Its not like Xornoth & Joey, very much not at all. Its also not like Xornoth and Sausage.

She doesnt submit so easily like the other two, she doesnt take pride in being his "friend", she takes pride in her magic. She lets her magic do as it wants, eventually.

He knows this, he watches this unfold. They watch her become less stressed because of them, and a part of him is happy about it. A big part of Xornoth, is glad that he was able to bring the twins some relief to the issues they deal with.

It was like when they were kids

Its a lot like an annoying older brother, or a best friend you cause mischief with but also jokingly bully. He annoys her, she tolerates it. She annoys them, they tolerate it.

Its a back and forth of "who annoys who the most" and theyre both losing when Fwhip walks in. Its like a sport to the three of them.

@chrisrin’s gem au is consuming the life series fandom and I am not exempt. Enjoy a corrupted Tango

He has a body shape somewhat similar to that of a wolf or a tiger, with broad shoulders and a big chest that tapers sharply just before the hind legs. He has bull-like horns on top of his head. His mouth has jagged edges comprised of sharp triangles meant to mimic big spooky fangs. He has overlapping diamond scales along his back, sides, hind legs, and tail. Bonus rambling about my design Thoughts because I want to:

Honestly most of it is just looking at an animal and thinking “yeah that has Tango energy”; notably:

Pangolin (tail + scales)

Tiger (general body shape + stripes (and lil paws!!)

Bull (horns)

I also thought about adding some armadillo lizard in there? Because again,, the vibes - but honestly that’s pretty well covered with the pangolin lol

Most of his markings are also meant to mimic chrisrin’s design! I pretty much just slapped some extra stuff on top for the corruption, since carnelian can have little veins and spots in it sometimes. I honestly didn’t look at references for super long so they’re not super accurate to what those look like in the actual gemstone but whatever. They look cool. Also I gave him freckles because I can and they’re cute.

I changed the colors because, tbh, they clashed with the fire I drew LMAO. But! Also carnelian can be very orange and corruption changes the colors of gems sometimes anyway (if I remember right, at least).

I tried to mimic the au art style to an extent but I have never been good an mimicking styles lol so it didn’t exactly turn out. I don’t think it’s too far off though! Especially in the design itself. The big ol’ chompers is definitely su energy

I wonder how would Canon Steven would react and feel about lil Quartz

I'd think past Steven would at first be weirded out, but intrigued about this happy-go-lucky semi-corrupted version of himself, but then would quickly become the best of brother/friends.

Now Future Steven, I think he'd be a bit uneasy; not only is he looking at a larger, partially corrupted version of himself, but to be faced with the fact this version of him was so happy and confident despite being raised by corrupt gems would probably leave a bad taste in his mouth. He'd likely try to keep things short, because not only is future Lil Quartz overly-friendly, but he was also hyper. And heavy.

slime is a nephrite, mariana is a jasper that came out a bit wrong (he’s a little overcooked) and their fusion is bloodstone! bloodstone is shockingly stable all things considered but he does tend to fall apart pretty easily outside of combat situations jhsbjd

i haven’t thought of a weapon for slime yet but mariana’s is a battle axe! i’ll figure out bloodstones after i work out slimes lol

She knows Fwhip never shouldve been brought back, that goes against the rules of the land, of how the permadeath works in their universe. She knows that permadeath isnt a topic many enjoy, but she knows that in this world theres so little ways of permadeath that when it does happen. it shouldnt be messed with.

Emotionally? She doesnt care about the sleeping 'dogs' and where they lie, she cares about keeping her brother safe and the only way she knows how is to have him alive by her side.
