The one thing that I love the most about these two confessions is how in character they are. Shinichi’s a detective, he’s prone to using words to make an impact and his confession’s very word-y and Ran’s a karate champion and she’s prone to using her body to make an impact and her confession’s in the form of an action, a kiss on the cheek.

nakamichi staring at shinichi and ran in the beginning (who i very nicely called "dude in the bottom left corner" before finding out he had a name) because YES they're LOVELY

ran not being jealous of sera and shinichi interacting because she cares about them and trusts them both and she's confident enough in shinichi's love for her (though that's probably because Shinran Shipper Sonoko didn't feed her stuff about sera x shinichi potentially happening). I mean sera literally got all up in shinichi's face and no one minded 👌💯

sera and ran being badass and going after the masked people like yes go kick some ass thank you

ran thinking about kissing shinichi. that. i was not expecting that

Okay so I just watched thr first part of the animated Kyoto special so let me just share what I call “the Little details that made the whole thing even better”: 

Ran bringing cold medicine with her in case Shinichi needed it. They probably talked prior to the trip and he told her he wasn’t feeling too good, so she just decided to bring it for him. 

Ran’s soft smile when she saw Shinichi having fun with Nakamichi. 

Shinichi never rectifying Heiji’s mistake of saying Ran and him had made out in London. 

Neither did Ran apparently, as far as we know she just god “mad” at Shinichi and went straight to face him about it. So the class probably still thinks what Heiji said is true?

Shinichi’s one (1) happy second of hesitation when answering Nakamichi’s “did you bath with her?” 

Shinichi raising his voice at Ran but rectifying immediately. 

That moment Sera and Shinichi were discussing the case in the cafeteria and you could see Nakamichi talking to Ran and Sonoko about their supposed kiss in the background. 

Shinichi’s cute voice when he asked himself in what place Ran could’ve been ranked in the popularity poll.

Nakamichi and the other guys giving Shinichi space when he asked them for it (while he was transforming) and weren’t pushy. Good Guys™

Shinichi’s entire repertoire of tiny squeaks and surprised or embarrassed noises throughout the entire episode. I stan one (1) nervous boi.

The whole interaction between Sleeping Beauty Heiji™ and Shinichi. 

The animation staff being That Extra™  and zooming in on Shinichi’s lips and making them extra shiny and appetizing because why the hell not am I right?

The chipmunk copying the Inspector’s every movement and facial expression. 

Back at the cafeteria, after Ran got mad at Shinichi and she was asking for an explanation, their entire background conversation about “trying the sausages” (I don’t wanna say “( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)”, but: (   ͡°    ͜ ʖ    ͡°))

Shinichi’s voice with Kansai-ben (thank u heiji)

I’ll leave it there because I don’t want to it to be too long but just know that I loved every second of that damn special. FUCK.
