Question for the mod

Exactly how much trauma will Lil Quartz have in the future?

I mean, there's somewhat less of it, but it's still a lot of it there.

Most of season 1's events didn't happen to him. In fact they went differently;

he didn't know cookie cats well enough to be overly upset over their cancelation

he was raised by a giant gem bug monster, so those didn't scare him or try to attack him

he has control over his bubble powers so he didn't nearly drown nor did he lose control of his shape-shifting abilities and manifest into an ungodly amalgamation of cats

he knew of his healing abilities so he was able to heal Amethyst no problem

He was aware of poofing already so Pearl's sudden poof didn't bother him [at the time he wasn't particularly upset at witnessing her poofing either.]

He managed to overpower Jasper and Peridot with his pack of Feral Gems, so he didn't get knocked out.

And all of that good stuff, [P.s. this list is in the order of his trauma listing here. It starts at 1:17]

But, there was still the rest of seasons he had to deal with.

And even if he was somewhat ready/expecting to face it all head on, he wasn't fully prepared for the intensity of it all. Especially with season 5 and all that comes with it.

I mean, the entire experience isn't something anyone can really forget, let alone be okay with.

But, in this future, he's more willing to let others know of it, but mainly his mama Fluffy/you and his father. [Mainly you cuz your his mama]

With a bit of food, snuggles and venting, he's [almost] as right as rain.

for the pack / fuffly quartz, what do you do with corrupted gems who are just full on aggressive / hostile? like ones who'd attack humans just becuse they can?

I wonder how would Canon Steven would react and feel about lil Quartz

I'd think past Steven would at first be weirded out, but intrigued about this happy-go-lucky semi-corrupted version of himself, but then would quickly become the best of brother/friends.

Now Future Steven, I think he'd be a bit uneasy; not only is he looking at a larger, partially corrupted version of himself, but to be faced with the fact this version of him was so happy and confident despite being raised by corrupt gems would probably leave a bad taste in his mouth. He'd likely try to keep things short, because not only is future Lil Quartz overly-friendly, but he was also hyper. And heavy.

I wonder what would happen if this universe's Pearl would get into a debate with canon Pearl OvO

Depends on what the debate is about. Either or, it might not be entirely pleasant for one or the other.

You see, my version of Pearl is more headstrong and haughty.

Canon Pearl at least mellowed out as the seasons progressed and she gradually started to accept Steven and understand things for how they were.

For RIC Pearl, it takes a bit longer, because not only did she technically lose Rose twice; first to a human, then to a CORRUPT GEM, but she's also quite that bitter he chose the feral lifestyle in the forest alongside them rather than choose to live with the Crystal Gems in the temple. Because of that, she had a harder time accepting things for how they were. Thus, she has a very prickly exterior.

So, even if she does mellow out sometime later in my AU, conversations with her probably won't be a very pleasant experience. It’s likely that she’d info-dump on the topic they are discussing or if it’s something she’s sore about (cough corrupt gems and Greg cough) she’d not only strongly voice her opinion on it, but then she’d proceed to rant about it. And since gems don’t need air, she could go on for hours.

What’s worse is that if you try to speak against her opinion or try to correct her on something, she’ll talk over you.

So you'd likely have to wait til she’s done, or realize how long you've been silent until you've gotten a word in.

TL;DR: If Canon Pearl got into a debate with RIC Pearl, she'd likely regret approaching her.
