This hit me so hard. So hard that when I had read on a few pages I went back and read it again.

I knew something in my life was WRONG. I knew it was going to take time to fix it.

I have spent too many years with my face in my phone, with my mind in my small business. "How is that bad?", I bet you are asking.

It is bad because just like you can scroll for ages and never find the end of your newsfeed, I was scrolling through my life endlessly never finding the fake thing that I was looking for. That OTHERS were telling me I needed to find.

I had stopped writing poetry. Stopped reading books. Stopped going for long walks in the woods. Stopped seeking spiritual growth. I had stopped being ME!

I was just filling my kettle with crap, instead of pure white snow.

Tonight I will make tea from a kettle of snow....

Define your own Success

One of the best pieces of advice a mentor ever gave me was to define your own success.

You can't win a race if you don't know where the finish line is.

So many people work so hard every day and still go to bed at night feeling like they didn't accomplish anything because they had no sense of what they are working for.

Make goals, plans, reach for excellence, relax, and thrive with a solid sense of what you want. Take time to self-reflect on your failures and what life lessons you have learned. Make sure the people around you respect your goals and your dreams.

Then when you go to bed at night you can rest knowing you did what you could and you will tackle tomorrow when it comes.

I just don’t have any patience left.

I am so tired of other people wanting control over my life, but they want me to do all the hard work.

I just can’t do it anymore. I won’t do it anymore

I don’t want to say, from now on.... or some bullshit like that. I am just going to start making decisions for myself.

This is going to hurt like hell, because people that I love are going to push back.

But I need to know they love me too, and are not just dependent on me to do everything for them. And then call that love.
