about that stuff?”
“Well, I just thought, you’re a guy, you ought’a know, right? I’m sorry for assuming the best of you.” You huff out again.
“It doesn’t matter anyway, it’s all gonna end the same anyway.”
“How’s that?”
He smiles positively, and your heart is filled with hope, confused hope, but hope nonetheless.
“I’d happily reject them.”
Your face falls. “You really are a horrible person.” You grumble.
“I don’t really care for romance. I think it’s useless and burdening, all that obligation and responsibility and for what? Just so you can feel validated by another person? I can do that for myself, and it’d be cheaper too. Plus, it’ll save me from all that nasty crying once we break up.” He replies coldly, and you feel your heart shatter.
The way he says it doesn’t help. He says it with so much disdain that you can’t help but think about how stupid you are for thinking that that you could ever have a chance with him.
You manage to keep your tears in and your face straight. You can’t look him in the eyes without bursting so you opt for the road ahead of you instead. You feel relief as you catch sight of your house in the distance.
The walk there is filled with nothing but uncomfortable silence. Tsukishima has his headphones on and his face is the same.
‘So that’s how he feels…’ You can’t help but replay his words over and over in your head, and you feel your heart break every time. The only thing keeping the dam together was the embarrassment you now you’d feel if it were to break right now.
With your house only a few paces away, you quicken your steps. “See you tomorrow, Tsukishima.” You manage to say goodbye without stuttering and you don’t dare look back, for fear that he’ll notice the welling tears in your eyes.
‘…useless and burdening…’
‘…it’ll save me from all that nasty crying once we break up…’
You run through the door. Too focused on not sobbing, you don’t notice how Tsukishima’s gaze followed you as you ran, nor the concerned look in his eyes.
Turns out, you may have lied to Tsukishima. You didn’t see him the next day, or the day after that, or the rest of the week for that matter. Well, technically, you did. But you avoided all interaction with him at all costs.
What he said really stung, and while you know it’s not really his fault maybe his parents’ but that’s for another story and it’s not exactly fair to just start ignoring him altogether, it’s also not fair that you fell in love with possibly the world’s most emotionally unavailable man but you aren’t complaining are you? Okay, maybe you are, but that’s besides the point. You’re not ready to face him yet, and you won’t until you are.
The classes you had together were spent with you surrounded by many other people. During volleyball practice, you always arrived when they were deep into training, and you left early as well, with the excuse of having to take care of your brother. You stopped walking home with Tadashi and Tsukishima.
Even during their breaks, you’d be so engrossed in something, be it homework or strategy that they couldn’t even disturb you, which they found strange since you never really were the most diligent student (read: you’re a known lazy ass).
All of the members, save for one particular blonde, tried to talk to you, but you simply waved it off as stress from school. None of them believed you, you know, but they got the message and decided against bothering you for more information.
It’s Saturday and your solid plan of sleeping in is effectively ruined by your phone ringing.
“I swear, I turned off all my alarms, who the fuck calls at–” you glance at your clock, “–six o’clock on a Saturday morning.”
You groan and grab your phone. For a moment you consider throwing it against the wall and going back to sleep.
“Hello, you’ve reached the Devil, how may I help you?” You croak. “Oh, you want to go to hell? Why, stay on this line and you will soon!” You hiss out and look at the caller ID.
SnarKei (+81) 22 37632
Okay, you admit, you feel a certain satisfaction at snarking him. Just a little.
“Aw, did someone wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?” He replies in a mocking cutesy voice. “Did the inevitable happen? Have you already been rejected?”
That stings you, and you mumble to yourself. “Something of the sort.” You’re not sure if he hears you though, and you really don’t care. Nope. Not. At. All.
You are met with silence, so you assume that he didn’t hear you, or else he most likely would have poked more fun at your still-bleeding wound.
“What do you want, Tsukishima?”
“Of course you’d forget. You have the memory of a goldfish.” Tsukishima comments bluntly. “We have Saturday training today, goldfish.”
“This early in the morning? Why don’t I remember this being announced?” You yawn and get up from bed.
“Yes, this early, because a big match is near. And you’d remember if, aside from your goldfish memory, you’d actually stayed until the end of training to hear announcements.” You can practically feel Tsukishima looming over you with his scary deadpan.
“Okay, okay, I’m sorry. Tell coach I apologise for being late. I’ll be there in–” You yawn once more. “30 minutes.”
“Make sure you shower well. I can smell your stink from here.” Tsukishima’s infamous smirk pops in your mind and you subconsciously sneer.
“You’re just smelling yourself.” You retort and end the call. You feel your heart ache, and sigh. At least it’s been reduced to a dull ache now, however troublesome.
‘I’m sure I’ll get over this. Maybe in a week or two.’  You think to yourself as you enter the shower.
You believe you just lied to yourself.
You hear no sound from the gym, and the lights are off.
You check your watch just to be sure.
7:30 am
‘Okay, what the hell?’ You peek through the windows, maybe they’re practicing with the lights off? That wouldn’t explain the lack of squeaking shoes and balls dropping, though.
“You’re late.”
You jump and turn around. You’re ready to grab the pepper spray in your right boot when you identify the would-be-predator as Tsukishima.
“You scared me.” You breathe out, putting a hand on your racing heart in an attempt to calm it down. It doesn’t stop racing though.
Tsukishima feigns hurt. “What, with my beautiful voice?”
You roll your eyes and fight a smile. “Why’d you tell me there was training?”
“Because otherwise you wouldn’t have come and I wouldn’t find out why you’re avoiding me.” He states it as if he were talking about the weather, rather cheerfully. But you sense the hostility behind that cheerfulness, as any person would.
“I don’t know–” You start talking, but you stop as Tsukihima walks slowly towards you. He stops when he’s only a step away, and you’re suddenly extremely aware of your closeness and his unjust height advantage.
“…what you’re talking about.” You continue in a smaller voice, feeling yourself overwhelmed by Tsukishima’s presence and size.
He continues to loom over and look down on you.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” You tentatively look into his eyes, and immediately look away. His golden-brown eyes are intense, and you’re scared that if you look for a second more you won’t be able to look away.
“Because I don’t like liars.”
You snort instinctively. “That’s ironic. Part of your role is deceiving.”
He shrugs. “Deceiving and lying are two different things.”
“Lying is deceiving.” You point out. You don’t notice that you are able to meet his eyes as you challenge him.
“But deceiving is not always lying.” He smirks back, and the two of you get into a staring contest.
You stare into his eyes and you feel yourself getting lost. You look away first, afraid of what might happen or what you might say if you don’t. You fail to notice his faltering smirk.
“So, I assume you didn’t just bring me here for semantics?” You cross you arms over your chest. Your previously calmed heart starts racing again.
Tsukishima takes a small step closer, and you instinctually take one back. “I told you, goldfish, I want to find out why you’re avoiding me.”
His gaze never leaves your face, and you’re painfully aware of it, so much so that you will your eyes to look at anything but his. You’re tempted to look back, but you know once you do, all your walls will fall.
‘This is so unfair.’ You think to yourself as you start over-analysing Tsukishima’s shoes.
“Why don’t you look me in the eye? Afraid of what you might say?” He taunts you. He’s testing waters, and by the looks of it, he know he’s hit the bullseye.
“N-no. I’m perfectly confident with my words, thank you.” You reply, swallowing the bile in your throat.
He scoffs. “Prove it. Look at me.”
You feel your ears tingle and you attempt to resist, but your pride doesn’t allow it. Reluctantly, you meet his eyes, and you immediately regret it.
They’re fierce and intense, his golden eyes, even more so than before. Your breath is taken away and you forget what you were about to say.
“Let’s try this one more time,” Tsukishima takes another, larger step forward, and you take one back, or at least, attempt to. Your back hits the wall, and before you know it, you’re cornered. His places his right arm next to your head as he leans over you. You can almost feel his minty breath on your face.
Out of the corner of your eye, you notice that he doesn’t place his left arm on the other side.
‘He’s giving me a way out.’ You think, and you can’t help but internally smile. He doesn’t want to force you into anything you don’t want, but he’s putting pressure on you. You bit your inner cheek in an attempt to ground yourself.
“Why have you been avoiding me since we last walked home together?” His voice is softer this time, but his intensity doesn’t waver. An emotion flashes in his eyes, you’re not sure what it is. Uncertainty? Hurt?
You swallow the bile in your throat. You feel like you just ran a marathon and your face seems to think so too, if the rising heat in your cheeks is anything to go by.
“I–I…” You fumble around for words, unsure of what to say. The golden irises staring into your soul surely isn’t making it any easier.
‘So much for my two working braincells..’ You say to yourself.
Your brain nearly overheats in attempting to make an excuse. Instead, it settles for giving your irrational courage to confess once and for all.
Knowing what you’re going to say, you are unable to look him in the eyes and deflate
“I was hurt…” You whisper softly, feeling the tears well in your eyes. “…by what you said.”
“Why?” He asks, quieter this time.
You sigh defeatedly. There’s no point in delaying it now. You feel all the “healing” you went through in your time away dissipate into thin air. The once dull ache is now a stabbing pain in your chest, but you soldier on.
“Because I like with you. And I idiotically thought that maybe you felt the same way. Yes, it’s dumb. You don’t have to reject me, I know what your answer is, you’ve made yourself perfectly clear about it and–”
You’re interrupted by a pair of lips pressing against yours. It takes a second for it to register. Until it does.
You hear yourself internally screaming as Tsukishima slowly rises from his awkward position and straightens his back, forcing you to turn your head upwards and tip toe.
Tsukishima realises this and smirks. He straightens up even more, just a touch too high for your lips.
You don’t even notice that your eyes are closed until you open them to see Tsukishima’s annoying smug face.
“I never grasped how small you are until now.” He teases, and you feel his cool breath brush against your skin.
You’re too flustered to make a retort, and you’re pretty sure your face is red. You take another moment to let the previous events sink in.
‘Tsukishima…. Kissed… Me…’
He snorts. “Have your two braincells short-circuited?” He gazes down on you, and you see, behind his teasing, is genuine worry.
“You kissed me…” You blink multiple times, and a smile forms on your face as Tsukishima raises a brow. “…first.”
A giddy smile takes over your face, because of the fact that you just stated and the fact that Tsukishima is blushing right now. For once, you aren’t the one avoiding eye contact.
“You kissed me first.” You teased, tipping your toes even more to get a closer look at his blushing face.
“Only because you were putting words in my mouth and you wouldn’t stop.” He mumbles, giving you a sideways glance before looking away as he blushes even more,
You giggle. “Technically, I was putting your words into your mouth. Besides, what was all that ‘I don’t care for romance’ stuff you said?” You poke his warm cheek playfully.
“It’s called lying. And techinically, you confessed first.” It’s your turn to blush and Tsukishima’s to smugly smirk as he pokes your cheek back.
“So, what does this mean? And since when did you figure it out, given this whole set-up?” You mumble, fiddling with the edge of your white shirt with a red “shut up” written on it.
“It means I like you back, even if you have a goldfish brain, goldfish. And you weren’t exactly subtle with the way you got upset last time.” He pokes your cheek once more. His face is back to it’s regular nonchalant state, but you see a twinge of playfulness in his eyes.
You cross your arms over your chest and pout, sneering at him. “I don’t have a goldfish brain. How could I forget something that never existed?”
“You can’t. Who said anything about training not existing?” He raises a brow.
“Didn’t you call me here to get me to confess?” You deadpan at the memory. “Coward.” You mumble under your breath.
Tsukishima smirks. “I did. But there is training, just not for the university.”
As if on cue, you hear a loud bickering noise.
You both turn to the source and find the old Karasuno team, complete with Hinata and Kageyama bickering.
You beam at the sight and turn to Tsukishima. You nearly tackle him into a hug, regardless of how he may feel about hugs.
He looks away with a light blush dusting his features once more. He uses his free hand to pat you on your head.
“Happy birthday, goldfish.”
fagdhefjks;laLKSJH i dont think i captured tsukki well here, and the part feels rushed. sorry for that idk where this went gg
