I can still smell the fresh paint. The china had never been used. The sheets had never been slept in. Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.

The Shakespearean Hero never wins.
"The calamities and catastrophe follow inevitably from the deeds of men (...) and the main source of these deeds is character. As a result of a fatal flaw, like greed or bitterness, the hero falls from a high position, which usually leads to unavoidable death. Goodness never beats evil in the tragedies of Shakespeare — evil conquers goodness. The reason for this is that the evil element is always disguised, while goodness is open and freely visible to all. The main character is assigned the task of defeating the supreme evil because of his goodness. As a result, he suffers terribly and ultimately fails due to his fatal flaw."
