“As the clouds were swept away, the light God allowed me to borrow hit my eyes. He looked upon me in the same manner of being as a mother looks upon her first-born. To seek clarity in life’s beauty is redemption for all of my mistakes and fears. Smoke fills my lungs as I cower in anxiety. The green mountains promise freedom but the city’s smog is comfort and home. My feet ache and blister the further I escape into the wild. Solace is best found in the company of others. Your warmth is my security blanket. I am, oh, so cold but freer than I ever have been.”
