Geometric reflections

I'm drawn towards the simplicity of the images and how Siemer has manipulated the image by cropping the landscape into geometrical shapes. Despite the simplicity, it is still effective in conveying the feeling of a 'New and Unusual Reality' through manipulating 'expected perceptions of space'.

Furthermore, there is a quiet and tranquil element to her images which perhaps feels eerie and lonely at times. Siemer states that her works are inspired by her personal 'ennui, existential crisis and heartbreak'. I think that works evoking a specific feeling is intriguing as the viewer not only sees the image, but feels the image.
