"Biliyor musunuz, dün gece Reşat Nuri Bey’in Çalıkuşu romanını okudum, çok beğendim.
İhmal edilmiş Anadolu’yu, genç bir hanım öğretmenin yaşadığı zorlukları ne güzel anlatmış. Bitirince İsmet’e (İnönü) vereceğim. Sonra da sizler okuyun."

I didn't achieve my goals because I was sick all week and felt too unwell to read much. However, I'm not giving up on my goal. I plan to start over, and even if I get sick again, I will aim to read at least 10 pages a day.

I take great pleasure in immersing myself in the works of Leo Tolstoy, a masterful author who brilliantly captures the intricacies of societal dynamics. One of his short stories particularly stands out, revolving around the intriguing character of Jilin, a dedicated Russian soldier.
The tale begins with a heartfelt letter from Jilin's mother, a woman advanced in years but still full of love and concern for her son. Her primary desires are two-fold: she yearns for Jilin to return home to live with her, and she wishes for him to marry a young woman whom she has handpicked for him. Touched by his mother's request, Jilin makes the decision to leave his military life and embark on a journey home.
However, his return is not as smooth as anticipated. While on the road, an unexpected event occurs: Jilin is kidnapped by the Tatar people. To add insult to injury, his accompanying friend, instead of stepping in to help, turns a blind eye to his plight.
In the Tatars' custody, Jilin is confined to a barn for an extended period, devoid of basic necessities like food and water. His only source of relief during this bleak period is a young girl who lives nearby. She bravely defies the Tatars and occasionally sneaks in to provide him with much-needed sustenance.
Throughout this ordeal, Jilin's spirit remains unbroken. He spends his days in captivity contemplating escape, and his nights are consumed with meticulous planning for his liberation. Each day brings a new hope, each night a new plan, as he patiently awaits the right moment to make his move.
,
I don't tell you guys more you should read the book. But be sure. He reunited with his mother.

New Big Challenge
365 Days Reading Nonstop

I spent the entire day engrossed in a book I found yesterday in my apartment hallway. The book is about the Gallipoli War in WWI, specifically focusing on the Battle of Çanakkale. Titled "Anafartalar Kumandanı Mustafa Kemal ve Çanakkale'de Savaşanlar ile Mülakat," it's written by the journalist Ruşen Eşref and recounts what transpired on the battlefield.
The book includes Mustafa Kemal's perspective on how the Turkish army won the war and his strategy throughout the conflict. Towards the end, Ruşen Eşref interviews other war heroes such as Yüzbaşı Emin Ali Bey, Mülazım-ı Evvel Ruhi Bey, Ali Oğlu Mehmet Çavuş, Hüseyin Oğlu Mustafa Onbaşı, and Ayaşlı Mustafa Oğlu Ecir. Each of them was present in the war zone, and all sustained injuries to their legs, arms, or eyes. Many who fought for our country left a part of themselves on that battlefield.
Mustafa Kemal ile Mülakat (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)

By the end of the challenge, I aim to complete 75 books. This challenge will enhance my reading skills. I also seek a comfortable lifestyle and mental relaxation. I plan to escape my current state by exploring various types of books. I'll also share my feelings and thoughts on a page dedicated to improving my English skills and resuming my Spanish lessons.
