So not only did Crunchyroll refuse to meet with a Union rep, they stealth dropped the English dub of Mob Psycho S3 and apparently Chris Niosi kept his role as Reigen.

Now there’s a LOT to unpack here so I apologize if this post is long and rambly.

As far as I know Niosi doesn’t live in Texas, so Crunchy’s “We want the actors to record in person at our new Dallas studio” excuse was complete bullshit.

The only way Niosi could have reprised his role as Reigen is via home recording, which means that Crunchy could have allowed Kyle McCarley to do the same but chose not to because they’re a bunch of cheap bastards.

And keep in mind that all McCarley wanted was for them to meet with a SAG AFTRA rep to work out a way for him to come back as Mob for the final season. So it’s not like his demands were unreasonable or anything like that.

Now I’m not gonna recap every single shitty thing Chris Niosi has done because we’d be here all day, so I’m just gonna leave a link to an old post detailing just how shitty of a person he actually is.

Oh and if being a loathsome sack of shit wasn’t bad enough, Niosi has a habit of breaking NDA’s.

In fact, one of the reasons why Niosi was recast as the male version of Byleth in Three Houses is because he leaked his involvement in that game by telling someone on Discord about it. 

After he got fired by Nintendo he was pretty much blacklisted by every other major company, which is why he hasn’t had a major role in a big franchise during the past couple of years.

It honestly boggles my mind how Crunchyroll is willing to go to such great lengths to burn bridges with Kyle McCarley, but they have no issue with giving an abusive asshole like Niosi a platform.

If you wanna watch the third season of Mob Psycho, please watch it subbed and don’t give Crunchyroll a single goddamn cent.

I’m trying to read through all (or almost all) of the books I own and am currently on a stand-alones streak and trying to go through a bunch of stand-alones instead of getting caught up in series. OR I WOULD BE IF I STOPPED ACCIDENTALLY STARTING SERIES like come on
