Reblogging this here too, because I got something to say. As per usual.
Did you know stretch marks are completely normal and a lotttttt of people have them?
Stretch marks are caused by rapidly expanding and shrinking skin. Cortisol can impact it too! Cortisol does a lot for your body!
Anyway. Stretch marks can happen when you gain and lose weight quickly (which can be caused by certain medications, but is not always), including literally any kind of weight.
It's okay to not like your stretch marks! You don't have to love everything about yourself all the time! It's important to know that your body and your attractiveness do not impact your worth as a person.
REBLOG IF YOU HAVE STRETCHMARKS
This way people can see they’re not alone. I have them and this would help me see that.

i got this today on amazon and i’ve read a bunch of reviews and i genuinely think this could solve all of my sensory problems that make brushing my teeth such a nightmare
first off: it’s a gel consistency which is less gritty and does not irritate my teeth
it is also a similar formula as sensodyne or at least does the same stuff since it’s fluoridated, cavity preventing, strengthens enamel and is designed with sensitive teeth in mind but without some of the toxic stuff meaning that if you swallow it it’s not a big deal
the last thing i’ll mention is Flavor and Theme— it’s blue raspberry flavored which is my favorite candy flavor ever, also it’s themed after dragons and has a dissolvable food safe glitter to it! that’s so cool!!
if you’re like me and you have sensory issues that make you not want to brush your teeth, i highly recommend getting a flavored toothpaste and don’t worry if it’s labeled as “for kids” like this one is, because if you look at the ingredients and stuff that it’s designed for you’ll notice that adults need all of that too so it’s actually fine
Tumblr media
there is a brand who makes flavored toothpastes aimed at adults called Hismile, which i will also recommend because:
- gel consistency
- pump packaging that’s slim and easy for travel
- same quality; fluoridated, meant for sensitive teeth, cavity prevention, enamel strengthening and non-toxic
anyways i hope this helps anyone else with sensory problems!!

i feel like no one really wants to hear that sleep/exercise/nutrition/hydration are major factors in treating mental health issues bc we’ve all talked to that person who thinks your depression would be cured by one good session of goat yoga or whatever but unfortunately they do help and i’m chronically annoyed about it

My face is having uncontrollable spasms. Great. It hurts really, really, really bad.
I think part of why I have trouble explaining pain to the doctor is when they ask about the pain scale I always think “Well, if someone threw me down a flight of stairs right now or punched me a few times, it would definitely hurt a lot more” so I end up saying a low number. I was reading an article that said that “10” is the most commonly reported number and that is baffling to me. When I woke up from surgery with an 8" incision in my body and I could hardly even speak, I was in the most horrific pain of my life but I said “6” because I thought “Well, if you hit me in the stomach, it would be worse.”

I don't know what 13 year old, or 14 year old, or just any teenager needs to hear this, but I fucking promise, you don't need to watch real life gore videos.
You don't need to watch it to get better at drawing blood/gore. You don't need to watch it because you think it makes you cool. You don't need to watch it to get "desensitized" to the status quo that the internet has set up when it comes to gore footage. You don't need to watch it in general, you shouldn't watch it.
It's not worth it, it's not worth the trauma, paranoia, or other mental ramifications that come from seeing someone die on video. You might think you're fine in that moment, but it comes back to bite you in the ass years down the line.

Do not become complacent in your suffering. The depression devil on your shoulder wants you to give up. I (the angel 😇) want you to go outside. Open a window. Get out of bed and sit on the floor. Brush your teeth with a super soft toothbrush for like 30 seconds. Rinse your mouth with water. Take a shower. Sit down in the shower. Take a "whore bath" (yes that's what it's called. Literally just use a baby wipe and wipe your armpits, any folds (underboob, tummy, etc.) and crotch/butt region). Put on your least dirty/most clean comfy clothes. Take meds. Drink water (add lemon juice and ice). Eat something (favorite food/food that tastes the least bland?) even if it's just a little bit. Call a friend. Go to a local cafe and get some good coffee and just sit and be with others IRL if you can.
It's okay not to be okay. You're not a failure. You're not a disappointment. You're not a moral wrong. It's okay to not trust me. But I've been there. It took hard work and a lot of complaining but I'm here and I'm happy and I've been there. I remember. I remember it, laying in my bed. I remember the dull, gray existence. I remember the fear. The pain. The deafening noise and silence in my mind. I know it feels pointless. It's okay. One step at a time. One foot in front of the other, yeah? It's okay to stumble. It's okay to fall. It's okay to mess up, make mistakes, be gross. You're human. And I love you.

give love to people with traumatic brain injury, acquired brain injury, stroke, neurological condition, worsening mental health, trauma, PTSD and all other brain based conditions that make you feel conflicted about your identity. About whether or not you’re the ‘same person’ you were before your injury or illness. People constant evolve and change but can be more difficult when changes more sudden, pronounced, and noticed by others. I hope you are doing well and are able to find some peace, support and love.

It's okay to forget things. It's okay if your memory is a bit messed up. It's okay if you can't remember what you had for breakfast but you can remember what happened last month. It's okay if your brain doesn't meet the expectations of others- they do not determine your worth.
