when wilbur came back to life, the last thing he wanted to see was your face.

unfortunately, that’s exactly what he got.

he’d spent so long resenting you during his final days as a former-president-gone-tyrant, and you’d assumed that after his 13 years in limbo he’d have learnt not to hold a grudge.

yeah… revivedbur is a petty man.

he claims to be ‘changed’, but the snarky comments and pissed stares he gives you says otherwise.

people actually begin to worry for your safety after awhile.

he’ll never come to you for anything, even when he’s completely on his ass with no food, resources, etc.

in fact, he’ll make a point to wait outside until phil or techno or tubbo returns in order to speak to them.

basically treats you like you’re never there.

before he was driven insane with his country’s corruption, you and wilbur were good friends. you assisted him in leading and were a great role model for tommy and the rest of it’s citizens.

but when you refused to assist him one final time with ending l’manberg, wilbur switched his attitude with you.

you expected it. after all, he refused to trust anyone that didn’t see eye-to-eye with his crazy plans, including tommy.

it seemed things were different now, though— considering tommy was now some sort of lap-dog for him, picking up anything he wanted.

wilbur HATES that you try to talk tommy out of it.

who are you to go against his orders? he’s powerful, he’s alive, and he wants to regain all that control he once lost. sure, he’s fed a few white lies to his father about changing, but that’s just how life goes!

you on the other hand? yeah… you see right past his bullshit.

you sit tommy down and explain your concern, only to be met with reassurance that his brotherly friend is trying to rebuild his life for the better.

tommy tells wilbur of your conversation (he’s not good at keeping secrets), and it’s only then that wilbur decides to pay his old friend a visit.

it ends with your knives at each other’s throat.

“i wish you were dead!” “i’ll join you back in hell when i’m through with you!”

phil has to break it up. techno was hibernating and couldn’t be bothered to deal with your squabbles.

from then on, you’re put on restraining orders. wilbur gets on with his new burger van business, and you stay in your own house away from las nevadas.

that restriction is easier said than done.

wilbur likes a challenge. well, at least that’s what he tells himself. he convinces himself of that excuse when he goes out of his way to be on the prime path when you pass by, or visiting his dad when you’re buying potions from techno.

he thinks he’s got the upper hand, doing all of this to show you whose boss: HE’S still got the control, and he’s showing you that.

except, it’s actually the other way around. why is his heart picking up speed when you shout empty threats at him from across the path?

why does his skin flush when you walk past him, actively slamming your shoulder into his own to make a point?

why does he suddenly follow you around like a lost puppy, needing to know your whereabouts every second of every day?

his obsession is no longer on scamming the customers of las nevadas. no, now he’s found something much more sweeter to fixate on.

tommy’s the first one to pick up on it.

he annoys wilbur with countless questions about why they’re following you, what you have to do with the business, why does he care what you’re up to, bla bla bla.

wilbur hasn’t worked it out yet, simply just rambling on to tommy about how your presence annoys him and he needs to keep tabs on his enemies.

it goes on for awhile, this game of ‘cat and mouse’ where you catch on to the feeling of eyes following your body, actively seeking out dangerous locations to wander into in hopes of losing the rat bastard on your tail.

it all goes wrong, as to be expected. the trips become increasingly threatening, to the point where you’re pinned against the trees, yelling in agony as you fight off hoards of mobs.

but then there’s silence, a few piercing arrows and slashes before dispersing to a mere gurgling groan from the zombie that’s now perished by your feet.

and there stands wilbur, out of breath and panting from his first fight since he died by his own explosions.

“i had it under control” you’d tell him, dragging out your rivalry til the very last second. you hate that he’s saved you, hate that you can see every ounce of concern that’s written in his lifeless eyes.

“i should have let you die” he’ll reply, pressing the sword against your neck once more, acting as though he’d ever actually go through with it.

the tension is thick. it literally suffocates you both, new emotions and unexplained feelings bouncing around the air between you both.

he’s right there, ready to be killed and sent back to the limbo he’d crawled from mere months ago.

but you don’t.

and instead he kisses you, unsure as to why and too tired to complain about it.

you never speak about the kiss, or the secret rendezvous that follows. or the multiple other kisses after that.

you’re softer to one another, subtle kindness hidden within your interactions as you slowly begin to figure out your feelings.

wilbur left you that day, tore apart everything he’d worked so hard to build with you.

and you’d disbanded your trust in him, denying him of a promise you’d made when l’manburg first got its independence, about how you’d always be by his side.

let’s just say you guys do eventually resolve the matter….

phil doesn’t like when you come to ‘stay over’ anymore. he needs ear plugs. poor old man.

I just have this feeling if Dream was a dad he would be overprotective of his kids, like let’s say he’s teaching his kid to throw a football and catch it, he throws it back to his kid and they don’t catch it and it hits them. Dream would immediately rush over and even though the kid kept saying “I’m fine, it barely even hurts” he would still make the kiddo if 100% alright. But then he would also love to embarrass his kids when they have friends over, like saying some cheesy dad joke or telling they’re friends about some story when there younger.

This is long Ik, but i saw a post about dad!Dream and I’m now obsessed
