My sweet little girl 👧 I hope You’re over the worst of this illness. You’re 5 months old now and have been poorly with a whole array of problems since you were 6 weeks old. Reflux, two chest infections, whooping cough, teething to add to the mix too, you haven’t had a break. You’re always so happy and smiley though even though I know we are yet to see you at your best. I’ll keep praying for you to get stronger and get past all these problems. There’s no words for the pain a parent has to go through whilst they have to sit and watch their kids struggle day in day out. I salute parents who fall in love with wiping tears, cradling through cries, sicky babies and the hard times. I fall in love with my kids every day and even more so when they’re poorly... It’s not until I’m sat an inch away from their little delicate faces, stroking their little eyebrows, examining their every facial feature that I can truly appreciate how precious they are and I mean, truly appreciate. #AD I’ve always been a huge fan of #fabricsoftener and anyone who knows me knows how crazy obsessed I get when brands release new products. I’ve been testing and reviewing products for a few years now and have reviewed for @proctergamble on numerous occasions now and each time my eyes light up. We struggle with super sensitive skin but also adore the scent of #fabricconditioner on our clothes. With a newborn in the house this #fairysnugglysoft was put to the test and I can’t tell you how impressed I’ve been with it. Old towels that have that typical ‘crunch’ to them came out so soft and no amount of softener has been able to do that before now. None of us reacted either- bonus. 33 washes in this bottle and it smells so clean but not overpowering I definitely think I’ll be stocking up once this bottle has been finished. Breastfeeding is hard work & anyone who says it’s the ‘easier option’ underestimates the issues breastfeeding mamas run into throughout their journey. Those mamas know 👏 . Questioning if you’re producing enough milk.. .. Googling the difference between fore & hind milk.. .. Then we have the painful letdowns, the more frequent feeding because nobody told you that breastfed babies feed twice as often as those formula fed babies.. (we still feed every 2 hours!) .. The #CMPA signs, the elimination diet some mamas go on to make sure their bubs are comfortable.. .. The leaky tops, the overproduction of milk, the block feeding.. .. The breast-weaning, the difference in feeding positions & how they can help feeding.. .. The pumping, the storing, the donating, the other uses your milk can be used for.. .. The incredible hunger you feel when feeding is unreal..(I often feel starved & eat regularly !) .. The long nights, cluster feedings, engorged breasts, growth spurts.. .. The inability to be able to select any old clothes out of your closet because they’re not BF friendly.. .. The blocked ducts, the mastitis, the breast infections, the hospital admissions.. .. The judgmental people, hurtful comments, dirty looks when feeding publicly.. .. Pumping through pain to release blockages, painful latches, the gummy teethers.. .. The feeding on demand anywhere & everywhere.. .. Knowing that baby is 100% reliant on you & having The ability to produce something so rich, nutrient packed, that’s served at the perfect temperature every single time.. it’s not the easiest option, there is no easy option when it comes to children. . .. I had such a rough #breastfeedingjourney with Roo 4 years ago & struggled to manage my #overproductionofmilk but this time round I owe it to all the online #supportgroups and all the #breastfeedingsupportgroups we’ve been to. I’m so proud to say we are heading on to our 5th month #exclusivelybreastfeeding and though I’ve been trying to #breastwean since she turned 6 weeks old, I still stand defeated!
