Just took these tonight. I love the pic of them coming out of the cage even tho it's blurry. It's like you can see them concentrating lol. Hopefully buy tomorrow I'll have better pics. Harmony is 27 days old today & took their first flight. It was in these kitchen & off camera, but hopefully we'll catch the next one. I have to get a good video of Mayhem (day 35) flying tonight. I can't find the one where it does it's first loop de loop. While Mayhem gave a good pose, Harmony was giving FEED ME face lol. Look at those pretty pastel patches. Gonna start harness training tomorrow. I'll just use the aviator until my orders come in. I'm waiting for a leathers 4 feathers hot pink & a fleece, ESA flight suit & a Halloween, ESA on the front & back flight suit. Im looking forward to the day everyone gets to go bye bye together & not be in a carrier. Let's face it, the carrier is no fun. They want out & I want them on me (otherwise it's not very therapeutic). I just ordered my first leathers 4 feathers @leathers4feathers harness, in hot pink with clear crystal rhinestones. Iim very excited about this particular harness. I also have two flight suits coming from @flightquarters. One is black with orange skulls (on sale now)& the other is blue fleece (wanted something for the colder months). I also indulged in two Halloween bandanas. Both flight suits will have ESA across the front & on the back. I had been wanting to order them for some time & can't wait till everything comes in & I'll be able to bring more than one bird out at a time. Flightquarters.com is having a sale today, Mon Oct 5th & Tuesday Oct 6th. The savings def helped! I only have one aviator harness right now which both tiels hate, I still find it hard to put on after months of owning it & it's fraying. I'm ordering at least one more L4F harness next month then every bird will have a harness & I'll ultimately replace the aviator. **LOST COCKATIEL** Magnolia, NJ. Magnolia Regency court apartments. I recently adopted Snow, a male mostly white cockatiel with grey markings. I am working on him being more trustworthy, as he is friendly, but will bite due to not being handled in his previous home. He has taken to my current flock of cockatiels. I had to run out quickly this morning and he was on my head and I didn’t feel him when I walked out!!! He is not banded, fully flighted DO NOT CLIP IF FOUND BY ANY MEANS!!!!! Today's baby spam... You can really see Harmony's pastel facial patch. She's staying to play with toys & perched on my hand for the first time. Mayhem was on the perch on the floor of the brooder everytime I went in there. He's always playing with toys. I've seen him eating out of the food bowl. I love that I can keep a video camera on them at all times! The got upgraded to the baby cage today (with supplemental heat for Harmony). Harmony's feathers really bloomed over the 36 hours. She looks like a diff bird, in the most beautiful way possible! I'm so smitten by these two. In the eight days I've had them, life become more manageable even tho it's actually more work. As predicted there is snow in Magnolia! Meet snow a one-and-a-half-year-old Pearl pied white-faced cockatiel. I took him out of the carrier and you separate up and then flew onto my shoulder which is the picture of him on my shoulder. He is known to have some behavioral issues so we were happy to see that. He does appear to have cage aggression or territorial issues over his cage which I will be working on. It's also beneficial that my birds live a cage for your life. But I will have to work up to that with him. Chaos is taking an immediate strong liking to him great, but chill could care less LOL. For the first time in weeks I feel complete. I'd like to introduce the newest additions to the flock, Mayhem & Harmony! These beautiful babies are going to keep me on the path of healing. At only 20 & 12 days old, they will require tons of TLC which will help keep me focused. Losing Diamond has been impossibly hard. That's the only negative aspect of having an emotional support animal(ESA). I know I could never replace her & I won't even try, but it's important that I take whatever steps necessary to keep myself safe & happy. My flock will provide the emotional support I need to move forward successfully. I'm very much in love with my new ESA's already. For those on my Facebook, you kno I was having a VERY rough morning/ mourning & I didn't kno I would be getting them today. I had been (impatiently lol) waiting to bring them home. There were many signs on the trip to get them that solidifies that this was meant to be. Mayhem hatched 9/1/20 is a cream face pied. At 8:07 pm yesterday 9/9/20 Diamond journeyed to the rainbow bridge. She went at home with her head in my lap. Diamond would have been 15 in Dec. We made it thru some impossible times together & have saved each other. My heart aches terribly & it's surreal here without her. After a year & a half, I'm finally covering my white walls. Today I hung the shelf w hooks, the small key hook next to it & my fav new sign. Once I complete my colorful tree large diamond painting, it'll go up where the tree decal is now. I kno it's lacking color rn, oh well. I have to get frames for these two drawings. New coffee maker & drawer for the k-cups(birds' sprouts). Organization for my footwear (worth $5). I circled the new java wood perch I got (that's going to be made into a table top play gym) & used cable ties to make two new toy spots (one of the toys is new)(update on the birds is coming). I still need to hang the two plant hooks from the ceiling then hang swings. I did get frames for each of these paintings. I just have to get to work sealing them all first.
