Superbia ~ Part 4 - Treasured Memories

In day break town, the only memories you have are those you forge with your team in battle. It’s not hard to see how, having groups of children who know nothing of any other life, could be driven to pursue and fight each other in a war.

Before the guilds took place and the drive to collect lux consumed the wielders on mass, there were fewer people and the space between hearts felt vast.

If one were to meet the Fortellers when they were only apprentices, you would think that the Master of Masters had made a mistake, picking a set of personalities that were so abrasive to each other, as to have no hope of finding common ground. and you would be right, if it hadn’t been by design

Along came the emotional heart of the group, a red figure with an easy going personality that brought the group together.

It started with a friendship of red, blue and pink. A familiar trio of colours that feels like a recollection of an island seaside.

With an emotional heart formed, the group began to form from friendship and rivalry alike until the apprentices had an ease of friendship and comradery which should have been impossible.

Together they trained to the rank of master, on the day of their success, without knowing, they lost their heart, and the rest, as you know, is history.

Superbia - Part 3 - The Power Within: “Bound Majesty”

Superbia, like most keyblade wielders, is a sword master. Before coming to daybreak town, he could feel that he had been through many battles, but the memories have long since been removed, even if the scars remain.

His Keyblade, Bound Majesty, is capable of multiple transformations, similar to the Lingering Will Boss Fight in KH2, but currently my favourite concept for Bound Majesty’s transformation is:

Stage one: giant claw gauntlets

Stage two: Full Upper Body armour of a great lion’s head with crown aesthetics. Joint with the upgraded giant claw gauntlets, on both hands and feet, letting the wielder pounce towards the enemy as a missile of light.

It took a while for Superbia to summon his keyblade. He was told that he was a keyblade wielder from the moment he woke up, (like all who arrive in Day Break Town) but the shape of it felt wrong. Eventually with the help of his new friends, a new keyblade presented itself to him, its new shape representing the new bonds he has grown.

Superbia - Part 2 - A Blooming Identity

By design, much of Superbia’s sense of identity and belonging is tied to the mask that he wears.

Superbia’s first memories were waking up in Daybreak town, but nothing can shake this feeling that he’s supposed to be somewhere else.

Before friendship and happiness gave Superbia a reason to stay, there was one promise that kept him from leaving to search for his lost home. The Masters of Masters appeared before him and stole his name, memories, and renamed helped him remember his name, and promised to help him remember his past. Superbia against all sense can’t help but trust the Master, he gets such a nostalgic feeling from talking to him.

Training the keyblade wielders that would later become the Fortellers began as a daunting task, but friendships quickly bloomed between them on the training grounds.

Though that echo of loss still haunts the back of his mind, Superbia has a new home with the keyblade trainees, and he doesn’t want to leave thinking only of a bright future.

Au Notes. All the trainees and Masters wear masks because they are playing specific roles. If needs be, and through a little effort, it would be possible to replace the mask wearer and have them continue in the originals place. Its easier to do this with people who did not know each other before the rolls were granted. Though replacing a game piece is a drastic measure that need not be used now that there is a mass network of chirithies to influence events if needed

Superbia - Part 1 ~ Introductions

Superbia came about after watching KH Back cover and solidified after finishing KH3. He’s a Sora-esque person, slightly more brash (like end game CoM Sora), likeable, and easily befriends the people he meets. Which makes him perfect as a tool to build the sort of bond that MoM needs from his underlings/apprentices.

I needed a second person (Superbia) to flesh out an AU which would fulfil these requirements.

a) Aced in back cover: “the master wouldn’t do that”, me: *stares into the camera like we’re in the office*. Like have they met MoM? Did MoM replace someone in their Memories?

b) What if by magic or science, MoM had similar abilities as Namine, to replace people’s memories and insert himself into the narrative where needed. (we’ve seen him do this on a larger scale using the chirithies to remove keykid memories on mass, perhaps all keykids were brought into daybreak town against their wishes and mind wiped to be part of this war? but at the beginning, maybe he did this on a smaller scale to build the game he was setting up.

c) MoM seems the sort that would prefer others to do the work to accomplish his goals. Luxu spend the rest of his existence giving MoM future sight. The Fortellers are guided with a few intentional pushes to cause the war. Then why not have a trustworthy likeable person with battle experience raise his future Fortellers, and once they trust him completely, MoM would remove and replace him, becoming their most trusted friend and Master.

d)I wanted to draw a lion Forteller with Sora’s colour pallet because all the other Fortellers use other great character colour pallets XD
