Zak Bagans x Reader
Unexpected Gifts!
Tumblr media
Y/N
'I don't think I'm capable of ever moving from this sofa Zak,' you moan, rubbing your full belly as you lay next to Zak who had his arms around you.
Zak laughs behind you, 'me neither, I think your parents were trying to Hansel and Gretel us y/n. I'll never eat food again.'
You snort, 'either way I'm happy just spending Christmas with you. Now can we nap for the rest of the day? Pretty please with a cherry on top.'
Behind you, Zak shuffles, 'y/n I know we said no presents this year but--'
'Oh thank god you broke the rule as well, I nearly forgot about your gift,' you say loudly cutting Zak off mid-sentence.
You wiggle out of his embrace and reluctantly get up from the sofa despite protests from your body to lay back down and be lazy. Yes, you and Zak promised no gifts this year but you got him something he desperately needed, and rules were meant to be broken sometimes.
Walking into your makeshift office inside Zak's house, you open the bottom drawer of your desk and move some papers around until you produce a black box and shut the drawer with a smile on your face hoping Zak liked his gift.
'Close your eyes,' you call out, as you re-enter the lounge.
'My eyes are closed,' Zak replies.
You put the black box in his open hands, 'open your eyes, it's not much but you needed a new one.'
Zak opens his eyes and opens the box, revealing a very nice and expensive all-black watch, 'how did you know mine broke?'
You tap your nose, 'an Aaron shaped bird may have let slip that yours broke during an investigation. You can still keep your broken one, but I knew when I saw your empty wrist you needed a new watch.'
Zak puts the box aside and stands up, pulling you into a hug and kisses the top of your head, 'thank you y/n I love it, and I promise not to let entities break this one because they'll have hell to pay. Now time for my gift.'
Zak lets go of you and sits you down on the sofa telling you to close your eyes as you had told him. You close your eyes and tap your foot on the floor impatiently, patience was not a virtue you were born with.
'Open your eyes y/n. I saw you eyeing up this cutie and wanted you to have a cuddle buddy while I'm away and Gracie is with my mum,' Zak says.
You remove your hands and open your eyes, gasping loudly at the sight in front of you, 'oh my god Zak you took the hint.'
Zak held in his arms a squirming black Scottish Terrier puppy, the very same puppy you'd seen the other week when you visited the shelter with Zak.
Tumblr media
Zak hands you the puppy who immediately cuddles against you, 'Gracie has already met her and seems to like her so we'll be fine in that department.'
'I shall call her Grim and we'll be best friends for life, thank you so much Zak,' you gush.
Zak chuckles and sits down next to you, 'now gifts are out of the way how about we take that afternoon nap?'
You let out a yawn and Grim copies you which was the cutest sight, 'I think Grim approves, lets cuddle, and then later we can show each other just how much we appreciate our gifts.'
Zak lies down and you take up your original position in his arms along with Grim. Zak kisses the top of your head, 'merry Christmas y/n.'
'Merry Christmas Zak,' you reply, and Grim barks in your arms.
This was a sight you could get used to, now you just needed Gracie here to make this picture complete.

Christmas Cookies
Y/N
'Seriously Billy, we're decorating Christmas cookies, not Halloween cookies, what about ghosts scream holiday spirit?' you ask, hands on your hips as you look over the other side of the kitchen counter where Billy was in his own little world icing cookies.
Billy puts the icing bag down and grins widely, 'they are wearing Christmas hats y/n, and look I even gave one a carrot nose.'
He holds up a couple of cookies and you hated to admit it but the ghosts looked cute in hats and carrot noses, 'okay they are pretty awesome but we can't serve them to my family, you know how they get around all this paranormal stuff.'
Billy puts the cookies down and gets up from his stool before making his way around the counter towards you. Your parents had died in a car crash when you were four and the family who'd adopted you were pretty religious, but you never really believed in God and when you met Billy and the rest of the Ghost Adventures crew you saw your chance to rebel and in the process fell in love.
'They are going to love your cookies y/n, you ice a mean snowflake,' he says sweetly, pulling you into his arms so that your head rests on his shoulder.
You sigh loudly, 'I'm madder that they sprung this visit on us last minute and now I have a lot more hassle when I wanted this Christmas to be about us and moving into our forever home.'
Billy kisses the top of your head, 'we'll put on a good show, they'll be satisfied I haven't fully corrupted you to the dark side, and then once they leave we can celebrate Christmas our way.'
You smile, 'I love you, Billy.'
He hums, 'I love you more y/n. Now let's finish these cookies and get a jump start in cleaning the house.'
NEXT NIGHT
BILLY
Rolling over in bed I expect to bump into y/n but wake up sensing their side of the bed was empty. I sit up and look at the clock on the bedside table, it was 3 AM, where were they? Rubbing the sleep out of my eyes I throw back the duvet and get out of bed to go and find them.
It was safe to say y/n's parent's visit hadn't been running smoothly, they found little flaws in y/n, myself and even the house which stressed y/n out. I was able to put out any fired before they began, but y/n was close to breaking point and I didn't want them to snap when they weren't at fault, they couldn't help having judgemental parents.
I head downstairs and find the kitchen light on and the door slightly ajar.
'y/n are you in here?' I ask, pushing open the door.
y/n was sat on a stool eating my decorated cookies looking sad and defeated, 'hi Billy.'
I walk towards them and smile, 'are you eating cookies right now? It's 3 AM.'
y/n nods, 'if Santa can do it then so can I,' they reply deadpan.
I had no comeback for that one because there was some truth there, so instead, I pull one of the other stools up next to theirs and sit down, 'they'll be gone before we know it y/n. Ignore them.'
y/n pouts, 'I guess you're right, but I always feel the need to impress them, Billy.'
I pick up a ghost wearing a Santa hat and bite the hat right off, 'you know I'm always here for you y/n, just say the word and I'll sneak something out of Zak's museum to freak them out.'
y/n eyes light up and they throw their arms around me, 'ah Billy you'd bring a haunted object into our home to scare off my parents. That would be the best gift you could get me.'
I chuckle and hug them back, 'let's finish these cookies and head back to bed, we can discuss operation 'get our Christmas back' in the morning.'
y/n picks up a cookie and offers it to me smiling, 'this is going to be the best Christmas ever Billy.'

I wish we had better snow in England!
JAY
y/n and I had decided to get away from Vegas for the holidays, both of us needing a break after a busy year of work. Ghost Adventures was still as popular as ever and y/n had started their own paranormal show on Discovery+ which got good reviews. This holiday was just going to be the two of us, no family or friends, although we had sent gifts to everyone in advance before leaving so they didn't think we'd forgotten them.
The cabin y/n had rented had been so peaceful, it was very cliche with lots of cuddling by the fire and well other things taking place in front of the fire that shall not be named. When we went to sleep y/n was giddy because the weather report for the area said we should expect snow on Christmas morning, though the sky looked clear when we went to sleep and I didn't have it in my heart to ruin y/n's joy.
'Jay...get up...merry Christmas...' y/n says in a sing-song voice while shaking me slightly.
I grumble a little before opening my eyes to the most beautiful sight in the whole world, y/n staring at me with wide y/eye/c eyes that held a mischievous twinkle, 'merry Christmas y/n,' I yawn.
Rubbing my eyes I sit up in bed, and only when I take y/n's appearance more clearly do I do a double-take, 'err y/n why are you dressed like you're going outside?'
y/n jumps off the bed and gives a little twirl, showing off her thick coat, bobble hat, gloves and wellies before ripping open the curtains nearly blinding me in the process from the bright morning light, 'it's snowing Jay, so you know what that means...' she pauses.
I shrug my shoulders and watch the snow hit the window, 'what does it mean y/n?'
y/n pouts before smiling widely, 'it means we can build a snowman.'
Before I can say anything in reply y/n is already out of the bedroom leaving me still processing everything that had just happened in bed. Growing up in England snow was a very rare occurrence and when it did snow it never stuck around for long which was why y/n always went about the perfect white Christmas. I roll out of bed and start to get dressed, wanting to see what damage y/n had already done outside. They were usually a little tightly wound so to see them relax and become almost childlike was refreshing. I wasn't against fun, I just liked a heads up first, but for y/n I would put on a smile and go outside to help.
After wrapping up because the snow was coming down quite heavy I head outside to see that y/n had done an okay job at building the base of the snowman but the other elements didn't quite fit, 'err y/n is that supposed to be a snowman? Where's the scarf and hat, why does it have a cape?'
y/n scowls at me and puts their hands on their hips, 'no it's a snowpire, you know a cross between a snowman and a vampire, can't you see the cape and fangs?'
I shake my head and can't keep the smile off my face, 'those don't look like fangs y/n, they look like normal stones.'
y/n huffs childishly, 'you just can't see my vision, Jay.'
I roll my eyes as I head back inside the warmth, I knew how y/n could make it a more convincing snowpire as they were calling it. Entering the kitchen I find two carrots and cut the tips off, these would be better fangs. I put them in my pocket and head back towards the front door.
As I approach y/n she was ranting about how rocks and stones don't come shaped like fangs, so I pull the carrot tips out of my pocket and put them in place of the two end stones, 'here two carrot tips can be the fangs.'
y/n's eyes light up and they throw their arms around me, 'oh my god Jay it's perfect. Thank you.'
I hug them back, our body heat keeping the other warm, 'now take a photo so we can head back inside and open presents.'
y/n pecks my lips and pulls out their phone. I step back as they snap photos that would be online in minutes, I manage to take a picture without them looking of them standing next to the snowpire looking really proud of themselves, this would be a beautiful memory in the future.

Aaron Goodwin x Reader
Let’s get in the Christmas mood!
Y/N
Christmas was your favourite time of year, well it used to be. This year had been hectic with you opening a new photography studio. Your fiancé Aaron was due back from an investigation this afternoon and you felt bad because you hadn't even thought about decorating the house for Christmas. He loved coming home to see all the lights on the Christmas tree and the stupid little decorations you'd both gathered over the years together scattered around the house.
All you could do was leave him a note saying you'd be back later because someone had broken two lights in your studio and they needed replacing as soon as possible. You hated not being there when he opened the door to your house, normally you'd scream his name and jump into his arms but today wasn't like all the other times.
AARON
I couldn't wait to see my beautiful fiancé again, Ghost Adventures had just finished a few back to back investigations and y/n had to stay back because she was setting up her very own photography studio because she wanted somewhere to work on her photography that looked more professional for clients.
When I pulled up to the house we'd bought together I couldn't help but notice that there were no Christmas lights outside which was odd, around this time in December the lights would be up and on. Jay was staying with us while his house was under reconstruction so when we walked into a bare hallway both of us were surprised to see the house empty and not a single Christmas decoration in sight.
'I thought you two loved Christmas Aaron? This place doesn't even have decorations on the tree.'
Jay was right both y/n and I loved Christmas. I found numerous boxes of decorations and lights which had been unopened. I left Jay to go unpack in his room as I trudged into the kitchen and noticed a note on the counter in y/n's familiar handwriting.
Aaron,
Sorry, I couldn't be there when you got back but I got called into the studio last minute as some idiot broke two lights. I'm sorry I couldn't have the house decorated for you but with the studio and editing pictures, I just have been rushed off my feet and had no time. I wanted the first Christmas in our new house to be special but I kind of ruined that. I'll be back later, tell Jay if he isn't already reading this letter over your shoulder that the fridge and cupboards are fully stocked with your favourite food.
y/n xxx
'We should do something for her Aaron.'
I jumped at the sound of Jay's voice behind me, y/n was right about him reading the letter over my shoulder. I felt bad that she was pinning the blame on ruining our Christmas on herself, I'd been away the last few weeks and she'd been left to deal with everything on her own. Jay was right about doing something for her.
'Jay do you think we could get the house decorated before she comes back from the studio? I think it will make her day if she comes back and the house is all festive.'
Jay nods, 'I could call the other two, four sets of hands are better than two. Plus they love y/n and will understand. You're a good fiancé, Mr Goodwin.'
It looked like we had a plan. If we could rope Zak and Billy in the decorations would get put up quicker. y/n was going to have the best surprise when she walked through that door.
Y/N
You got a message from Aaron just after the second light had been fixed, normally it would have taken a week to get replacements but you got things done when you were in a mood. Aaron's text lightened your mood.
AARON: We got back safe; Jay thanks you for the food. Hope you get the lights fixed and I can't wait to see you tonight. Four weeks is a long time and I have a surprise for you xxx
You wondered what the surprise could be as you finished a few things around your office. Usually, you hated surprises when people did them to you and Aaron knew this, but in the six years, you'd been together his surprises were the best.
Y/N: I'm heading back now so I should see you in half an hour if the traffic is good x
Aaron didn't reply and you thought nothing of it as you locked up the building and got into your car. You were surprised that Aaron hadn't bought up the lack of Christmas decorations; maybe he was being nice knowing you weren't in the best of moods. You were just happy that you had him back.
SKIP CAR RIDE
Pulling into your drive you did a double-take upon seeing Christmas lights lit up on the front of your house, you didn't remember putting them up. Had Aaron done this? Was this his surprise? He should have been resting after the investigations and not putting up decorations.
Before you could unlock the front door it opened revealing a smiling Aaron. He engulfed you in a hug and all your worries vanished, 'God I've missed you y/n.'
'I've missed you more Aaron. Did you put the lights up? You should be resting,' you fake scold.
He pulled back and grinned and only then did you notice he had a blindfold in one hand. You didn't question him as he turned you around and tied it around your head.
'That's only part of your surprise babe, I and my little elves did something else for you.'
He took your hand and led you into the house. It wasn't that long of a walk before he stopped you and told you to take the blindfold off. You took off the blindfold and gasped at the beautiful sight in front of you, Christmas had puked all over the lounge and hallway. The tree was decorated and lit up, stockings hung above the fireplace and tinsel-covered everywhere else. All the little decorations you'd gathered were placed around the room. You felt tears come to your eyes; this was the best surprise you could have ever asked for.
'It's beautiful Aaron; you didn't need to do this. This must have taken you a long time.'
He shrugged his shoulders, 'I had three little helpers who all agreed that you've been worked off your feet and deserved a nice surprise. Look up.'
You glance up and laugh upon seeing mistletoe hung above you, it was very well placed, 'I'd be a bit of a scrooge if I didn't kiss you, Aaron.'
'Jay is crashing at Billy's so we have the house to ourselves tonight. So we can do more than a kiss under the mistletoe,' he says, wiggling his eyebrows.
You smiled and wrapped your arms around his shoulders before standing on your tiptoes and kissed him. He smiled against your lips and picked you up around the waist before deepening the kiss. You had your fiancé back for Christmas and it finally looked like things were getting better. This was going to be the best Christmas yet.

Zak Bagans x Reader
Y/N
You and Zak had been best friends ever since your elementary school teacher made you share the bucket in the sandpit, the two of you hit it off and kept every other kid away from the pit because it was your special place.
You'd dated a few guys through high school but each one had broken your heart and Zak was always there with a tub of ice cream to cheer you up. He liked to tell you that one day the right guy will come along and sweep you off your feet and you'd get the happily ever after you dreamed of.
Whenever Zak passed through town with his crew for his show Ghost Adventures he made sure to spend some quality alone time with you away from the other guys. You got on well with Aaron, Billy, Nick and then Jay.
You sometimes swore that you saw something flash behind Zak's eyes when you'd playfully flirt or one of the other guys would compliment you. This is what you got for being the only girl in a group of guys, but you didn't mind because they were all stupid just like you.
When Ghost Adventures got big you and Zak slowly drifted apart, always having an excuse not to meet up. You went off to college to study Criminology because you were obsessed with the TV show CSI while he went around the world hunting ghosts.
*4 YEARS LATER*
You graduate with one of the highest grades in your class and you couldn't be happier, however when you sweep over the sea of faces you sigh because the one face you wanted to be there wasn't. Zak was somewhere off in Europe, but he'd texted you congratulations.
During your time at college, you'd found yourself the sweetest guy and had been dating for the last two years. He was studying to be a lawyer and the two of you got on like a house on fire. After college you expected him to propose and move in together, but after a long day at work, you decided to surprise him at his flat with a home-cooked meal however something was wrong. You open his door and can hear voices coming from the bedroom; you assume he's watching TV because he liked it quite loud. You drop the groceries on the counter and walk towards the bedroom, however, you stop and frown when you hear a girl scream your boyfriend's name.
Slamming the bedroom door open you're confronted with your long-term boyfriend screwing your ex-roommate. Too in shock you turn on your heels and run out of the apartment, how could you have been so blind as to the fact he was cheating on you? You assumed you'd found your prince charming but he did take a lot of work trips which he never fully explained.
Before you reach the front door an arm clamps down on your wrist stopping you dead in your tracks, you come face to face with your cheating boyfriend, actually screw that ex-boyfriend.
'I can explain y/n.'
'How do you explain screwing one of my best friends? How long has this been going on? All those unexplained businesses trips, god I was blind,' you say angrily, rage building up inside your usually calm body.
You run your hands through your hair while he sighs and scratches his head.
'I'm sorry y/n, but I needed my needs met and you were great and everything but you're too vanilla.'
You gasp and pull your hand back before slapping him across the cheek with all your strength, 'We are done you asshole.'
You run out of the apartment with tears streaming down your face, to a passerby you must look crazy with your mascara running and hair out of place but you didn't care anymore. You gave that asshole the last two years of your life and he'd been screwing other girls behind your back.
You knew the one place you needed to escape to, so you got in your car and drove back home most likely breaking a few speed limits along the way. This is when you needed your best friend Zak to tell you that the next guy that comes along will be the one who makes you happy for the rest of your life. You message your mum and explain everything and tell her you needed to escape so you won't be coming home for a couple of days. When in actual fact you were going to yours and Zak's hidden little cave in the woods not far from where you both grew up.
The two of you had discovered it one summer when you were younger and hadn't told a living soul because it was your special hiding place from the world and all its troubles.
You sit on a rock inside the cave, everything in your life was perfect; you'd graduated from college with a good degree, you had a successful boyfriend who could provide for you and lastly, you were about to walk into your dream job of a forensic investigator. But why then weren't you happy?
Sitting in the cave stirred memories of carefree days where Zak would joke about Ghost Adventures becoming a hit and you'd follow them around the world and live like every day was our last, as long as you and Zak were together nothing could bring the two of us down.
'y/n? Are you in here y/n?'
Speak of the devil and he shall appear, you wipe your eyes and glance up at the entrance of the cave where you hear the voice of your once best friend Zak. He sounded frantic which was unlike him.
'y/n I know you're in here, you told your mum you needed to escape and I remembered that was our code phrase for this place,' he calls out.
You can't help but smile, he remembered that little detail you'd come up with one night after your second boyfriend had broken your heart, 'Zak I'm in the back.'
You turn your attention back to your shoes. You don't need to turn back to know that Zak is making his way towards you, the cave echoes his every move.
He sits down next to you and pulls you into a hug; you rest your head on his shoulder and sigh. This is the Zak you missed, the kind boy who always knew how to cheer you up.
'Four years and we still know the old cycle. I get heartbroken and you comfort me. Four years is a long time Zak, we've both changed yet at the same time we're still the same,' you mumble.
Zak shuffles slightly, 'Remember what I use to tell you?'
You turn your head and glance up at your best friend, he smiles down at you and squeezes your shoulder, 'I do remember Zak. You said the next guy who came along would make me happy for the rest of my life. Why?'
Zak starts playing with your hair, a gesture that always seemed to calm you as well as him apparently, 'I have to tell you something y/n. I've been keeping it secret for all these years. I wanted to be the guy who made you happy for the rest of your life but I was scared you didn't feel the same.'
You blink a few times as you register his words; Zak wanted to be the guy who made you happy. You'd known each other for years, you told each other all your secrets, fears and even dreams. He knew you better than anyone in the whole world and vice versa and here he was confessing his love for you in the little cave.
'Please say something y/n. I understand you've just broken up with a douchebag and you might not even be ready for another relationship...but I...' he says, panicked.
You place a finger over his lips to silence him before he can ramble any further, he quirks an eyebrow confused by your action. Realisation dawns on you that you are in love with your best friend and vice versa. You needed to take a leap of faith before you lost him again.
'Zak you silly idiot who refused to share the sandpit with me when we were like four years old, the kind boy who always bought me a tub of my favourite ice cream after another failed relationship. I think I love you too.'
Before you know what's taken over you, you lean over and cup Zak's face before kissing him softly on the lips. Zak jerks slightly before wrapping his arms around your shoulder and deepens the kiss.
You both pull away.
'y/n will you be my girlfriend?' he asks, voice quiet and nervous.
'Yes, Zak,' you answer, unable to keep the smile off your face and in your voice.

Nick Groff x Reader
Y/N
October was a busy month for your husband Nick, being a paranormal investigator was tough work and long hours, so you liked to make sure he had a relaxing home to come back to after an investigation. This should have been the first Halloween Nick wasn't working, but last-minute plans took him away from you. You told him to go even though it made you sad. He wanted to help you hand out candy to the kids in preparation for when your child was older and could go trick or treating with their parents. You assured him that you and your unborn child would hand out candy and then snuggle on the sofa watching TV, a peaceful Halloween to what Nick had planned.
You might have gone overboard with buying candy, and after all the trick or treaters had come and gone you had a bag left with all your favourite chocolates in. Getting into cozy pj's with a blanket over you, and a bag of chocolates by your side was the ideal way to end this Halloween. Before you can open the bag your phone goes off with Nick's ringtone, which surprised you especially when you saw he wanted to facetime when he should be investigating.
You accept the call, holding the bag of chocolates grinning like an idiot, 'is it acceptable for me to buy a jumbo bag of chocolates and eat them myself while snuggled under a blanket watching tv? Asking for a friend.'
Nick's face appears on the screen smirking and shaking his head at your antics, 'you can eat as many as you like y/n and you'll still be beautiful to me.'
You blush, 'ah Nick so sweet, this is why I married you and let you get me pregnant.'
Nick gasps loudly, 'wow y/n go straight for the honesty. Did you get many trick or treaters?'
You nod, surprised how casual Nick sounded. The background was dark so you had no clue where he was, 'quite a few, got through one big bag of candy. The baby kicked when a kid dressed as a ghost came to the door, we might have a little investigator on our hands, Nick,' you gush.
Nick's eyes crinkle a little, a sign that he was upset, 'that's amazing, I wish I was there.'
You sigh, 'me too, how's the investigation going? You on a break?'
Nick shakes his head, 'what would you do if I showed up at the house right now?'
You hum and bite your lip, 'err let you eat as many chocolates as you want, why?'
You watch Nick's dark background light up, and you blink a couple of times before he smiles and hangs up.
'Happy Halloween y/n!' Nick's voice calls out behind you, making you jump.
'Nick!' you squeal, eyes wide in shock.
Nick was standing in the lounge doorway smirking at you. You had so many questions, but first, you get up and waddle over to him and hug him, 'what about the investigation?' you ask.
He kisses the top of your head before crouching down to kiss your baby bump, 'it got cancelled due to bad weather so I drove home as fast as I could to spend the last couple of hours of Halloween with you and our future ghost hunter as I promised.'
Still, in shock you let Nick guide you back to the sofa, where he takes his shoes off and joins you, putting the blanket back over you. This was the perfect way to end Halloween. However, your eyes wander to his hands which were reaching for chocolates and you pout remembering the promise you made him on the phone.
'Don't worry y/n, I'll leave you your favourites. I love you,' he hums, opening the bag.
You snuggle against him, I love you more, happy Halloween.'

Jay Wasley x Reader
Y/N
'Jay I got the pumpkins,' you call out as soon as you enter the home you shared with your partner Jay.
You walk into the kitchen and set the shopping bags down, placing two big pumpkins on the kitchen table. While you put away the rest of the shopping you hear Jay enter the kitchen behind you.
'Did you get enough candy? You know enough for us and the trick or treaters,' he asks, coming up behind you and hugs you.
You smile before taking two bags of candy out, 'Of course, I did Jay, now get the utensils so we can carve us some pumpkins.'
Jay lets go of you and heads off to get the pumpkin cutting tools. The two of you took Halloween very seriously, you'd think with Jay's job you'd both want to take a break but it was the complete opposite. There was kind of an expectation from the neighbours that we had the best pumpkin designs and we tried to up our effort each year.
'What are you going to design this year y/n?' Jay asks, as you turn and watch him place the tools on the table.
'I don't know, it will be a surprise for both of us, shall we begin?' you answer and roll up the sleeves of your jumper not wanting to get pumpkin guts on you.
You let Jay cut the tops off and scoop out the insides, while you pour a bunch of candy into a bowl on the table to snack on. Unlike you who liked to have some sort of vague idea for a design, Jay liked to dive in without a second thought which is exactly what he was doing now, carving away with a look of serious concentration on his face.
'Careful Jay, go slower, I don't need you to hurt yourself,' you say sternly, but love how into it he was.
'I won't cut myself y/n, you worry too much,' he scoffs.
You roll your eyes knowing this wouldn't end well for him and go back to your pumpkin. Fifteen minutes of comfortable silence later Jay gasps loudly.
'Did you cut yourself Jay?' you ask, not looking up from your pumpkin.
You hear sucking coming from Jay indicating he'd cut himself and was trying to stop the bleeding, 'Nope, I'm all good over here y/n.'
Without looking over at him you walk away from the table and open the cabinet under the sink where you kept the first aid kit, 'let me take a look, Jay.'
When you approach the table with the kit Jay pouts and shows you his thumb which had a deep wound across it, 'do you think I'll need stitches?'
You shake your head and hand him a tea towel, 'no babe, put pressure on it while I get the bandage ready.'
Jay holds the towel to his thumb and motions towards his pumpkin, 'do you think the neighbours will think it's fake blood y/n?'
You turn his pumpkin to see a spooky face splattered with blood, 'they'll believe anything we tell them. A very artistic touch with the blood.'
Jay chuckles as you remove the tea towel and begin bandaging his thumb, 'this tops last years pumpkin, but what do I do next year? Do I need to cut a limb off?'
You smirk at his gory ideas, 'as long as you cut off the limb outside and not in the house on the carpet you can do that.'
You tape the bandage to keep it in place and kiss it better, 'I think that's enough carving for one night Jay, shall we watch a film?'
Jay nods, 'a film sounds nice, I think we need to cuddle to make the pain go away.'
You stand up and begin clearing the pumpkin mess up when Jay tugs you down onto his lap and kisses you on the lips, 'what was that for Jay?'
He blushes a little, 'I love you y/n.'
You peck his lips back, 'I love you more, but you're not getting out of pumpkin cleaning up duty babe.'
Jay pouts, 'worth a shot.'
After the two of you clean up the kitchen you retreat to the lounge. While Jay picks a film, you take his bloody pumpkin and light a tea candle inside before placing it on the coffee table in front of you. The two of you then cuddle on the sofa for the rest of the night until the tea candle goes out.

Oh Halloween, the time of year where kids dress up and go around trick or treating, while houses compete to see who has the best and spookiest decorations. You and Billy lived like it was Halloween every day because of your jobs, both of you being paranormal investigators on tv different tv shows. Halloween was all fun and games for normal people, but if they witnessed a fraction of what goes bump in the night they'd end up sleeping with all the lights on.
When you found out you were pregnant a year ago you and Billy decided to move to a nice suburb outside of Vegas to start your family. You moved into your new home one month after the birth of your twins one boy and one girl. The neighbourhood was safe, in a good school district, but what you loved most was having a huge backyard the kids could play in when they were older.
Zak, Aaron and Jay had come over to help Billy put together the twin's room, they'd also been present at the birth and you and Billy decided to make the three of them godparents along with your two older sisters. Zak freaked out but once he held the twins he relaxed, starting a competition with Aaron and Jay on who would be the favourite uncle.
You'd decided to take a few months off work to be home with the kids while insisting Billy continued since you had a decent alarm system and a loud dog to keep the three of you safe. Halloween was usually hectic for investigators but Ghost Adventures had filmed their Halloween special in advance so Billy could be home.
The twins weren't old enough to trick or treat yet so Billy suggested you go for a walk around the neighbourhood, so you get the kids togged up and in their prams, Billy pushing your daughter while you pushed your son. Your house was the least decorated, not because you were lazy, but because you believed the minimal look was nicer and spookier. All the other houses looked over the top and extravagant.
'Now that's too many fake cobwebs y/n,' Billy jokes as you pass by a house that looked like a spider orgy.
You snort, then point across the road, 'do you think they know all those dead people?'
Billy smirks as you both take in a garden full of fake tombstones and some fake skeletons leaning against them.
'I heard a rumour about us when I went to the local shop y/n,' Billy says, a hint of amusement in his voice.
You hum, 'tell me.'
'People think our jobs are scarier than our decorations. The reason our house looks basic is that it is haunted,' he replies.
You can't help but burst into laughter, 'that's stupid, and some people are ignorant. It just means now we can have fun in the future.'
Billy chuckles, 'hopefully we have some trick or treaters because I bought a lot of candy.'
You roll your eyes, 'if not we have a garbage bin called Aaron.'
The two of you continue your stroll making fun of decorations as you go by each house. Halloween was going to be interesting in the future, maybe you could get both the crews to join in on the spooks to make a real authentic haunted house.

Fall was your favourite time of year, you loved everything about the season from wearing sweaters to the leaves changing colours and falling at your feet as you walked through the local park to get to the bakery shop you owned called Simply Desserts. Fall also meant Halloween your favourite holiday which allowed you to decorate the shop as soon as October 1st rolled around. Your creative window displays always drew customers in.
With fall comes the infamous pumpkin spice craze. You weren’t a big fan of the flavour but you tried to put it in as many baked goods as you could because customers craved it. Your staple pumpkin pie was a bestseller all year round, and this year you’d decided to experiment. You were still selling normal pumpkin pies, but your new creation had you adding green food colouring to the crust and a stencil design of a generic carved pumpkin face on top with chocolate dusting gave it extra depth.
Just as you take a fresh pie out of the oven and place it on the cooling rack the bell chimes above the front door indicating a customer, so you walk out of the kitchen, smiling when you see a familiar face except this time he wasn’t alone.
‘Good morning Aaron. I see you’re not alone today,’ you say, throwing a cloth over your shoulder you’d used to dry your hands after a quick wash.
Aaron scratches his head looking a little nervous which wasn’t like him, usually, he came in all hyper and excited. You knew what he did for a living so you knew his friends were also his colleagues Zak, Billy and Jay.
Zak steps forward and extends his hand, ‘hi you must be y/n, we’ve heard a lot about you and your baked goods from this guy.’
You chuckle and walk around the counter to shake Zak’s hand, ‘and I’ve heard a lot about you guys, big fan of the show. Can I get you guys something to eat?’
Billy clears his throat, ‘we’ve heard about your pumpkin pie, Aaron says they are to die for.’
As you remove your hand from Zak’s you take note of Aaron’s blush, was he embarrassed? He came in daily and fell in love with your pumpkin pie, and over the past year, the two of you got to know each other well.
‘I just made a fresh one if you guys want to take a seat. Would you like it plain? Or with cream or ice cream?’ you ask going into host mode.
Zak and Billy go for cream, Jay goes for ice cream and Aaron doesn’t say anything but you know he takes it plain. You walk back into the kitchen leaving the door a little ajar as the guys pick a table near the counter.
‘Why did you guys have to come? You embarrassed me,’ Aaron whines.
‘Because you’ve talked about y/n for a whole year and of course we’re going to be curious,’ Zak speaks up.
‘Also we knew if you came alone you’d chicken out of asking them on a date,’ Billy chimes in.
You nearly cut your hand with the knife you were using to cut the pie when you heard Billy say Aaron had come here to ask you out. Did you like Aaron? Of course, you did, who wouldn’t love his huge personality, humour and compassion. Now you knew the feelings were mutual.
‘Go help y/n in the kitchen,’ Jay suggests.
You hear a chair move and you go back to slicing up the pie humming to yourself, and then Aaron walks into the kitchen looking even more nervous and flushed.
‘You okay Aaron?’ you ask.
Aaron nods and takes a deep breath, ‘I have two questions y/n. Question one, will you go on a date with me? And question two, what the hell if that green monstrosity?’
You can’t help but laugh, this was the weirdest way you’d been asked out, ‘wow insult my baking Aaron. But yes I will go on a date with you.’
Aaron lets out the breath he’d been holding, closes the space between us and hugs you. He gave the best hugs you’d ever received.
‘Wow so romantic dude, this is one to tell the kids,’ Zak mocks, stood in the doorway with Billy and Jay behind him while Billy filmed the scene.
Aaron releases you but stays by your side, ‘seriously guys?’
You roll your eyes, ‘if you’re in my kitchen then you’re going to work. Aaron get the plates, Zak continue slicing the pie, Billy get the cream out of the fridge and Jay the ice cream is in the freezer behind you.’
When no one moves you snap your fingers which stirs the guys into action. You wish you had your phone on you so you could film the Ghost Adventures crew helping out in your bakery.
Aaron squeezes your waist, ‘I’m going to eat the green pie to make it up to you y/n.’
‘Yes you are Goodwin now get to work,’ you say sternly, but can’t keep the smile off your face.

Zak Bagans (Vampire) x Reader
Tumblr media
Y/N
You never did have the best track record when it came to being safe, it was as if danger and near-death followed you everywhere you went but your boyfriend Zak was mysteriously always there to save you. He'd make you drink some homemade medicine which would have you feeling brand new in a day or two. It cut down on hospital bills.
You and Zak were returning back from a date when your car was smashed into by a large truck, running you off the road and with enough force you're ejected from the car. You can hear Zak shouting your name as your vision starts to blur, he sounds fine but that's impossible because the two of you had just been in a car crash.
Sleep overcomes you and closing your eyes seems like a good idea, however before the darkness takes over you feel something wet on your lips. It was probably blood from a head injury but something inside you told you to part your lips slightly and swallow. It was as if you could hear Zak's voice in your head. Then the darkness overcame you.
*2 DAYS LATER*
You slowly start to open your eyes, you remember very little from the accident but you were adamant your injuries should have killed you. You sit up in bed, yours and Zak's bed to be precise and notice there's no sign of injury on your body.
On the bedside table is a glass of Zak's homemade medicine, you drink it without hesitation as you always did. Though this time you taste something metallic, you bring the glass up to your nose and sniff. Blood, that's what you can smell. But why would there be blood in the juice you just drank?
You needed to find Zak and get some answers because you were seriously starting to freak out. Carefully you climb out of bed only then noticing that Zak had put you in one of his shirts which reached your knees. What exactly happened after the crash? Zak should have been injured just like you.
Walking down the staircase you get to the bottom step where a patch of sunlight seeps through the front door window. The second the sun makes contact with your skin your foot starts to hiss and you jump back as you feel the skin on your foot blister. What was wrong with you? sunlight didn't normally burn people like that.
'Zak,' you call out.
You get no reply. Carefully you edge your way around the patch of sunlight on the stairs and edge your way into the living room. The curtains are wide open and sunlight floods the room, you instinctively cover your eyes with your hand which is odd because you're never normally sensitive to light like this. A stray beam hits your hand and you hiss in pain before jumping back into a patch of shadow by the bookcase.
You started to freak out, what was going on with your body? You'd never felt this weak before, back in bed you felt fine because the curtains were closed but now you felt the energy leaving your body. You begin to sob silently and sink to the floor clutching your hands over your knees. Maybe Zak can offer an explanation.
*EVENING*
Zak hadn't returned home all day leaving you trapped in the small shadow in the living room. You were unable to reach your phone, by now you had cried all the tears out of your body and had begun shaking uncontrollably. Then suddenly you hear the front door open and Zak casually drops his keys into the pot, he was whistling.
'y/n are you up?'
You try to stand up but your body is weak and you collapse back to the floor. You manage to knock over a book which causes Zak to run into the living room, his eyes scan the room frantically before they latch onto you. His face drops as he darts beside you in a second.
'What are you doing down here?' he speaks frantically.
You gasp, fighting for breath 'I woke up and you were gone. I came downstairs but the sunlight hurt me, I've been trapped here all day because the sun kept coming through the windows. Why did the sun hurt me?'
Zak glances over at the open curtains and curses under his breath. He examines your hand and foot which still has slight burn marks on them.
'I'll explain everything to you, babe, after you drink this.'
Next thing you know his eyes have turned black and his canines have extended and he's biting into his wrist. Your eyes bulge at the sight of blood trickling from the wound. You believed in the supernatural world, but Zak couldn't possibly be a vampire as he showed no signs. He was obsessed with Dracula but you simply thought it was a quirk.
'I never should have left you, I thought you'd take more time to heal. Come on drink up, it will make you stronger,' he says with urgency in his voice.
He brings his wrist up to your mouth and as much as you find the idea of drinking his blood repulsive, something inside you stirs and suddenly you're craving the crimson liquid.
You pull away after a minute or so and already you feel strength returning to your body. Zak stands up and brushes the dust off his trousers before bending down and scooping you up bridal style. You should have been more scared by the monster holding you in his arms, but he still looked and acted like the man you fell in love with.
'Let's get you back upstairs love,' he speaks softly.
Before you know it you're back in the bedroom and Zak is placing you back in bed, however, he doesn't leave this time. Instead, he climbs onto the bed next to you and rests your head on his chest as he starts to play with your hair.
'If you haven't already guessed it by now y/n I'm a vampire.'
You nod in understanding, 'yeah I kind of conned onto the whole black eyes, extended canines and blood. How old are you? And why did you lie to me? Oh yeah, and what the hell happened last night?'
Zak chuckles, 'I'm 150 give or take a few years, after a while vampires stop counting birthdays. Now the reason I lied to you is that I didn't want to lose you. That night when we met in the club I was at one of my lowest points where I craved blood and would kill anything with a pulse. I saw you sitting at the bar and as much as I wanted to drink your blood, I couldn't bring myself to physically harm you. When that creep was hitting on you I was jealous and protective, I did kill him by the way. But once I got to know you I knew I'd found the reason to switch my humanity back on.'
He sounded genuine, and it made you feel warm inside that he was jealous of another guy hitting on you.
'I'd just lost my job that day and was looking for a little adventure. Then you came along and I got to have my adventure, give or take a few times you talked me out of things for fear of my own safety,' you joke.
Zak sighs, 'It takes a lot to kill a vampire y/n, whereas humans are easy to break.'
It was your turn to chuckle, it felt like you were having a normal conversation with your boyfriend who just happened to be a 150-year-old vampire, 'we were in a pretty bad crash last night. What happened? Because my mind is drawing blanks after I passed out.'
'We were hit by an oil tanker, the driver was over the limit and unfortunately didn't die but chose to do a runner. You were thrown from the car and I fed you my blood to heal you, however, if a human dies with vampire blood in his system then they start the transition into becoming a vampire.'
That explained the weakness to sunlight and the weak body, Zak had turned you into a vampire because he didn't want to watch you die. However, you were curious about the transition and what happened to the driver.
'What happens during the transition?' You ask, genuinely interested and a little scared.
'You have to drink blood from a human. That glass I left you earlier which you drank contained the blood of the driver. He had no regard for your life and chose to run instead of calling an ambulance so I took his life to save yours.'
Okay so that explained what happened to the driver, his blood was in your system and that was turning you into a vampire. But you had so many more questions. Zak seemed relatively calm and willing to answer, after all, he had made you immortal without your consent.
'How can you walk in sunlight whereas it burned me?' you question.
Zak shifts himself from under you and pulls something out of his jacket pocket. It's a small black box, 'vampires can only walk in sunlight if they have a ring made by a witch, luckily I know a friendly witch who made mine. Here give me your hand y/n.'
You lazily lift your hand up while Zak pops open the little black box, inside is the prettiest ring you've ever seen. You can tell it was handcrafted and looks like it's been through the ages.
'Zak the ring is gorgeous,' you gasp.
Zak smirks and slips the ring out of the box, 'this was crafted by my father 170 years ago, he gave it to my mother and then my mum handed it to me and told me to only put it on the finger of the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my days with. I had the witch spell it so you'll be able to walk in sunlight, will you do the honours of marrying me y/n?'
Your mouth drops open, those were the last words you expected to come out of his mouth. Was this why he was out all day? You should have been flattered that he'd waited 150 years to find the right person, and you couldn't believe that person was you.
Ever since you were a little girl you'd always planned how you were going to get married. Maybe to a vampire wasn't the initial plan but things change, you were both vampires and that meant he'd be stuck with you for a very long time.
'Yes, Zak I will marry you.'
You've never seen a bigger smile on Zak's face than right now, he slides the ring onto your finger before pulling you in for a kiss. You smirk against his lips and pull away slightly.
'You do know you're now stuck with me, Zak.'
He chuckles, 'I think I can handle you y/n.'

Zak Bagans x Reader
Y/N
You were in the process of packing up your apartment because you were moving in with your boyfriend Zak from Ghost Adventures. You didn't realise how many photos you'd kept of your teenage and college years until you found shoeboxes full of polaroids. Many were of you and friends but a few of your exes were scattered throughout, that was one part of your life Zak didn't know about.
Every teenager goes through a stage where they question their sexuality and whether or not they like boys or girls. You'd had boyfriends but also had girlfriends in college because at first, it started as experimental, but you soon discovered you had feelings for both genders and identified yourself as bisexual.
When you met Zak at a meet and greet you'd not long broken up from your girlfriend of three months. As cliché as it sounded, you thought that you would never find someone to love. But little did you know that the prince of darkness would come into your life and show you that someone could love you. Then again he didn't know you were into girls as well, and now you'd been together ten months and you were afraid of his reaction if he found out. You didn't want to lose him.
Without thinking, you'd left the shoeboxes in the lounge on the coffee table not thinking that Zak and the rest of the GA crew might look through them. You were sorting out your wardrobe when you heard loud laughing come from the lounge.
'Babe come here for a second I need to ask you something.'
Zak's voice echoed through your small apartment and you sighed, they were supposed to be packing up the lounge and you bet they were messing around like they usually did when they were all together.
'What is it, Zak?'
You strolled into the lounge and your eyes bulged at the sight of the guys going through your photos. Internally you cursed yourself for not moving the box. Aaron looked up at you and grinned holding a photo of you and your ex-girlfriend Rose, the girl you dated before Zak.
'You never told us you went through a phrase in college y/n.'
You flinched at the word 'phrase' it was the exact word your parents used when you first told them you liked girls and boys, they were disappointed that they didn't have a normal daughter who wanted to marry a guy. They weren't particularly religious but you never took any of your girlfriends home.
'Oh look here are some more, damn y/n you got around.'
Billy looks through more photos; they were all your exes. You chew your lip and glance at Zak who had a confused look on his face. You sigh and run a hand through your hair.
'Zak you said you wanted to ask me something?'
You ignored the rest of the crew who had gone back to looking through the photos. It was like you and Zak were in your little bubble.
'Why do you have so many pictures of you kissing girls?'
This was the question you dreaded him asking, well not exactly worded the way he put it but similar. Would he judge you as your parents had? Would he break up with you because you lied all these months? You just needed to tell him and deal with the consequences.
'Err Zak most of the girls in those pictures are my exes. I'm sorry I lied to you but I thought you'd hate me because I like girls as well as guys.'
The rest of the crew fell silent while Zak simply stared at you.
'Please say something Zak,' you beg.
'Damn that was unexpected,' Jay chimes in.
Both you and Zak glared at Jay who shrinks away after interrupting your moment with your boyfriend. Zak gets up off the sofa and walks towards you, was he going to break it off with you? His face was expressionless and this was odd because normally he wore his emotions on his sleeve. You gulp and wait for the words to leave his mouth.
"Why didn't you tell me y/n? This is something pretty big.'
'Because most times when I tell guys I also kiss girls you'd think they'd be down with it but most of the time they ridicule me. I've had boyfriends as well as girlfriends ever since high school Zak. That day at the meet and greet I told you I'd just come out of a relationship and you assumed it was a guy, her name was Rose and she's the girl in Aaron's photo. When you assumed my ex was a guy I panicked because I liked you so I lied because I didn't want to lose you. My parents practically disowned me when they found out they didn't have a normal daughter, I'm bisexual there I said it. Now I understand if you want to dump me, I'd dump me if I was in your shoes. Find yourself a normal girlfriend who likes dicks instead of tits and dicks."
It all came out in one big spew, it was a nervous habit of yours but it felt like a weight had been lifted off your shoulders telling Zak. You kind of hoped that the rest of the crew wouldn't be present but they'd find out eventually.
You waited for Zak to flip out on you but instead of being angry, he smirked. This worried you because if you were in his shoes you'd be flipping out.
'I'm not going to dump you because you like tits as well as dicks. I would have liked to have known but I love you y/n and nothing's going to change that.'
He pulled you into a hug while the rest of the guys cheered. It was odd having someone accept your sexuality, your parents never understood but you had a boyfriend who was one in a million.
'I love you to Zak,' you gush.
The two of you kiss and then you feel a cushion hit you in the side of the head pulling the two of you apart. Aaron sits pouting on the floor.
'Don't worry Zak will still have time for you and the guys Aaron,' you joke and sit down next to him on the sofa and pick up a beer bottle before taking a large swig.
Aaron grins like a mad man, 'she's a keeper Zak.'
Zak smirks, 'don't I know it Aaron, now let's get back to packing.'
The five of you spend the rest of the night packing and reminiscing about the past and what was going to happen in the future.

JAY
How the hell had this happened? I wasn't supposed to go inside and neither was y/n. I was meant to monitor the cameras and equipment while y/n helped me since the show kept getting more popular. Yet when we'd been watching Zak, Aaron and Billy split up to explore different areas it was clear to both of us that the mood and atmosphere inside the building were changing and not for the better. So when Zak started to get angry, while Aaron got upset and Billy paranoid I volunteered to go inside alone but y/n insisted on coming with me for backup.
Now the two of us walked side by side through the darkness holding cameras hoping the guys hadn't left their areas because it would make this potentially more dangerous as neither of us knew what we were stepping into.
'I hope you're the last one to discover your breaking point Jay because it's the only way we are getting out of here,' y/n whispers, keeping close to me.
'Unlike the others, we wear protection y/n so it will take a lot to break us,' I reply, and in my camera monitor, I see y/n smile and fiddle with the charm around their neck.
We get to the top floor where Zak was and y/n walks off ahead of me leaving me to bring up the rear, I didn't want to let them out of my sight, 'please stay close y/n.'
'ZAK!' y/n calls out into the darkness, 'IT'S Y/N AND JAY.'
We walk past a couple of empty rooms and with nothing happening the dread started to grow, a real-life horror film moment when anything could jump out and get us. Just as I reach down to grab my walkie talkie to try and reattempt to contact Aaron and Billy in front of me y/n screams.
'Y/N!' I yell, panic in my voice, having only looked away for a second.
I raise my camera and y/n is nowhere in sight. I run forwards frantically checking out each room but don't find any trace of y/n until I come up to the last room and hear what sounded like shuffling and something being muffled.
'Y/N?' I call out before I step foot in the room and freeze, 'WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING ZAK? LET GO OF Y/N!'
Zak had y/n pinned against the wall, his hand over their mouth and was muttering something incoherent under his breath. y/n stares at me with wide eyes and I put my camera down and run to their aid, however, when I pull on Zak he is a lot stronger and doesn't budge.
'ZAK THIS ISN'T YOU, DON'T LET IT CONTROL YOU! DON'T LET IT HURT YOUR FRIEND! PLEASE LET Y/N GO!' I shout, shaking Zak.
Zak's head snaps in my direction and I don't recognise him which chilled me to the core, however it gives y/n enough wiggle room to break free and grab my arm, 'Jay let's get out of here,' they beg, shaken up.
Zak blinks a few times and I feel the tension leave his body and slowly he comes back to us, 'Zak, it's Jay can you hear me?' I say calmly.
Tears stream down Zak's cheeks as he begins to shake uncontrollably and drops to his knees in front of y/n, 'y/n I'm so sorry, forgive me.'
y/n crouches down and hugs the weeping male, 'I understand Zak, it wasn't you, you scared me by dragging me in here, now how about the three of us get out of here.'
I help y/n get Zak to his feet and grab our cameras before we leave the horrible room. This wasn't the first time y/n had been attacked, Aaron and Billy had been possessed and came close to hurting y/n in the past, but it was never easy to watch which was why I insisted they stay in base with me, and I'd continue to stand by my words.
Once we get outside Aaron and Billy run up to us looking concerned and take Zak off of us. I manage to sit y/n down on a wall and they hug me tightly.
'The charm helped Jay, Zak went for my throat but something repelled him,' y/n mumbles.
I gulp nervously and hug them back, 'then I will get you a hundred charms y/n. I will continue to protect you.'
y/n chuckles into my chest, 'thank you, Jay. Next time you volunteer to go in alone I'll let you.'
I shake my head and continue to hug them, knowing Zak would feel even guiltier in the morning and didn't need me shouting at him right now.

Nick Groff x Reader (REQUEST)
Y/N
'For the love of God I'm going to break this camera in a minute,' Nick growls, roughly putting the camera down on the equipment table in base camp.
You look over at Billy your brother who was busy setting up monitors seeing he wasn't going to be any help. Aaron was out with Zak filming interviews for tonight's lockdown leaving Nick to get some exterior shots. You'd think with all this equipment the guys would be tech-savvy, but moments like this reminded you that they weren't experts at everything like they sometimes portrayed on TV.
Billy had hired you to help lug around and set up equipment because you were quite knowledgeable having worked behind the scenes on TV shows, he also said it was nice to finally have someone who understood what he was saying. It was only meant to be a short side gig but Zak asked you to stay on for the whole season because it was helpful and they didn't have time to hire someone permanent yet. Nick always seemed to have bad luck with cameras, especially since Zak insisted on getting new models whenever they were released.
'Do you need my help Groff?' you ask, turning in your chair to face him.
He huffs but nods, 'why do we always need new cameras when the old ones still work fine?'
You shrug your shoulders and get up, 'trust me I'm with you on that. Now let's get this sorted before the others come back and mock you.'
You pick up the camera and turn it over in your hands to see if there was a technical fault or exterior damage but it seemed to be in working condition, so you take out the battery and plug it in to find that it had been drained, 'somethings drained the battery Nick, have you been inside yet?'
Nick shakes his head, 'only outside if it can drain from that distance I shudder to think what will happen tonight when we're locked inside.'
You put in a new battery and the camera turns back on, 'I'll make sure to charge extra batteries for tonight.'
Nick nods and takes the camera back, 'thanks y/n.'
You smile, 'admit it, Nick.'
Nick smirks, 'admit what y/n?'
You stick your tongue out playfully, 'that your life would suck without me.'
Nick clicks his tongue in response, 'okay, my life would suck without you in it y/n Tolley.'
Billy clears his throat behind the two of us, 'you don't need to stroke her ego Nick, her head might get as big as Zak's one day.'
Nick throws his head back and laughs, 'don't let the prince of darkness hear you say that Billy. now I'm going to love and leave the Tolley's.'
You shake your head at your brother who laughs as Nick leaves, 'you won't be laughing when they decide to throw you in a haunted building one night to prove yourself, brother. I won't help you with your equipment.'
Billy raises his hands in mock surrender, while you take the drained battery and put it on a charge with a few others. tonight you'd keep an extra eye on all the guys.

BILLY
y/n had left her phone at our apartment and I knew she needed it because it had her work schedule on. She was on a photo shoot for some alternative clothing line so I could drop it off on my way to the office to help edit the next season of Ghost Adventures.
I was let onto the shoot easily; everyone knew y/n. y/n was a very genuine and friendly person which you didn't get that often in the modelling business, which made y/n very attractive to photographers and companies.
Some model taps me on the shoulder; she looked familiar so maybe I'd seen her hanging out with y/n once or twice, 'you must be Billy, y/n's just through those doors.'
'Err thanks. She left her phone; will the photographer mind me going in?'
'No he won't mind, but be wary around him because he's kind of creepy. He made me and some of the other girls feel uncomfortable, but y/n is too nice to say anything to him.'
I thank the model and make my way towards the doors. y/n had worked with creeps before, she assured me it was all a part of her job description.
The room was set up to look like something out of a Goths wet dream; y/n was in her element being a huge fan of this kind of stuff. I watched as she was directed how to pose against a black backdrop by some hipster wannabe holding a camera.
'No, you're not standing right y/n. Here let me show you what I mean.'
I watch as the photographer waltzes over to y/n and stands behind her getting a little too close for comfort. I wouldn't have minded if my girlfriend was wearing less revealing clothes because sometimes photographers had to be hands-on. But this guy was being hands-on because he could and wanted to. He parts her legs and holds her hand before guiding it across her chest quite slowly. A look of unease flashes across y/n's face as the guy brushes her hair over one shoulder and strokes her neck for a few seconds.
Enough was enough so I clear my throat grabbing both of their attention. y/n's eyes light up and she smiles, while the photographer shoots me daggers.
'Billy, what are you doing here?'
I hold up her phone and she all but runs towards me throwing her arms around my neck.
'Thanks for bringing this babe. How long were you watching?'
'Long enough to not like this guy y/n,' I whisper.
y/n chuckles, 'Billy at the end of the day you're the only guy that gets to kiss me and see me naked. Besides no one here likes him so he won't work with us again. You're cute when you're jealous.'
I scoff, 'I'm not jealous y/n.'
The photographer walks over and y/n stands by my side.
'Billy meet Paul, the photographer.'
'Billy, I'm a big fan of the show. y/n is wonderful to photograph,' he gushes.
I reluctantly shake his hand plastering on a fake smile, 'thanks, I just came to drop off my girlfriend's phone.'
Paul's face drops slightly at my bombshell but he quickly recomposes himself. So he did like y/n, well she was mine and only mine.
'When you're ready to continue the shoot just head back on over y/n. It was nice meeting you, Billy.'
y/n playfully hits me in the side shaking her head as Paul walks away, 'I love when you get jealous and possessive Billy. But I really need to get to the office before the guys kill me.'
Seeing Paul watching us over y/n's shoulder I take the opportunity to kiss my girlfriend. y/n kisses me back and I know I can leave her here and not worry about Paul making any uncalled for moves. Now I was happy y/n left her phone at home.
