Whoa, has anyone else noticed how crazy life has become? Like we're all in a cosmic episode of "Fast & Furious" without the cool cars. You're thinking about the weekend one minute, and then it's Monday again the next. What the…?

When did saying you're "busy" become such a bragging point? "Hey, how are you doing?" "Oh, I'm so busy!" Like, good job? 🤷‍♂

Don't get me wrong, I love digital magic like memes, instant noodles, and watching whole TV shows in one night. But don't you sometimes just want to slow things down a bit? To just zone out without feeling like you're missing out on something or losing valuable "productivity" time?

I remember lazy days when the most important thing was what type of ice cream to get or how long I could sleep without becoming Sleeping Beauty. (Spoiler alert: It's a very long time.)

So, here's an idea: let's bring back those laid-back feelings. Reread a favourite book, talk with friends without keeping an eye on the time, or just lie in the grass and watch the clouds. Think back to clouds. Floaty, soft, and not very urgent. We should act more like clouds.

If you're nodding your head and thinking, "Yeah, let's slow down this crazy ride," then we're doing something right. In a world full of dance beats, for those who love a slow jam.

Take it easy, chill out, and be a slacker.

Today was another rough-ish day. The heat was not restored until almost midnight, and my arm is in a surprising amount of pain from the tetanus shot. I also got maybe 5-6 hours of sleep due to the cold. So today was a lot of just... Maintaining?

I read more of my book today, and I supported a friend in achieving some of her goals. I also made some awesome loaded nachos today. All of these things seem small to me, but they do count towards being the person I want to be, and I have to remind myself that this project isn’t about beating myself up for not doing everything I wanted to get done, it’s about stepping slowly towards being a better me.

Tomorrow I have a few social events, and then I’d like to order groceries and/or clean!
