Thinking about stuff and how ADHD hasn’t gotten the “different way of thinking” treatment except some vague lip service about being creative and is considered by everyone to be strictly disabling. And then I try looking at studies on ADHD and it’s always “scientists find children with ADHD suck at every task we make them do, they must be dumb” and it’s like,

ADHD is literally about motivation and you’re asking them to do stupid uninteresting shit and giving them no motivation. It’s like when scientists decided to herd cats and declared never again, cats are too stupid to learn, because they wouldn’t do what they were told like dogs. My guy, you’re assigning random pointless boring tasks to a random assortment of children with ADHD what did you think was going to happen. For someone studying the science of cognition you sure are bad at not being a dumbass.
