Reflections ;

Living in the age of "perfectionism".

You know, I don't think it's surprising that some (sometimes more, sometimes less) suffer from depression, addictions, or any other mental challenges.

For example, fearing anything of material matter, having a fear of food, having a certain social anxiety. It depends on how connected you are to earthly life (in a healthy way), so to speak. There are people very sensitive to the spirit world (or spiritual, whatever you want to call it). When you are more connected to that, then everything in this world (everything physical) is almost strange. Especially food, because it is something that you literally come into contact with, and it enters your body, it ties you to the earth. Whether it is "healthy" food or not is not really the issue at this point. Every person is connected to both the spiritual and the physical. In earthly life not everything is "perfect", in spiritual life it is. Your body does not exist, but your soul does exist, and it is infinite, mutable like a particle of dust. Someone sensitive to that spiritual existence is more likely to suffer from depression and creates distance towards everything that is "earthly". Because your soul, or whatever you want to call it, has a strong memory of that "perfect" state it was once in. We all return there and stay there for a while, and then we become "material" again (return to the material world), to continue learning from earthly existence. God is, as it were, that charging point. That is the connection for man between heaven and earth (between the physical and the spiritual). That connection is how we can sustain living an earthly life if kept in a healthy condition. The fear of anything physical goes much deeper than mental disorders that create a "negative" self-image. That negative self-image is because you know very well what that "perfect" state of being is. But things on earth are not that perfect (yet). We all have to accept how things sometimes go in this plane of existence and bring something positive into it in our own way. And that is how we all little by little create "Heaven on Earth". May you develop at your own pace, and discover more about yourself every time. And I hope that the idea of earthly life, and the image of yourself, will become less and less daunting. Ultimately, we do need to nourish and care for the body (it is, as it were, the temple where the soul lives), but we can be a little less perfectionistic (is that a word? xD) about it. We need a little bit of everything. See it above all as a journey of evolution, and discover what makes you flourish in this life 🌼

I want to thank some (there are probably more, but from the tip of my head you came to mind) for having been such wonderful mirrors this past year/these past years. Because I've learned so much from all of you, and you all have admirable and unique qualities. I hope the mirror may return the reflection of the beauty I see in you ♥

If you happen to struggle with any mental matters, remember that every challenge you overcome is another step of growth. You are, in simple words said, a Child of God. Look past every weakness, and you will see the true strength that lives within you. What man can tell you how to live your life, when the medicine you seek lives within you? Sometimes we need reminders of discomfort to reconnect with our true purpose in life.
