late night calls were a part of your and san’s life, at the moment. while he was busy with promoting and the tour, he would call you to make sure you were okay. this one particular night, you weren’t.

you had sighed, jumping on your bed, ready to pass out, when, your phone started ringing. ‘sannie would like to facetime.’ a smile found it’s way to your face. you tried to wipe the tears from your face before picking up.

“hey, babe. are you doing alright? why aren’t you showing your face?” his voice sounded raspy, probably tired from the busy schedule. “i look ugly right now. but i’m doing meh.” “why just meh?” you sat the phone down on a pillow and pointed it towards the ceiling. “i miss you, that’s all.”

a tear had already fallen, and san could sense you were upset through the phone. “baby, i’ll be back soon, okay?” “i-i know, but i just can’t handle all of this shit thats piled on me. i miss the way you comfort me, the way you kiss my head, i miss every little fucking thing about you.” san had started to tear up, he felt horrible.

“listen, i have one more week left. i will call you every night. i’ll help you, even if it’s through the screen, alright?” you sniffled, and nodded, then you realized he can’t see you. “yeah.” “okay, now let me see that pretty face of yours. i wanna see you before i go to sleep.”

you wiped your face again and picked up your phone. “there you are. you still look amazing when you cry.” “oh, shut up.” “it’s true!” you loved this, loved him. you couldn’t wait until you could hold his hand again.

jaemin wakes up due to the alarm blasting through the room, he looks over at you to find you still sleeping peacefully, which is odd because you’re usually up and ready for action at this point

he notices how your nose looks red, due to irritating it from blowing your nose most likely, he notices how you’re sleeping with a wide open mouth, something you never due because you usually complain about having a sore throat in the morning from that

he softly checks your temperature with the back of his hand, once his hand touches your forehead he feels the heat radiating from your head, you’re burning up

he softly gets up from the shared bed hoping that he didn’t disturb your slumber, he goes to the bathroom to get a cool washcloth to put on your head, hopefully this can being down the fever he thinks as he sofly places the cloth on your forehead

he’s about to leave the room to make you some food but comes to a stop once he sees all of your school materials along with your laptop they can’t go to school like this he thinks

he grabs your laptop and logs in, the password his is birthday you’re not slick one bit, but it is a flattering thing you did

he starts to email your teachers, explaining how you’re not going to your classes today due to the illness you have caught, he also asks if they can send you the work because he knows how you will freak out about having so much work once you go back

they all reply within minutes, which makes him feel good knowing that he probably just did something that can help you in the future

one he finishes he closes the laptop and puts it back on your desk, he starts to leave to prepare some food but he can’t help but gush at your sleeping form on he bed, even though you’re terribly sick he still thinks you look like an angel that fell from the heavens, he walks over to peck your cheek and finally walks out

he starts to make some chicken noddle soup yeah so maybe it’s early but it could help them feel somewhat at ease he shrugs as he’s mixing the ingredients together

after a little bit of cooking he brings the soup along with some medicine back to the room, he walks in to see that you have shifted a bit from the position you were in before

his heart breaks a little, he can sense that discomfort that you’re experiencing, he doesn’t want to see you in pain at all

he sets the food aside and walks over to your side of the bed, he slowly crouches down and starts to wake you up

“baby” he starts “wake up” he coos

you grumble something incoherent but start to slowly open your eyes

“morning sunshine” he says with a bright smile

“hi” you say with a groggy voice

your look around and spot the small digital clock that is located on your dresser

“jaem why is it 11am and why am i still in bed?” you ask

jaemin looks at the clock wow i didn’t notice it took so long to do everything he thinks

“well baby that’s because you’re pretty sick and i wanted you to stay home because i care about you and your health a lot” he replies

“but don’t worry, i did email your teachers explaining your situation and asked them for the work and guess what they sent it and they understood everything,they hope you feel better soon” he says as he helps you sit up

“also, i made you some soup and yes you’re going to eat it all because it can help you feel somewhat better baby” he says as he slowly hands you the bowl of soup

you looks at him with pure adoration in your eyes, you are beyond grateful that god sent this boy into your life

“have i ever told you that i love you so much and that i’m beyond thankful for you?” you question him

he lets out a soft laugh along with a beaming smile

“yes baby all the time, now eat up! you have to take some medicine to feel better and rest! i want you to be healthy once again” he says as he slides into the bed right next to you

“oh and i love you way more” he coos

he smiles “ah baby you didn’t have to get me anything, i already told you that you’re my gift”

you let out a hearty laugh “oh please doyoung, take the gift and open it” you say as you place the gift in his hands

he lets out a dramatic sigh as he opens the box, he looks so beautiful on his day, you wish you could take a photo and save this moment for yourself so you could replay it whenever you would like

“y/n” he starts “what is this?” he asks as he hold the soft bunny plushie in his hands

you laugh “okay so because you’re a bunny, i got you a small bunny plushie because you’re my bunny and why not…it’s adorable like you just look at it...” you ramble on and on

doyoung shuts you up by embracing you in his arms and giving you a soft forehead kiss

“thank you bub, i really love you” he says

“yeah well…i love you more you bunny” you coo
