A great opportunity for Jute Fiber: Vehicle Interior Decoration
Jute being an ecofriendly product is acceptable around the world, and its use is drastically increasing. Several types of household properties have been used in our homes for a long time. But nowadays, a French vehicle company has taken the initiative to use jute as their interior decoration. For this reason, they have planned to set up a joint venture company in Bangladesh for making jute-based car components.
According to the opinion of the French car company CEO, Bangladesh is the right place to purchase jute but the quality of jute must be ensured.
Bangladesh has a great opportunity to supply jute to the vehicle industries around the world.
Using natural fiber reduces a vehicle’s weight which influences fuel consumption.
Nowadays, Bangladesh has an excellent opportunity to become a major supplier of car components from natural products jute. Dashboards, door panels, parcel shelves, wheel arches, headliners, spare wheel covers, and seat covers are prepared from natural jute fibers.
This company is using fibers, linen threads, and flax also for clothing, furnishing, transport, sports, etc. On the other hand, the car Company purchases 1400 tonnes of jute from Bangladesh every year. They will invest more to add the value of jute. The company is using flax for making interiors of vehicles, but it is more expensive than jute. The price of flax is 0.1 euro more per kilo than jute.
Jute has been considered as golden fiber of Bangladesh, it is one of the cheapest and strongest biodegradable products around the world. The biggest car makers like BMW, and Mercedes-Benz are using eco-friendly products for interior car design to reduce cost and fuel consumption, in this connection Bangladesh is exporting jute to them.
At an early stage, manufacturers used to use fiberglass for interior decoration of their vehicles, but it is not recycled or biodegradable, so in the middle of 90th-decade management thought to apply eco-friendly products as an alternative. Jute has become at the front line.
It is unbelievable that car industries around the world need almost 100000 tones of a biodegradable product like jute, out of which 1o to 20 thousand tones are supplied by Bangladesh. If foreign buyers take initiatives to set up a jute fiber-based industry in Bangladesh rather than purchasing raw jute, will be given extra facilities from Bangladesh’s point of view. As a result, both the producers and Bangladesh will be benefitted, and the value of jute will accelerate also.    There are lots of opportunities to convert jute fiber into diversified jute products and expand its market throughout the world. Once upon a time, Bangladesh and jute were similar names, and it was the lifeblood of the country’s economy but after the invention of polypropylene, it lost its glory in the 80th decade. As a result, production dropped down to 9.9 lakh tones. Recently, buyers are showing interest to buy jute from Bangladesh, production has gone up to 19.6 lakh tones from 7.58 lakh hectares. Producers of car think that this is the peak time to concentrate on jute products and search for potential customers. This should be reorganized and needs to invest more in production to attract the consumers. The tyranny of the middlemen is so great in every case that the poor and helpless peasants are not able to make a profit even after working hard day and night. Learn more………..

Polythene or Jute Bags to Market?
#jute
Mr. Mostakim went to the market a little early in the morning. Because fresh vegetables and fish can be found at this time. Whenever he bought some stuff noticed that there is no basket or bag to carry his groceries, and he forgot to take the market bag to hurry up today. Hence, vendor has put the stuff into a polybag and they will arrange the bag.
Always at the end of the purchase, he found that the items were kept in about seven polybags. Suddenly I saw a jute bag hanging in a nearby shop. The bag can be used for a long time, but the price is just a little bit more.
Mr. Mostakim thought and saw that he had seven polybags in the market. Suppose an average person uses five polybags to market. If one thousand shoppers shop every day then five thousand bags are being used every day.
After shopping, and coming back home, the bags are usually thrown in the trash. Then in 30 days from this market one and a half lakh bags are becoming the cause of environmental pollution. From one hundred such markets, one and a half crore polybags will be spread in the environment in a month.
On the other hand, even if a jute bag costs 50 rupees, if it can be used for 30 days, what will be the calculation? Of course, the huge amount of polybags thrown away will not pollute the environment. If 100% eco-friendly jute bags are left in the soil after use, they will rot and increase fertility. This means that the use of jute bags not only saves costs but also plays a role in decontaminating the environment. Jute is a biodegradable natural fiber stronger than plastic. On the other hand, plastics are non-biodegradable and obtained from refining crude oil that takes 400 years to degrade.
Jute is a biodegradable and extremely strong natural fiber, and decomposes in a matter of weeks. Plastics are non-biodegradable materials that take more than thousands of years to decompose, littering the environment for a much longer period.
