I really hope they don't kill off Izzy because

his character has become what McCoy is to Spock and Kirk

he is like Mrs Hudson or Lestrade to Holmes and Watson

without him it wouldn't be the same show,

his death would feel like loosing a limb

his death would be literal nail in the coffin

he became likable by fans

his character took 180 turn for the better

his character could be essential to the plot in S3 if we get one, which I hope we will

izzy's development and his journey into accepting himself as well as his queerness is so beautiful. for the bigger part of his life he felt like had to be someone else and then this stupid silly blonde guy came along with his stupid silly crew and showed him that he didn't have to have a stick up his ass all the time. they put all this effort into making him a new leg, showing that they care and izzy realized he didn't have to hide, that he was with people who would accept him for who he is, not the persona he oh so carefully created for himself. he feels comfortable enough to enjoy his hobby - wood carving of all things, something that needs to be done so carefully, so gently - around others. he feels comfortable enough to be himself.
