it WAS called the ALICORN amulet after all... here's a nightmare trixie, a Nightmare Lulamoon if you will. she could just levitate with magic but the wings are just more showoffy and dramatic so of course she has them.

i really wanted to read a fic where it turned out that trixie was revealed to have been a changeling the whole time and like. starlight or somepony ended up figuring it out. it could be really cute and or angsty.
...
tarsus was a changeling drone who saw the way the changeling hive lived, how little they actually wanted to FIGHT things... how everyone regarded and was subservient to the queen and decided: they wanted that! they wanted the adoration the queen got!
...but there was no way they would get it at the hive.
they ran off and crafted a unicorn persona! a great and powerful magician who'd done all sorts of magnificent feats! like fighting an ursa major and winning! she'd do it! she'd get the adoration she craved and the love she needed! and... she'd ditch that old name of hers! tarsus was no more!
now was the age of the Great and Powerful Trixie!
...
ideally i'd be giving her a backstory with something like that! idk im not a writer
