This has been on my mind for a while.

Where does Yoshi in your Luigi x Bowser AU?

Does he live with Mario & Peach?

Or does he live with Luigi & Bowser?

I’ve watch the Mama Luigi episode from the Super Mario Bro’s TV Series recently & I just got curious.

Well, Yoshis as a species live mostly in tropical regions. Certain parts of the Mushroom Kingdom are teeming with the friendly dinos! There was a time in the past when Yoshis were at risk of going extinct. This was mostly due to the War of Beasts and Men, aka the fight between the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdoms. King Toadstool's army used Yoshis for transportation, and the poor things fell quickly, as they weren't made for battle. They were left nearly extinct, but once Princess Peach took the throne she was quick to set up conservation efforts.

There are animal sanctuaries scattered throughout the Kingdom dedicated to helping this species bounce back, and they're now thriving as they did before. I like to think that the Bros get together every week to volunteer at one of these sanctuaries. Since they live so far apart, it's a way for them to stay connected, and to help out in a community that welcomed them with open arms!

So, Baby Bowser is looking curiously at Baby Luigi, in his short life he had never seen a human puppy, he had only heard about humans and their babies, Baby Bowser finds little Baby Luigi very strange, he had never seen something similar to him…even though he had heard about humans, he still found everything very strange, he commented how strange Baby Luigi seemed to him.

Baby Luigi, also looks at him with curiosity, never in his short life, had he seen anything like Baby Bowser, the two look at each other with curiosity, in the end Baby Luigi makes a warm smile at Baby Bowser, which surprises the latter, but also It makes baby bowser feel good.

Anyway, a little thing I did, about my idea of baby bowser and baby luigi, being childhood friends, during the Yoshis Islands events,I only drew in traditional and tried my new markers, in a small drawing, I didn't have enough inspiration to paint the other drawings xd, anyway I don't know if the colors are good, I'll keep trying.

Even more than I miss the original chunky Pikachu design (as opposed to the "yellow baby" it eventually morphed into, first in the anime and then later carrying over to the games), I miss when Yoshis were actually Yoshi-shaped.

This is a Yoshi:

And these are Yoshis (note: if you spell it "Yoshies," I will punch you. That is not how plurals of words ending in "i" work.)

Notice the longer tail, scrawny T-Rex arms, long neck, big spikes on the back of the neck. It's bipedal, but in pretty much the same way a velociraptor or a tyrannosaur or an ostrich is bipedal -- not at all "human-shaped."

This, however...

...this is not a Yoshi.

This is... somebody in a Yoshi mascot suit. A reject from whatever the Mushroom Kingdom's version of Disneyland is, or their equivalent of Barney perhaps.

The tail is barely more than a useless nubbin, not a legit tail like on an actual Yoshi-shaped Yoshi. It's so small now that they actually have to have it inexplicably grow to usable size whenever Yoshi uses a tail-related move in the Super Smash Bros. games.

The arms are suspiciously human-like in both size and shape, with huge hands on the end rather than the hands being about the same width as the rest of the arm. Not surprising, considering that they have to be big enough to fit the actor's hands inside.

The torso and neck have shrunk down, while the head is inflated to absurd size. This is so it can fit the actor's head inside as well as mechanisms for moving the eyes and mouth, of course.

And it's now fully human-shaped rather than "dinosaur style" bipedal, which is no surprise when you consider that there's a human inside of the suit!

That is not a Yoshi.

Bring back actual, Yoshi-shaped, legit Yoshis.

Thoughts on yoshis?

I think they're cute little friend-shaped dudes!! Would love to see them in real life! Such precious little guys!! 10/10! Five stars!

I am trying to decide, though, if I should make yoshis people or pets in this AU... 'Cuz Plessie and Dorrie are people, but they are like, some sub-species of yoshi, I think. And also, Birdo(s) have never been considered "pets" in the series, I don't think.

P.S. I am also trying to decide if Plessie & Dorrie's parents should be yoshis, other sub-species (Maybe Birdos and SMW dinos), or possibly even DRAGONS? Like Hooktail and the one from Mario Wonder?

Hear me out! The girls are pretty tall—Taller than the tallest characters in the cast. HUGE. Having THEM be the offspring of just, some teeny, little yoshi-sauruses would be weird... But DRAGONS ON THE OTHER HAND-

Blue Yoshi brought back my old design of my drawn self from 2008.😁

Way back in the day when I was a little boy this was how I drew people and I still remember. Of course I can draw really good now but you know, I was little back in the day. I had a nice kids drawing board that was green. You know the ones that had like a stylus pen and you would draw on the checker-like screen? And I think it had a slide thing to erase it? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I don't know what it's called. To be fair I was 6 and this was 15 years ago.😁
