i just saw a post about how people who like dark academia are doing virtual school, and one of the things was something along the lines of “puts a ton of extra work into english and history”

and my 100% in english and 107% in world history was staring back at me like 👁👄👁 while i have b’s in most of my other classes

Monday Evening

Today was rather eventful, I would say, however there was not much work done, which is quite unfortunate. There was a lot of emotions shared today, a lot of uneasiness, a lot of hurt. And, yes, this is a very awful thing for me to have to go through, I would hope I can learn from this expirience. This just gives me more to look forward to as the week passes.

Current plans for the Thanksgiving weekend go as follows:

——> Rewatch “Dead Poets Society”

——> I am looking forward to rereading “The Catcher in the Rye” by J.D Salinger.

——> Work on my sliiiightly overdue Post Secondary project for my College Writing course.

——> Perhaps work on wardrobe changes as the week goes by. This will prove to be difficult with the city being very close to lockdown once again.

This is only a rough list of things as of right now, it is 8pm. The week has only just begun, and it has already been exhausting. Well, one can hope things get better, right?

hi there! i came across your post about staying productive in online classes and i really like your advice! i wanted to ask about your to-do list for school though, specifically how you spread out your assignments. how do you gauge how much you should do in a day or how long an assignment should take? also, do you follow a specific schedule/set aside a certain amount of time to get stuff done, or do you just generally go with the flow? i know it differs person to person, but i'd love your input!

How I spread out my assignments through the week: I always have frogs, or like, tough assignments. I try to limit myself to one per day, but sometimes that’s just now how it goes. I also try to make the workload pretty even with each day though. 

How I know how long assignments take: I don’t. Sometimes I’m done by eleven-thirty, sometimes I don’t look up from my laptop until four. I just try to put all the stuff I know will take a while on days on don’t work.

Do I have a schedule or go with the flow: Half and half. I do my work in the morning, at whatever time I get up. I make tea, a cup of water, a cup of coffee, and a cup of bone broth (in case you can’t tell, I love me some hydration), and then I get to work. I don’t really plan it out by the hour, just kinda when I get stuff done.

This probably didn’t help, because I’m chaotic, but this is how I sort of function.
