Okay I'm working on my therian mechs fic rn, and I'm at a point where you just spent your first calm night sleeping in Tim's room after he decided to keep you around for a while until you get back to earth. And you wake up, the room is dark, but I want there to be some source of light, purely because I want the mc to look around. So I thought, okay, the lights are off but maybe there's some light coming from underneath the room's door? Or maybe there's some glowing machinery along the walls? But then it hit me.

They lie, can make excuses and exagerated.

Using negative "humor" to disempower you

Understating your feelings.

Intellectual bullying, presuming expert advantage over you to make you feel inferior.

Giving you a little or no time to decide.

Let you speak first to look flaws in your arguments.

Giving you a silent treatment.

Pretend ignorance to avoid blame.

Playing victim to elicit pity or sympathy.

Holding you responsible for their happiness/unhappiness.

Targeting your soft spot.

Using negative surprises and to gain psychological advantage.

Asking for unreasonable favors and demand.

Using what's important to you as ammunition.

They manipulate or twist facts.

They make you feel like the problem is your 'sensitivity' not their action

Making you question your sanity by denying your reality.

Keeping leverage.

Dismissing your feelings.

Consistently judging you.

Projecting onto you.

Trying to align people against you.

Criticizing you to make you feel inadequate.

They imbarrass you in a public setting.

That's the thing you need to know, so that no one has the intention of dragging you down

Game of thrones is pretty weird.

Clive Barker wouldn't have had a career if George RRRRR Martin hadn't made sure "The Hellbound Heart" got published.

Which was the basis for the Hellraiser movies.

And that is just a weird fiction fact I needed you to know.

Martin is so horny that he insisted they publish Clive Barker. Even though their fetishes are not the same as far as I can tell.

We wouldn't have the Lament Configuration. We wouldn't have cynobytes or Pinhead.

He took a stand for what he believed in. The thing he believed in was just real weird.

And that was way before he wrote Game of Thrones.

He was just editing Sci Fi and horror compilations.

Thank you, George R. R. Martin. You aren't the best writer ever, but you are so extremely out there, while simultaneously being popular, that I have to respect you just so much.

one of the most infuriating things about becoming an adult is when you realize that it actually is 10x easier to solve problems by making a phone call vs literally any other communication method

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.
