The smell of a laundry room takes me on a unique trip down memory lane. Most people associate it with fresh clothes, but for me, it's all about high school and Dungeons & Dragons.

Back in the day, my friends and I would gather in a buddy's basement for our D&D sessions. Conveniently, that basement also housed the laundry room. As we embarked on our adventures, plotting strategies, and rolling dice, the subtle scent of detergent wafted around us.

It might sound odd, but the smell became part of our gaming experience. Whenever I catch a whiff of fresh laundry now, I can't help but think of those fun-filled weekends, battling imaginary foes and having a great time with friends. Good times, simple memories.

ESO 593-8 is an impressive pair of interacting galaxies with a feather-shaped member crossing a nearby companion. The two components will probably merge to form a single galaxy in the future. The pair is adorned with a number of bright blue star clusters. ESO 593-8 is located in the constellation Sagittarius, the Archer, some 650 million light-years away from Earth.
