Not to mention -- Scarecrow's only got one song. Tin Man and Lion sings more than once (Tin Man has "Slide Some Oil to Me" and "What Could I Do If I Could Feel", while Lion has his solo piece-- "Mean Ole Lion"-- and the duet piece, "Be a Lion"). Heck-- even the Wiz and Glinda have more than one song!
Now, what might work-- let him sing both. The optimistic Scarecrow thinking he might make it, but the crows telling him otherwise.
I'm watching The Wiz (1978) for the first time since I was like 5 and something fun I just noticed is that although You Can't Win replaced I Was Born The Day Before Yesterday, Scarecrow (1978) still references it when he says "I think I'm gonna make it this time" (which is a repeating lyric in the original song). He (Scarecrow in 1978) also says "If I only had a brain" which I think has to be a reference to his 1939 counterpart. I wish they kept in the "I hope my hat can handle it" line since this Scarecrow has a hat but for The Wiz (2015) they kept in that line despite Scarecrow 2015 not having a hat, but it’s there because Scarecrow 1975 had a lovely little hat atop his head.
You Can't Win was originally written for The Winkies and was performed as such in the pre-Broadway tryout in Baltimore. For those unfamiliar, The Winkies are enslaved by Evillene, the Wicked Witch of the West (in the 1939 movie they're the ones that look like guards, but in the 1978 movie they work in Evillene's sweat shop and are the ensemble during Everybody Rejoice/Brand New Day). For the Scarecrow, You Can't Win is the Crow's Anthem, and it makes sense there, but I'd love to see a production of The Wiz that puts it back where it was in Baltimore, because the song is sad enough with just Scarecrow singing it, but imagine, an entire ensemble singing it! Then that same ensemble getting to sing about a Brand New Day scenes later? That'd be very intriguing to see!

Picking the Pen Up Again...
While working on my Art Fight profile this year, I realized something very vital:
I've been sitting on a decade (or older) of stories & characters that I've never breathed to a soul.
It was fear mostly-- of what I'm not sure anymore. Maybe rejection? Maybe people IRL finding it and bringing in the end of the world? Maybe saying "the wrong thing" ?
Either way, there are a stack of stories I want to see the light, regardless of how stupid I thought they are, because -- well, I'm still proud of them. Some are fully developed, and others are a bit fragmented. I just need to talk about them.
What I'm trying to say is : I apologize in advance for the upcoming waterfall.

If a Reboot of Angelic Layer Was Made...
I would focus on some more players. I think the anime did this better than the manga, but I think it would be cool if we followed other Dues as they played the game.
Each "Season" (idk if this would be a manga or an animated series) would follow a Dues, at various stages of playing the game. Not just Starters (though those are always fun to watch, but can get repetitive), but seasoned players as well.
The other Dues and Angels would be sprinkled in, as a treat, leading up to Misaki and Hikaru (now Champions). Icchan would be lurking, but not necessarily helping/sponsoring one person in particular (in some Seasons, he wouldn't even interfere, but is a spectator instead).
And it wouldn't be limited to just Japan now either: let's have some other countries in too. It would be cool to see a World Tournament for Angelic Layer.....

[Just going some old posts, and wanted to elaborate a bit]
Toy Story: [Oddly enough-- The tamest one on the list] Comedy/Adventure/Horror.
Toy Story 2: Psychological Thriller (with Horror Sprinkled In)
Toy Story 3: Thriller/Suspense
Toy Story 4: Horror (Don't be fooled by the silly subplots and romance-- It's straight horror, and characters almost died brutually)
Stop Me If You've Heard This
What genre would you say the Toy Story series is?
Not "Are they for kids or adults?"-- I mean, if you had to put each film, or even the series, into a genre category, what would you choose?
Personally: I think they're all Horror films masquerading as Fantasy.

Stop Me If You've Heard This...
Toy Story, but with Sox instead of Buzz.
Hear Me Out:
Toy Story
If Lightyear is canon, then there's no way Andy wouldn't have wanted Sox (who is, hands-down, the best character in the film). If Andy's Mom gets him Sox for his birthday (to see if he's ready for a real pet), Andy would be over the moon
Sox would be like one of those FurReal Pets from the 90s/00s. Not much different from the film, except he isn't a walking computer/A.I. -- just movie phrases (... At first, but more on that later)
He would still be delusional, but it would be more sad than annoying. (Because he misses Buzz, and he worries that the ranger might be in serious danger without him. Not to mention, Sox is canonically aware he's not real, but a robot.)
Woody would be a little jealous at first, but quickly get over it when he realizes Sox's plight... Whether or not this is before he knocks him out the window though..
Don't think for a second Sox doesn't match Woody in snark. The two would have regular battles of wit.
Sid would find and take Sox while the toys are trying to get home. Woody goes after him.
Sox is Woody's therapy cat (he thinks it's temporary, but it's for the long run)
Toy Story 2
Buzz would be introduced in this film... That's all I can say for now (without causing headaches)
Sox and Woody do argue about Woody going to Japan, but it's more akin to Baymax and Hiro in Big Hero 6-- Woody's going off while Sox remains calm and trying to reason. It almost works, but Woody refuses to come home. Sox, though hurt, respects his wishes.
Jessie, Bullseye, and Sox would all get along
(Even though he's not an actual computer, and Buzz not having any vitals to read) Sox gives Buzz a "reading" when it comes to Jessie. Needless to say, the semi-delusional Buzz is quite worried about the diagnosis.
Not gonna mess with 3 and 4 right now. But I think Sox would be an amusing addition to the cast.

It's stuff like this that makes me hate Fandoms in general.
You know, you could always not watch the show. .
PJO fandom be like "it doesn't matter that actors are not real copies of book characters, the main thing is that their acting is on point + Rick chose them themselves and is very excited about their performance"
Also PJO fandom: Lin🙄Manuel🤮 Miranda😭as😒 Hermes 🤯?! Tell me it's a joke✋
Being confused and not 100% satisfied is okay. Insulting a good man and a great actor FUCKING ISN'T. I saw SO MANY hateful comments it's horrifying, remember not to be a piece of shit.

So, I just saw Lightyear...
It's not a bad film. The acting isn't bad. Chris Evans as Buzz isn't bad. The visuals-- no brainer-- aren't bad.
However, as a (self-proclaimed) Toy Story aficionado, I fail to see why this was made. Pixar wanted to make their own origin story for Buzz... But it leaves more questions than it bothered to answer. The biggest one: if this Buzz is what inspired the toy, I don't think the first Toy Story would've played out the same way. (I also don't think Buzz would've talked as much. He would've been way more quiet, more melancholy. And the scene where he's depressed and waiting for Sid to blow him up suddenly becomes a lot darker.)
I don't think it's better than the 90s/00s cartoon, but it tried its hardest to be compared to it. If you haven't, watch Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins-- do it. It still actually holds up pretty well after all this time. Watch that, and tell me you can't see where ideas weren't lifted.

I'm trying to avoid everything and go into this movie blind, but I feel Nakia would be the best candidate for the next Black Panther.

If Knuckles pronounces Smores like "schmoes" just like Buzz Lightyear I'm gonna explode like a firework because NOT only is that my all-time favorite Toy Story line but that is EXACTLY how Knuckles will say it.
Like the Wachowskis will be camping in the woods and Knuckles tries some Smores and he's like "Father Donut, these schmoes are quite delicious-" and then Sonic just started wheezing, losing his mind. "HE SAID IT! HE SAID THE THING!" He said, falling to the ground continuously laughing.
Meanwhile Knuckles is just annoyed and confused about why Sonic is laughing at him.

So see ya saw the new Chip and Dale movie and honestly I got no desire to watch it given the frankly distasteful thing they did with Peter Pan in it, the backstory they gave him hitting too close, for context look up Bobby Driscoll, the original actor for Peter Pan
Yeah I heard about that which honestly I don’t care if it was unintentional (I doubt it was) it was super distasteful
