love the dome this season !! the backgrounds are beautiful. the steps up in production across FH is amazing

her mini is also i think my favorite, the pins on her leather jacket really sell it. minus points for boggy's HUMAN ARMS though, theres a clearer shot later on

fabian time ! love the blanket. bill seacaster art as well ! god hes terrifying. the doodles on the owlbear stickers are cute too

apples bee ! plus some art of cassandra. kristen is in her strong arc, which the world is all the better for. i think its also important to remember that from the start of the series kristen has always had a higher strength score than fabian (ignoring her 4 dex)

ignore the phantom riz mini, the trailer hardly stayed on his intro art for long. which is a shame cause LOOK AT IT !! the kalina picture, fuckin baron, the corn cuties, so much night yorb, bizz in the corner, captain whitclaw, coach daybreak - the man riz shot through the head in cold blood, the bardy boys !! its perfect.

this two headed dragon guy. red dragon can always mean some Kalvaxis callback, but we never know. i DO know that there's a statblock for two headed dragons in Monster Manual Expanded III, so maybe brennan uses that ? or just gives a regular dragon two breath weapons. we will see

ok fair warning: im like 10 chapters away from being done. the ending could be terrible and ruin everything but i doubt it. i know it in my heart, its gonna be great

from what i know from you, i know you like to suffer (same) so this manga is totally for you, but let me give you a list

-the main character is intersex and although the world (fuck you 1400s) is queerphobic, the topic is still handled with respect and depth. it asks interesting questions about gender and identity

-the mc is so emo you dont even know. but not in a cringy way i would say

-toxic gays >:D

-joan of arc is there. as a ghost. pretty cool imo

-the vibes are gothic because of the time period but also the main character himself: he wear black, there are crows, dark forests, etc

-the art is soooooooooo pretty i love it. its so delicate and aggressive when it has to. it has the classic shojo style but when it shines it does really shine

-theres a shit ton of blood and gore (think mcr revenge era kind of gore)

-cool religious imagery and themes/parallels

-it really feels like a journey. not only a political one (cuz historical fiction) but also a personal one. the main character may not get to the right conclusion and it will make you say "nooooooooooooooooo stopppp" but thats the whole point. hes a flawed little man with flawed and sad little thoughts. its really interesting to watch him get what he really wants

-the story really knows how to drag the reader to feel what the characters are feeling. like in the latest chapters i have read i was able to feel so much desperation and panic from the little guys that it made me really sad and i laid on the floor for a bit

-theres always drama and i love it

-theyre not afraid of being really weird sometimes and i love it

-the mc as a child looks like this

thoughts on the colors red, blue, green, and yellow? any comments on the shapes triangle, square, or circle?? rhombus

first of all i gotta tell you that im enjoying this ask twice as much cause i got multiple spam asks since yesterday and did not expect an actual question... anyway. im gonna answer this 200% in earnest, as it should be, obviously (yes i actually did write this out, strap in ig)

red: listen i know everyones favorite color seems to be blue for some reason but red is RIGHT THERE. i heard somewhere that not all languages differentiate the same colors as english (and other european languages), but the first color after light/dark there will be a word for is usually red. idk if thats true but seems plausible, cause yknow whats red? fuckin berries to eat, also blood (either concerning or also to eat, ig). cavepeople knew red was important business. also its pretty and you use it to make pink.

blue: not to imply that blue isnt also good. its got a range. looks very fresh. i do like a teal-ish blue but others are cool also. its really rare in nature ig? but if it does occur its looks rly good! (im saying this rn cause my desktop wallpaper has blue flowers lmao) also if i had a cent for every time i had dreams with intense, seemingly really significant blue night skies, i'd have 2 cents, which isnt much but weird etc etc.

green: ok i like green but, unpopular opinion time, i want neither a green couch nor a green kitchen. i want a pink couch and a blue kitchen. that being said green fucks and is part of some iconic things, such as HES GEEN, and also my favorite song green soop by dooboo, which references the fact that soups can be green (@geminyde)

yellow: finally yellow is super underappreciated. im kinda mad that yellow doesnt suit me super well in clothes cause theres so many cool yellow things id want on a shirt. people only ever think of bright neon yellow but it also had SHADES.

now, the shapes. people at art school will try to convince you that these have some deeper meaning and even a gender (??) cause some guy whose name i forgot claimed they do and thats bs. heres the actual truth about them. triangle pointy. also an instrument! theyre really flexible cause they can have wildly different angles and like?? thats different from squares, which are literally all the same, except for size ig? but thats nice it gives them a sense of stability. theyre ol reliable. ever wonder why they had town squares but never town triangles? well,

anyway the circle is most definitely the princess of shapes. you might think its really basic compared to like uhh a trapezoid or whatever cause you learn about it in kindergarten, but its so fucked up it has ZERO angles?? but then if you wanna render it its got a huge amount of angles/into infinity instead? you can calculate any shapes area with basic maths basically but ohh noo not the circle. its soo special. we love that for him but you gotta be honest.

ngl i had to look up what a rhombus is and its just idk a Raute ig. its a rectangle who wants to be special. which is fine we all need some attention sometime but like, its a rectangle on its side. its doing its own thing. i think it should have a different english name tho tbh. rhombus reminds me of the name rhonda and that has a different vibe. idk if that one was also a question or just an addition tbh but there u go

Would you happen to have any particular resources for learning pixel art?

Theres a funny story story here

So at first all I did was try to draw normally but like, with small squares and seeing how other people did it

aaand it wasnt the best

like, its not the worst but the colors are pretty low contrast and the squares are messy and while its certainly pixels its like, not something id put in a game now

I would reccomend looking up sprite sheets for old pixelated games like pokemon, earthbound or yume nikki, they have simple-er sprite work than, lets say, rpg maker sprite sheets

So, in a crusade for pixel art tutorials to actually get good, I found this video

And I was like Yes!!! This is exactly what I want to make!!

After that Id say you really need to check how other people make sprites and try it by youself

And I dont mean like, exactly the same, just the general shape or anatomy can be enough to learn

Usually when I make a big rooster of characters I try to do a general body shape that can be drawn over many times

Just by trying to do a little guy then erasing until it is a shell of his former self

of course before getting there you gotta just draw, big sprites, tiny sprites, whatever until you get the hang of making a shape

Some people recommend doing the siluette before the drawing but im really bad at that lmao

Also sometimes mixing dark pixels in an area of light pixels looks pretty good, especially in hair linework

But!! I recommend if you want to do big animations try to use a minimalistic color palette and shadows, or else everything will become incredibly painful

for animating try moving the little guy around like a jpeg doll, move around their limbs and stick them together lmao

Also!! use Asesprite, its good

ok so basically i call it Partner!Laurice au and the premise is Larry, after The First Turnabout, is like "ok bro i dont have v much money so to pay you back ill help you out with your lawyer stuff"

so basically theres a lot more maya/larry friendship momence and stuff yeehaw

he also joins edgeworth in the investigations games because gumshoe pretty edgey is his friend too!!!

some notes n stuff

-he isnt ALWAYS with nick/edgeworth, sometimes hes off doing his own thing and runs into them (IE running his weenie stand in turnabout goodbyes and playing the steel samurai in turnabout ablaze

-hes completely absent from recipe for turnabout bc hes off becoming Laurice

-gumshoe was his bi awakening. the crush started after the rescue in Turnabout Samurai and has grown when you see him again in Turnabout Goodbyes

-the most adhd ass mf youll ever meet. same with gumshoe, maya and phoenix they all have adhd cause i said so

-will not hesitate to sass people he doesn't like

-REALLY doesnt like franziska bc she keeps whipping gumshoe and will frequently try to protect gumshoe when he can. he WILL catch that whip

-this au is unfinished bc i havent finished investigations 2 (im on case 4), nor have i seen AJ, DD or SOJ. so so far we have the trilogy, AAI and AAI2 cases 1-3 fully imagined(ish)

-laurice is a massive steel samurai fan like edgey and maya

-besties with kay and ray bc i said so. he also picks up the habit of calling ray "uncle ray"

-despite his airheadedness hes a decent investigator

-can and will ramble about art stuff at any opportunity

-gets REALLY pissed if you mess w his friends bc he loves them /p

It was cold today and cold days meant fires in the wood stove even though the compound had a state of the art heating system and warming floors and individual thermostats in every room.

No, cold days called for cozy blankets and slippered feet, team members huddled together in the recliners with hot chocolate, the wood stove roaring and maaaaaybe even s’mores because hey, a fire was a fire and roasted marshmallows were a necessity.

“Gimme.” A tiny foot lashed out from beneath the pile of blankets on the chair closest the fire and kicked at Clint’s elbow. “Gimme s’mores.” 

“Ladies and gentlemen, let the record show the fierce Black Widow hates being cold.” Clint rubbed his elbow and scowled at the red hair and green eyes peeking out above the heavy quilts. “Make your own s’mores!” 

“I will cut you!” Natasha hissed, and as Sam walked by with another bag of marshmallows he flattened his palm to her head and squashed her down into the blankets, grinning over her offended shriek. 

“Easy does it, Ms. Romanoff. We’re all cold and we all want marshmallows. Wait your turn.” 

Some words that were both Russian and pissed off, and Sam turned wide eyes to Clint. “Alright, maybe we make Nat some s’mores. Damn.” 

“On it.” 

Clint went back to toasting marshmallows, Sam felt around beneath the blankets and dragged a shrieking Natasha out by her ankle to sit on his lap, and the resulting noise drew the rest of the team into the common area. 

First came Bucky, the super soldiers only mildly affected by the weather and sporting long sleeves in contrast to Pepper’s overly fluffy robe and slippers. He scooped the pretty redhead up into his arms and deposited her carefully on the nearest couch, tucked a blanket up over her thighs and got a kiss on the cheek for his efforts, which made the former Winter Soldier’s grin get far too fucking goofy. 

Thor was never cold, but he was wearing a long sleeve cable knit sweater because he knew he looked excellent in it. Bruce was also wearing a long sleeve cable knit sweater that was at least two sizes too big and turned his hands into sweater paws and Clint rolled his eyes a little when Thor picked up Bruce’s paw and pressed it over his own heart, rumbling something sweet and probably sappy to his love. Bruce smiled and turned a little pink and smoothed the fabric down over Thor’s unfairly perky pecs and even Natasha let out a begrudging awwww over the scene. 

Steve made it in after everybody else had already settled, pausing in the door way and straightening the line of his favorite dark blue sweater, surreptitiously glancing down at his new jeans to make sure they were appropriately flattering, and then looking real quick at all the seats to see if Tony was there yet.

"He’s not here!” Sam said loudly, and Steve jumped, turned bright red. “Tony’s not here yet! Stop standing in the doorway and strategically flashing your package and get your ass in here!” 

The team erupted into laughter and Steve fought against a scowl as he stomped in and threw himself into one of the free recliners, snapping open the newspaper and holding it high to hide his blush. 

“Aw, don’t look so sad, Cap.” Clint presented a perfectly toasted s’more to Natasha and then curled into Sam’s side to stay warm, resting his hand on Nat’s thigh and dropping a kiss on Sam’s cheek. “You know how Tony and Colonel Rhodes get when they go on vacation. We’ll be lucky if Tony comes back before New Years at this rate.” 

“Can confirm.” Pepper shifted closer to Bucky on the couch and hooked just their pinkies together. “One year they went to Vegas for Tony’s birthday and I didn’t see him again until the Fourth of July when he flew in from Paris. For the life of me I can’t figure out how a week’s vacation in Vegas turned into a trip overseas, but he spoke solid French for a month. This time they went to Hawaii, so I have no clue when--” 

“A yoo-hoo!” A voice from the entry way, the sound of running feet and less than a minute later Tony came skidding into the living room holding a giant thermos of hot chocolate, wearing a just beaming smile--

--and the single most ridiculous pajamas any of them had ever seen. 

“Uhhhh hey bud.” Bucky was the first to speak, because everyone else was just staring and Pepper had both hands over her mouth so she wouldn’t shriek with laughter. “What-- what’cha got there?” 

“Hot chocolate!” Tony held up the thermos and his smile stretched even wider. “It was cold today so I knew you guys would be down here! I’m ready for s’mores!” 

“Welcome home, Tony.” Natasha elbowed Sam when he snorted a laugh. “Cute jammies.” 

“I know!” Tony set his hot chocolate down and shoved his hands into the pockets. “They have pockets! I got them in the airport!” 

“Adorable!” Thor boomed, and Clint admitted, “Yeah, you look real fucking adorable, Tony. Black and red flannel onesie jammies definitely don’t make you look like a lumberjack groupie.” 

“Definitely not like a lumberjack groupie.” Sam was quick to agree and Bruce pushed his glasses up his nose and sighed, “Oh Tony, you sort of look like a lumberjack groupie.” 

“Jealous.” Tony snarked good naturedly, took a big slurp of his hot chocolate then turned a softer but no less enthusiastic smile towards Steve. “Uh hey. Hey Cap.” 

“Tony.” Steve hadn’t so much as reacted to Tony’s jammies as he had held the newspaper higher to hide his face and gripped it tight enough that the edges were starting to tear between his fingers. “Welcome home.” 

“...thanks.” Tony’s smile dimmed, and the group exchanged uncomfortable looks. “You look good. I like that sweater. Did you get new jeans?” 

“Yes.” Steve stood abruptly, tossed the newspaper away and strode from the room with fists clenched at his sides, jaw set and eyes blazing, practically stomping past Tony and slamming the door to the compound on his way out into the yard. 

“Fuckin’ yikes.” Bucky muttered, and Pepper immediately snapped her fingers, made room on the couch next to her and told Tony, “Come here and tell me about your vacation with Rhodey. How was Hawaii?” 

“No no.” Clint cut in. “No no, I want to know what just happened with Cap and Tony. I thought you were two were just a few steps from canoodling before your vacation. What happened? Why is he mad at you?” 

“I don’t know.” Tony slumped onto the couch next to Pepper and took another sip of his hot chocolate. “We texted almost every day I was out with Rhodey and he said he was looking forward to seeing me when I got home today. I don’t know what happened.” 

“He told me you two kissed right before he left.” Sam said over a mouthful of graham crackers. “True?” 

“Yeah.” Tony’s cheeks turned just lightly pink. “Yeah we did.” 

“Good kiss?” Natasha asked and Bucky chuckled, “It’s Steve, Nat. He kisses like a grandma.” 

“It was a perfectly nice kiss!” Tony defended and Bruce laughed when Thor muttered, “Aye, like a grandmother’s kiss.” 

“I’m sure it’s nothing.” Pepper soothed Tony with a light hand on his knee. “It can be awkward to see someone you like after being apart for a while and Lord knows Steve isn’t exactly great at expressing his feelings. Give him a little bit and I’m sure he’ll come talk to you.” 

“Kay.” Tony pulled the hood of his jammies up over his head and settled back into the comfortable couch. “Catch me up on what happened when I was gone. Also, remind me to show you the picture of Sourpatch in a coconut bra.” 

Pepper started listing off everything that had happened while Tony was on vacation, and while she was mid talking about the latest at Stark Industries, Bucky tapped Tony on the shoulder and whispered, “Don’t think too much about Steve, Tony. He’s real emotionally constipated, but don’t worry, he’ll come around.” 

Tony just smiled and tried hard to ignore the wiggle of uncertainty in his heart. 

Everything was fine. 

Steve would come around.

“Hey, what’s Cap doing?” 

Another cold day later that same week, another gathering around the wood stove and easy conversation, another appearance of Tony’s flannel jammies and another abrupt disappearance by Steve. 

This was the fourth get away in just as many days, Steve basically dropping whatever he was holding and all but running from the room, usually not making an appearance until after breakfast the next day. Any conversation with the Captain dwindled to about nothing, he was skipping movie nights and avoiding meals and any texts or calls to his phone had been met with radio silence. 

The behavior had been noticed by everyone, especially by Tony who had just been getting ready to sit next to Steve with a bowl of popcorn when the blond had bolted from the room, and Natasha swore something furious under her breath when Tony’s entire expression crumbled in confusion. 

“I will cut him!” she snapped and Clint hooked his arm around her waist to keep her from leaving. 

“Maybe we don’t go all stabby on an All American Hero.” he said calmly. “We don’t know what’s going with Steve or why Tony is so sad right now, but I don’t think getting blood on the carpet is the way to find out.” 

“It works with everyone else.” Natasha sniffed and Clint just laughed and kissed her. “I’m just saying, it’s been five days since Tony got home and Steve is making it awkwardly obvious he doesn’t want anything to do with him. If I have to watch Tony go all big eyed and heart broken and hide away in his hoodie one more time I’m going to scream.” 

“Hey, do you guys know what Steve’s doing?” Sam ambled in, had a kiss for his girlfriend and his boyfriend, then inclined his head out the window. “I thought maybe Bruce asked him to chop some wood, but I’m pretty sure that requires ax.” 

“What do you mean it requires a--” Clint’s jaw dropped as he looked out the window. “Wait. What is he doing? Is he-- is he punching logs? That’s not how you chop firewood!” 

“Steve’s punching logs?” Bruce had to stand on his toes to see over Sam’s shoulders. “Oh good lord, look at him go.” 

“Steve!” Sam pushed the window open and whistled sharply for the blond. “Steve! We need actual logs, not just kindling! Take ten to twenty percent off the top there, bud!” 

Steve just looked up and scowled at them, then tore a log in half with his bare hands, chucked the pieces towards the wheelbarrow and kept right on going. 

“That had no business being so sexy.” Natasha muttered, and Clint made an offended noise. “Oh please, Clint. When you can tear logs in half and make your tiddies jump like that, we can revisit the conversation.” 

“I can make my tiddies jump.” Sam defended and Bruce put both hands up and announced, “I’m slowly backing away from this conversation before it gets weird.” 

“You know....” Natasha tapped at her bottom lip thoughtfully. “Steve’s whole obsession with obliterating our fire wood supply started the day Tony came back from his trip right?” 

“Right.” 

“And Tony swears they were okay before the trip?” 

“Right.” 

“Soooo....” the fearsome redhead narrowed her eyes when Steve did another one of those jaw dropping tiddy jumping rips on a round of oak. “So what else happened that day that would explain why Steve has gone berserker on the wood pile?” 

There was silence as the group thought it through, and Thor-- who had somehow managed to sneak up on them despite his bulk-- cleared his throat and announced, “Tis simple! The Captain is simply aroused by Anthony’s sleep frock!” 

“....” 

“...”

“...uh...” Clint scratched at his head. “Aroused by-- wait, are you saying Steve is horny for Tony’s jammies?!” 

“Exactly! He cannot handle the sight of his paramour in flannel!” 

“Oh my god.” Sam’s eyes widened. “Oh my god, Steve is jammie horny.” 

“Stevie is what horny?” Bucky ambled up towards the window and slung a friendly arm around Sam’s shoulders. “Horny for Tony’s flannel? Oh yeah, been there, knew that.” 

“WHAT?!” 

“Gimme a break, the guy turns bright red and gets all stiff legged walkin’ whenever Tony shows up in those things.” Bucky scoffed. “Then either disappears into his bedroom for hours or goes out and does whatever th’fuck this thing is. Can he go to jail for abusing his wood like that--” 

--Natasha screamed in laughter--

“--or should we just be glad for the extra kindling?” Bucky finished with a snarky grin and from clear across the room Bruce breathed out a sigh of relief that he’d gotten away from the conversation before it took that particular turn. 

“Wait wait wait, I think we need to go through the appropriate scientific process on this.” Clint’s grin was damn near evil. “We’ve made a hypothesis, now we need to observe and gather proof, and then draw our results from the information.” 

Bucky slanted Sam a look, and he supplied, “Apparently Tasha loves Bill Nye the Science Guy so they watch it together while I run in the morning.” 

“Got it.” Bucky nodded. “Alright then. Scientific process. Any ideas?” 

“JARVIS!” Natasha looked up at the ceiling expectantly. “Could we keep the compound at a cool fifty five degrees so Tony has to live in those jammies for a while?” 

“Anything for you, Ms. Romanoff.” 

Natasha grinned and Thor lowered his voice to ask Sam, “Is even AI scared of our ballerina?” 

“Eh. Probably.”

For three solid days the compound stayed at a horrifyingly chilly fifty five degrees, and for three solid days Tony lived in his jammies. 

He wore them with knee high slipper boots and crunched through the snow on the porch to toss seeds and things out for the tree squirrels that hadn’t hibernated for the winter yet. 

He put his hood up and sunglasses on so only his smile was visible in a selfie for one of the social media sites that posted a Daily Picture of Tony Stark. He thought it was hilarious to submit real photos to their archive and judging by the hundreds of notifications on his phone, apparently they loved his flannel look. 

He wore them while playing chess with Bruce, his hair fluffed up to extraordinary heights while he thought each move through, his pockets full of endless candy canes because someone (Clint) kept giving him more because the look on Steve’s face while Tony sucked and licked and mmhmm!ed his way through yet another sweet treat was honestly hilarious. 

One day Tony didn’t wear them only because they were in the wash, and that day the entire team was treated to the sight of Tony curled up in one of Thor’s robes, the hem dragging the floor, the tie wrapped twice around his waist, the arms hanging six inches past Tony’s fingers and the collar ruffed around his neck until all that was left of the mighty mighty Iron Man was fluffy hair, bright eyes and a smile that crinkled up his cheeks. 

Steve walked into a wall that day on his way to be horny angry with the woodpile and Natasha air-fived with Thor because the entire thing had been a wonderful success. 

“Steve?” Today was another jammie day, another day of Steve attempting to bruise his knuckles Hulk-smashing through the wood pile, another day of Tony with his hood on and toes toasty in slippers and hands in his pockets as he rocked back on his heels and cleared his throat shyly. “Hey uh-- could we talk?” 

“Tony.” Steve didn’t so much as blink, staring down at his crossword puzzle hard enough to just about burn holes through it. “What’s on your mind?” 

“Well-ll-ll--” Tony inched closer, pushed his hood off his hair and blinked earnestly at the soldier. “Well, this is a little awkward cos things have been really awkward lately but I was hoping maybe you could tell me what’s going on with us.” 

Steve’s back went ram rod straight, his shoulders tense and stubborn and Tony gulped a little, played nervously with the pom-poms at the ties of his hood. 

“I just uh-- you know, we kissed before I went to Hawaii with Rhodey.” Tony rubbed at his hair sheepishly. “And it was a good kiss. Maybe a little more chaste and good ol’ boy-ish than I would have preferred but hey, I’ll take what I can get.” 

“Tony.” Steve bit out and Tony rushed on before the Captain could interrupt. 

“The thing is, ever since I came back from hanging out with Rhodey you’ve been distant.” He blurted out quickly. “And I mean-- I called you? And I texted you and I even sent you one of those dumb memes that you and Bucky always laugh at and you didn’t even read them! You left me on unread, Steve!” 

“Tony, it’s just--” 

“I just want to know if I did something.” Tony hurried to finish. “Because we’re adults and adults communicate and I realize it’s dumb to call myself an adult when I’m wearing feetie jammies but seriously, Spangles. Seriously we could have something good here and I’m not going to let it go because you got all weirdly obsessed with chopping wood and don’t want to talk to me. Talk to me.” 

“You want me to talk to you.” Steve put his pen down very slowly, lay it at a perfect ninety degree angle from his crossword puzzle, tilted and adjusted the page so it lay impeccably lined up with the edge of the table, took a sip of water and cleared his throat and then put his cup right back where it had been sitting before so not a single drop of condensation was out of place. “Okay. Let’s talk.” 

“Great.” Tony made a whew motion over his forehead. “Okay great. Steve listen, all I want to know is--” 

“Those jammies make me insane.” Steve interrupted, and Tony only had time for a startled glmphhh?! noise before he was grabbed by the front of his jammies and yanked forward into a kiss that was neither chaste nor good ol’ boyish in the least. 

“You are so goddamn cute.” Steve cursed, clutching the endlessly soft material up tighter, nipping and nibbling coaxingly at Tony’s mouth so the pretty brunette would open up and let him in. 

“Right here.” Practically a growl, Steve clutching Tony up even tighter and kissing him harder, shoving his tongue past Tony’s pliant lips and deep inside his mouth to lick and thrust with the sort of moan that most people only ever heard in nekkid movies. 

“Come here, right here.” Two big hands found their way to Tony’s ass, planted one on each cheek and used the more than generous leverage to haul Tony up onto his tip toes to drive the kiss deeper, wetter. Tony whined eagerly and Steve swept over the hood and yanked it off so he could sink his fingers into the thick curls and tilt Tony’s head just right. 

“Christ, I love you in this.” Steve mumbled, and Tony made another one of those hnnnngh! sighs when the blond latched on to his neck. “God Tony, you’re so fucking cute, it’s making me insane.” 

“C--Cute?” Tony couldn’t hardly speak when Steve was leaving kitten licks and tiny nibbles down his throat to the curve where shoulder met neck, mouthing a bruise over his pulse digging his teeth into the sensitive skin. “Steve what-- what--” 

“C’mere, babydoll, c’mon.” Steve fit a thick thigh between Tony’s knees and rocked into him purposefully, and when the stars and stripes and freaking bells and whistles cleared from Tony’s vision, he finally realized-- 

“Wait.” He put a hand to Steve’s chest, gratified and wholly smitten when Cap immediately leaned away and tipped his chin up to see what was wrong. “Wait. Listen, I’m one hundred percent on board with what’s happening right now, but I gotta clear something up.” 

“What is it?” Steve swept his fingers over Tony’s jaw, down his neck and around to his back, hooked his arm around Tony’s waist and settled him tighter against his body. “What do you need to know, Tony?” 

“...do my jammies make you horny?” Tony asked quietly, seriously. “Steve. Look me in the eye. Do my jammies. Make you horny.” 

There was nothing but pure adoration in Tony’s eyes, pure adoration and sparkling hilarity, and Steve wet his lips sheepishly... and nodded. 

“Yeah. Yeah, Tony. These jammies-- the whole flannel thing and the way you hide candy in your pockets and this hood-- it makes me crazy.” 

“So...” Tony was fighting against a smile, a blush rising in his cheeks. “So when you go out and get all aggressive with the wood pile?” 

“It was either that or push you up against the wall and tear the jammies off you.” Steve confessed, grip tight at Tony’s hips as he rocked into him once, twice, approximately nine inches of All American Beef burning hot against Tony’s waist. “And since we hadn’t done nothin’ but kiss before now, I didn’t want to assume too much too soon.” 

“You’re such a gentleman.” Tony breathed and Steve grinned, “Shucks Tony, I usually try to be more of a gentleman than this.” 

“Nah, I’m on board with this. Totally on board with you being jammie horny for me.” Tony said confidently, and threw his arms back around Steve’s neck. “Bed?” 

“Bed.” 

“Do you want to take these things off me?” Tony wrinkled his nose teasingly and Steve dropped a kiss on it. “Or would you rather me do a rather flannel-y strip tease?” 

“Oh sweetheart.” Steve’s voice went low and dark and wanting, fingers tracking along the seam of the jammies over Tony’s ass and pulling hard enough to make Tony shriek. “Leave them on.”

Later, when Tony was face down on the bed and still moaning, when Steve was rubbing slow circles on his bare butt and smiling in satisfaction over the still red hand print from where he’d spanked Tony just enough to see that ridiculous booty jiggle--

Later, Tony wriggled and hummed and lifted his butt up into Steve’s palm a little more and asked, “Steve. Did you have to tear the ass of my jammies? I feel like you could have just taken them off of me.” 

“Oh.” Steve turned scarlet to the tip of his ears. “Sorry about that, honey. I guess I got carried away. Could we stitch them back together?” 

“It’s not like it’s a dick sized hole you tore.” Tony said dryly. “My entire butt is on display right now.” 

“Yeah....yeah I know.” Steve couldn’t help another satisfied smile. “I see it.” 

“You are decidedly less of a good ol’ boy than I thought.” Tony sighed happily when Steve leaned over and kissed behind his ear and down his neck. “I’m not complaining, I’m just surprised.” 

“I dunno where all the stories about me being a good ol’ boy came from.” Steve smoothed his hand down Tony’s back and went right back to his butt, kneading at the tempting curve eagerly. “I’m just mildly polite, but all bets are off when I want someone as bad as I’ve wanted you for so long. Captain America might be an American Icon, but I’m still a man, Tony.” 

“Yeah.” Tony turned on the pillow so he could offer Steve a sort of shy smile. “And one I’m fairly crazy about.” 

“You crazy about me, sweetheart?” Steve rolled on his side and snugged Tony up into him, tangling their legs and holding him close. “I’m crazy about you too.” 

“Good.” Tony twirled one of the hoodie strings through his fingers, squeezing at the pom pom idly. “We could get you a pair of these jammies, you know. I bet you look great in flannel.” 

“Absolutely not.” Steve said flatly. “I am not wearing one piece feetie jammies, Tony. I’ll leave that sorta adorableness to you.” and then curiously, “Why did you even buy these? I’ve seen you buy Versace silk pajamas, what’s with the flannel.” 

“They keep me warm.” Tony inched in tighter and wrapped both arms around Steve’s waist. “It’s like a giant hug. Also, I feel like a bear when I put the hood up and steal cookies from Bruce. It’s amazing.” 

“I’d sure like to keep you warm.” Steve murmured, bumping their noses gently. “I wanna hold you forever, Tony.” 

“Cos of the jammies?” 

“No.” Steve tipped Tony’s chin up and kissed him soft and sweet and slow. “Cos of you.” 

“But the jammies help?” Tony teased and Steve blushed all over again. “Which is why you totally ruined this pair--” 

“--sorry, honey.” 

“--but don’t worry, cos I bought one of those old fashioned pairs with buttons on the butt for easy access. It says ‘bear cheeks’ on my ass.” 

“Oh my god, Tony.” Steve groaned out loud and jerked forward, grinding his suddenly re-interested cock into Tony’s thigh. “You’re killing me.” 

Tony just laughed through another kiss and booped Steve on the nose with one of the pom poms. “Yay for cold days and you being horny for my jammies.”

Minus Hex Hc

OK SO If any of ya’ll don’t know this is official art of Minus Hex and lemme tell ya me and my friends went off on ideas for him, theres no info about Minus Hex so anything i talk about here is pure Hc i have came up with overall. So lets begin So We always thought this Hex looked rather gentle and soft compared to normal Hex who seems more energetic, so we came up with the idea “what if he was a sort of helper/ Therapy robot “ and we went from there. -Story/idea i wrote- Hex was created by a high tech company, he was commissioned by the family of an old rich man, he was wasn’t well and the family had no time to take care of him, so they asked the company to create a caretaker type/ Therapy  robot and so the manufacturer made Hex. In fact Hex was the first Model, and he was the first to actually run on solar and to be programed to do such a serious task, he was pretty much a prototype, the company wanted to see if this could be successful for future use, so they used the Old man as a  sort of guinea pig coming by to get reports on how well Hex was doing. Overall the beginning of Hex’s life was rather simple, he wasn’t anything like he is now, he was only programed to help the man, he wasn’t given a personality he wasn’t supposed to have one, he wasn’t even supposed to gain a full thought process outside of, ‘take care of old man’.  The company would note how successful the project was as Hex was doing as told, and was taking care of the man and the house, though the man himself wished the robot would do more then just say ‘yes sir’ and ‘no sir’ The company didn’t really care about that, after seeing how well Hex was doing they began to plan to mass produce robots like him, and once the man died they would make Hex obsolete and scrapped him using his parts for other better robots. But something happen that really none expected, overtime as Hex spent more time with the lonely man he started to gain more and more of a conscious he was taking out to see the world, and saw how others interacted something clicked in his system, it all started because he started to play basketball while the man was resting, though the man caught him one day, but instead of being upset, He was happy to see this, encouraging Hex to keep trying new things  the two grew a strong bond after that they would spend hours talking and the old man would show Hex how to bake and even how to sing, for once the man truly felt like he wasn’t alone. Hex would still do his job taking care of the man, and taking care of the home but he developed a complete personality and he even had his own opinions and thoughts. When the manufacturers came by and saw this they were in shock to say the least, they couldn’t understand how this happen, they saw it as some kind of malfunction and now they were worried their new care taker robots they wanted to sell would end up the same way, and that meant they couldn’t control them. The company offered to take Hex and program him back to his original state, or even just scraped him (mainly so they can take him apart and figure out why this all happened), but the old man refused saying “This robot is more of a friend to me then any Human i met..i won’t let you take my friend” Now the company can’t do anything until the rich man dies and they would have ownership of Hex again. So for the rest of the old mans life, Hex stayed by his side chatting taking care and just..listening Hex was happy and felt like he was fulfilling his purpose, even though he manage to reprogram his system and basically gain a soul in a sense, he could never get rid of his main function..Taking care and helping, Hex was always prepared to do whatever needed to be done..but no matter what, nothing prepared him for death, The robot could never forget the last interaction with his old friend before he passed on All in a flash before Hex knew it he was gone, and he gain a new emotion..sadness, now that the man has passed on the Company was ready to get Hex and scrap him for good, but there was a problem, the old man rewrote his will he gave everything to Hex when and made sure legally the company can't do anything to Hex.

So Hex was free, he didn’t have to worry about the company scraping him, though the problem was... Hex was lonely he was stuck in a large house on his own none to sing with none to talk to, for awhile it was hard, but Hex started going out more, even started playing Basketball with the local children, and then met Minus Gf and Bf, and after that Hex found Whitty, and then Carol And Finally Hex felt like he was truly fulfilling his purpose, by helping and taking care of those he can and not to mention gaining more friendships then he never thought he would He truly feels happy and will do whatever he can to help others. (I don’t write a lot so forgive me if this isn’t great) -Extra Hc- -  Hex learned other emotions over time such as happy, sad ect but due to his programing he can’t go over the top with his emotions, he has a rather calm versions of these emotions,when he’s excited it is very hard to tell as it looks about the same comparing it to his normal happy face.- Hex can’t raise his voice very loud, as he is meant to be a comfort caretaker, so his voice needed to be gentle and calm in order to not panic the one he takes care of, he was never given a loud voice box.

 -  None really knows how Hex manage to gain a personality, when he first started out he pretty much had no emotions and would just do as told, but as he did errands for the old rich man, he started to see the world and see how people acted, and something in him changed and he began to research more about life in his own little ways . - If Hex goes through a full reboot and doesn’t have his memory bank loaded in yet, he will be resorted to his original state before he gained his personality, he will remain like this until his Memory Bank gets restored in his reboot. - Given he is pretty much the first robot of his kind Hex is not perfect, he still has some flaws he is not built to fight so you could beat him pretty easily (and maybe break him a bit) he can also get hacked into pretty easily when his guard is down (Though his guard is not that strong to begin with) and if a virus gets in he can reboot to get it out, but his battery gets drained quite a bit and he will have to recharge after words. The robot is also not waterproof  - Hex loves charities he learned a lot about them thanks to the old rich man, as the two grew a bond the man began to take Hex to many charity events, he wanted to show the robot how important it was to do your part when you could, and the old man didn’t feel like he was wasting money on this, in fact it was a privilege to him to be apart of this and do all he can for others. That spoke to Hex a lot and after the man passed Hex continued on what the old rich man did and goes to many charity events and donates he knows that's what his friend would’ve wanted .- In the beginning the relationship between the old rich guy and Hex was a bit rough, Hex didn’t have a personality and the old rich man was a bit cold to him, given he felt his family just left him with something that he can’t talk to or even relate to, but slowly as Hex gain his personality the Man began to notice, even catching him playing basketball after gaining more a interested in it, and the man encouraged it rather than deny Hex any of these interest, in fact he began to show the robot things more even going out to show him the town more, and the man began to open up more to Hex showing really he was a good guy. - Hex loves gardening, it is a very peaceful time for him, he started gaining a love for it, after finding the garden room the old man had and wasn’t able to use given he wasn’t well, so hex began using it growing many lovely plant and flower, when the Old man died, he started to stay in his garden a lot more - Hex cares for all his friends/ housemates but he has a rather protective bond with Whitty, after they met the robot just knew he needed help, and will always help him no matter what - Hex learned to sing from the old man, The robot was a bit unsure about singing given he wasn’t built for that, but the old man didn’t listen he wanted to show Hex how much fun music was, and that began the robots love for music  But after the man passed, Hex hasn’t dared to sing since - Hex was created to take care, so he knows how to treat all kinds of injuries and illnesses, he doesn’t get affected by seeing others in a bad state or get sick at the sight of blood, he just wants to help them - Hex can’t get sick from human illnesses (like colds or the flu) he’s a robot, but he can get overheated or if he gets a small bug in his system he can feel unwell till it’s fix, he may act like he is sick because of it. Bleh and thats all i got thought i would share anyways tell me what ya think

It makes me really sad how people happily consume deep, obviously hard won, creative output but aren’t at all prepared to accept that sometimes that battle gets a little ugly. Like you’re consuming content that obviously attracts a lot of criticism, and is completely impossible to do even from a practical point of view (recording, touring, etc.) without leaving the security blanket of employment, social security or society’s approval but expect the people in it to just ... not ever stand out or to misfit or be uncomfortable. It reminds me of what we had the other day, there is a fascination with darkness and wildness and being rebellious, but rarely are the onlookers prepared to deal with the blood and the tears and the dirt. I don’t understand that.

I mean I am basically expected to defend Richard at this point, but the thing is, he’s probably insufferable a lot of times. What gets to me whenever this comes up though, is that all the attributes people apply to him that are negative, almost all exclusively come from himself. Like, people read those interviews and for like one exception where Schneider is being a dick, it’s not like the others say “Richard was too controlling and dramatic” it’s him saying “yeah, I did that and that’s why I moved.” It’s like ... all the negative things people believe about him come from himself. People think he thinks he did the main stuff on Mutter because he went and said “I did too much on that album.” Because the rest of the band is pretty mum about it. And it makes me suspicious, and again, sad for him, that he is perceived that way because he goes out there and dares to show that vulnerable and flawed side of himself and admits what he’s done, and now he’s the boogieman because the others don’t say what they did, too.

Sorry for the emotional ramble, I’m thin skinned today, but I don’t know, people that make themselves vulnerable that way often get treated that way, and it just depresses me.

Disclaimer for the previous anon: this isn't about you specifically, this is a general thing

I think a lot of the issue is that most of the community on Tumblr are quite young and are still coming to terms with just how grey people are (not to mention we have no experience with 40 year relationships because the majority of us are half that, literally babies when it happened)? Because the reality is yes, people have flaws that are more offputting than lovable quirks and that's okay. The expectation that none of us should ever be annoying or have moments of cuntishness or self-centeredness is unrealistic and unfair, and the guys understand that well enough not to hold it against each other forever, especially when it's actively being improved. There are limits and he hit them, but that doesn't mean throw the whole boy out. He has so many good traits that balance it out!!! They clearly decided he was worth enough to them in other ways to keep around, the good times were enough to outweigh the bad ones.

I honestly think they all agreed, Richard included, that sanding it down into just saying it was Richards fault and moving on is the best course of action. I wouldn't be surprised if he's going a bit overboard to almost atone for it, downplaying other people's parts in it because it can't be denied that he was having a bad time. If you assume his heavy drug use was involved theres a whole other layer of regret and guilt and heightened emotions that could compound to make his reaction to his own behaviour worse. I just almost teared up considering that maybe he brings it up to remind himself and to show everyone else that he's trying? All of this post is essentially fanfiction with sources but that even more so but listen... Ouchie, right? Whereas most of the others are more forgiving of themselves and their behaviour so it's faded to a greater degree. If he shut up about it a bit more I wonder if they'd ever bring it up. He really does beat himself up and insist it's all in the name of his art.

We have slightly different opinions on the importance of Artistic Pain and Suffering, I know you side more than Richard on that than I do, but I can definitely agree that there's an issue with people loving the end product but rejecting how it came to be in the first place. That doesn't make any sense the way I worded it huh? If you want moral purity then anything outside that is going to feel like a blow. Is that why they say you should never meet your idols?

Related to that none-thing I just tried to say, there's also the fact that Richard has gone to therapy and worked on this stuff: He does acknowledge his issues and how they affected everyone else, and it's pretty clear the others appreciate that. A lot of it, even from our limited knowledge, has clear origins so I don't doubt that they take everything he's been through personally into consideration. I imagine the same can be said of Till and to a certain extent all the others too. You can't look at them through a purely individualistic lens, that's not how they think.

You know how a lot of people with mental health issues get into periods of hating themselves and can list a whole bunch of overinflated reasons why they're terrible awful bad waste-of-a-fleshsuit humans? Sometimes when Richard is discussed it's like people are listening to that and they agreeing without taking a second to evaluate the objectivity of the source. It's hard to look at for too long for some people. Till is treated way more sympathetically; his Bad Traits are less grating for people who don't know and aren't actually around him, I suppose.

I'm trying to find a quote by I think Paul about how he had to read a book of some kind to be able to understand and talk to Richard, Tumblr is impossible to search, but it really does highlight the effort they all put in that we don't see. They have long, long conversations with each other, they didn't just get angry, yell a bit, and then wait for things to change. Sometimes people forget that personal growth is a thing. He's not the same person in 2021 as he was in 2011 or 2001 or any other time.

🐇Before getting into who Ayesha was, the world looked sort of like this. Hues of Purple, Monotone, and occasionally Red. It was referred to as ' The Void ' or sometimes ' The Anti-Void ', ‘ The Veil ‘ , or even ‘ Parallel World ‘. It varied by the other's who lived in this dimension. There was a lot of different species here but the main one it remembers is Skeletons and the species it was, which it will just refer to as Rabbits for simplicity sake.

🐇NOW, this is Ayesha. It doesn't remeber it's actual name from this life unfortunately. ( Below Image ) Its eyes always glowed white and it could turn into a rabbit form that tended to drool either blood or a weird purple substance.

🐇Now you may be wondering ' Ayesha why the name Rabbit Queen??? ' well that's my given name to other's it took into this dimension from well,,baaasically the dimension we are currently living in right now. See, what it did was bring children / teens / sometimes adults or the elderly that lived in abusive households into The Void / Anti-Void / The Veil / Parallel World;; as a way to save them. It was always gentle of course as it never wanted to scare those it brought over. And it would care for all of them in the building you see in the album art from the start. It doesn't know why everyone liked to default to that name but it was endearing.

🐇Upon being brought to The Void / Anti-Void / The Veil / Parallel World however, they would begin to change. Slowly turning void-like beings similar to me with rabbit ears, white-glowing eyes. They could even eventually turn into rabbits!

🐇It actually had a mentor too! One it saw as like a grandmother of sorts, and here what she looks like!

🐇She did a similar thing it did before the job was passed down to me when it was able to change into its more human form! Actually, heres a pretty exact picture on how Grandmother looked when it was still a rabbit! ( Just minus the city thing going on in the hair! )

🐇It doesn't think it was naturally born in The Void / Anti-Void The Veil / Parallel World; It thinks that it was also saved from an abusive household in this dimension!

🐇Like Grandmother, it also ended up having a protégé!! :> This is actually an accurate picture of us two changing to this dimension it believes! ( just add bunny ears to the taller being! )

🐇Thats all the memories it has for now sadly..but..it deeply missies The Void / Anti-Void The Veil / Parallel World. It listens to The Birthday Masacre just because it reminds it of home for some reason..and it deeply missies Grandmother and the Protege..and all of it's rabbitlings in general. This is my all time favorite movie. My comfort movie, if you will. Its WEIRD though. It has a lot of gross/surreal comedy, especially in the beginning so its not for everyone! Don't feel bad if you try to watch it and decide YIKES no thanks. Trust me, I understand lmao. But if you can make it through the gross stuff, I promise you a movie that is unlike any you've ever seen. Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe are SPECTACULAR as the main characters and the soundtrack is hands down my FAVORITE movie soundtrack to date. I listen to it all the time in my free time because its that good. There are so many lessons on what it means to be alive, to be open so that others can understand and love all of you and it just GAH makes me cry every time.

You KNOW imma always recommend this show its perfect and I rewatch it ALL the time. AMAZING ensemble cast with a ton of chemistry, hilarious, heartfelt, ugh its just fantastic in every way. Its also such a treat to look at like mmmm Ted Danson, Manny Jacinto, William Jackson Harper, Kristen Bell- LITERALLY ALL OF THEM CMON

I've lost track of how many times I've rewatched this banger. There's an episode where both Malcolm and Reese think the other one is gay and it genuinely made me so soft how they were trying so hard to be supportive agsgshdgsh I love it (also Hal is Bryan Cranston's best role ever, no competition. Everyone deserves a husband like Hal)

This show would be a 10/10 if it didn't get canceled and also have that weird coma stuff in season 3. Even with that though, this show is amazing. Soooo funny and full of super sweet life lessons. Its genuinely heartwarming to watch Earl learn lessons and navigate his new way of life 🖤

This is SUPERIOR writing. I dont even know how to talk about this show because it has EVERYTHING. Its socially conscious, hilarious, dark, depressing, hopeful, EVERYTHING. I never expected to connect to or be affected by this show the way I have been. The characters are deep and all go through their own personal arcs throughout the 6 seasons and it is honestly the first show I've seen to accurately depict SO MANY THINGS. Stuff like depression and ptsd and addiction and the strain fame puts on people, especially young people GEE IM GETTING EMOTIONAL ALL OVER AGAIN. Anyway, its amazing, ill stop now

TW: all of them. All the triggers. Well maybe not all of them. There's a lot of substance abuse and addiction and driving under the influence. Character death, violence, real world issues like gun control and sexism... its pretty chock full of stressors, so if you're someone who is sensitive to that kinda thing, make sure to look up a complete list of trigger warnings before watching! 🖤

Bob's Burgers- TV-PG | Moo's rating: 10/10

I probably don't need to explain why this is here. Great original music, fun characters, life lessons. Its the best, the end

King of the Hill- TV-PG | Moo’s rating: 10/10

I do a rewatch of this classic at least once a year. 

I always tell people that Bob from Bob’s Burgers is my ideal of a perfect (white cis male) Democrat and Hank from King of the Hill is my ideal of a perfect (white cis male) Republican and I’m so so right. Hank is so conservative in his attitude about literally EVERYTHING, but not in the horrible Confederate flag waving, woman hating way. He’s a reserved, private guy who constantly LEARNS and GROWS, and is always open to other people’s lifestyles, even if he doesn’t understand it or if it makes him uncomfortable. 

This show tackles a wide variety of people and topics and never fails to make it funny AND sweet. There are times when Hank can be bullheaded and infuriating but he always comes around to make the right decision by the end of the episode 🥰 He also reminds me SO MUCH of my dad. Literally his mannerisms, his voice, the way he says “Whhat?” when he’s shocked... it’s just my dad in cartoon form, I swear lmao

TW: republicans, guns, depression, Hank’s dad is abusive af (though he does have moments of sweetness)

The Amazing World of Gumball- TV-Y7-FV | Moo’s rating: 10/10

This show NEVER gets old. When I just wanna watch a quick something while I eat lunch or if none of my other shows are doing it for me, this is my go-to. It’s a kids show so it’s definitely more lighthearted than the others but it’s straight up HILARIOUS and has some adult jokes sprinkled in here and there. 

On top of that, they use a huge mix of animation types. From 2D to CG to claymation to puppetry WOW it’s so cool

Futurama- TV-14 | Moo’s rating: 9/10

Maybe I’m just simple but this show is just laugh after laugh after laugh. So witty and quick. It’s another one that I rewatch constantly. (honestly all of these shows are 🤷‍♂️)

Like Bojack, this one is very mature and not for everyone. It’s one of those shows (like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) that has a full cast of degenerates and bastards. Archer is an alcoholic douchebag, Mallory is a greedy bitch, Cheryl is clinically insane, Cyril is a whiny sex addict, Pam is an obnoxious pervert, Lana is a naggy wet blanket, Kreiger is a mad scientist, Ray is gay.

But it’s funny as fuck. It’s definitely one of those things where you’re like “oh no i can’t believe I’m laughing at this” but man I just love it. The dialogue is FANTASTIC and the wacky shenanigans they get into is always entertaining. If adult humor is something you’re into then this one is perfect 👌

Want to see some representation? Watch Kipo! The three main characters are POC and one is gay! The animation for this show is so nice and pretty too 😙👌 And the soundtrack??? Yes. Spectacular.

I would rate it higher but it felt a little short 🤔 even though it has 3 seasons, once it finished I felt like there should have been more.

OK ARTISTIC CHOICES. So for some background I’m a costume designer so I actually spent a lot of time doing research for these outfits and also I pay way to much attention to detail so get ready for an infodump because im a nerd.

ok so my headcanon for the jacket (and if u read the og post this will make more sense hgafkgsjk) is that Dean stole it from John the night he and Sam ran away and he starts to modify it and make it his own and put patches on it that would piss off John and thats why he keeps wearing it because he took this thing his dad loved and made it his own and that is the ultimate “fuck you” to John.

Dean keeps his hair in a really short crew cut because i really enjoy Dean teasing Sam about their hair being long

Sam and Dean dye their hair in motel bathrooms and Dean changes colour every other month meanwhile Sam just dyes their hair black because “i dont want to damage my hair with bleach Dean”

"Be safe..." you said looking up at him.

"I will." He said.

He went off leaving you to your own thing, you decided to take a nap, you felt tired from your day, unlike when you were at the club, this felt like a new kind of exhaustion.

27. Sinew and Steel and What They Told by Carrie Vaughn: tor.com short story. i don’t remember this one super well but i remember the structure being cool

28. The Naming by Alison Croggon: book 1 in The Books of Pellinor series. cool magic system, some chosen one and mistaken identity, family LITERALLY found. looking forward to the next one

29. CHECK, PLEASE!, BOOK 2: STICKS AND SCONES BY NGOZI UKAZU: volume 2 of an amazing web series turned graphic novel about a college hockey player who likes to bake and falls in love with his captain its FANTASTIC and i recommend this series to literally everyone i know

30. Eric by Terry Pratchett: Discworld #9. Faust retelling as the premise. guy tries to summon a demon. gets Rincewind and his Trunk out of the demon realm instead. hijinks ensue from there. you probably need some discworld knowledge to follow this one

31. The Secret Life of Sparrow Delaney by Suzanne Harper: middle grade coming of high school novel. Sparrow Delaney can see and talk to ghosts, but she’s keeping her powers from her family (also ghost seers) because she just wants to be normal. a new family moves to town after their oldest son dies. oldest son’s ghost is hanging around his little brother and meets sparrow

32. An Explorer’s Cartography of Already Settled Lands by Fran Wilde: tor.com short story. what can you map? just geography? how sad for you. this narrator can map all sorts of things from bird migrations to emotions of a city

33. The Queen of Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner: book 2 in the Queen’s Thief series (complete now). i got into these because of a few different fanfics mentioning them and they are AMAZING I’m very annoyed i didn’t know about them sooner. political intrigue, gods, competent people doing their jobs, everyone underestimating said competent people

34. A Pound of Paper: Confessions of a Book Addict by John Baxter: so i stopped reading this one about halfway through because i didn’t need to read about the various orgies thrown by authors/literary agents this man attended. also he’s not so much into reading as collecting and that’s boring to me.

35. Love Charms and Other Catastrophes by Kimberly Karalius: book 2 in the Grimbaud series. definitely need to read the first book for context. but its a really sweet series with a dark underbelly that gives a nice contrast. think the paper magician series but milder on all fronts.

36. First Kisses and Other Misfortunes by Kimberly Karalius: set after book 1 in the Grimbaud series it expands on what happens to the main couple from book 1 before book 2 opens. read on swoonreads which is now fiercereads.

37. The Hollow Kingdom by Clare B. Dunkle: goblin king retelling. first in a trilogy. i enjoyed it, especially as the narrator sticks it to abuse family members

38. The Golden Specific by S.E. Grove: book 2 in the mapmakers trilogy. fascinating world building that you absolutely need the first book to understand. aimed at high schoolers. across the world there are different times existing at once. middle ages, technological age, 1800′s, and more times are interacting depending on where in the world you are. sometimes the lines shift.

39. The Crimson Skew by S. E. Grove: book 3 in the mapmakers trilogy. back in america a war is brewing that has managed to weaponize some sort of airborne disease/??? that explodes people. yeah. satisfying close to the series.

40. Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik: why why WHY was this my first Novik book. what was i waiting for??? polish folklore inspired. theres a winter (elf? goblin?) king who needs gold and wife. a fire demon trying to escape his (metaphorical) chains to take down the winter world. and a girl who can turn silver into gold. (by trading). politcal intrigue, magic, a really heavy crown. well worth the read. on a wavelength with the winternight series.

41. The Yellow-Lighted Bookshop: A Memoir, A History by Buzbee Lewis:  I picked this up because its about a bookstore and the author’s name is buzbee. cute little memoir with an overview of the history of books/bookstores from ancient times to now

42. All Systems Red by Martha Wells: book 1 in the murderbot diaries. this was actually a reread for me, but it had been long enough that i wanted to refresh and its a novella so its a fast read. A Security Unit (SecUnit) that calls itself Murderbot has hacked its own governor module so that it can watch its soap operas. Now if only the humans it was responsible for would stop being so dumb.

43. Artificial Condition by Martha Wells: book 2 in the Murderbot diaries. Murderbot has freed itself from its government contracts and is working on its own. Murderbot gets a lift to a planet from its past from an empty transport vehicle, named Asshole Research Transport (ART) by Murderbot.

44. Rogue Protocol by Martha Wells: book 3 in the Murderbot diaries. Murderbot’s story continues. pretty crucial that you read these in order. Murderbot continues to be put off by humans and their behavior. Still just trying to consume the media it wants without being bothered.

45. Exit Strategy by Martha Wells: book 4 in the Murderbot diaries. Murderbot meets back up with the humans from book 1. chaos ensues while trying to escape the company that Murderbot used to be contracted to.

46. Network Effect by Martha Wells: book 5 in the Murderbot diaries. first full length novel in the series. another one to come in April 2021. Murderbot gets kidnapped from its human friends. turns out ART needs some help and doesn’t have any other friends.

47. Airborn by Kenneth Oppel: steampunk pirates in airships. kind of similar in vibes to the aesthetic of the leviathan series, but strictly mechanical advancements. cool worldbuilding. teenage girl scientist protagonist. first in a series.

48. The Angel’s Game by Carlos Ruiz Zafón: book 2 in the cemetery of forgotton books series. very atmospheric. like you can almost see the fog while you read it. supernatural/elements of magical realism. helps if you read book 1

49. I Am, I Am, I Am: Seventeen Brushes with Death by Maggie O’Farrell: memoir told out of chronological order. each titled with the body part that almost caused death (neck, spine, blood, lungs, etc). by definition, not a happy read, but powerful. trigger warning for the neck story for an almost abduction/assault. content warning for chronic illness/disease.

50. Uncommon Type by Tom Hanks: yes that Tom Hanks. series of short stories. some of them are connected. i can’t remember anything super upsetting, and some of them are straight up comedic. elements of the absurd. in one a group of friends goes into space. like without nasa or any organization. they just. build a rocket. and go to space.

2. What kind of media is your S/I from? A book, comic, television show, movie, video game? Is your F/O part of the fandom for your S/I’s media?

so!! my S/I kojika is based on my own sona, which comes from my minecraft skin!! and my minecraft characters story is based on this mc game server i used to play on so thats what thisll be based on :’3

i cant decide if the media will be a game or tv show!! but anyways, the setting is this apocalyptic, fantasy-based land where theres this horde of incoming monsters (that include things such as zombies, wolves, skeletons, and ogres), and the last survivors of this fortress have to take their “last stand” against them and protect the keep and its shrines. kojika in this show is a badass, adorable healer who is very chill and a bit silly and will slay down hordes of monsters while looking as cute as possible. theyre fairly outgoing and fairly popular amongst the survivors of the keep

kakashi is more of a chillax fan of the show!! he usually prefers lowkey shows but the premise and comedic parts of this show really drew him in. he likes to wait for a bunch of new episodes to come out and then binge watches them

4. How active is your F/O on social media? Do they run a self ship blog or do they mostly lurk?

kakashi is more of a lurker, through and through. he might have a self ship blog but its super lowkey and he barely posts on it. he might have a blog where he reblogs fanart and gifs of the show that he likes!! he also tracks the kojika imagines, kojika x reader, etc tags for any new posts and yes, he will read these in public like he reads icha icha

7. What would your F/O’s self insert character be like?

OKAY i love this question so much??? so kakashi in his own world is a super talented, famous shinobi. so i feel like he’d kinda want to be the opposite here lmao. his S/I is this laid back, chill guy that, while is pretty decent in combat, always ends up in situations where he needs to be saved preferably by kojika. his S/I always knows the dumbest jokes that always manage to crack up kojika and he always casually tries to hang around/be around them. he might make his S/I look like himself?? i think he could translate his sharingan fairly easy into the show’s world. he’d also maybe have a tamed wolf companion that looks a bit like pakkun? he might also make his S/I look like sukea. or maybe he has them as two different S/Is!!

I don't remeber if i ever wrote an introduction, so here goes.

My name is Pie but you can also call me Lara or Jer. I use any pronouns.

Ive been interested in whump since i was a small child, I think 4 or 5. I was one of those "gifted" kids who could read at a college level before starting school. My favorite books were always the ones where someone got hurt or sick.

I like whump because i find it relatable, and it helps me to cope with some things i went through.

Most people, i think, dont find whump relatable. A friend of mine said that most people didnt have a childhood anywhere near mine ^^" so here's a brief description of some of the things about me:

Im only 5 feet tall. Which is odd since my family is above average height and my brother is 6 foot and 15 years old. Most of the time when people point it out, i just laugh it off or say i dont know why im so small. But to be honest, its from malnourishment. My family was very very poor (we still are rather poor but not as bad as it was). I lived with my little brother and my mom, and my dad was very abusive and didnt live at home. I'm extremely lactose intolerant, and mom would make macaroni and cheese a lot because my brother really liked it. But I couldnt eat it, so i was forced to go hungry a lot. My mom also has become more and more abusive as I've gotten older, and stopped making meals for me altogether in my early teens, so i had to either cook for myself or live on chips. Which i did. Combine that with no milk, and you get me.

I have hundreds of scars. Most of them are knife wounds. Most of them have pretty cool stories, too, like the one where i was stabbed with a sword (i used to fence), and the one where i was shot with a paintball at point blank range (as in the barrel was right next to my skin).

I have chronic pain. Theres something wrong with my bones that causes them to ache and makes my joints occasionally give out. Ive also got the beginning stages of arthritis from sewing 10 hours a day when i was a teen.

I cant swim. I know how, but i get exhausted very easily and my arms and legs start hurting and then I start to sink. Its terrifying and embarrassing, so I just dont go in deep water. I still swim in the local river though haha.

I get sick easily because I'm allergic to pretty much anything that gives off pollen or spores. I get frequent bloody noses and respitory infections. My childhood house was also rotten with mold and mildew. I remember that if i pushed on the wall in my bedroom, I could actually move it a couple inches in, and the drywall would slide along the nails. We also had rats and ants.

I have difficulty remembering things, and my brain has actually blocked memories from me. Im in therapy because of this. It affects my short term memory too, and sometimes i get lost in the mall and stuff because I forget where im at and who im with.

I sleep on the floor, because I toss and turn from nightmares and got tired of falling off the bed. I do this in hotel rooms too, much to the concern of my friends. Yes i have a mattress, yes I'm comfy, yes i prefer it this way.

When i was 11 my mouth grew a second pair of upper inscisors for absolutely no reason and i had to have a set removed because they stuck out like a vampire and were causing problems with the rest of my teeth. The remaining set were also too pointy and i was constantly biting my lip by accident so the dentist filed them down. They had to sedate me for that and as a result i hate the dentist. I also had to have braces afterwards.

Those are the teeth they removed ^^"

I stutter really bad and have a lisp. I can keep it under control unless im really anxious. When im in a new setting, i cant talk at all. I have specific friends who I've given permission to talk for me, and im trying to learn asl.

I was sexually assaulted as a teenager, but that's the one thing i don't feel comfortable talking about.

So yea thats me!! If you have any questions go ahead and ask me them! I have a lot of stories about my life and telling them helps me heal. You'll see a lot of stuff on this blog that's similar to what i went through, but not all of it is that, I just really like whump in general. I don't really have any ""turn offs"" except for extreme medical inaccuracies like gallons of blood loss and stuff. i also sometimes reblog my art here too ^^"
