i think its funny that my ship with sans (regular sans, that is, since hes my favorite guy forever) is also the only selfship with sans thats, like, normal and good. i only have self inserts for 2 aus (read: the only ones i care about even a little) and theyre both very objectively fucked
#horrortale is like codependency issues supreme and underfell is……. whatever the hell those two have going on#whatevers going on in my uf selfship is most definitely an unhealthy thing but its funny so its ok#were somehow covering every single quadrant there is simultaneously. like just all of em at once#yes were red yes were black yes were pale im sure SOMEONE fits into the ashen one as well#also i feel like i needa mention my two selfship aus arent like. actual ships?#idk how to explain it but like its not like i ship myself with underfell sans as in me my regular self#im my au ships i make my s/i match everyone else. like theyre just part of the au#idk if that makes sense but if it doesnt ummmmm well explodes#cherry chats#anyway i was just thinking about my au ships and i think its funny that both of them are objectivelt bad relationships at least a bit#but like its funny. so its all good#horrortale is codependency issues to the fucking max also were both a little (a lot) messed up in the head#yes it gets better with time. but i find early relationship stories more fun so it doesnt even matter#and underfell is just so…….. *gestures vaguely but angrily nevertheless*#thats like codependency coupled with abandonment issues coupled with MAJOR like i mean UNBELIEVABLE communication issues#once again. thats also shit that gets better way way into our relationship but thats not as FUN#so u know. shoutout to regular sans for aside from being the love of my life also being the only sans selfship thats actually. like. health#kfjdgsjsgahdkagfjdkotjfksbskflldgsmfh

I don’t understand us
Tumblr media
This is part two to “I’m confused about us” tho it can be read alone,
Tags: fem!reader oral(f) receiving, spanking as punishment, crying reader, no real spoilers to the show, mean!billy, no use of y/n (I can’t do it! 😭) also this is kinda short but I’m writing two other stories rn. (Also this is not proofread)hope yall enjoy!
I’m still… confused about us. You thought as the cowboy bellow you ate you out like a starving man. But as good as it felt you couldn’t help thinking about how much your ass hurt since he had just smacked the shit out of it.
Your relationship with Billy made you torn. One second he was absolutely mean to you, pulling you over his knee for doing literally nothing. didn’t fold your panties? that did it. Didn’t do your homework right? That did it. Cussing when you stumped your toe? That fucking did it,
Sometimes it made you mad how he acted “is he not man enough to just ask me to be with him?” You thought, no he’s probably the manliest man I know. Than what is it?
Knock knock knock.
You heard as Billy hit your door, he usually just opens it but yesterday he walked in on you changing, he blushed so hard, you laughed thinking about that moment. Yes? You said as you opened your door. I’ve got to go out tomorrow so I won’t be back till early morning. You sighed internally. Billy was always going out at random times. But I guess that’s better than him having a real job and being gone every day.
The first time he went out he told you
“Don’t even think about sneaking out because I will know about it” he said dominantly. You laughed it off thinking there was no way he could actually find out about it. You didn’t go far. You actually just went down to the edge of the fence like 10ft from the house and pet the horses. Sometimes you wonder why the horses were always coming and going. Never seeing the same one more than twice usually.
But of course, the minute he got home he came up to your room. Hey when did you get back- you tried to ask but were cut off.
As he grabbed your face, not harshly enough to hurt you but it wasn’t pleasant. Why can’t you just listen?! He said with a bite in his tone.
I told you to stay inside. But no. only good girls listen. Your a bad one. ain’t cha? He said, letting go of your face. His words brought tears to your eyes. While your still defiantly a ‘’brat’’ as billy calls it. Sometimes your just not in the mood to have someone upset with you.
You sigh. Looking him in the eyes. Billy I-ugh its not a big deal. I was basically 5 ft from the house.you said sighing. Not a big deal? Little girl.
I decide what’s a big deal or not. He said darkly. And I say you disobeyed me. And since you did that you earned your self a good longgg spanking. He said with a condescending smile on his face.
I- billy your so damn mean, you said slightly pouting. Mean? Oh honey, ill show you mean. He said in a scary dark tone.
And boy did he. He made you sob over his lap by using your hairbrush. When you first started crying you heard him laughing. Above you. Is this his idea of fun? Making me cry? You asked yourself. The thought of it made you mad. So you rebelliously kicked your feet, something you had never done before. This… did not make things better for you. He just started smacking your ass a bit harder.
When it was finally over he gently picked you up and put you on your bed. You were still sobbing because your bottom hurt. And you were still upset billy had laughed at you. The whole spanking thing was embarrassing enough without him laughing at you. (you were also incredibly wet)
You had turned away from him as he sat on your bed. Usually billy tried to console you a little bit. Even though he wasn’t very good at it.
But you shrugged his hand off when he placed it on your shoulder. Stop that honey. He said in a much sweeter tone than before.
No go away. you said ,your voice muffled by the fact that you had your face shoved in your pillow. Sweetheart non of this would happen if you would just obey me. I shouldn’t hav to obey you! You said shooting up from your spot on the bed. You don lemme do nothing. You said with a slight lisp in your voice from crying so hard. I- I can’t even go outside. You said in a whisper. Ugh honey. Everything I do is to protect you. I’m not exactly a loved man around these parts, and I and can’t have anyone thinking they should use you to get to me. Ok? He asked.
You sighed, ok .you agreed. But quickly turned back over into the pillow giving the illusion you were still upset at him.
Now girl. He said in a laughing tone. What is it gon take for you to forgive me?
And that’s how we ended up here. With you grinding your face down on his nose like there’s no tomorrow. He didn’t mind, he defiantly didn’t mind
But you still didn’t understand your relationship. Some nights he had his face buried deep in your cunt, and sometimes he scolded you like a child or yanked you over his knee if you upset him. I don’t understand us. But oh well.
Ok that’s part two! I really like writing for billy but I really want to write for my true love. ✨Finnick✨ I’ve been in love with his character since we first saw him. Tho I write him kinda ooc and like to go a darker route so be prepared for that lol. But comment if y’all want anything else to be added into the next part. Love y’all! #-lanawrites<3

Are Tim and Cass Cain actually close in canon? Or is that more of a fanon thing that gained canon status?
Alright, so the tldr answer is that yes pre-reboot they were close—but it wasn't something that happened immediately/right off the bat, it took time, and they didn't always perfectly see eye-to-eye. But like, it's not just some totally fanon thing, they were absolutely close.
I'm using past-tense in the above though because it's like... all the actual content with them becoming/being close is pre-reboot. Anything post-reboot with them either had them back at square one (during N52 stuff) or like, just sort of handwavey 'oh they're close again' without much actual elaboration/explanation. Theoretically nowadays everything's canon again so all the old stuff applies, but as far as I'm aware nothing has really dug all that deep back into the two of them/their dynamic.
Now, to give a brief crash course on Tim & Cass's relationship in canon...
Early on they weren’t all that close because Tim was absolutely intimidated by her & her background and like, in general seemed to just find her kinda off-putting:
Tumblr media
(Robin (1993) #73)
However Tim eventually gets over himself & after working side-by-side with her a little bit realizes he shouldn't let being intimidated by her stop them from being friends and working together:
Tumblr media
(Batgirl (2000) #18)
After this point they work together on several occasions, definitely communicating much better than in their initial appearances together and clearly getting along well. They're a fun lil duo:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Superman/Batman Vol. 1 #5, Superboy Vol. 4 #85)
Then… after a while, War Games happens. Gotham goes to shit, Steph dies (well, we nowadays know she didn't really, but they sure were both grieving) and so they both independently move to Blüdhaven, which leads us to the Robin/Batgirl: Fresh Blood crossover. Which has some fun little moments with them:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Batgirl (2000) #58)
As well as some on the more tense side, as they both navigate mourning Steph and the clashes in their ideologies/approaches to hero work—the fact that Cass wants to be & be like Batman, and the fact that Tim absolutely does not:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Batgirl (2000) #59)
After the crossover they mostly do their own thing staying out of each other's ways in Blüdhaven—though they do get another little story together in this timeframe in Batman Allies: Secret Files & Origins that sort of rehashes the above conflict during some training together & a team-up.
And we DO also get the cute (and oft-mentioned by the fandom) moment where Tim mentions she frequently breaks into his house to shower & steal rice krispies (just for clarity sake, while fandom almost exclusively calls her 'Cass' largely to avoid confusion with Cassandra 'Cassie' Sandsmark, within the comics themselves both Cassandras get called 'Cass' and 'Cassie' at various points—considering Cass is the one who lives in the same city as Tim at this point in canon, that's definitely who he's talking about here)
Tumblr media
(Robin (1993) #138)
So like, at this point they are absolutely comfortable with one another and pretty close, but just, they don't see eye-to-eye on everything so it's not some flawless friendship (and I say friendship specifically because at this point we're still a few years out from them actually becoming siblings). But it's absolutely an interesting dynamic!
Then… after Infinite Crisis we get to the One Year Later/OYL era which is... bad for Cass. Terrible horrible character assassination we all refer to as the 'Evil Cass arc' which began in Tim's book. I don't wanna pull panels from it because it's just... it's bad!!!!!!!!!!!! There's a reason it got retconned into Cass having been brainwashed—because it was bad.
I guess the only thing worth bringing up here in relation to Tim & Cass's relationship though (because as mentioned, Cass gets retconned into it having been brainwashing so anything from her in this era is irrelevant/moot) is the fact that Tim was obviously very upset about the whole situation because Cass is someone he cares about and he even says he considers family.
To fast forward through that mess, when we get to the end of it and the 'oh it was brainwashing haha!' retcon, Tim was the one to have on hand a counter-serum that could free her from Deathstroke's control:
Tumblr media
(Teen Titans Vol. 3 #44)
Once Cass is no longer forced to be evil and ooc, she gets a little mini at the end of which Bruce formally offers to adopt her (and Tim, who had earlier been adopted by Bruce, is present for this—so from this point on they go from a more general 'we're like family' to actually 'we are adopted siblings').
Buuuut then Final Crisis & Battle for the Cowl both occur and Cass gets extremely pushed aside by DC, giving up the Batgirl mantle to Steph and heading off to Hong Kong.
At which point we find out that Tim & Cass have actually kept in contact (just... off-panel) during this time when she's been out of Gotham and he's been off doing all sorts of stuff:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Red Robin #17)
When they see each other in person again, Tim urges her to be a Bat again. Maybe not Batgirl if that's not what she wants, but to wear the symbol and be part of the family. (Which she does take him up on, keeping the suit he brought her and becoming Black Bat).
She pops up again at the end of Red Robin to save Tim & also help him pull off a fake assassination attempt on himself—ya know standard stuff.
And then right before the reboot we get to see them working alongside Damian and Dick in Gates of Gotham, and see one final time that yeah—these two have kept in touch after everything, and are definitely far more on one another's wavelength nowadays than they were back in the 'fresh out of War Games' era:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Batman: Gates of Gotham #2, #5)
So like, does fanon over exaggerate them and their relationship? Aaaaabsolutely—that’s what fanon does. But they did definitely become close after everything they went through and had a fun dynamic together!
Sadly though, as I mentioned at the start of the post, the n52 wiped everything back to a clean slate. And while nowadays post-Infinite Frontier everyone’s histories have been restored their dynamic has never really been the same again.

DYNASTY
This story was inspired by A4F Tales' (@talesfromunderthemattress ) story Parental Unit. Consider this an unofficial sequel of sorts.
Kevin was driving. He almost always insisted on driving if it was the both of us. Now as I looked over at my older brother, I was glad he was behind the wheel since it gave me a chance to scope him out. Even now, after 8 years of being married, at least in our minds, I never got sick of looking at him. His hairline was receding but if anything that made his solid coach bod even better looking, kind of the best of both worlds, being a 31 year old dude starting to rock the daddy look a little.
"You think Dad hit the bars tonight?" I asked. Still feeling the glow of date night and the buzz of the extra glass of wine I had because I wasn't driving.
Kevin's normally serious expression turned into a slight laugh of a grin. "Probably bro. You know how he's alwasy going on about not getting enough pussy."
I chuckled and puffed out my chest like Dad as I imitated him. "What you boys have going on is great and all... but I'm 50/50, you know," I said in my best Craig Stansell baritone.
Kevin laughed. "Whatever it takes, babe," he said, looking away from the road quickly to flash me a grin. "Besides, the old man's almost 60. Let him have his pride."
"58 and a very fine 58," I chimed in. "You think we ever push him too much?"
My husband seemed to think that over a second. "Not really, no. If anything, maybe not enough." He patted my thigh. "If he found another woman, you know, settled down again... would you be upset, Kyle?"
I didn't have to think of my answer. "Selfishly, yes. But I want him to be happy bro, you know that."
"I do too, of course," Kevin continued, thinking out loud as he turned into our subdivision, where we'd been shacking up as brothers ever since I moved down to Florida to work under him in the college football program he coached. "I just think, you know, he's kind of what makes our relationship work so well."
I'd thought of that too. Kevin and I had both given up our asses to each other, many times, and would gladly continue to do so. But we both preferred topping and all around loved the rush of fucking a man. "We'd make it work regardless, Kevin," I objected. "But I know what you mean."
He nodded and held up his left hand after he turned toward our street. "It was fun wearing our bands when we go out."
"Fun's an understatement," I growled softly. It had been a nice romantic evening, but my big brother was gonna get me hard, fast. "Wish we could do it more."
"It's risky," Kevin said, lust in his voice. "But we'll have to find a way."
The Florida air was warm and muggy. That's the one thing I'd never get used to, but beyond that this was paradise. Maybe because it's a place Dad could take an early retirement to and not bat an eye, living in an in-law addition behind our place.
"Hey guys," our father said, peeling his eyes off a Ravens-Steelers game on TV. Ever since coaching college ball, Kev and I relished our Sunday days off, and had grown less interested in following the NFL religiously. But Dad was still sports obsessed and maybe missed his own coaching days, more than a little. "How was date night?"
Kevin casually patted Dad's meaty shoulder through the man's T-shirt. It still blew my mind how casually our father had sussed out me and Kevin's sexual relationship, early on and how he not only didn't seem to mind but actually covered for us. Only later did I discover he'd fooled around with our Uncle Rick growing up.
"Great," my older brother said, looking over at me with a wink. "Nice to have some one-on-one time with my special man."
Dad grumbled. "You boys should take your special time any goddamn time you want. Forget I'm here if you have to. You guys are married, and just because you asked me..."
"All right, Dad," Kevin laughed, holding up his hands like he was 17 and being delivered another lecture. "Me and me husband are gonna go to our bedroom and have hot date night sex, OK?"
Dad got a big grin on his gruffly handsome mug. Unlike Kevin he still had his full head of hair though it was almost entirely gray now and maybe not as thick as it once was. "That's more like it."
Kevin patted his shoulder and turned to walk back to our room. I knew he was horny from our conversation, and since yesterday was game day and as usual we didn't usually get around to sex, my brother was undoubtedly feeling as backed up as I was. "Good night, Dad," he said.
"Good night," I said to my father, only leaning in for a quick peck of a kiss. On the lips. "You OK on your own tonight, Dad?" I asked.
"Son... if you don't get back there quick, your brother's gonna have some major blue balls," he joked.
I about asked about his blue balls, but instead just took the hint. "All right, Dad. Have a good one."
Kevin was already naked when I got to the master bedroom. I liked stripping for him as he watched and stroked his fat brother bone. "Jack is doing a great job with you," he said, referring to the strength and conditioning coach for the team. Even if I wasn't a player, I took advantage of the man's expertise and encouragement. While Kevin had a naturally medium-build coach bod, I was getting more jacked, almost like a tight end. The more I did, the more my husband loved it.
"Remind me to thank him," I grinned, stepping forward naked to the bed.
We were both horny but we also loved the physicality of making out before swapping blow jobs.
I took my big brother's dick into my mouth, slowly working him up. "Damn, suck me KS," he urged, using my initials as a pet name ever since we first fooled around, back in the day. "Suck your big brother." Those words never failed to turn me on. I blew him with longer deeper mouth strokes, using my hands to feel his hairy balls and hold his prick. Kevin was in shape, but that coach-bod padding felt real nice and softly furred against my forehead as I managed a deep throat.
"FUCK!" my husband grunted, holding me down playfully on to his hairier crotch. "You're too good to me, man." He let up on his grip and I started bobbing again, trying to work him to a good, heavy cum.
Only as Kev was getting too close, he pulled me off, gently pushing my head back once his thick prick cleared my wet lips. "Let me return the favor, bro."
I nodded and I knelt on the bed, letting my older brother lean forward and start licking me. "God, I love date night," he hissed before he bagan taking me into his mouth."
It was hot, very hot, watching my successful head coach of a brother go down on me, his masculine face getting an intent look as he did his best to blow me. It had taken a few years actually to convince my cocky brother to actually go down on me. Now, he took oral service as a serious job, as much dedicated work as studying game tape. You'd think that approach would be a turn off, but instead it drove me wild to see Kevin treat my pleasure like his biggest mission in life.
I could have let him get me off, but something was on my mind.
"Think we should invite Dad back, bro?"
I thought Kevin might be pissed off or at least bark his usual reminder that it was date night. Instead he pulled off my hard dick and slurped back the excess spit before he nodded, "Go get him."
I leapt up like an excited puppy and strutted into the living room, naked and hard. Dad was still watching the game, and I startled him when I put both hands on his shoulders and gave a gentle squeeze. "Feel like joining us?" I asked simply.
He looked up and his eyes went wide when he realized my nakedness. Kevin wasn't the only one into my new jacked-up body. "Don't want to spoil your date night, Kyle," he said softly.
"When did you ever spoil anything, Dad?" I asked. "But it's up to you. We'd love to have you with us tonight."
He nodded, and god I could tell he was horny for it. "If you're sure."
"Sure I'm sure," I said. I gave a reminder. "But it's the master bedroom."
We had a ritual about this. Turns out Dad was on board, as always. "I want that," he said quietly but confidently.
I appeared first, and Kevin was already lubing up his cock, confident Dad would come in too.
"Hey Dad."
It wasn't Kevin who said that but our father, who was stepping out from behind me and peeling off his T-shirt. His 58 year old frame had always been muscular, an ex-jock's build, but since moving to join us in Florida, he'd kept at the weights hard to stay solid. He was very much a silver muscle daddy, tanned and buff, though with the telltale roughness in his skin from a man that age.
"Pop says you guys want me to join you," our father added, getting into the psychodrama we'd honed over the years. One that played out not every night but at least once a week.
"Come on, son," Kevin said, patting the mattress and scooting to make a spare spot. "We love having you in our bed."
Dad never played favorites, but when we did role reversal like this, Kevin was Dad and I was Pop and that just intensified the bond he had with his eldest. I watched as Dad scooted next to my brother-husband, letting Kevin take the lead to claim a kiss as Dad's furry muscle daddy body almost arched like a cat in Kevin's greedy embrace.
I never got sick of watching those two men kiss. It was romantic and sexual at the same time, in equal parts.
It turned me on to see how much our father loved it. His old man had been a legendary football coach, and after a number of threesomes Kevin and I sussed out that Dad had some giant-sized Daddy Issues of his own. A little role play and pushing the envelope and we settled in on this.
Dad was our son only when joining us in the master bedroom, but we embraced it so heavily that for that time it felt real to us. Real to Kevin, real to me, and real to our dad.
For his part, Kevin outright loved playing Dad to our father. As hot as the sex was between me and my brother, this brought out his more assertive side.
Already he was making his way down Dad's silver-furred body, kissing down that mature muscle and nudging our father's legs up and back. Dad complied. "Oh yes, Dad," he hissed. "Eat out my son hole."
He got into it, into that intimate connection between my brother's tongue and his sphincter, gently loosened from Kev's and my regular fucks. "God, Pop, I love you guys," he hissed as I lay next to him. And like that, me and my father were kissing. Deep, tongues battling, sucking the air from one another.
We got lost in that incest kiss. Me being daddy for my father and both of us loving that head-fuck. Either we made out longer than I expected, or Kevin was real impatient that night. Before I knew it, Dad pulled back and turned to look at Kevin who was holding our father's legs and entering him with that heavy brother cock of his.
"God, yeah," Dad said. "Dick me, Dad. I need it so bad, sir."
The S word was like poppers to Kevin. He growled and plowed right in. The first time he'd taken Dad like that I was pissed off and a little worried. But turns out Dad loved it. Even if that ex-NFL-er cock softened at the rough intrusion, Dad was always back to full hardness quickly.
That's how it played out now. I watched excitedly as the dick that made me steadily got its lead hardness again. I slicked my father's prick up with lube and slowly stroked while Kevin pounded him with harder faster stokes.
"Fuck, son," my coach brother hissed, throwing that beefy body into an athletic performance. Even if I preferred to top more than bottom these days, just watching my husband in rut made my vers side rare up and crave Kevin inside me. We'd have to see how long I'd go before making that a reality.
"Fuck me Dad!" our father bellowed, getting real into it, his hips bucking a little to work his cock in my lubed fist and to meet the fantasy patriarch's thrusts. "Use my hole, sir."
Kevin's face scrunched up and I knew immediately he was coming. One of those sudden, no warning orgasm. His normally confident voice became a succession of whimpers as he ejaculated deep and heavy inside our father.
"Hell yes," our dad his, excited to be bred.
I was horny as hell now. Impatiently, I got up and practically pushed Kevin out of the way. "Fuck 'im babe," he growled, placing his meaty paw on my strong shoulder. I looked down and saw his amazing prick wet with fresh cum. The view of Dad's asshole was better. Legs spread wide, our father showed off the now fucked-open hole and the incestuous creampie oozing out.
I'd never done this before, though it had been on my mind. At that moment, horniness overcame any hesitation I had. I leaned down and started licking Dad's pucker.
"Oh SHIT, Bro!" Kevin exclaimed. I didn't have to see to know my brother's softening prick surged right back into a hard watching me felch on his load. It was evident in my brother's voice.
Dad actually chuckled at how nasty I was being. But didn't care. I licked deeper now, rooting for a stronger taste of Kev's cum. I figured if I was gonna have my first felch experience, I'd go all the way.
Dad helped me out, by pushing out a good bit of Kevin's load. That familiar brother-husband flavor filled my mouth, and it drove me wild to realize just how much he'd cum.
"Oh fuck!" I growled as I pulled back, my throat half clogged with that assload. I rushed as I got into the saddle. I hoped to god Kev's fuck was foreplay enough for Dad, because I was coming in. My entry was rougher and more sudden than Kevin's had been.
"Yeah, Pop," Dad hissed. No softening cock this time, my father's meat twitched in its hardness as I boned him.
The dad-son mating was fevered. Dad clenching at my body and me doing my best Kevin Stansell topping imitation. As I fucked Dad and as Dad called me Pop with every other stroke, I imagined doing this to my father over the years, as the man entered his 60s, and even his 70s...
The idea almost tripped my trigger but I held off so Dad could cum. I didn't want to leave the old man high and dry. So I slowed my strokes and tried to work his butt nut. "Yes," he hissed, getting into the new rhythm. It wasn't a Kevin imitation, but a Kyle Stansell fuck.
My brother had actually gone to piss, like he always does after a good fuck. I guess I'd forgotten about him, because I was surprised to feel his hands on my mind and his kiss along my neck. "You're beautiful to watch Babe," he whispered. Instinctively I leaned back into that kiss and embrace, even as I had to slow my fuck down to a slow hump.
It took me a second to register how greasy Kevin's lubed cock was and how adeptly it was rooting in between my tight-end-worthy ass cheeks. "Whaddya say, bro?" he grunted, licking and nibbling at my ear lobe.
I wanted it. God, I wanted. "Yeah," I replied, and all of a sudden I was the center of attention. Dad's eyes on me, hungry but amused at watching me take my brother's cock. Kevin feeling me up to coax me to relax.
My man knew he had to take his time. And it had been a solid four months since he'd fucked me. I was tight as fuck.
But something about that situation was opening me up. Slowly, then more steadily I felt Kevin's thick tool plowing in. Challenging me to accept all of him.
"He's big isn't he, Pop?" Dad asked.
I looked down in my father's brown eyes. "Feels even bigger going in," I answered.
"It's gonna make you feel amazing, Pop," Dad said with sincerity. "Always does."
Kevin loved being talked up like that, and he now thrust more excitedly into me. It was intense but in a good way. Particularly once Dad's ass started clenching down on my own cock, buried deep inside him. My father was stroking his meat once more and sending shock waves to my bone in the process.
I wouldn't saw we had a practiced rhythm doing a fuck sandwich, but we alternated between Kevin driving things and me being the one to move my hips between these two men.
Dad came first. The excitement of watching his two sons fuck combined with the stimulation in his ass.
"Fuck son!" Kevin exclaimed, watching over my shoulder as heavy spurts of semen spurted from our father's reddened cock. "Give it up, stud."
Just hearing those role play words in my ear got me off. I grunted in orgasm, wordlessly but my body tensing and revealing that I'd crossed the line in a major way.
Kevin's hips were now bucking faster, almost frantic in the guy's realization he had a brief window to get off in me before I lost the sex-fueled openness in my ass.
He made it, barely. My brother-husband's strong hands gripped my waist as he powered his second cum of the night inside me. Making up for no-sex Game Day. I accepted his seed, proud that I'd done this, put out for my man.
My brother gave a soft kiss to the back of my neck and slowly pulled out.
This was always the hardest part of the role play. Not going back to our real-life family roles. But we'd learned to keep it going. Wordlessly, we showered off, first me and Dad in the shower, before I stepped out and let Kevin join him.
"You going to sleep with us tonight, Son?" I asked as I toweled off and watched them rinse under the spray.
Dad looked over at Kevin, maybe expectantly but mostly trying to read his reaction. Kev patted Dad's ass. "Up you, son, but your dads would love to have you join us."
It was wild to see the mature man, a pro-ball veteran and a coaching legend in his own right, act like a deferential college kid with us. He smiled and his dick chubbed out a little as he nodded.
I thought I was spent, but my own prick firmed up at the sight. All the way to full erection. Kevin laughed. He'd cum twice and his beautifully thick prick hung soft, water dripping off.
"Gotta warn ya, Son," my brother said. "Us coaches can be real horny bastards sometimes."
Dad chuckled and I watched as he slipped out of Kevin's embrace and dripping wet, stepped onto the bath mat before crouching in front of me in that classic blow job kneeling position.
"Wouldn't have it any other way, Dad.... Pop..." Then looking up at me he took my son-prick into my mouth.

Palm tree, daffodil, and cactus for the Ask Game!
(The villain question, the sibling question, and the “what are you currently learning about” question)
palm tree ⇢ do you have a fictional villain you shouldn’t like but love regardless?
Oh boy. Not technically fictional, but in his fictional representation — Ecbert from Vikings. He’s so compelling and his motivations and intensity is like that of a Shakespearean villain. I mean, just look at his monologue to Jesus in the church. It takes my breath away every time. Even without context.
youtube
I also find the real actual story of the real actual man to be fascinating. In general, I find early Anglo-Saxon era British history fascinating.
daffodil ⇢ do you have siblings? if yes, in what ways do you think you’re similar to or different from them?
I do! But none by blood. @will-write-for-food is my sister, who I met in high school. I also have a friend (it feels weird calling her a friend tbh. She’s just my sister) who I’ve had since I was 4 and she was five. She’s also biologically an “only child,” but that made our bond even stronger. Nobody but an only child understands how fucking boring summers are if you’re an only child like another only child. Several years in a row we lived together by force. I would sleep over at her house until her mom needed a break and then she would send us both back and to my parents and on and on we’d go. I was maid of honor at her wedding. I’m aunt to her children.
As for similarities: both my sisters and I are motivated by love and family and kindness and are naturally rebellious in a dangerous way. We can all be snarky and we are all funny as fuck. But we never wanted to do drugs or go out and do any of the dangerous things you saw teens do in movies. We all care deeply about making the world better and believe in the value of choosing kindness and love any time you have the chance—even if it means gritting your teeth and clenching your fist while doing so. But also, we would all fear the fucking world apart if you hurt anyone we love. We also never abandon our friends to prioritize romance. We all value friendship as its own distinct type of love and relationship that isn’t less important than anything else.
For my Since-Pre-k sister, we are really quite different people. She leans more conservative (not in a terrible way though) whereas I’m very leftist. She is extremely romance driven in a way that @will-write-for-food and I are not. Over all, I think she’s a lot more traditional and normative in her life choices than we are, but not in a judgmental way. It’s just how she is. And it doesn’t change any of the things that matter about any of us. @will-write-for-food and I are also much more intellectually motivated than she is. She isn’t dumb though! She’s very smart! She just doesn’t learn things for fun like we do. She goes out and does stuff instead. I value that about her. Whenever I get too in my head she is amazing at shaking me out of it. She’s also not super into politics. She’s very practical.
As for @will-write-for-food and I? Ooooooh boy. There is no way to fully disentangle this. She’s my other half. We are basically the same person. I’m much more optimistic than she is in general. And I’m also soooooooo much more humble. (😉😘) But she is so strong in a way that inspires me. She can keep her head down and keep moving forward in a way that is incomprehensible to me. I’m glad she’s learned to reach out more over the years and know that she doesn’t HAVE TO operate like a one woman emergency crew. But the fact that, when the chips are down, she *CAN?* It’s astounding to witness. She’s also funnier than me. Or anyone. She’s the funniest fucking person in the world. And if you think *I’M* patient?????????? You have all seen NOTHING. You don’t know the meaning of the word patience. None of us do. The word belongs to her.
As for a way I’m different than both of them? Aside from what was already mentioned, I think it’s pretty funny that they are both Irish Catholic with a big, loud Jewish found family.
cactus ⇢ something you’re currently learning (about)?
Interior design. (I got this ask a lot and will give a diff answer every time because I’m always learning a million things)

Since I can't, y'know, shut my mouth, I decided it's better to make a whole ass post about this so thank you @juniperjello for asking.
Here are my Top 13 Destiel Traxx AKA Fic Recs:
And This, Your Living Kiss (M) is a GODSEND I've read this more times than I can count, I even have NerdyNerdenstein's podfic of it saved on my phone, it is that good. It stars poet! Dean relearning his love for the arts and Literature professor! Castiel, whose favorite author just so happens to be Jack Allen (AKA Dean). I also love love loved the family dynamics here, it's all so homey and cozy. The poetry in this is stunning too. Highly recommend this one!
A Thousand Lies (E) follows con artist! Dean on his latest assignment of unraveling rich businessman! Crowley's secrets by playing as his secretary, all the while juggling dates with accountant! Castiel. Except there's more to them than meets the eye, and the plot gets thicker and thicker until you find yourself stuck to your phone for more than 4 hours, hopping from one chapter to the next. Yes that's exactly what happened to me lmao I was hooked, and stories like these where the angel fam are humans are always so fun. I love spotting the parallels and whatnot.
(goldenraeofsun, author of the previous fic, has a ton of fics I highly recommend so if you vibe with their style, go check out their account! I was torn about what to put here between "The Original Apple Pie Latte", "Not the Fire, but the Spark" and this—also I'm pretty sure I have half of their works bookmarked by now 😭)
Forget-Me-Not Blues (E) has all the correct vibes of a classic early 2000s romcom. It's set in Sam and Jessica's wedding, with Dean as the former's best man and Castiel as the latter's. Oh, and did I mention they have history? A particularly roughly-broken high school love story? That they absolutely refuse to acknowledge so now the wedding prep is so full of tension it's choking everybody? Yeah... This is a good one.
An Exercise In 'Worthless' (M) is one of the first destiel fics I've ever read. At that point, I was only on S2 or S3 and had no idea what was happening or who most of the other cast was, but the vibes were immaculate and reading it again as I progressed through the show, it just kept getting better. It's got tattoo artist! Dean whose shop is set up beside Gabriel's cafe (it's called the Physical Graffitea heh). It's got grad student! Castiel attending the same uni as Sam for a niche course in dialects. It's got Dean thinking Cas is more interested than Sam (missing the heart eyes Sam and Gabe are giving each other). It's got family feels!!!!!! as these four idiots live normal, non-supernatural lives!!!!!!!
Kissing Strangers (T/E) is a happy(!!!!!) queer awakening story, wherein Castiel realizes he's not as straight as he thought when he gets kissed by Dean for a social experiment. There's actually three fics in the series, the first one covers The Kiss while the next two are insights on the progress of destiel's relationship. It's really neat, and the author—sharkfish—has a lot of fics I've been reading this past week. (They have a lot of good ace! dean and/or ace! cas fics!!!!!!!!!!)
In Due Time (Dean Winchester is Saved) (T) is not only touching as hell but also mind-blowing. 26-year-old Dean is zapped to the future by an unknown power, and what does he see? Himself, happily settled; married to an angel of the frickin' lord with a son; and his brother, still hunting. THIS FIC IS AN ABSOLUTE GEM!!!! Baby Dean interacting with Cas means So Much to me.
Broadway Musical (T) is, in my humble opinion, an absolute banger and a classic. It's got the fun, lighthearted tone of a romcom and my favorite trope of "they may all be dicks but at least there's no murder" with the angel family. It's a reimagining of the first ever Armageddon: what if, instead of being the Righteous Man himself, Dean was chosen to father the two brothers of old with Jo Harvelle, with the entire Host of angels excitedly chattering about it in heaven. Except the cupid's arrow doesn't sink in, to either Dean or Jo, and they don't fall in love. So good ol' Cas comes down to take matters into his own (awkward) hands.
Sand and Salt (E) continues off of S9 fallen angel! Castiel. The timeline is important to me for two reasons, namely: Kevin and Charlie. Destiel are highlighted at the second half but the first is just Sam, Dean, Kevin, and Charlie helping Cas settle in as a human. They go to a mall to shop and eat and bond and they are so, so precious to me.
Carnival Oasis (E) is a series as well, but it's honestly SO worth it. We have creature! Castiel who eats sin and extremely guilty! Dean who first confessed his sins to Cas as a way to gauge what the fuck he is. But then he kept coming back. They get all gooey and shit here, as they should be. Plus the reveal on Cas' background??? It made me go insane I swear.
Convenient Husbands (E) is honestly just. So good. I've reread it multiple times over the past few weeks and it never gets tiring. This one's about hunter! Dean and Garuda! Castiel forming a marriage bond... Purely for convenience, of course. I'm also obsessed with the set-up of the hunting community in this AU, they got a whole network and base and it's awesome you should definitely read it. (Annie D also has a lot of fics on AO3 that you should check out—I'm very partial to "It's Always the End of the World Somewhere"!!)
This Witch!Cas AU series is based off of probably my most favorite story prompts to ever trend in Tumblr history: it's about witch! Cas who's moved to town after his grandmother's passing. Madame Novak's will is all that everyone's talking about, as it states that Castiel needs to marry to not only inherit the estate but also to keep his magick. Gardener and shopkeeper! Dean finds this tasteless, what with everyone treating Cas like he's just some prize and not, y'know, a person. Then, Castiel makes an announcement: he ties the key to the estate to his cat's collar, and whoever gets the key may take his hand as well. Everyone scrambles to chase after the surprisingly smart feline... except for Dean, who's slowly warming up to the little guy, and the cat to him in return.
it's brighter now (G/T) is actually a series but!!! It's a babyjackverse like come on, how can you resist that? This speaks for itself and it says all you will ever need in a fic, which is BABY JACK!!!!!!!!!!
conversations between brother & sister (T) is, simply put, criminally short but perfectly encapsulated my ideal ending for Supernatural. It's two fics; the first is about Jack and Emma, and the second is about Jack and Claire. The reason this is here is because I am a firm believer that this deserves more recognition and love and we need more AUs like this. Destiel are so, so tender and sweet but the main focus is, of course, Jack's conflicting feelings. I would leave a hundred thousand kudos on this if I could.

You've known Daryl since you met at the Atlanta camp, but you made your relationship official when things seemed to be settling down at the Prison. You never denied that you found Daryl attractive, nor was it a feeling that appeared overnight, but with everything you were going through and everything you were going through, having a boyfriend was the last thing on your list of needs.
Now you have arrived in Alexandria, after having to leave prison and be separated again, you find a community. A big shelter, where you can start from scratch, with new people, everyone started to adapt, but it took Daryl a few days more, with your help it was easier for him, that and Aaron offered him to repair a motorcycle that was still in pieces, and if he managed to fix it, it would be his.
That motivated Daryl a lot, that and being able to leave whenever he wanted.
The first ride was with you. Excitedly he went to look for you on his new bike offering you to get out of there. Of course you didn't hesitate, Alexandria was fine, but escaping from within its walls from time to time was also a relief.
It has become a routine. When Daryl doesn't have to go out with Aaron to explore, looking for people, you wake up early and head out on the bike, either for a quick ride or to hunt something. You always leave the bike some distance away so that the Walkers don't follow you and you go into the woods or get lost in the streets of an abandoned town. Daryl always takes care of the larger prey while you place small traps for rabbits or birds, even if a Walker falls, better, less problems for the community.
That morning you find a new town. Daryl parks his bike and the two of you split up in search of supplies, the houses are stripped, but sometimes the garbage of some is a treasure for others. You find several clothing stores, you collect in your backpack several clothes that are not torn and some clothes for Judith, you continue walking down the same street and you stop at the entrance of one of the houses, the garage door is closed and that makes you nervous, what would happen if there was a pack of dead people in there and they cornered you? You don't hear anything, but you still approach to investigate.
When you lift the shutter trying to make as much noise as possible to make sure everything is clear, there is nothing there, at least not dead. A workbench, with a bunch of tools, car and motorcycle parts, body paint guns, it's obvious that it was someone's work shop. You bite your lip and your eyes roam all over the place.
"Hey, did you find anything?" You hear Daryl call out behind you and you snap out of your reverie. "Wow, she's beautiful." He says as he sees the bike you kept looking at.
It's beautiful, a deep black color, it's not finished assembling, the parts aren't finished painting, but for the apocalypse there's plenty of material to spare. Daryl looks sideways at you and taps you gently on the shoulder.
"Ya wanna try it out? We could take it to Alexandria." He prompts you, but you feel yourself gasping for breath and shake your head.
"N-no, besides we don't know if it works..."
"We just need to get it running, plus the rest of the parts are here, I could put it back together in a moment." He offers you and walks over to the bike to get it out of where it is.
"No, Daryl, no need, besides we're going with your bike, we don't need another one. The rest could attract Walkers." You insist and he frowns.
"Don't y'know how to ride?" he jokes and you stammer, "Don't worry, we can put some small wheels on it and I'll teach ya how to use it." He laughs at your joke, but you're not amused.
"Screw you, Dixon." You growl "If you like it so much, keep the stupid bike."
You push it with all your might causing it to fall against the racks it was attached to and walk away. Daryl is in shock, but reacts by coming after you, shouting your name for you to wait for him. The problem with riding there together on his bike is that you can't run away from him, but that doesn't mean you're going to talk to him either.
The trip is tense and uncomfortable, Daryl wants to apologize to you, in fact he has done it several times, but you still don't open your mouth. When you reach Alexandria you get off the bike and leave without even looking at him.
"What did I do wrong?" He asks Carol and she sighs.
"Nothing, Daryl, but remember we all have a past, maybe a painful memory...give her time."
Daryl nods, but remains uneasy, nevertheless at night you go back to your bed and hug Daryl, he hugs you back stroking your hair, rocking you in his arms asking for forgiveness again.
You thought everything had been resolved. Several days pass after your dispute and things are fine, you are now nervous about other things, you need to talk to him. You smile when you hear the sound of Daryl's motorcycle engine, you go out to meet him and your smile falters when you see the bike he is on. He smiles at the sight of you and walks towards you.
"G'morning." He greets you.
"What are you doing, Daryl?" You ask feeling the anger come back to you. "Why did you bring...?"
"Because I want us to be able to ride together, each with a bike, it might be fun."
"Daryl, I told you I didn't want to..."
"If y'ain't know how to drive, it doesn't matter, I can teach you."
"Daryl, stop it!" You yell at him and he looks at you with wide eyes. "No, I don't know how to drive, b-but that's not the point, I..."
"What's the matter? You've been strange for days, n... you've never yelled at me like that before..." He mumbles lowering his head. "If it's about the bike, okay, I'll leave it in the garage, sorry if I've been too..."
"The bike isn't the problem, it's just... I'm just scared..." You sigh running life through your hair nervously.
"Afraid why? You've always come with me..."
"I know, but it's different, I... I don't want to hurt it..." You say at last and rest your hands on your belly.
"I wasn't sure..." You explain. "Me period has never been very regular, so I wasn't worried, but..." You stammer.
"Wanna no...?" his question dies as he follows the movement of your hands. "Y... You're..."
"Pregnant." He gasps and pulls your hair back and then rub your chin. "Fuck..." He snaps and you feel your eyes fill with tears, your fear becoming real.
"Daryl, listen to me..."
It was what you feared the most, his reaction, you know Daryl is skeptical on the whole parenting thing, even though he likes taking care of Judith, he's always seemed to be afraid in being a father, in reliving his own childhood and you've always been careful, but as they always say; it always sprinkles before it starts to rain.
"Why didn't tell me?" He ask you.
"I'm gonna be a father." He gasps and walks over to you, holds your face and kisses you intensely.
You gasp against his mouth and your tears roll down your cheeks as you hug him tightly, your heart pounding.
"How did I not notice?" He says caressing your bulging belly.
"We've all put on weight in this time we've been in Alexandria." You joke and he laughs. "I talked to Denise and she gave me a test, but I don't know anything else yet... Jesus says that at Hilltop they have an obstetrician, I'd like him to give me more information..."
"Yeah, yeah, sure, we'll go to Hilltop, but... y'ain't gotta be afraid of it." He says pointing to the bike. "I can teach ya, I won't let anythin' happen to ya."
"I know that..."
"Wouldn't ya like the three of us to go together with the bikes? With our baby..." You can see his eyes sparkle and your heart melts.
"Sounds great, Daryl..." You admit nodding your head in agreement.
"I'll teach ya, it'll be fun, let's give it a try." He says taking you by the hand and you can't help but laugh at his excitement. "Wait, does anyone else know?"
"Only Denise, because of the test she gave me, no one else..."
Daryl nods and rushes into the house, tugging on your hand, you follow him confused, walking hurriedly. In the living room is your group, talking amongst each other, calm and relaxed. Daryl enters the room raising his arms, pulling your arm up out of inertia.
"I'm gonna be a father!" he howls and everyone turns to look at you.
Your cheeks redden violently as everyone turns to you with applause and words of congratulations hugging you. Daryl is overjoyed and proud, you really never expected his response to be so intense. You are thrilled.
A few days later, you are back on the bike. Daryl rides behind you, helping you steer, his hands on the handlebars to keep the bike balanced, you ride it and he tells you when to shift gears with your feet. At first you were reluctant to ride, but Daryl doesn't give up, his hand always resting on your belly and mumbling a little 'sorry' when you brake sharply. At first you thought he was saying it to you, but he was definitely talking to your baby. Which managed to make your heart melt.
"Yer doin' good." He says against your ear. "Yer doin' better and better on yer own."
"Thank you." You smile as you stop in front of Hilltop's huge gate.
Daryl smiles kissing your cheek, lets go of the handlebars and when the gate opens, he rests them on your waist leaving you alone to steer the bike into the community. You have a doctor's appointment and you're both nervous.
Although you have to admit that the driving lessons have paid off.

The End.

I hope you liked it!!
See you in the next stories!!

yakuza 3 (sort of) done! thoughts under the cut cos they got quite long. they're a lot more coherent than my kiwami 2 ones cos i made them along the way rather than in a feverish mess at the end, though ofc they contain spoilers for 3 and ig gaiden??
overall thoughts, it's messy and weird and makes some Choices, but it's not a bad game, and the people who write it off as being shit are, imho, wrong. once i got into it i liked it, it introduced some great characters, had some really fun moments, and i'm gonna miss the morning glory kids (yes even riona).
if you're looking at this like when did you change the difficulty??? the bit where you have to run away from the police at millenium tower, fuck that bit so hard, none of the other chases gave me trouble but that one ughhhhh
also i neglected haruka i'm sorry
the combat is harder and more tedious, and i can see why it puts people off, but i find pulling off the combos and counters way more satisfying as a result. like, i tiger dropped lau ka long to finish that fight and it felt *so* good, way more than ending fights with heat actions or whatever has done in previous games. having said that the blocking oh jesus christ the BLOCKING
it’s the place we get the most on kashiwagi pre-y0 especially kiryu’s opinion of him (including the iconic lines about reimen) so you can’t knock it for that.
rikiya buddy i love you but wtf was that substory with natsumi. actually why is he suddenly a dick in all of his side content???? (i know he’s confrontational and that’s just how he is but idk, smth about how he is in the side content feels different). he’s rude to utabori to his face (despite kiryu repeatedly telling him not to), when he meets natsumi again he’s like yo i kept this necklace why are you in tokyo you don’t fit in here come back to okinawa with me, like ????? she clearly has a life she’s built up there (not a good one, i don’t think, but still) and they might have known each other when they were kids but we never get her side of the story on that, only rikiya’s. idk. it’s one of the first things he says to her, that’s a neon red flag if ever i’ve seen one.
also also during that entire scene in asia, kiryu watches rikiya’s reaction to the dancing the *entire* time. is that a bug of how conversations work or was that a deliberate choice or what
MACK buddy why aren't you in this game more
we had a second majima-no-nii-san! from hamazaki of all people! tho having said that i think he was being sardonic. like, he never says it again, and is generally kind of like that. he’ll use polite forms but he’s never being *polite*. lowkey obsessed with his hand on majima’s shoulder in that scene and what it says about his character and their relationship up to that point and how majima has ended up in this kind of position *again*. kiryu leaving - as it always does - fucked so many people over it’s not even funny.
some of the translations bother me. as an english script it’s for the most part pretty coherent and works well enough on its own, but in combination with the japanese it sometimes deviates in ways that change character moments or even just feel weird. like the addition of the puns in the seven mysteries substories is fun, very ace attorney, but sometimes it feels like they step too far (‘getting tight in your britches!’ for ビビった like ???? even ignoring the japanese what is that supposed to meannnnn)
specific moments i was thinking of were the really early line where taichi is like 晩ごはんまだぁ? and they add in an unnecessary ‘i thought curry was supposed to be easy!’ in the english which then undermines later when they all sit down to eat and are like カレーだ! like they didn’t actually know what was for dinner. another one is when kiryu leaves rikiya behind in okinawa and tells haruka that he can’t let him come (in various ways, three times). in the english they shake it up a bit by adding ‘it’s my burden to bear’ WHICH i’ll fully admit flows better and is a very kiryu thing to say but i think it shifts the tone of that scene from worry to responsibility? in a way that doesn’t feel quite right in context of the story as a whole. last one where mine calls kiryu a coward when he’s leaving after showing whatever was left of kanda in that box. again, it flows better and lines up with kiryu’s behaviour in later games but doesn’t feel quite right and i think it changes the point mine was trying to make there. there's also the minefield about how mine expresses his feelings about daigo right at the end. BUT i’m a learner this isn’t my job what do i know. they worked hard and faults aside it’s a fun read and they also had to deal with that fuck-awful section of exposition from the politician so no blame here. it’s not like the other games don’t have this, it just feels especially weird in this one to me.
i loved the little wrestling bit. it’s not perfect but it has the kind of heart and good intentions that makes those sections (and yakuza 3 as a whole) really enjoyable for me.
objectively very funny that the text you get congratulating you on all the revelations is from kaoru, and that she’s like hey your blog was very funny, go see my friend bob utsunomiya for your reward. i know it’s mostly game mechanics to make it make sense but is it not the funniest thing to imagine a. that kaoru knows a bob utsunomiya (how did they meet??? why???) and b. that on her breaks between Mystery Police Stuff she’s refreshing kiryu’s blog like what dumb shit is this idiot up to now asdfghjkl tbf his blog can’t be hard to find, it’s literally ‘day in the life of the dragon of dojima’ it’s a miracle he gets anything done ever with how bad he is at being on the downlow
standing on the morning glory beach, especially in the evening/at night and looking up at the sky while listening to the waves roll in is so calming, the first time i got to do it i stayed there for like ten minutes just chilling
some of the animation is genuinely really really good, like saki’s eyes shaking in fear or kiryu’s cheek twitch when he finds out about morning glory, or mine on finding out daigo's alive. idk how much is the work of the remaster and how much was originally there but i really like it
the last three chapters are such whiplash cos it’s like sad, sad, very sad, bulls! sad, very very sad, sad, jet! thumbs up! sad, sad, ANGRY, there is no change in the plan, sad, sad, on the roof, sad, sad, MACHO, things are gonna be fine! oh wait sad sa- please mr richardson they’re trying to have a moment -d sad sad surprise! murder! surprise! alive! done. you know?
idk if i was just hormonal or emotional but saki calling out to nakahara really got to me for some reason. her first word after years of silence was ‘dad’, and that hit me in a way i wasn’t expecting even tho i knew it was coming.
show us the akimoto/mizuki kiss, cowards
that last section was really fun to play for me (aside from that first little bit going up the first couple of floors of the hospital), the music’s great, the combat had (mostly) good pacing, the fights felt challenging in a good way, yeah i was all for it! reinforced for me how much i like mine as a character and wish we’d got to see more of him (but hey, look, if andre richardson survived the fall...?). like, the moment he realises daigo is still alive - and that he was about to kill the man he love- ahem sorry admired, so much - is seared into my brain.

Hi Maue! Bless you for this account, it’s helped me so much in developing as an artist… sorry for adding onto your already-stuffed askbox, but i was wondering if you could help a little with some character design stuff i’m going over?
If not thats fine👍
but uh if so there’s this family of edwardian anthro dogs i am working on. Robbie was born into the family and married Shelley to keep up appearances, and Shelley married him as she could present as a woman and be greatly elevated in financial status. they adopted susan, and robbie’s in a rather unstable relationship with Some Girl/Guy named ernie…robbie is kinda taking advantage of his status and political importance to do whatever he wants. He is not really a good person and i am kindaaaa poking fun at a few billionaires with his character. shelley is a woman who is rightfully angry at her husband being a awful guy and just wants a normal life while still trying to appease her husband so she doesn’t have to deal with the consequences of getting on the wrong side of royalty, susan’s some strange child who thinks robbie and shelley are cool but sorta starts to realize something’s a bit funky about them. anyways so i was wondering how i’d instill motifs of animals other than dogs in these dogish-creatures that relate to their personality whilst still keeping them a canine species, and also how if you have any tips on conveying info through clothing in character design..or any other thing you think i could change with their designs for the better…
sorry if this was rambly and have a good day👍
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ooh fun! To start with, it’d help to figure out which breed of dog each character is based on and work from there. Once you put a specific name to the appearance you’re looking for, it gets so much easier to find visual references for it. (And yes, visual references will very much be your friends, especially in the early stages of character design.) Judging by these character sheets, we’ll want to link Susan with reptiles and amphibians, Robbie with barn owls, and Shelley with shelled creatures. But first, some general notes:
Tumblr media
I’ll admit I straight up forgot cereal was a thing in the Edwardian era (which covered the period from 1901-1910 for anyone unfamiliar), so the fact that Robbie inherited a cereal company kinda threw me for a loop. But yes, cereal had existed for decades by that point, though based on my research (see above), they didn’t advertise with animal mascots like the owl in Robbie’s ref. A lot of ads just had illustrations of consumers enjoying the food or holding up the package, along with a paragraph or two explaining why this brand is the best choice. (And yeah, I know Cream of Wheat’s not cereal, but it’s breakfast food so I’m counting it.) If you want to be historically accurate, understand that companies back then had very different approaches to branding from how they handle it today.
Speaking of accuracy, I’m no historian but I’m pretty sure Edwardian folks wouldn’t use the terms “asexual” or “transgender” to describe themselves. Not sure if you’ve written these labels into your story’s dialogue, but it’s worth mentioning just in case. Also, I’m not sure what the blue and white flag represents-? I searched all over for it but didn’t get any results. The placement next to the ace flag led me to believe it was some kind of pride thing, but even the more exhaustive lists didn’t include it. Some clarification would be nice.
Robbie’s description says he’s “very gender conforming” yet he squeals when he’s pleased? Wouldn’t that be considered a pretty effeminate thing to do? I’ve never heard of a single “man’s man” who’d (voluntarily) raise his voice to such a high pitch on a regular basis. Just sayin’, you’ll want to be sure your descriptions are consistent. I also did a double take at the fact that he’s nearly a full foot taller than Shaq, but depending on the average height for this species in this time period, it might be easier to buy. (Fyi, the average height for men who turned 18 in the Edwardian era was around 5′4″, and even shorter in previous years.)
Now for the redlines:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Something I noticed consistently in these drawings was a lack of body structure, as if the character’s outlines were drawn first without an understanding of internal volume or how things fit together. There’s also a tendency to draw characters’ eyes on the sides of their heads, as if they’re fish rather than dogs. A carnivorous land mammal would have front-facing eyes that resemble wedges in profile. If the characters have a solid construction, it’ll be easier to build on it when dealing with symbolic motifs and such.
About those motifs, it helps to gather photo reference of whatever you’re trying to represent in the design, and get a sense of the shapes and colors that comprise it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It also really helps to get specific. We already know Robbie’s associated with barn owls, but Shelley and Susan are more open ended. If each of them had to pick one (maybe two) species of amphibian/lizard or shelled creature as their favorite, which would it be? Or, which species most closely resemble their own personalities? Narrowing the field to one or two animals will help focus your research.
The next step is figuring out which elements you want to use, and where. This depends on how subtle or overt you want the symbolism to be.
Tumblr media
Basically, the more cells you check off in a chart like the one above, the more noticeable the symbolism will be. If you want to use only shapes or only colors, or only use symbolism in the accessories and body, for example, you’re free to do so. It’s also important to note that symbolism in certain locations in the design will be more noticeable than in others. Let’s say you wanted to use a crablike orange for Shelley. If you used it to color a small accessory (like her bracelet), the tie-in would be pretty subtle. But if you used it to color her face, the place on a character our eyes are most drawn to, it’d stand out like a neon sign.
There’s a sliding scale of subtlety in individual parts, as well. It’s up to you to decide how closely you want them to resemble the original source. Here’s what happened when I experimented with the doggos’ ears, with the resemblance ranging from subtle to overt:
Tumblr media
It’s all relative to what feels right for the character. Hope this helps!

51, 62 & 69 for keet and yonder!!
All of these were soooo fun tysm
"51. what is the most beautiful thing in the world, for them?"
Keet: She's capable of finding beauty in a lot of things, as an appreciator of art and nature. More than anything, though? Music, particularly the kind that tells a story, whatever its story may be.
Yonder: The answer to this has changed throughout their life. When they were a young adult, they would have said the most beautiful thing in the world was a rainstorm. Now, it's growth where it shouldn't exist, weeds climbing through dry cracks. Also, they're a raven, so shinies.
"62: outside of otherworldly forces, what do they believe in?"
Keet: Loyalty. The value of a group. The power of her own body. Up until recently, the benevolence of the water.
Yonder: Family. The reversal of time and of mistakes. That there is a right way for the world to be, and a wrong way. Themself.
"69. How would they describe their party members?"
Ohhh boy okay.
For Keet:
Hydor (water genasi fighter/paladin): BFF, occasionally with benefits. The similarities between the two of them are hard to miss--both weird feral children from the woods, both wanderers, both tied to the water, both very naive but well-intentioned. It's no wonder they got along immediately. Keet also hasn't forgotten that he was the first to come up to her the day the party met in the tavern, and she's grateful for it. She thinks he has plenty of reason to be way more confident in himself than he is.
Rhea (astral genasi warlock/druid): The coolest person on the planet pretty much, and also one of the most strikingly beautiful. She has a kind of bravery that Keet hasn't really come across before, one that makes Rhea fascinating to her. Leaving a home, especially one that you've basically never left before, is a hard thing for Keet to fathom, and learning that Rhea did exactly that for the sake of her sister really raised Keet's estimation of her very early on. That being said...it's weird to Keet how much she's into reading, and she also thinks Rhea could use a little help being more perceptive and getting accustomed to wild more lmao. Keet is very much willing to help with that though. (Also yes it's gay.)
Zephra (tiefling conduit): The slightly scary face of the party. Keet still feels a little bad for the way that she initially treated Zephra, which is to say she was pretty judgy and kind of cold about Zephra's weird magic and attitude. They've been doing a lot better for awhile, though, and especially after the stress of Alcaeus's temporary death and the way Zephra helped the group through it, she definitely recognizes her value beyond being smart and charming. Keet does still get a little frustrated with her shadiness and willingness to just lie about basically everything.
Alcaeus (human cleric): Oh Alcaeus........there is so damn much I could say about the relationship between these two. During the ritual to bring him back to life, Keet called him "the heart of [the party]," and she meant that. She thinks of him as maybe the primary thing holding the group together, and for that reason, she worries for him, and she thinks that she could've recognized sooner that he needs the kind of support he gives everyone else. In terms of just the two of them specifically it's like. He's her dear friend he might still be mad at her for the military thing he's the ultimate confidant he has the best chance of understanding what she's going through right now he's a cipher that she knows nothing about he's a therapist he's a good country boy he's kind of creepy he's her "twin in the tragedy of loss" he's her brother he hasn't ever leaned on her yet as much as she wants him to.
For Yonder:
Siobhan (human artificer): Crazy bitch (positive). The two of them haven't interacted one-on-one a huge amount yet, but Yonder knows a fellow scientist/investigator when they see one. They both relate to and admire Siobhan's willingness to experiment on herself and others in the name of discovery/creation of new weapons lmao.
Tavien (human [?] rogue): A Child. A really demonstrably fucked up kid, but still a kid. As with a lot of children, Yonder is lowkey a little protective of them, inasmuch as they're capable of being protective of anything (and mostly from a distance). Even if they're a crotchety old bastard now, being a kenku, it wasn't all that long ago that they were a child themself, and they remember how little power a child has over the world that they live in. They're also glad that Tavien is very much down with killing mean assholes lmao.
Ybor (dragonborn paladin): Meatshield tbh. He's the newest addition to the party, and he and Yonder essentially just met, but so far they think that he's a real asset as a Big Beefy Fighter Man and not as much of a fool as he initially seems. Ybor has a kicked puppy vibe that Yonder can get behind quite honestly fhenxhbsgdgd.
Sol (half-elf sorcerer): Moron, but another necessary meatshield. Yonder still hasn't quite forgiven him for causing the nonsense that magically aged them up by 10 years, even though the effect was recently reversed. Right now, they are planning on leaving the possibly cursed discount bag of holding that they got near Sol while he sleeps instead of hanging onto it all night themself. They will feel at least a little bad if something negative happens to Sol as a result though.
Ziva (ghost sorcerer): The only other real adult in the group besides themself, frankly. Yonder probably gets along with her the best out of everyone, both for her relative maturity and for her bookish type of intelligence, which they also have. Since their talk in the Raven Queen's temple in which she opened up to them a little about her missing daughter, Yonder has developed a new sense of empathy for her. It's almost enough to make them feel a little bad for not opening up to her in the same way about their own loss--almost.

WHY DID I FOLLOW THEM?: At the time I was still trying to get mutuals to write with and I think you followed me first after I made my first promo -- i thought Lynn was such an interesting character with lots of potential for shenanigans that Rick and Morty could involve her in !!
DO WE ROLE PLAY?: Not as much as we used to but I guess that's bc life gets in the way fdhsjkfsd
DO I WANT TO ROLE PLAY WITH THEM: yes i do !! always !! i've always enjoyed our interactions and even better just the random plots we've come up with ! tbh i really miss it and we should write together more soon, if we both ever find the time 🥺🥺
AN AU IDEA FOR OUR MUSES: Not an AU bc fuck that i'm bad at coming up with them, but a plot idea where Rick and Lynn go to that same dimension where they first realized that they had feelings for each other. And you know how much i love angst, we could do a bit of a 'it's complicated' relationship arc >:D !!
A SONG FOR OUR MUSES: Just One Yesterday by Fall Out Boy, for reasons xD
DO I SHIP OUR MUSES?: yup yup !! i think Rick and Lynn have an interesting and comfortable relationship where they don't demand too much from each other. and well Morty has learned to trust Lynn. Now it's a completely different story with Riley xD Morty, for obvious reasons, doesn't like her and well, Rick tolerates her fdshjk
WHAT I THINK ABOUT THE MUN: I think you're really cool. We don't talk as much as we used to but that's alright !! You're a really great RP partner and someone who's really fun to talk to !!

Interview with Charlie Cox (BBC drama "Legacy")
BBC - 01 March 2012 (X)
Tumblr media
What attracted you to Legacy and the role of Charles?
What attracted me to the project above anything else was Pete Travis, the director. I’m a big fan of Omagh and Endgame and his style of directing. I’ve always thought that his films are so unique, they cut a fine line between drama and documentary, and they feel very real and very moody in tone. I thought the role of Charles was an interesting one, he finds himself in an interesting dilemma. He joins MI6 and is still in training when he’s brought in to recruit a friend of his who they expect is working for the Russians. This bombshell is dropped on him within the first 20 pages of the scripts, so seeing how he deals with that and how he does his job was really interesting and compelling.
How would you describe him as a person?
He’s quite arrogant. He’s very good at his job and has a huge amount of potential. He’s probably excelled in everything he’s ever done. Prior to MI6 he worked as a bomb disposal expert and was stationed in Belfast, so he’s seen a lot of action and with that comes a certain sort of swagger. He’s raring to get involved and be on the front line of the excitement and importance of what is happening in London at this time.
How does Viktor come back in to Charles’ life and what are the implications of that for Charles?
Viktor was a friend of his at Oxford, where they studied together. Whilst Charles is on the training course at MI6 he’s called in to head office because Viktor has come on to their radar and they recognise that they have someone who could potentially make contact without ringing any alarm bells. So he’s brought in to do that and see what he can find out about him. They want to see if he can use that friendship to gain some knowledge of the Russians and their activities.
The nature of their relationship is that Viktor and Charles are constantly crossing and double crossing one another. What was that like to play?
It’s really fun because you have to find different ways to be duplicitous. Early on we’re pretending that we’re just friends and it’s nice to catch up, but as the relationship and the events unfold in front of us it gets to a point where, even though we’re still pretending, we both know we’re pretending. It’s almost like a double bluff. Eventually everything is revealed and there are no more games to be played. What’s sweet about their relationship is that once that happens you realise that they do care about each other quite a lot. Neither one of them wants the other to be hurt or ruined in anyway. It was quite difficult to act as someone who is putting on an act, because of the different levels. You have to ask yourself, ‘how good of an actor is my character’?’
Are Charles’ motivations personal or political?
The line gets blurred. Initially they are political. Charles is at an age and stage in his life where he finds it difficult not to take things personally. He’s not quite where Hookey, the character played by Simon Russell Beale, is, where he could detach himself from events in order to be able to do his job properly. As the story develops you realise that his family is implicated and involved, so it can’t not be personal. That’s the journey that Charles goes through, by the end of it he’s begun to be numbed by everything that takes place and their consequences so he’ll probably go on to be a much better agent.
Did you do any research in to the Cold War for the role? Was there anything about the period or being a spy in that period that particularly stood out?
Yes I did. I watched quite a few documentaries and looked through a number of books. There was the feeling that at any moment, any day now, the world could end.
What stood out about being a spy in the Cold War is the idea that, especially in Charles’ world, you could be being watched at any minute, every phone call you have is potentially being listened to. Anyone you meet or person you bump in to who you haven’t seen for a long time, you have to question whether that was orchestrated or really was a coincidence.
Did you read the novel before you started filming?
Yes I did. I really enjoyed the book and found it a very interesting read. Certain details have been changed and we changed the character of Charles a little bit, in terms of what kind of person he is and what motivates him.
Is the genre one that you enjoy watching yourself?
It is actually. I watched a lot of things that I hadn’t seen before and really enjoyed them. I watched the original Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy series with Alec Guinness and Richard Burton in The Spy That Came In From The Cold. I also watched a lot of American Cold War films.
Why do you think audiences enjoy espionage thrillers so much?
The nature of espionage, spying and double-crossing and being duplicitous, lends itself very well to drama. There’s an immediate tension. What Pete’s done at the beginning of Legacy is, from the opening credits, I’m being followed. It’s just really good drama.
Was there a scene you particularly enjoyed playing?
I happen to think that Andrew Scott is one of the greatest actors of our generation. I’ve admired his work for so long and when I found out he was going to be in Legacy I was over the moon. So I just loved every scene I had with him. I also loved the scenes with Simon Russell Beale and particularly enjoyed the scene with Tessa Peake Jones, who plays my mum.
What can audiences expect from Legacy?
For those who were around it’s a great reminder of what it was like to live through that, and be in London or any other major European city of that time. The thrill and the drive, will hopefully captivate audiences.

Stress, Inspiration, and Songs...
I don’t know how many of my readers have come across me here, although in all honesty, I know I don’t have as many readers as I once did...and I get it...but I would be lying if I said it didn’t make me a little sad at times lol. It’s my own fault in some ways, I update too slowly for a lot of people but I can’t seem to help that. I am a person who when stressed, seems to shut down in most respects until that stress is resolved and dealt with...which is why the last two chapters of Room to Breathe are still rattling around in my head instead of on my word document...and believe me, it bothers me just as much or more than it does anyone else...but as always, I promise to get it done, and I will as some of that stress seems to be resolving this week, so fingers crossed that these chapters will be finished soon...because then I’m ready to head back to Reflections to do some wedding planning with Johanna and Jim...cake tasting and wedding dress shopping have been in mind...
When I find myself in these times where words don’t come easily, I turn to editing...I’ve been editing Reflections in between chapters for the last few months, cleaning up typos, missing words, reworking awkward sentences or cleaning up little details so they mesh better with later chapters (and stories) where they’ve been fleshed out better as I got to know my characters. I admit it’s fun to go back and comb over the early chapters of Reflections (I’m up to chapter 23 in my editing process) and I thought maybe it would be fun to mention a few songs that inspire certain chapters, not just of Reflections, but other stories as well...so I’m going to start doing that here...and maybe, just maybe, eventually, some little Johanna Verse ficlets will end up here too...but for now, music...
Since Reflections is on my mind (and always close to my heart), let’s take a few songs from there. I love music, I use it in all my stories, and despite growing up in the 90s, I’ve always loved music from all decades...especially the 60s and 70s, and seeing as how Reflections is set in 70s, I have a lot of fun researching songs of that decade that fit into specific moments of Jim and Johanna’s life in the 70s.
The title of Reflections comes from a Diana Ross and the Supremes song called Reflections....the song itself is basically a breakup song but the opening line of the song is what I envisioned this story as: “Through the mirror of my mind, time after time, I see Reflections of you and me...” The song is from 1966, and while not my favorite of the group, it does describe Reflections perfectly with that opening line.
I guess I can’t talk about the music of this story without bringing up Jim and Johanna’s song...the Eagles, Best of My Love. Yes, they fell in love to a breakup song...but it’s always felt right for them, because no matter what those two go through, even when they’re hurting each other, they’re still giving each other the best of their love; and as Jo and Jim have proven through various eras of this verse, the best of their love is always enough to pull them through whatever comes their way.
One of my favorite songs of inspiration for this story isn’t from the 70s...and as I’m editing these chapters, it’s the one on my mind most today and I still love it even if it isn’t an exact fit for the plot. The song is Somewhere With You by Kenny Chesney, and it’s what I named the road trip chapters after. That summer is a time of turmoil for Johanna and Jim takes her on that road trip in effort to give her the freedom and peace she craves...and it ends up being a bit of a turning point in their relationship as they push boundaries and connect even more deeply. There’s something about the melody of that song...a touch of darkness in the back notes, a touch of adrenaline in the faster segments of the song, it just fits with that mood Johanna was feeling at that time.
Lyrics from that song that speak to me during these chapters:
“ Laughing loud on a carnival ride,, Driving around on a Saturday night You made fun of me for singing my song Got a hotel room just to turn you on,
You said pick me up at 3 a.m. You're fighting with your mom again And I'd go, I'd go, I'd go Somewhere with you,”
And these ones:
“Like we did on the beach last summer When the rain came down and we took cover down in your car, out by the pier You laid me down, whispered in my ear I hate my life, hold on to me Ah, if you ever decide to leave Then I'll go, I'll go, I'll go
I can go out every night of the week Can go home with anybody I meet But it's just a temporary high, 'cause when I close my eyes I'm somewhere with you, somewhere with you”
Somewhere with You, despite being out of place decade wise (which is why I didn’t quote lyrics in the title of the chapter) is Johanna and Jim’s theme song for that summer. It’s them, trying to break away from the things hold them down and yet still fighting against what they know...that they’re in love with each other and afraid to do anything about it.
So there’s a few behind the scenes tidbits for the day...I’ll have more soon, and don’t worry, I am trying to get some chapters written!

TC has even MORE WIPs??? Yes.
Because you asked @magefaery
My brain is just story ideas all the way down. Anyway, here are my two brand-new ideas and one that I've been playing with for a while, as well as a tour of my brain and some of the things that I write just for fun.
Putting it under a read more because it got kind of long..........
WIP number 1: a xiania transmigration story where the main character (after dying a fairly early death) wakes up as himself as a kid, the day that he joins his cultivation sect. He’s excited to have the chance to get revenge on the people who caused his death in the first place but things start going different almost immediately. For one thing, he's taken in by a different master. He decides, on a whim, to save the life of his new senior brother who had been kind to him in his first life and had also gotten murdered. He does save him successfully! Only for both of them to die a few weeks later.
And…he wakes up as himself again, on that same first day.
So he gets really stuck in this time loop where every time his senior brother dies, he has to start over (although I might have "save points" throughout the story so he’s not always going back to day one…honestly I haven't decided which I like better yet). Until he finds a way to take down the people who have kept killing them in every lifetime, he won't be able to break them out of the time loop.
Anyway, the subgenre of transmigration where people are reliving their own lives is my absolute favorite and of course I wanted to play with that! But the actual form of the story was inspired by one particular side chapter of 我家大师兄脑子有坑. That chapter was more of an AU along the lines of "LOL wouldn't it be fucked up if this were true" and through my tears I said “yes”. I thought the idea was a lot of fun! I did take mine in a fairly different direction though.
That idea is actually probably close to a year old? These next two ideas are much newer… And by that I mean they're from last week LOL
WIP number 2: about a prince from a relatively large family. He’s actually pretty intelligent and talented at a bunch of things but knows that if his siblings know that it's only going to make them constantly suspicious of him. So he put a lot of work into appearing lazy and/or mediocre at everything that he does. He only has one real friend, who is a member of the royal guard and they hang out sometimes, and the guard also helps him avoid notice from his family. But because he is so "unimportant" he keeps getting used as a political hostage, essentially.
I want him to break out of the royal family and enter the real world, so to speak. I think he's probably going to fake his own death although I haven't decided yet, and I don't know for sure what I want him to do once he gets out. I always start with the characters first and the plot comes later hahahaha
WIP number 3: this is a war drama where the young daughter of a noble or royal family (I haven't decided yet) is given to the general of an enemy army as part of a surrender agreement and at first the general’s just like "cool, free squire" but they end up having a very mother/daughter type relationship.
And here's some older things that I've been playing with for…sometimes a long time? Unsure whether any of these will actually be novels but I do still think about them all.
Two retellings of Swan Lake, one of which is still a tragedy and one of which is extremely me on my bullshit with a lesbian relationship between Odile and Odette from the perspective of Odile. I always thought I should just choose one of them to tell, because clearly I want to tell a version of this story.
A post-apocalyptic fantasy story where the various "royal" families control protected city states while everything outside of them has gone completely to hell and is filled with monsters whose bites/scratches/sting/whatever will pump you absolutely full of twisted wild magic and you either die or turn into one of them. In this universe the main role of knights was killing monsters because they did still need to have contact with other cities and also some supplies only grew in the wild. This one was kind of fun because as much of it as I had written so far was all done without using the letter 'O'. There's no real reason for it, I just thought it sounded fun. The main characters are Elfrieda, a princess who was sent to marry into a different city, and the Knight General Tatiana.
A sort of magical boarding school story where the kids are basically being trained and used as child soldiers. Main characters were Piper and Sunehri who were teenagers at that point and were trying to escape together because Sunehri had been captured and used by the enemy and the leadership of the school was going to execute her for it.
Magical girl story that was actually a "dark" magical girl group and a "light" magical girl group who are set up to act against each other because of a prophecy but, well, a lot of things happen. I just kinda wanted to write a story where the characters associated with the dark were actually kind and welcoming whereas the characters associated with the light were fanatical and overbearing.
I had a political marriage story where the families couldn't agree which son was going to marry which daughter and the daughters got tired of it and decided to get married to each other and that was kind of fun.
And then I have a sort of political one about Lady Liliya who is on the run from political nonsense happening in her own country and ends up finding Etseho who is a "princess" (it has a totally different political situation but I'll use that for now) of the nation that she is currently hiding in. Etseho had given up her political rank after losing her husband and was mostly just really dedicated to killing bandits. The two of them certainly have some times together, Etseho ends up being sort of a mentor to Liliya, and also they fall in love.
I have multiple stories set in the Second Chances universe:
Some of them are interconnected and take place after the main story which are the stories about Bri and Jackson (which has to do with demons and the divine in the far northwest) this also includes Izare and Mahesha's adopted daughter Gailah. Also there's one about Vese and Diego which has to do with happenings in the sort of mid-northwest range. It's farther south than the one above and takes place a little bit afterwards. But the casts of characters do have some connections/interactions.
There is also a story about Yrfan and Tahrir which is the only Second Chances story to take place in the far south of the continent so it doesn't really matter where it falls in the timeline because it has no connection to any of the others. It's basically about Yrfan trying to save the entire region from falling under the control of his abusive ex-boyfriend who is power-hungry and also definitely Not Quite Human anymore.
There's a story about Aubrielle and Taylin & Arvid, Klaus, and Valkan which is just kind of hard to explain? It's basically an AU sequel to an older version of Second Chances which is no longer canon but has a relatively large cast of characters and multiple stories set within it so I still think about it sometimes hahaha
Another one connected to the above is about Daire and Asherah which is kind of very loosely a little mermaid type story? About a sea goddess who kept falling in love with the reincarnation of the same person and eventually decided to give up her divinity so that they could live one mortal lifetime together.
Moving away from Second Chances, there’s Naya's story which is a sort of endlessly repeating mythological cycle where the current incarnation of the spring goddess decides to break everything by willingly becoming the bride of the god of death.
And there's The Heart Of The Sword which was a novel I wrote that was really bad but I still like the characters a lot. The basic premise was that the souls of various heroic weapons had been set aside so that all of these magical weapons could be available again after the apocalypse happened and they were people (similar to Soul Eater). The main characters were the reincarnations of Excalibur and the three Irish lances the Gae Bolg, Gae Assail, and Gae Dearg. Cu Chulainn is my absolute favorite mythological hero after all, it's not like I'm gonna leave his weapon out of something like that LMAO
I also have a story about a knight who became a black knight. She betrayed her kingdom as part of a price she has to pay to a witch who promised to bring her dead lover back to life after the knight had worked for her for a certain amount of time. But you know…witches. Who can trust them? Things don't exactly go the way she thought they would.
I think that that might be everything I have that does not include any of my friends' characters?

my brain is particularly gripped by somsak IDK why but i love him so much and his keytar we need to bring those back. but if you have any brainthoughts about him i'd love to hear them!! also ik the relationship section on his toyhouse page is a wip and idk if that's for like any reason but if you have anything to say about that it'd be cool. smash mouth
SOMSIIIIII honestly he exists in such a weird state because i built him up to be a pretty important character really early on and then my brain got distracted by all the other guys i made up.... i need to think about him more and maybe actually working on his page would help LOL
right now he's kind of just sitting in the story as a weird 'absence' character which i do find fun but yknow it means he doesnt really do much. in my minds eye hes just like cool skater kid from a prog ska band who says swear words all the time. theres more to him but i havent been able to put it into words yet....
rest got long so
honestly the relationships part is probably the most interesting. at least so far. the person he's technically closest to is ulises because she's the one who basically revived him and yknow. she feels this kind of responsibility for him and checks in with him to make sure he's ok. somsak thinks he's too cool to ever confront his emotions and likes to stay aloof but deep down he REALLY appreciates ulises' concern.... i think soms is kind of aware that nobody on the train really likes or respects him and though he knows he kind of does it to himself hes at least glad Someone cares about his existence at all. also thinking about it theyd both bond over music they like the same kind of tunes :+) ulises is like his cool prog rock uncle
he also has this with beatrix. having been the person to save him from falling into fornax. but its to a lesser extent just because beatrix is way sharper and untrusting themself so their relationship basically amounts to like. theyre both walking around the train and see one another. silently walk up to one another maintaining full eye contact. beatrix asks in a jovial yet stilted tone "have you fallen into any more dimensional holes as of late" as like the worlds funniest joke. somsak answers "at least 12" plays a haunting riff on his keytar and runs away. they dont talk for another month
uhhhh next thing doesnt really count as a 'relationship' i just think its an interesting character thing i wanna bring up real quick. demeter doesnt like him because he stirs up memories of míra most unpleasantly. obviously they dont say it aloud and its less of a "why do you get to live when she didnt" thing and more of a "wow every time i look at this guy i wonder how my whole life would've changed if míra had survived too" so its just like. wah. they're cold to him :+(
notably hes friends with freya kind of. they both like to cause mischief and will like. very quickly catch on and support one anothers jokes its like epitome of doing a bit with some stranger and just getting the yes/and in sync completely somehow. sometimes freya finds him very annoying and gets kind of rude but that shit flies over soms head completely and he doesnt care
i think his connection with dalisay also works in a similar manner but unlike freya dalisay speaks far more earnestly and its more of like. bouncing off of a straight man sort of improv between them. somsak just finds hir monotony brilliant honestly
somsak kind of admires olzhas and isel and like. has a weird respect for the both of them LOL he tones himself down around them which baffles olja especially. hes just like hey these guys came to the train and found a better life aboard just like i did!!!! fuck yes!!!!!!! theyre cool im also cool!!!!!! he also thinks theyre both just cool looking. transmasc swag forever
what else. have some quotes about him from like typed up relationship charts i made a few months back. theyre the funniest ones

Blorbo Blursday!
So. Alekto and Narkissos have Top Tier names. 10/10 i love them, i could vocal stim them, i could steal their names even /lh
In honor of that, have any spare content about them to talk about?
Happy Blorbo Blursday!!! :>
Thank you,,,,,,, Alekto and Narkissos are some of my favorites in the cast and I know I'm not subtle about that. I am glad you like them!!!! Especially their names <3
And YES I do have some spare content about them to talk about!! Namely, I can talk a little about some of my original plans, now that I've changed both of these characters a LOT from their OG concepts. Namely... Narkissos used to be a HUGE sack of shit. She still kind of is, but she's gotten better.
I won't go into all of the original ideas for Narkissos b/c honestly a lot of them make me 😬, but just know. Original Narkissos is not a character I would ever be interested in giving any form of redemption because I personally feel like she went too far. New Narkissos gets a redemption arc but also didn't do as Much bad in the first place as the Original Narkissos, so it's not as necessary.
I don't want to spoil All of my plans for this story, but I will share a couple of things under the cut that are from the original plans for Alekto and Narkissos and the relationship between them! Some memes, some concept art, and an excerpt or two from a Narkissos Essay I started writing and ended up abandoning <3
Tumblr media
Okay so here's a sketch I did in like...... the Very Early Days Of CUDAAS when I'd just decided that Alekto would be a protagonist. Iwas listening to Backstabber by Kesha and it made me think of these two, so I whipped this up as fast as I could <3
Essentially the concept is that this would be the moment Alekto finds out Narkissos was the one who essentially ruined their life and caused them to go through an incredibly painful and traumatic experience, all because she was jealous </3
I'm not gonna go into too much detail 'cause I am still keeping some elements from the original storyline, but uhhh Alekto has a different reaction in the new version <3 And also I've since realized that the actual villains of this story are the gods (especially the Mountain King) so even though Narkissos Fucks Up Big Time, his motivations are different and ultimately it's a lot less about personal vengeance against Alekto.
Also this isn't what Narkissos looks like lmao, this was before I properly designed her <3
And here's a meme I made with tupperbot, based on a running joke I used to have with some friends about Hekate tormenting Narkissos via telepathy (since that is one of the only ways Hekate can communicate):
Tumblr media
Was this planned to be an actual scene? Maybe.
Essentially Narkissos's original motivations centered a LOT around him being jealous of Alekto and Hekate and ultimately I decided I just... didn't like that. As fun as it was to joke about it, it didn't make Narkissos a very compelling character to me. I like him much better now as a complicated character struggling with the pressure and duty placed on him who eventually learns that he has worth as a person outside of what he can do for others and how good of a soldier he is for the gods <3
Anyway ok last thing I'll share is an excerpt from the Narkissos Essay I ended up abandoning, which was less of an essay and more a summary of early plans for the first book from Narkissos's POV. This is the scene I like to call "Narkissos gets her ass beat by Alekto and then goes 😳 about it"
Tumblr media
I just realized this was very Narkissos centric whoops-
To make up for that, I will also share the first picrew I made of Alekto when I was first conceptualizing them <3 The skin tone is too light, but I still like this vibe for them otherwise. Might bring back,,, Alekto with a little stubble,,,, that's a Look

(Picrew Link: [here])
And actual last thing I will share. Misc. notes I made about what I think Alekto and Narkissos's voices sound like (I have notes for all the characters' voices, but since this is about these two <3 yeah):
