The girl looked, and saw expectation. She said nothing, awaiting the anger that followed inaction.

“Speak, girl!” The Wizard cried again.

The girl still stood there, as her lips stood still. She saw no anger in the man, only hope.

The girl saw the same growing in herself, fledgling and unfamiliar.

“Speak my name, Cassandra!” The Wizard shouted still.

Understanding dawned.

The girl’s lips parted.

Once more, the Wizard cried out. “Speak the Word!”

And for the first time in her young life, Cassandra spoke.

“SHAZAM!”

Last Day Of Pride Post (Billy and Cissie Edition) 💖

No thoughts head empty but I am vibing with the idea of T4T Cissie asking Billy out to her school's Sadie Hawkins dance.

I think about this cute dance date as being in the beginning of their relationship and the first real date where Cissie is the one who makes the first move. Billy had been having a crush on Cissie since the moment he met her at the Whiz Radio station, thinking she was the prettiest girl in the world, so when he finds out that Cissie feels the same way that he does, the kid is jumping for joy :D

At the same time, he's like so nervous and shy though, because this is his first date ever! Of course he needs help getting ready! So, queue Billy going around asking everyone he can for advice on romance and dances.

Billy goes to Freddy to break the news and celebrate with chocolate egg creams.

He shly asks his twin sister Mary for help picking out which flowers to get for Cissie.

He smiles when he finds out Scott was also asked out by a girl at Cissie's school to the dance, relieved he won't be alone.

He studies a book of pick up lines that Sunny Sparkle gave (and promptly gave back because it was stolen).

He gets embarrassed when Mr. Bromfield helps him pick out a nice suit and tie while hearing his adopted father's dating stories from back in the day.

He laughs when Uncle Dudley tries to teach him how to dance with moves from decades ago.

He takes notes when Joane Jameson, his coworker at Whiz Radio, gives him polite advice on first dances.

He rolls his eyes when the wizard says he should be focusing on other important matters, but is grateful for the magic flower he's given for the corsage.

He groans when Tawky Tawny helps teach him the right elegant manners to use when on a date, Billy feels like he enrolled in a finishing school.

He asks for Solomon to give him the wisdom he needs to not embarrass Cissie.

He prays for Hercules to give him strength to be the best boyfriend he can be.

He begs Atlas to give him the stamina to dance every dance with Cissie.

He tells Zeus to mind his business 👋

He wishes for Achilles to grant him some courage to hold Cissie's hand.

He requests for Mercury to allow him the speed to help him get to the dance on time, not a minute or second late, to not keep Cissie waiting.

In the end, at the Sadie Hawkins dance, Billy and Cissie spend their first date holding hands and dancing along to bad music chosen by the chaperones and sponsor (Mr. Morris).

Billy calls Cissie beautiful. Cissie calls him handsome. Neither of them can take a compliment and go back and forth saying the other looks better.

Cissie is wearing an adorable pink and fluffy dress, wearing the flowers Billy got for her in her hair. Billy is wearing his first suit ever, and is so proud of it (although he hates the tie). They goof off and laugh at their awkwardness, smile at how good they both look in their suit and dress respectively, blush at the comments Scott makes about them being a good couple, and ultimately, know this was the best first date they could hope for.

The dance ends for everyone else at the end of the evening, but for Billy, his heart continues to dance for Cissie.

What do you think about the wizard who gave Billy his powers? I want to believe he's a good man, but there's a part of me who wants to see his potential as a former magical hero who has rotten from time into a hidden villain. But there's also another part of me who wants to see this wizard grandpa become a father figure to Billy

Like, if Billy needs a guardian for whatever reason, he brings along this old ass wizard man and boom, he's got himself a temporary dad 👨 Which could lead to funny and awkward encounters with the JL

Ooh, the Wizard probably one of the most complex characters in the Shazam line up. I tend to be open to different interpretations of his character based on the story being told.

But for me personally, I think he is someone who was once very strongly on the side of good, but after what happened with Black Adam he became jaded and somewhat paranoid which wasn't helped by his self imposed isolation. He grieved, he made mistakes, he was harsh and unforgiving when didn’t need to be, but he was never evil.

He still tried to keep the balance, keep the peace, but his heart wasn't truly in it until he found Billy and saw in him someone he could believe in. I think with Billy (and other members of the Shazamily) he tries to be the best version of himself even when he's upset with them.

Basically I imagine that Billy has a positively skewed perception of the Wizard because of everything he's done for him and his efforts to be kind towards Billy. He nutures Billy’s powers and his growth as a hero and Billy really appreciates being guided but also being trusted to make the right decisions.

But everyone else (the JL, villains, magic users) won't be given the same grace. They don't get the kindly grandfather/mentor figure, they get an ancient, powerful, and deeply judgemental Wizard who seems to know everything and yet delegates his harshest battles to the 10 year old kid he snatched off the streets. He makes people nervous and suspicious of his motives. Most people (especially the JL) would have very unflattering opinions of him but they know he's dangerous.

tl;dr: the Wizard isn't a villain, just a crotchety old hermit who loves one (1) child and will do things for the "greater good" even if it's shady as hell.

I am recently obsessed with the Scream franchise, and I'm going to make a crossover about it with every fandom I'm in. Anyways, scream x shazam! (2019/ 2023 one... I never read the comics.

Okay, so we know how, there are 2 killers in Scream right? (Well except for Scream 3 and Scream 6...) So yeah... what if the Ghostface duo is Billy and Anthea... Both Billy and Anthea usually don't use their powers to kill their victims, unless they actually need it... Their opening kill would be Marilyn Batson (Billy's mother...) and they will also be targeting her boyfriend too... At first, they plan to kill Brett and Burke (The two bullies) but they decided to make them the suspects... Billy would go to kill some of his past foster families, and Anthea helps him... While Anthea, the main target for her is the wizard... but she also went to kill a few other people as an act of revenge for destroying her realm (Which is very off from her in the movies, but who cares.)

Now Billy and Anthea start to target the Shazamily, yk... Freddy, Eugene, Mary, Darla, and Pedro... Billy faked his death which the other finds out... but they make Billy's 'corpse' gone. So the wizard came because Billy is dead, and Anthea took that chance to take their powers... and the others trust Anthea... so, they didn't suspect a thing.... so, they went with their plan to frame Brett and Burke... So then... Freddy was alone in the house, the others have their plans outside... He was attacked but thankfully not killed... But there are some members of the family that died, which are Rosa, Victor, and Eugene... Then later on, they are also able to kill the wizard... of course, they planted some fake evidence that Brett and Burke are guilty, at first, Freddy didn't believe it but slowly, he starts to get tricked... A few weeks later.... that was when Eugene died... they made a funeral, and let a few visitors stay at their house for comfort... Brett and Burke didn't leave yet... probably too tick him off, but as Freddy suspected them... He made a plan with the others, so they could catch them but then they find Rosa and Victor, dead. They were furious...

They went to find Brett and Burke, only to find them, dead only for Mary to receive a phone call and that's when Anthea starts attacking with her mask on.... they ran and ran... thankfully... they managed to survive... They were at the hospital for 2 weeks... when they got home, they have protection with them... the polices... Billy and Anthea realize that this is the time to use their powers... they killed all the polices while trying to avoid being too loud... Then Mary was attacked first, she was alive but unconscious... The wizard came inside... Freddy, Pedro, and Darla tried to find weapons, but they didn't find anything... Then when Freddy receives a phone call, Anthea with her Ghostface costume surprise attack Pedro, and he went unconscious, Freddy threw a vase at her and she feels a bit of pain. Then Billy with his Ghostface costume, came behind Freddy and Darla, bringing a gun. Anthea also took out a gun with her and she stabs the wizard and shot him a couple of times... Freddy commands them to show themself since they were gonna die, anyways.... Billy replied by saying with his voice changed, "Of course... anything for my family..." He took off his mask, and Anthea did the same thing. Billy grabbed Freddy stabs him a couple of times before, putting a gun over Freddy's head. Freddy and Darla felt betrayed... Anthea was starting to go and stab Darla too, but she was stopped by the justice league... there was a big fight, and Billy and Anthea were using her powers, but the justice league ended up winning... the remaining family survived but they have no powers left and had to be separated because Rosa and Victor died... after that, they have a hard time trusting someone.

Billy Batson.

Motive: He was upset when he finds out his mother, who abandoned him, and adopted another kid. And was sick of being rejected by people... he was even rejected by the town when all he tried to do was help them... so he decided to take revenge and starts to enjoy committing murder.

Kills: 12 kills (Rosa, Eugene, Marilyn, Marilyn's boyfriend, Brett, three polices, and 2 foster parents)

Anthea

Motive: To get revenge on the wizard, that took her father's powers... and to the people, for destroying her realm... She killed Kalypso because she wanted to take revenge herself (Unlike the movies)

Kills: 13 kills (Victor, Burke, The wizard, Three police, and a group with 7 people in it, the whole group is doing drugs and destroy the earth)

(This is not based on canon. I'm aware that the character wouldn't actually do this.. I was just bored, and I have been obsessing with Scream lately)

Once upon a very long time ago, there was a wizard who became a champion against the enemies of man, the world's mightiest mortal. This is his story.

Notes:

I can’t say where I first encountered DC’s Captain Marvel (Shazam, if we must). I don’t have a massive emotional connection to the comics or anything like that. But I do like the idea. That wish-fulfillment personified approach to a superhero, coupled (in the best incarnations) to sincerity and simple kindness. Plus, you know, the best golden age rogue’s gallery bar none.

This fic was basically me playing around with the backstory and concept in the wake of the New 52 reboot. I think there’s a lot of interesting stuff that could be done there and generally hasn’t, so consider this a stab at getting some of those ideas on a page.
