“Oh hey, Gold! There’s a new kind of Tyranitar that I think you’ll love. Wanna see it?”

Nodding, the limbless trainer floated over, sitting down beside you on the bed as you showed him your [Scarlet/Violet] game.

While the rest of the pokepasta trainers either rejected or were indifferent to newer generations of games, Gold was impressed by some of the new features, such as the Mega Tyranitar you showed him earlier today.

You had a feeling he’ll adore this version just as much.

“So here’s a Tyranitar, but from the future. It’s called Iron Thorns.”

He blinked in surprise upon seeing the robotic dinosaur with metallic armor on your screen. It had bluish-green liquid encased inside it, visible through transparent pieces.

His face didn’t show much of an initial reaction, but you went ahead and explained the gist of Paradox Pokémon without diving too deep into spoilers (not that you think he’d care about them, but you’re considerate).

“That’s..really cool..” He rasped after you finished, giving you a small smile. “Are there-?”

"Jeez, are they running out of ideas or what?”

You jumped, completely forgetting that Glitchy Red was also in the room with you. 

He was in the corner, looking through your trading card collection when your rambles of Paradox Pokémon got his attention--while also irritating him at the same time. It was enough to make him snap the book shut and teleport over to you, huffing.

Normally, he wouldn’t care about all this new stuff; he only got curious when you mentioned Charizard’s mega evolutions, and he thought it was a cool and simple concept: a more powerful form of a Pokémon done via a special stone, with its appearance depending on the game.

That didn’t sound too bad.

But then he accidentally put himself into a Diggserby’s hole when he wondered out loud what else changed in the series. You ranted to him about regional forms, Ultra Beasts, Gigantamax, Z-Moves, and Titans.

Suddenly nothing made sense to him, and it gave him a headache as he simply wondered...why?

Back in his day, the most complex evolutions were Eeveelutions, the only “variant” that mattered was a Shiny, and there wasn’t any past or future “relative” nonsense...only fossil Pokémon.

“Honestly I think it’s cool and brings some unique stories to the game.” You frowned slightly as Glitchy sat on the other side of you. He took off his hat to run his hands through his hair, clearly lost. “Don’t give yourself any viruses, bud. It’s not that deep.”

“I just....it’s unbelievable. They’re just grasping at any theme they could find out there..trying to keep players coming back for more.” He scoffed. “So what’s next? Pokémon changing their types now?”

The ridiculous idea made him chuckle a bit..

Until he noticed your expression was dead serious.

“Wait..don’t even tell me-”

“Actually they can. Scarlet and Violet also have this new battle mechanic called “Terastallizing”, where you can use Tera Crystals to alter your Pokémon's type.”

“..I was joking. Why would--ugh, nevermind...” Groaning, he put his hands over his face. Gold could see how distressed he looked and pouted a little bit.

The Unowns spelled out “I KNOW” for Glitchy, showing that their trainer sympathized with him. He looked at them, and then to him, sighing. “I’m stunned your head isn’t exploding again.”

"Boys, you’re being dramatic.” You chuckled, shaking your head before deciding to continue the game. “Now if you’ll excuse me..I got a Charizard raid battle to do. You’re both free to watch me play. My Tera Crystals have some cool and unique effects to them.”

His eye twitched at your emphasis on those words, and he would have retaliated with some snark had Gold not shuffled closer to you, watching the screen. 

And after some hesitance himself....he gave in and ended up doing the same, observing the battle while making sure he didn’t accidentally corrupt your gameplay.

Both of them were actually impressed by the way you battled.

If you were in their world, you’d be a great Pokémon trainer for sure.

Hopefully not cursed like them, obviously.

Teen Titans: Robin by Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo

I didn’t think I could love Dick Grayson any more than I could, but then I encountered Garcia and Picolo’s version of him and oh boy am I back in my feelings.

I fucking love that DC has decided to do a YA take on so many of its characters, but the Teen Titans series lends itself to this best — maybe because they are teenagers themselves and because their story lends itself best to a certain kind of serialisation.

Garcia’s writing has been most confident while unpacking each of these characters’ backstory and exploring their conflicts and emotions. But the real star of all of these is Gabriel Picolo’s absolutely dynamic art which captures their many facets and personalities and makes them feel like flawed but winsome teens just doing their best in the situations they find themselves in.

Their clothes are cool. The colouring is lush. Their poses constantly exemplify how full of life and energy they are and it only propels their stories forward.

The conflict for this story was interesting as it was Damian feeling jealous of Dick, the son Bruce seemingly wanted and actively “chose” in contrast to his own situation. To their credit, Dick was more than eager to form a relationship, while Damian was understandably stubborn about the whole thing. In any case it was a ton of fun and felt like an adventure and has me rooting for Starfire to join the crew and for her future romance with Dick — especially since all the other relationships in the series are so sweet.

Ugh. Waiting is going to be torture.

he doesn’t really know whether he should confess.. he feels selfish because of the situation you guys are living in, it’s already awful losing your friends or even strangers, but losing a lover is an indescribable pain. after he finds out he accidentally hurt you while going rouge in his titan form, he immediately starts apologising and in the middle, accidentally confessed.

“i’m so sorry. no, you don’t understand! i would never want to hurt you! it’s not okay!! how could i ever hurt the person i love?! even if i didn’t know what i was doing, i’m still so sorr-”

“boy what. you love me?”

“… did i really just say that.”

you guys are out on the battle field, coordinating perfectly in your moves. but, as mikasa is admiring your beauty - she accidentally messes up, but thankfully you’re right there next to her, saving her in a blink of an eye. she gets very caught up in the moment (her words) and confesses.

“thank you, y/n. thank you so much, not just for saving me, for everything. i-i… i appreciate you so much..”

“mikasa-”

she proceeds to hug you and you both just take in each other scents, in peace (as much as you can be in peace on a battle field) but even without the words ‘i love you’ you know she just confessed :).

ugh he’s so cute :(( he wants to have a sweet confession not, a big and extravagant one - that’s not your guys’ style. he makes one of those books with dead flowers stuck in it (your favourite flowers) and at the end of the book where it’s a blank page, he wrote ‘i love you <3’

he gave it to you with a lot of encouragement from the boys, lots of back pats and ‘go on!!’ ‘you got this!’ and LET ME TELL YOU. it was the cutest confession ever. you opened it and thought it was just a sweet gift but when you saw the last page, you nearly cried. you engulfed armin in a hug and he was quick to hug you back, then you said ‘i love too, armin.’ HE TEARED UP. it was so wholesome. (btw you definitely heard shouts and claps from the boys around the corner)

THIS MAN WAS PREPPING. for like two weeks honestly, but he kinda just blurted in out in the end. mans was really around all the shops in town, picking your favourite flowers, sparkling jewellery and painting landscape to put on your wall but, ended up confessing in the middle of a conversation. like what.

“and then a titan was SO close to me, it was so scary! i-”

“NO!! YOU CANT DIE YET, I NEED TO MARRY YOU FIRST”

“. . . jean, i love you too but, it was just a dream.”

(he still gave you the gifts btw)

poor girl, she literally had no idea what to do. she went to connie immediately for advice (as if he knows how to confess..), she got some pretty shitty advice from him and when he noticed her confused face caused by his bad advice, he called for backup aka jean who also gave some shitty advice 😭. she gave up with the boys and moved onto mikasa.. bless her heart, she’s way too awkward to even fathom a way to confess. now, sasha felt a bit hopeless. until she decided to ask historia and ymir.

ymir’s advice was quite literally “just tell her, straight up.” then that’s when historia jumped in. “ymir! think more romantic! sasha, i would say take her to the flower field in the south and confess there :).”

and she did exactly that! you guys strolled in those flower fields for ages, eventually settling down for some food and you made sure to bring your own since you thought sasha wouldn’t be keen to share, but today was different… she was offering all the food she had! you accept (some of it) gratefully but that didn’t fog your confusion. soon enough, the sun started to set and sasha whipped out a letter that historia wrote on her behalf (to help her out lol). she read the first few sentences but eventually gave up and said,

“aw, as nice as that all is, i just wanna say it. y/n, i like you! i’d like for you to be my s/o… please?”

she blushed profusely and all that you could say was..

“of course, sasha! i like you too!”

you guys fell into a hug and then accidentally fell down a little hill, but still hugging nonetheless.

this boy oh ma gawd man 😭

i just know him and reiner have this ‘fuck boy’ energy, mostly reiner since he is canonically the most attractive guy. he asked reiner for advice because he can ‘pull women’ (he tried to pull a lesbian.) but anyways, reiner told him to act really cool and unbothered, not a mean kind of unbothered but more of a ‘yeah i know i’m cool, but don’t show it’ unbothered. with this advice, connie strolled up to you in the canteen really suave-like.

“hey y/n, i like you okay? and if you don’t like me, BAH that sucks for you, your loss.”

and looks away to seem ‘unbothered’ but honestly, he’s about to cry. you giggle at him because you know hes just being a weirdo about it since he doesn’t really know how to confess.

“damn, my loss. if only i loved connie springer!”

he bent down and whispered in your ear,

“wait, are you serious? i genuinely thought you liked me..”

loses his cool IMMEDIATELY. you laugh again,

“hahaha, im just joking stupid. of course i like you!”

he lets out a huge sigh of relief “oh my fuck, thank god.”

he’s so infatuated with you and genuinely thinks you deserve the world, so expect a meaningful confession.

now although with connie he said to, ‘act suave’ he knew you weren’t gonna take a confession as shit as that 💀.

he took you to your guys’ spot, as usual. now, you thought nothing of it because you guys always go there but reiner on the other hand, had this confession in mind. you guys sat and chit chatted about your days as normal but suddenly, reiner went silent… you absolutely shat yourself. like ‘what did i say?’ ‘did i do something wrong?’ and reiner very quickly realised how worried you looked - he switched up very fast and got quite nervous bless him 😭. it was really cute watching this massive, kinda brute dude getting all nervous.

“okay woah, you look worried! i’m sorry y/n, haha.. i’m getting nervous”

“reiner, i don’t wanna assume anything but i think i know what’s happening..”

“haha, what’s happening then y/n?”

“A PROPOSAL?”

“WHAT- Y/N?”

your guys’ boisterous laughs filled the evening sky.

he did try to get advice off reiner obviously, but reiners way of confessing just wasn’t his style. at first, he said he’d try it but before he could even walk up to you, it didn’t feel right. he went back to reiner and said he just couldn’t, so reiner told him he should try his own way! reiner and the whole training corps was so supportive bless.

since you guys baked all the time, he decided to make your favourite kind of cake! (it was quite a small cake, one that you guys could share)

he, very nervously, strolled up to you - cake in hand and burst out

“y/nireallylikeyouandimadeyouacakeihopeyoulikeit”

and you just needed a moment to process all of that, and you were like ‘😀’

but the cake was SO CUTE. it had a lil’ heart in the middle and you literally melted. it was so stinkin cute!!!

“thank you, bert! this is so sweet and so cute, just like you ;).”

and the man felt like he was going to burst.

“stop standing there like a goof! sit down and eat this cake with me!”

everyone especially annie’s friends, were SICK of her loving glares (yes, loving glares👁👁) towards you and her doing absolutely nothing about it.

and oh my lord. one day, mina lost her mind. she asked annie when she was going to confess and annie had the AUDACITY to lie and say, ‘what? i don’t like them.’ mina was flabbergasted to say the least, and had an absolute ’nough.

mina walked up to you with determination, pulled you aside and straight up told you “listen, annie really likes you. but her thick skull is getting in the way of ever confessing to you.” you were so taken aback! like what.. annie. the annie leonhart liked you? taken aback but thrilled of course.

knowing this, you had balls of fury and while you were hanging out with annie you decided to talk about it.

“hey annie, i don’t wanna make you uncomfortable butttt mina said you liked me and i know you’re not for all this lovey dovey shit but, i do like you too.” you said with the sweetest smile :(

annie got so sappy and even gave you a cheeky grin back, her eyes even started to sparkle. she didn’t say anything back and moved on pretty fast, but you just KNOW that she’s super happy.

hange spilled the beans. you guys were hanging out with hange one day, they were rambling and you were happily rambling along with them but, something they said caught you off guard.

‘awww, isn’t it so cute how head over heels levi is for you!’

and you quite literally stopped in your tracks and hange was just so flabbergasted that you hadn’t picked up on it??

‘wait what? head over heels for me??’

‘cmon y/n! you’re smarter than this!! of course he is! wow, i cant believe this. HA, oh well!’ they hurried you along and started skipping down the corridors.

after this conversation, you headed to levi’s office with your usual cups of tea. you were sitting in comfortable silence until you broke it.

“levi..”

“tch, what now?”

“hange told me you were.. head over heels for me?”

“what.”

“hey listen! i didn’t say anything! it’s just what i got told!”

“listen, y/n. i won’t lie to you, you are my closest companion. but, i refused to tell you purely because..”

“because..?”

“it’s a lot.”

“i understand. but levi, you do know that you’re my closest companion right?”

“hm. yeah.” he chuckled at your response. he thought you were such a cutie in that moment :).

“so… date soon?” you winked. and he grimaced. (you went on a date that weekend)

erwin is a classic guy. he knew he liked you and he wasn’t going to ignore it. he asked you out to a dinner date as per usual but it was very different this time compared to others. he seemed more distant? like his mind was somewhere else. he kept looking out the window, obviously pondering.

“y/n, i have something to confess.”

“oh, what? yes? what is it?”

“i’ve realised recently that i like you. i enjoy every second with you, i enjoy your company thoroughly and i was hoping i could keep your company but as my partner?”

“oh my god.. erwin! yes, oh my god.” you were so happy and shocked! it was such a simple but yet, sweet confession and now with sweet confession your sweet dessert came out.

literally wanted to shout to the world that they love you and want to be with you, forever!

hange decided to led you on a treasure hunt. yes, a treasure hunt. they wanted something different and extravagant for the confession. they sent you allll around the place, the training area, the stables, the offices, the dorms, the canteen, all of it - while leaving little notes that had hints of where you needed to go next. you ended up bang in the middle of the place and there they were, in all of their glory! they had your favourite bouquet of flowers, GOT ON ONE KNEE? LIKE THEY WERE GOING TO PROPOSE? you lowkey shit yourself.

but they got down on one knee, bouquet in hand and went on to say,

“y/n. i’ve come to realise i like you and i like you A LOT. i love how you’re so passionate about titans, science, nature, everyone and everything around you. i want you to explore your curiosity and i was hoping i could be by your side too.”

you were SO touched. of course, you got down next to them and gladly accepted. you have them the biggest hug ever!!

If you asked the batkids (generations Dick to Damian) who Bruce’s favorite child is, what would they answer?

Ugh, you asked about what they'd say, rather than what they believe. This is a much harder question!

(I'm including Babs and Duke anyways. I will figure Duke out through answering asks and you can't stop me!)

I'm not sure if ANY of these kids would have a set answer. It would vary so much based on who their audience was, and what period of their life the question was asked.

Dick - Why are you so cruel??? Unless you are a Titan, or maybe Babs, you aren't getting a truthful answer. He's going to answer whatever would be best for his siblings to overhear. And he's going to respect you less. Don't ask him this question. As for what he actually thinks - I ... I have no clue. Not him. He probably realizes it isn't Damian, and is angry about that. Other than that, I don't know! While Jason was dead (and before his death) he almost certainly thought Jason was. But now Cass and Tim are in the mix. A mystery.

Babs - She's been an outside observer for all these kids, so I'm guessing she'd think it was Jason. Bruce was gentle and openly affectionate in ways he wasn't with the others for both Dick and Jason, but with Jason, he did it without prompting. I think she'd be disgusted with the question and wouldn't answer, though.

Jason - Either Dick or, "He doesn't care about any of us, we're just cannon fodder." I suspect love may be boolean for him - either there or not, so 'favourite' might not be meaningful.

Tim - Okay, he could say anyone. Because he is NOT answering this question truthfully. No. That is not a form of vulnerability he could handle. You are getting managed. In reality, he thinks it's either Dick or Jason (depending on when this question is asked), but he is doing SO MUCH PROJECTING, you guys. He's basing it off what he saw before he joined the family, what he secretly feels about his siblings, and complex mental models of his dad that are only semi-connected to reality.

Steph - She'd say Cass, out of loyalty. And to make sure people don't forget Cass. Steph saw such a distorted version of Bruce - he was at his worst when interacting with her and Tim together, which is how he usually interacted with her. And she saw very little of Dick or Jason. My closest guess for her actual opinion is, "I HOPE it's not Tim. Surely he can do better than THAT, right?"

Cass - Cass MIGHT say herself? Especially if she was teasing a little. If she was trying to be serious, I think she would need to know context. Favourite to patrol with? Tim. I'm not sure if he thinks of Dick as 'Bruce's Child'. Dick is an adult, and raised Damian. Sure, Dick calls himself Damian's brother, but he isn't competition. Jason isn't shown favouritism in any way Damian can recognize, Cass isn't around, and Steph and Babs don't claim to be family. So that leaves Tim, and later Duke. And I think he is CONSTANTLY keeping a running tally of who is currently doing better in the cut-throat 'Bruce's Favourite' and 'Dick's Favourite' competitions.

Duke - Duke missed most of the drama. All he has is the current relationships to go on. Ignoring everything but his own continuity, post-Flashpoint (because Damian did not go off on his own as a young teen. That's unacceptable), I suspect that he'd think he had it pretty good. Dick and Tim have so much responsibility, and always seem insecure about how well they're doing. Bruce fights with Jason and Damian a lot. And Cass is rarely there. Duke isn't sure which relationship is BRUCE'S favourite, but he knows that he definitely prefers his own relationship with Bruce over everyone else's.

Ugh of course haters would say that, they are trying to make him responsible for every single thing that happened.

I find it interesting how well was he able to read Eren as a person (or any other person really) right from the start; even more so now when we know what the ending is.

In ep 19 when they’re fleeing from female titan and Eren wants to turn into his titan form; he, Levi, has this inner monologue (or was he saying it to his squad???)

“It’s clear to me. He’s a true monster. And not because of his titan abilities. No matter how you try to hold him down… No matter what cage you lock him up in… forcing his mind into submission is an impossible task”

while remembering Eren’s reaction when he asked him what his goal was / what he wants to do and Eren answered “I want to join the SC and kill some titans” with the most twisted expression on his face.

Same thing is mentioned in the visual novel, in that part where Levi shares a cup of tea with Petra; yes that part which some people love to use as a proof that he had a secret relationship with her, Others make it about Eren / Levi ship (because everything has to be about ships at least according to some people),

but in reality it’s neither of those. They talked about Eren. He asked her how’s he doing, how’s he adjusting to the squad, etc. Out of Levi’s squad she was the one who spent the most time with Eren, she was the closest to him (it’s mentioned in SnK guidebook if I remember correctly); of course it makes sense to ask her for her opinion. As we know Levi valued his squad’s opinions.

here is a quote from the visual novel: “…they cannot change Eren’s true nature. A perpetual monster. It’s not because of his titan powers but his soul itself is a monster. No matter what we do, we will not be able to subdue it”

He wasn’t asking about him because he’s in love with him, he asked about him because he was responsible for him. Levi volunteered to watch over him / keep an eye on him. He took the responsibility because he was the only one who could actually kill him if he got out of hand. Eren had no control over his titan powers back then.

Anyone who actually read the manga / watched the anime should be able to see why SC fought so hard to get Eren in their ranks. It was because they believed he can actually help them beat the titans. They believed he’s fighting for the salvation of the humanity as you have mentioned.

None of this this suggest that Levi actually knew Eren would do what he eventually did. Levi is many things but he isn’t psychic, lol, he’s just a good judge of character. His ability to read people so accurately is one of the reasons why Erwin trusted him and valued his opinion so much.

At least that’s how I see it… there’s more things I probably should have mentioned but this is already getting way too long 😅

Definitely, Levi's ability to peg Eren was pretty amazing. Nobody else seemed aware of just what Eren was (including the readers). This monster of will, this person who would struggle and strain against any sort of restraint or cage one tried to place him in. Of course, for the SC, that would be considered a huge boon to their cause, someone able to turn into a titan and who's personality was indomitable. I think Levi's great insight into people comes from his compassion. He's able to see things from other people's perspectives, to genuinely look at things from another's point of view. That's really a rare gift. So he knows when someone is good, and when someone is bad. He had Eren down cold. He could see he was a monster from the start, not because of his ability to turn into a titan, but because of his refusal to yield to anything, no matter what. Of course Levi couldn't have known what that would mean, or what Eren's ultimate goal would be. At the time, all he knew was that Eren was on their side and that his strength was needed to win the struggle against titans.

And absolutely, his ability to see through to who people really are is a big part of why Erwin trusted in him so explicitly. I think Erwin even mentions in one of those side stories that Levi understands people's true natures better than anyone else. It's also part of why I think Erwin trusted Levi with his own, secret motivation, in the end. Maybe he thought, if I tell this to Levi, and Levi still believes in me, maybe that means I'm not irredeemable. And of course, in the end, Levi did still believe in Erwin. I think Levi saw the goodness in Erwin even when Erwin could no longer see it in himself.

Titans: Season 4 - Ep7 & Ep8 - Thoughts

Okay, now that I have watched the episodes multiple times (actually just the good bits tehe), I have overall thoughts and I thought I would share them!

I’m gonna try and focus on the stuff non dickkory related buuut if you catch me slipping, soz. I have always been very vocal about my priorities in this show and they are in the main three.

Episode 7: Caul’s Folly

The bit at the beginning where they like said bye to Jinx, I found kinda sweet. I still feel like she is going to pop up again. I don’t feel like she is proper dead... Maybe I am wrong but I haven’t seen anything to say the actress wasn’t returning for part 2 or anything. I would personally prefer if they kept her dead moreso cos I don’t feel she has any more of a part to play in the rest of it but yeah. At first, I didn’t think they were even gonna mention her and then Rachel did and I was like lmao okay cool. Glad that was cleared up. XD

Honestly, they’ve done such a good job of getting the vibe of bonkers cult for the Church of Blood like it’s so full of whackos but it all feels so believable tbh. I like Sebastian; he’s an interesting character and villain. I’ve always liked the Brother Blood storyline in all media forms through the years and this is no different.

I AM MISSING GAR TERRIBLY ALREADY. I proper felt his absence and I HATED IT. Like I get it, we’re gonna be getting a whole ep for my boy but like I miss his cute little face. Gar woulda been a mood if he was in the town with them. GOD. I can’t wait to see him again soon.

In addition to that, it was cool to see Mercy again. I was surprised since I don’t think anything had mentioned her making an appearance. Still hate her character but it was a cool little moment.

MY GOD. The whole interaction with Roberta was my absolute favourite. When she like inhaled Kory, I was cracking up and I peeped Dick’s smiling eyes ever so slightly when she did it. Hilarious. I loved it and I loved Roberta. 

I really REALLY love the clothing department for all the outfits but... my baby girl. Every outfit was a slay. OH! AND THE FUCKING JACKET!! IT SAYS WE <3 GAR AND OBVS THATS A NUDGE TO THE ICONIC SHIRT?? I really adored that little easter egg to the comics. Muchos appreciated.

I LOVE TIM AND BERNARD. They’re little idiots trying to figure shit out and I’m a sap for it tbh. AND GUUURL, they gots their own motel scene. I was like Yaaas TIM, go get your boo. I really like their relationship tbf. I was smiling through like all their scenes, especially at the motel.

Dick getting the shit kicked out of him in the police station made me physically wince; the fight-acting was amazeballs but ugh my boy, I was like bro, you’re getting fucked up. I get he obviously does not have the Nightwing suit with him but dang man, you got knocked about like a ragdoll.

I like the pace in this first episode; it brought me straight back into the flow and action of the season rather than acting as filler bs, at least I felt.

Episode 8: Dick & Carol & Ted & Kory

This episode killed me dead because of the dickkory; I just wanna get that out straight away cos... my god. It was glorious. These thoughts will be including DK cos how can I not; half the episode was them.

That frickin bedroom scene... them freaking and then Kory being like did we sleep together? And Dick is like NO. No? It was so funny; I was cackling. The comedic and the seriousness and the romance as well... it all worked surprisingly very well? Like it felt in the middle of chaos but it works?? I loved this episode more than maybe any other episode in the show. 

THE WEDDING RINGSSS. I just wanna say, they got changed. They didn’t need to keep them on. Maybe yes because they’re keeping up the appearances but PLS they both looked real comfy with wedding rings js. Some of the shots also really felt like they were intentionally showing them off. Maybe I was imagining it but some of the shots felt very pointed. Loved it.

Their outfits. THE OUTFITS. Barbieland could never. I just... they were so opposite to Dick and Kory but they looked so fucking cute. I wanted to die. It was the best thing ever. 

OH! THE MUSIC IN BOTH EPISODES FUCKING SLAPPED. The town knows how to do a playlist, ite? I was vibing for a lot of the time to the point I had to rewind bits cos I wasn’t paying attention. 

The scene with Sebastian cutting Rachel had me raging. Like, bitch lemme cut you and see what you think. Step away from my GURL. 

The scene where Dick has bought the recorders... I found Kory hilarious with her ‘Peak daddy bullshit’ line but aw, omg I felt bad for Dick like his poor face he was like, I’m just trying to save us :( It’s rare Kory proper loses her shit with him so I was like oh, this is not nice. I got her but also like he trying. 

Inhale... guys... them recording their memories... Kory’s had me sad. Anna’s voice was so sad like it was great. 

In addition to that... my poor heart when Dick came downstairs and Kory had turned into Carol like full pelt... I was like noooo. His face is like no.... no no no. Brenton does Dick’s facial expression just so damn well. 

POOR CAROL!KORY. She was so fragile all like oh im sorry, did I do something wrong. And, I really love how Dick went from yelling at her cos boy is frightened and frustrated but then softens and is like no, it’s not your fault, its mine. And yes, I adored the hand holding and promising not to leave her, even if it was her Carol self. But, I agree with others on that; Dick’s face was sad cos he knows its not Kory doing it.

KORY HEARING WHAT DICK SAID ON THE TAPE AHHHHHHHH. Im so mad tho. Like he loved her since season 1 what the actual fuck man. Which, actually makes sense why he backed off in s2 and s3 cos like Kory was the one who put it out there about them figuring themselves out before they attempted anything romantic so maybe Dick took that as she wasn’t into it as well as like the not going to San Fran with them? Which makes me sadder. Like giving her space and time but really being like i luv you Kory. UGH. IM SICK.

The radio room was grim; Dick just walking around in these blood pipes like its nothing like even Rachel was like gross dude. Dick just walks out after like nah its fine; I’m covered in some randos blood but its all good.

TEHE the last bit where Kory says about it not being the painful memories. He 10000% now knows she listened to his tape and knows he loves her. Like pls.

HI!!!!! Phantom is literally going to go kerblooey if there is any more studying done tonight so I'm gonna talk about toh for a lil bit.

UHHHHH I don't really have many thoughts nor are they coherent but I will do what I do best and talk. Under the cut bc its probably gonna be spoilers

Ok so this has turned into me ranting about world building and character design more than the actual plot of the story itself. Sorry I'm a writer.

anyhoo my first order of business is one of my favorite favorite things about the animation in the owl house is the fact that there is a lot of variety in the way the characters blush. Like this was such an innocuous thing to notice that I somehow did. And I realize I don't think I've EVER seen that in another animated show.

like Hunter blushes to his ears (which was the main reason I noticed that bc I realized that no other character's ears get all red like his does)

Amity blushes with her entire face and Luz blushes just the bridge of her nose and cheeks. Like that's such a small detail but I am so obsessed with it because it's so cool and it's something I've never seen before.

ironically enough, I think that the first thing that dissuaded me from watching the Owl house before I watched it was that I wasn't a big of a fan of the surface level animation style but I do really really like the animation now that I've watched it, and the designs for creatures are so so so SO cool like I kjhkb,mxbn UGH.

Belos' monster design thingy idk that's just so cool just the way he looks and how he's animated is so intimidating and I think it's crazy cool. And I think it's also really creative which is a thing that I love a lot about this type of casual slightly modern fantasy is just the way that things are translated from modern real life into the world which is something that can often be done really awkwardly.

The ravens and the scrolls things are really cool and I like that, I also like the added thing of social media which isn't usually something I like in shows and stuff but I thought that was really neat.

SORRY THE THOUGHT TRAIN SWERVED THE WHOLE WORLD BUILDING THAT THEY'RE LIVING ON THE DEAD BODY OF A TITAN IS SO COOL I LOVE THAT. In the world of one of my new stories that I've just started working on, it's sort of similar to that in the way that people on the surface live off of the bodies of dead gods like living inside them and feasting on the flesh and stuff like using the dead gods all the way through (in a way that people from the floating islands would think is sacrilegious). I didn't really get that from the owl house because I just noticed that connection right now but GOD THATS SO COOL. I hhh *fans face*

The way magic works is also super cool and like honestly, I think the coven system is also really cool, not the whole having to only chose one magic track part of it but the different sections of magic that you can do. Like all the different types is really cool to me and I don't really consume much fantasy media of this type with heavy reliance on magic systems but this is one of my favorite magic systems.

I think the bard magic is really cool and GOD THE GLYPHS THATS SO COOL THE WAY THAT WORKS. Like it's such a wonderful mix of just hjkljhflkjhjbnvclkjhlskufg. I think it's very cleaver the way that they did that, especially with the glyphs and stuff being hidden around in nature. That's something that's very very cool and also very smart. Like in my mind, in the way my mind works that makes incredible sense. Like enough sense that you could tell me that in real life and I'd be like (yeah sure). It's like molecule shapes and stuff idfk.

Also the harpy Eda (is that what they called it I remember them calling it that) in season 2 was GOD so cool, just the way she looked in that form was so awesomely designed. Also just the whole Owl Lady thing, listen I am a sucker for wings and bird like characters (I would have more feathered winged OCs if feathered wings weren't a pain in my behind to draw). Eda is feathery and sharp with claws and teeth and by god is she so incredibly cool.

Ok I'm going back to hunter because I've been thinking about him all day, I think the fact that he has a tooth gap is really neat, I don't recall seeing that often in characters and I think it's really neat. He looks very disheveled all the time, especially in the later episodes of the season where he is literally one inconvenience away from a panic attack at every moment. But he really just LOOKS like a mussed up kid.

Also I believe that witch ears, they are pointy, they can flick and move and you can pry those headcanons out of my cold dead hands for all I care. I think they deserve to move like that. (I assume you know how I write Gillion, I love those kind of small motions like ears flicking and stuff like that)

also x2 I really like King's design as well, the whole skull for head thing is so cool to me and it's something that I really really like in design. I've had characters like that and I've had characters that wear skull masks and I don't think I will ever tire of characters like that. Even the titan hunters who even though it was just a costume I thought their outfits looked really cool and also really awesome how all the skulls and stuff were different and unique. It's just so charming to me and so cute how King looks with his skull and his horns, it's just one of those character design things that I really really love.

Ok I'm done for now I need to stop before this goes on for like way longer than it needs to. I don't think I have said a word about any of the plot or lore that happened. I have been rambling about world building and character design for a good half an hour that it's taken me to type out this response. Oops.

…and I just finished Ducktales! Here are some semi-random notes on episodes roughly in order:

1. Okay, i’ll admit I am a little sick of kids’ shows always feeling obliged to stick a Real Santa in, but Ducktales did it perfectly. Super appreciate that they even made Santa a contemporary of Scrooge, because what could be more fitting or accurate?

2. The last Fenton episode was great, poor tiny anxious Huey. And Fenton was not faring much better but at least he had a girlfriend to show for it. Also, Mark Beaks acting like a stalker with a crush towards Gizmoduck, which is peak Beaks right there. And I loooove that Huey brought in Louie to lie for him, and didn’t even think to tell him about Fenton! Lol Dewey knew because he was right there when Gizmoduck debuted, Huey figured it out quickly when Gizmoduck was in front of him fighting crime, and Louie never even had a scene with Fenton or Gizmoduck until that moment did he? L O L.

3. I am still a little bit salty that the Talespin episode didn’t even mention Launchpad, but i get why now, it was all about following in the footsteps of the mentors and there really wasn’t room for Launchpad. I will just politely headcanon that Stunt Pilot Molly Cunningham is friendly rivals with Launchpad’s sister. And maybe that Della got home and promptly told Launchpad he is no longer the worst pilot she’s ever met.

4. I’m impressed how many flashbacks they crammed into The Life and Crimes of Scrooge McDuck! And also, Poe! I don’t think even 1987 Ducktales ever gave us Person Poe. Aw how cool. I feel pretty bad for Magica with that story. Scrooge really was a bit of a dick to her, and I’m glad that’s the one he owned up and took responsibility for. As an Animorphs fan, you really do not want to accidentally lose a loved one in bird form. Birds have short short lives.

5. THE FINALE.

A. Definitely felt like we suddenly hit fast forward and had to cram a ton in at crazy speeds, but Ducktales pulled it off!

B. I cannot BELIEVE they crammed a gargoyles reference in there too, Frank Angones you madman. With the addition of Keith David this truly was the correct thing to watch after I finished Community s6. It was practically the same cast!

C. Impeccable division of teams, so that everybody went up against the appropriate villain, teams were logical, and banter was beautiful

D. DARKWING AND GIZMODUCK AND LAUNCHPAD. OMG. I still would like to have approximately twelve seasons worth of bantering between Darkwing and Gizmoduck, and Fenton and Drake, and all combinations in between. Launchpad is everybody’s sidekick, EXCEPT WHEN HE PUTS ON THE GIZMO SUIT AND GETS TO SHINE. AWWWW LAUNCHPAD.

E. Okay I’m going to ramble about Launchpad some more for just a minute here. First, Launchpad’s subconscious has been struggling to tell everyone this intel the whole time??? And without his double-o mission they would have been stuck at square one?!? HOORAY LAUNCHPAD HELPED! Also, who is the first character to say “isn’t family the greatest adventure of all?” or most of it at least, that’s right, Launchpad! He is the HEART and I love him and I am very proud of him.

F. Back to Fenton and Drake, I am now going to assume that both of my suggested scenarios happened. Fenton had a long day and said something like “ugh, don’t even talk to me about Gizmoduck!”, then Drake took that as his cue to start griping about Gizmoduck, and Fenton just awkwardly agreed to be polite at first, and Drake was like “haha, yes! He clearly hates Gizmoduck too! My new buddy!” Also, I find it hilarious that Darkwing refuses to consider the possibility that Fenton is Gizmoduck, possibly because he likes Fenton too much? Which is great. I loved the classic versions getting on each other’s nerves every which way in Tiff of the Titans, but this is an extremely lovable dynamic as well. Especially that Fenton got frustrated enough to try to just tell him. These guys are terrible at secret identities, and yet still Fenton somehow managed to have one from Drake, and from Louie. Somehow.

G. Hooray, I finally know the thing about Webby properly! And yes, there was a TON of foreshadowing and themes about nature vs nurture all over the place throughout this show, omg! Especially as other clones we have seen on the show were (usually?) exact duplicates, while there is no question that Webby is fully her own person, despite having clear streaks of Scrooge in her. Which, to be fair, also could have just come from growing up around him! I wish there was more time to get to know May and June, and I love the way Beakley just kinda… bluescreened and went off on her own over Webby.

H. Seeing Scrooge and Donald and Della together in action was glorious. Surely we saw it before, can’t remember, buuuuut still glorious.

I. also aaaaaaaa Huey’s woodchucking skills saving the day, the parallel with the villain coming together nicely

J. and all the kids getting to shine too!

Okay, I’m sure I forgot a ton of important stuff as I just sat down and started rambling. Now I can look at TVTropes and the whole rest of tumblr and AO3 and everything!

It's my first fic so don't mind any mistakes loves~♡

For a lil' intro i'm doing a Levi Ackerman x AFAB! Reader, Sick Fic!

"I like you alot"

"Ugh..." you groaned as you rolled over, your face planting into the pillow next to you as the first rays of sun shone blindingly onto your face through the windows.

"Hey, you doin okay down there Y/N?" Sasha asked as she looked down at your form that lay slumped on the pillows, earning a half-hearted grunt from you.

"I don't feel so good Sasha...." you groaned as you felt your throat contract painfully while talking causing your voice to sound hoarse. You struggled to sit up as your body felt as heavy as lead and all your joints felt sore, paired with the tired look on your face you really did feel like shit.

"Well, you really can't stay in today Y/N, it's evaluation. Heichou would have your head and feed it to Hange-san's titans'. " Sasha said as she gave an apologetic look while leaping down from the bunk above you.

"Ugh... I know..." you gave another groan as you made the effort of moving yourself to get washed up and ready, dragging yourself into your uniform, already feeling it scratch irritatingly at your hot skin.

*time skip*

Your standing in line now with Annie on your left and Sasha munching on some bread on your right. Soon enough Levi walked in, his stature screaming every bit the 'Ackerman' in his blood.

All the cadets were asked to move to the training grounds. Once there, evaluation began.

Evaluation is based on fighting and stamina between cadets and thus they were paired, Jean and Connie, Eren and Annie and you were paired with Ymir.

You were trying hard to focus on parring with Ymir although your body flat out turned against you, you pushed yourself to parr against her knowing if you didn't, you could land a punishment.

But despite your efforts you still ended up going down. You got light headed mid punch as you slowed down giving way to Ymir who landed a punch on your gut knocking you down.

"CADET Y/N L/N! HAVEN'T YOU BEEN PRACTICING!" Levi yelled as he marched over, his form towering above yours as you tried your hardest to get up from the ground, "AS PUNISHMENT, CLEAN MY OFFICE NOW!" He gave another yell as he roughly pulled you up to your feet and dragged you through the halls to his office, as he pushed you inside.

*time skip*

You were scrubbing the floors right now thankfully as you were on your hands and knees so you had a sense of gravity and could stabilise yourself, it was the bookshelves that you dreaded, the fact that you had to stand up while dusting and the added height of standing on a ladder, it was indeed scary. But you had to do it so, as slow as you can you moved, and you could feel Levi's eyes following you sharply, making sure you don't miss a spot. You already start feeling the light sway of dizziness hit you as you as you got up from the floor too fast. You managed to not stumble and started to get onto the short step ladder carrying the bucket and washcloth in one hand while the other hand supported yourself on the ladder, when you started to get light headed again.

"Oi...Y/N..."

You could hear Levi's voice behind you but it seemed sort of like a haze, and you felt yourself swaying, and then it felt like slow motion as you lost your footing and fell backward your eye losing focus as you fell and you shut your eyes bracing for impact. The last thing you remembered before your eyes shut were a pair of strong hands catching you and a very familiar voice calling out your name before everything went black.

Your eyes slowly opened, as you gained focus you realized you were staring back into a pair of steel gray eyes.

"Y/N...." he breathed out, his face inches from yours, features laced with concern as he cupped your face in his hands.

"Heichou..." you muttered out, voice still pretty hoarse, as he helped you sit up on the bed to which you now realized it was Levi's room, the smell of cleanly washed sheets and tea creeped into your senses calming you.

"Levi... please. Just call me Levi" he whispered, "you have a fever...Y/N"

"Yea, i figured" you gave a slight grin as you coughed,

"Shh.. don't speak. I'll be right back" he said as he softly got up and left the room.

As he left you decided to look around. His room was fairly neat wuth minimal decor and polished surfaces everywhere. 'Pretty' you thought, still pretty shook that 'the' Levi Ackerman was acting so soft with you.

Soon Levi returned, this time holding a tray with a steaming cup of tea and some meds. He slowly placed it on the bedside table as he handed you the meds and as you put them in your mouth he gave you the teacup soon after,

'Mmm green tea' you thought as you you sipped lightly from the cup, it's warmth spreading throughout your body and making you feel so much better.

You lowered the cup as you met his eyes a pair of E/C eyes staring into steel gray ones,

"Why?" You asked, "why're you being so kind to me?"

He let out a soft breath as he averted his eyes from yours, his hand reached up to stroke the back of his neck, your eyes widened as you saw what could only be described as a blush on his normally stoic face.

"I- I like you..Y/N...alot.." he said quietly, "You wrre always the one cadet that caught my eye, apart from that suicidal maniac Eren of course" he saud as he muttered out the last part in annoyance making you slightly laugh.

He smiled upon hearing hearing your laugh, and that smile just widened even more as you replied,

"I like you too, Levi" you said smilingly, "I like you alot"

-What Levi said to Erwin: “I have a long list of things to tell you.” What I read: “Bitch u not gonna believe dis shit.”

-”Sasha? You haven’t eaten anything. Are you okay...?” This is legit the most verbally caring Mikasa has ever been.

-”About as well as a swarm of cicadas pissing on it.” ASJSDF L E V I!

-It’s not just Historia, look at how much bb Armin has grown, I’m getting teary-eyed.

-Er. I don’t feel comfortable getting the chills with Kenny the Ripper’s dreams and self-reflection, thank you very much, goodbye.

-Yesss, Historia hit Levi, go Historia go!! Thank you for this moment, this is funny, thank you.

-Is. Is Levi smiling and thanking them. SMILING. Can we end this here? Wrap up the manga? And they all lived happily ever after?

-Oh, two months passed with no incident! Hooray!

-Dun dun dunnn. Who and when will Levi choose to turn into a Titan.

-I need Eren to... I don’t know. I need him to find his strength. Get emotionally stronger. Or get emotionally wrecked even, but get SOMETHING. He’s been wavering every which way for a while now. If he were hardcore haunted and broken, fine. If he were hardcore resolute and fiery, that would be fine. Currently, he’s a little bit of a everything, and I need him to become something, have a stronger inclination towards something. Literally everyone else shines -for good or bad reasons, that doesn’t matter as long as they shine as characters.

-(after seeing a spoiler-free Genshin VAs-related post) No shit, Daisuke Ono voices Erwin?!?! For real?!?! That’s the voice I’ve been giving him in my head, omggggg

-I read something on a random online article once, on which manga benefit from their anime and which work better as manga. It mentioned AoT, but I cannot, CANNOT remember if it said it undoubtedly works better in anime form because of scope and action, or if it undoubtedly works better in manga because the anime can’t deliver the scope and action. All this to say that I wonder if I’ll actually like the anime as much as the manga. I am certain I’ll cry at hearing the characters’ voices and seeing them ~in the flesh, but on the visual side of things... I wonder.

-Show us those fangs lurking beneath those eyes, Eren! Show us! It’s been a while!

-Ugh, it’s so sweet to see the Yeager family origins.

-The “Night of the Battle to Retake the Wall” is so nostalgic, I love it. It’s so nice to see Jean and Eren bicker for silliness.

-”If you keep acting suicidal, I’m gonna kill you!!” And at that moment, I became Jean.

-Yeah, that’s it, what Armin said. Eren looks like he got his energy back in this chapter, keep it up little bb.

-Yes, Eren’s “We’ll bring them back” to Mikasa’s question if they can go back to the old days, YES, that’s Eren, that’s so Eren, you’re reclaiming yourself bb, go  you!

-This conversation of Armin, Eren and Mikasa about going to the sea will be so painful one day, I can just feel it. Eren’s not gonna die soon, so I’m getting worried for Armin. I hope I’m wrong. Please let me be wrong. 

-If they kidnap Eren again, I’m gonna kick something, just saying.

-We’re hyping Armin a little too much, I’m worried. That said, I’m living for Erwin giving authority to Armin.

-You know what I really love. The detail of the windswept hair depending on people’s direction of movement.

-Aaand now I’m worried for Levi if he’s supposed to kill the Beast Titan, ehe.

-This battle really does feel like the end of something.

-Levi forbids them to die, my heart.

-Part of me is calculating death probabilities based on whose past we’ve explored the most. Right now it’s Erwin, just saying.

-What is this random panel of Levi in the rain in Erwin’s monologue, what is it!

-War Chief Zeke! We have a name!

-I’ve often wondered if we might be in the wrong, if things will prove waaaay more grey and we’re just gung-ho anti-Titan because of lack of information, but... with Bertolt outright saying “We want all of humanity inside the walls to be wiped out,” well, I don’t think there’s any forgiving that.

-Jean is on Titan Eren’s shoulder and he’s holding on to a lock of Eren’s hair - Armin is in super danger right now, but this visual makes me happy.
