I'm strictly mobile and non-wifi nowadays so it makes it a lot harder to do much of anything with the blog. If there's enough interest, and someone is willing to host then I'm happy to be a part of the discussions and brainstorming for the weeks' themes and etc though

Hello! Just a curious question as to who runs this blog? And if there will be any interest in another kogkagweek this year? No pressure or anything, I'm simply curious. :)

soooo  i would love for there to be a kogkagweek this year (or even a weekend!!), especially with everything going on in the world, it’d definitely serve as a nice lil distraction! however idk if either one of us will be able to host it, bc even tho i have free time now idk if i will when the time for the event rolls around. i mean i barely come on here as it is T^T

but! if the interest is there. then i’m sure someone can make it work.

KogKag Secret Santa 2017

Hi!

I created this blog for KogKag Secret Santa to happen for our small fandom. If you want to sign up, send me a message on this blog (please include any holiday username you may change your tumblr to, and if you are willing to be a last minute pinch hitter if we need one), and I will make a masterlist of users who signed up on Google Drive. I will update it daily, and post a link to it as well so people can make sure I received their messages.

Sign ups are open until November 25! I will do my best to have everyone assigned by December 1st. I am doing this by myself so far, so please be patient with me. I will send you a message from this blog letting you know who you got!

Since our fandom is so small, users will be randomly assigned. Any type of gifts will be accepted - fanfic, gifs, art, music, etc. Whatever gets your creative juices flowing! 

Remember this is a secret! Send your assigned user anon messages to get to know them and see what they love (au, nsfw, canon divergence, tropes, etc.) All presents must be received by December 25th. 

If anyone gets busy, and somehow can’t make their gift, please let me know ASAP. I will ask for someone to take your spot.

KogKag Week - Day 7: AU / Free day

He had almost gotten her killed. 

It did not matter how hard he tried, he was not strong enough to protect his woman. It was better if he kept his distance; it was the only way to truly protect her. Ignoring the sound of his heart breaking, he leaves her behind.

Because he loves her. 

And he isn’t enough for her.

Kagome’s heart was heavy with sorrow. Her arrows had not been enough. She had not been enough. If it had not been for Inuyasha pulling Kouga out of Naraku’s grip, she would have lost him forever. He had only risked his life to help her and she had almost killed him. 

She could not keep putting him in danger like that. She had to let him go.

Canon!Divergence where Kagome fell for Kouga when he kidnapped her. He doesn’t travel with them, but he’s constantly present. One day, she convinces him to stay with them and things take a turn for the worst during a fight with Naraku.

Yeah, Yeah. I decided to play around with manga scans and arrange them as I see fit.

You’re such a sweetheart, and honestly everyone please give a huge shoutout to Angie as well for basically having to run the entire week while I’m without a proper internet connection!! It was so fun to see/read/listen to all the absolutely wonderful content you all produced for this week, and to see the kogkag tag grow the way it did? Amazing. i’m so happy😭💕 the kogkag fandom is small but you’re all so sweet and kind and it’s always so much fun to interact with you all.

And ofc. i want to give a HUGE thank you to @magicalzombiegirl /Rhiannon! It was because of her that this happened, and it was an amazing experience to see just how much thought she put into choosing the prompts—I helped with it but just reading her thoughts on which prompts worked best was something else. i’m pretty sure more people participated this year than last, and i can’t tell you all how happy that makes me, not just bc “AH MORE KOGKAG CONTENT” but bc all of Rhiannon’s efforts were appreciated. it just leaves a really nice feeling, and i hope that when she gets the chance to scroll through the blog, it puts a biiig smile on her face😊

oh and before i forget, i track the kogkag tag, so if anyone decides to join in late/post anything late, don’t worry, i’ll see it😁

KogKag Week Day 3 (Separation/Devotion)

Playlist-This one focuses on Kouga’s emotions. Don’t worry-another day is Kagome’s playlist.

I was trying to think of songs to arrange or compose for this theme and honestly my ipod just kept reminding me of songs that already fit perfectly.

So here we have a playlist of songs that either express Kouga’s devotion to Kagome, or his feelings during their separation (because I’m going to go the route of they find each other again after Kagome disappears following the final battle) before finding each other again, or the process of falling in love/being in love/losing your love for a while and not knowing what to do with yourself.

Some of them Ginta and Hakkaku would have on a playlist for Kouga (or sneak into playlists he already has). Some of them I just heard and my brain said THAT ONE THAT HAS THE FEELS THAT FIT.

I tried to pick some that are not as common. List/some explanations below. Some I didn’t feel needed explanation. You can ask if you wanna hear me word vomit more about how much I love these two.  “Read more” not showing up on my blog, but definitely is on dashes. Sorry about that, guys! Not sure why!

KogKag Week Day 4 (Past/Future)

Paralleling Day 3 (Kouga’s playlist/pov/feelings), we now have Kagome’s. I picked past/future for her because she’s pulled between both. This explores songs she might find catchy and subconsciously link to our handsome wolf demon, songs that I feel express feels connected to her, or songs that show her point of view in whatever time she is in. Some show her being lost in the future after the final battle (before Kouga finds her because he will) and either longing for Kouga or realizing her feelings, her stuck in the past and between Kouga and her feelings for InuYasha, as well as feelings to come in the future for her when she realizes she’s in love.

KogKag Week - Prompt #7

AU

A/N: So this is basically inspired by Captain America, because I like to hurt myself and found this beautiful video which destroyed me on the inside.(I’ll post the video on a separate post.) I thought it would be fun to write a KogKag version, but give it a happy ending. I also want to say that I had the BEST time doing KogKag Appreciation week. I really want to thank @maddieson-san​ and @kagomehigurashi​ for making me feel so welcome and loved. You guys rock!!!

Smoke filled the club while a slow jazz number was being played by the band. Kagome entered the club in a striking red dress and matching lips. Soldiers openly stared as she made her way past them, her eyes looking for one specific man.

His blue eyes met hers, and the roamed over her body appreciatively. Kagome met his gaze confidently, and watched as he left his two buddies to meet her.

“Fancy seeing you here,” Kouga greeted her, handing her a drink.

“I believe we talked of dancing before you shipped out on your mission,” Kagome smiled. Her fingers lingered, grazing his hand as she slowly took the drink for him.

“I’m not much of a dancer.”

“You just need the right partner.”

Kouga chuckled as she flirted with him. He was glad she was trying to keep things light. They both knew he might not make it back alive.

“That’s my woman. Always keeping a brave face.” He tilted her face to his, trying his best to remember every inch of her face. The curve of her smile. The gray-blue of her eyes. How she always blushed when he told the troops that was his woman leading those troops. Only his woman would be the lead code broker.

Kagome leaned into his touch, breathing his scent in. She knew at that moment she would always remember the rough feel of his hand as he touched her.

“I came to say goodbye,” she whispered.

Kouga’s heart broke as the words she said sank in.

“I got to do this,” he argued.

Hello! So Day 1 (First/Last) for KogKag Week got two songs out of me. This is song 2/Last. The other song is posted separately because tumblr wouldn’t let me post 2 at a time DX

Hope y’all enjoy :D

Short explanation: With “First”, we got Kouga’s point of view as he first fell/crashed into love (cause we all know that boy was gone the second he said she was cute). For “Last”, I wanted to cover Kagome’s thoughts as she at last stops trying to convince herself she and Kouga aren’t more than friends.

I went with another oldie that just seemed to fit really well with “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You”. “Can’t Help Falling in Love”: it’s gentler, which fits Kagome in this area of life, and just the soft realization of “Oh…I…really can’t? stop myself? from falling for you…? How did this happen?” at last that we all sit and wait for in every fanfic and every time we look at the adorable kogkag scenes in the original manga/anime.

Full disclosure, I did not arrange this specifically for KogKag week-it was an anniversary present for my dude originally, but it can be shared :)

Kogkag Week: Day 6 - Holidays/Celebrations

AU in which Koga is a modern day demon whose learned to adapt to human surroundings and only unmask his wolf features in the privacy of his home. When he develops a budding relationship with Kagome, he reveals what he really is. She’s not frightened, but happy that he trusts her so much to reveal his secret to her. Once Halloween rolls around, she invites him out for a stroll around town without his human disguise.

Passing trick-or-treaters were perplexed whenever they saw his tail move.
