Hi! If this is too personal there’s no need to answer, but I saw you mention that you have fibromyalgia flare ups. I have a good friend who has the same issue and loves to draw, but it really affects their hands badly. I was wondering if you may have any advice on ways to adapt/any accessibility aids you may know of that could help and the like? If not that is completely ok! Your art is lovely and I hope you have a nice day :D

No worries! The hand pain definitely really sucks. Fortunately for me it's only at its worst in the mornings or when I'm having a particularly flare up day.

Generally, I find drawing doesn't usually irritate my hand pain, so long as I'm just doing soft gentle movements without much/any pressure. I find things like typing and using my phone much more triggering for pain. Gripping is also painful so I try to avoid that. Generally with art the big issue is when i need to apply pressure to get intense colour or thicker deeper lines. So then I only do this when I'm having low-pain days.

for non-digital drawing, I recommend a mechanical pencil so it's always sharp and you dont need to press down. I also suggest brush pens and watercolours for applying colour. Sorry I don't have much advice!! Mainly, just try to be as gentle on your hand(s) as possible <3
