My main boiis are so broken and fucked up. Astor and Pierre keep smiling because they'll break down if they don't while Niss and Vox are just doing whatever they have to to survive. Vox smiles a lot more but it's only when the cameras are on or Alastors around cause he can't let anyone see how busted he is

-Astor was made to be a ragdoll that Alastor could control and use for Intel he wasn't meant to think for himself and wound up realizing he was a person with his own thoughts and feelings and has to learn to navigate a life knowing he is a mistake and how to control himself and understand how the world works.

He has dysmorphia because he went through the process of being mistaken for Alastor and being called Alastors clone. He hates his face but can't change it because it's the only face he knows so he changes everything else so he can be anyone but Alastor. He hates Alastor because he made him and he owns him and he doesn't get a choice but he loves Alastor because he's the closest thing he can get to a parent and he doesn't know anything else.

-Pierre was alive during the French/German War when Germany cut off the city of Paris and left everyone to starve to prove a point. People were left to eat anything they could find/get their hands on so as not to starve to death and Pierre died after that only to drop into Hell where it is a constant war zone and a constant fight to survive

Grew up as an intersex child in the mid 1800s. He was lucky he wasn't mutilated by some doctor that wanted to fix him. He was raised a male because males were always seen as better. He was an orphan that was bought as a child to do labor because the guy needed someone to take care of the house and kids without paying someone for it. He learned quick he was meant to be a yes man, anything that was asked of him was a yes or it was a threat with the streets.

-Arackniss was abused by his father and became just like him as a defense mechanism because it's easier to be angry and closed off then get close to people. Survived the market crash and prohibition and the countless people he had to take care of in his father's name trying to keep the blood off his brothers hands but it didn't work. Lost his mother and brother but one thing remained consistent in his life- Henroins abuse

-Vox is abused and just as abusive because he doesn't want to seem weak or useless so to save face. He is all about that gaslight gatekeep life! manipulate everything and remember to smile cause it's all for show and he's definitely having a great time getting his face busted cause he gets a few hits in himself.

Sometimes you can't beat them and so you join them because it's harder to quit them before he met Valentino he wasn't a great guy but he wasn't nearly as fucked up mentally as he is now. He manipulated people and didn't care about others but now he's more distant and spiteful and goes into self destructive spirals and Manic episodes because he needs to prove something and get back at everyone. He has no faith or trust or pixie dust for anyone that comes near him but he can put on a show and he can pretend

Thinking about possible Vox and Angel's interactions and how they'd go down. Theres such a unique mix of hatred to each other and common ground with their different experiences with Valentino, has me thinking.

Was hesitant to post this here because... idk, I'm paranoid, but I decided that my paranoia is stupid and I should just post it anyway because why not. I'm trying to be more active on here, anyways.

Anyway I made this nearly a month ago because I saw some people saying Vox canonically owned an Alastor body pillow. No idea if that's true and I don't really care enough to look it up, but regardless I decided I needed to draw him and Val as this meme. It was too perfect. (So perfect in fact that I saw another piece of fanart with them as this meme earlier, which is what reminded me I made this).
