noun โ verb
This post will show you how to change nouns into verbs; if you want to see how to turn nouns into verbs, check out this post. In some cases, not all, nouns can be turned into verbs by simply adding the verb ํ๋ค (to do).
some example words
์์ [swimming] + ํ๋ค = ์์ํ๋ค [to swim]
๋ชจํ [adventure] + ํ๋ค = ๋ชจํํ๋ค [to have an adventure]
์ฌํ [travel; traveling] + ํ๋ค = ์ฌํํ๋ค [to travel]
์ฌ๋ [love] + ํ๋ค = ์ฌ๋ํ๋ค [to love]
๊ณต๋ถ [studying] + ํ๋ค = ๊ณต๋ถํ๋ค [to study]
๋์ฐฉ [arrival] + ํ๋ค = ๋์ฐฉํ๋ค [to arrive]
์ด์ [driving] + ํ๋ค = ์ด์ ํ๋ค [to drive]
๋
ธ๋ [song] + ํ๋ค = ๋
ธ๋ํ๋ค [to sing]
example sentences:
์์ํ๋ฌ ๊ฐ๊ณ ์ถ์ด์.
= I want to go swimming.
์ง๋์ฃผ์ ํ๊ตญ์ ๋์ฐฉํ์ด์.
= I arrived in Korea last week.
๋
ธ๋ํ๊ณ ์ถค์ถ๊ธฐ ๋๋ฌด ์ข์์.
= I really like singing and dancing.
*in order to negate the verb, there are two options: add ์ between the noun and ํ๋ค [๊ณต๋ถ ์ ํ๋ค], or attach ~์ง ์๋ค to the verb stem [๊ณต๋ถํ์ง ์๋ค]
vocabulary
๊ฐ๋ค - to go
์ง๋์ฃผ - last week
ํ๊ตญ - korea
์ถค์ถ๋ค - to dance
๋๋ฌด - very; too
์ข๋ค - to be good
