that charlie redesign wanted me to redesign some others so here are some others, i was going to do husk, nifty, and sir pentious but i didnt feel like doing that

are these designs easier to animate? probably not am i claiming to be a better character designer than viziepop? yes

individual characters and design notes below

i wanted to give her this soft color palette, making her stick out from the rest of hell, like an "angel" in hell

gave her a pink suit like her pilot design

gave her gold accents to give that royalty feel

her hair is now more curly/swirly to giver her a sheep look, along with the ears, kind of like how lucifer is associated with goats charlie has sheep

i also gave her ears to maker her not look like just a human

the darker pink-red color is supposed to contrast with her softer colors but not that much, it's supposed to convey that she is still a demon, the horns were also added to give that feel

bigger cheek makeup (?) and those gold "chains" were added to giver her a circus clown/ring leader look because hell is supposed to be like a circus

gave her tap shoes to convey shes likes music or someshit

darker color to contrast with charlies, a sun and moon thing going on

made her more moth like by making her hair look like moth wings, fuzzy leg warmers, and antennas (are those even antennas do moths even have antennas)

added a silver like color in her design to match with charlies gold

gave back her stocking from her pilot design and made her hand warmers mirror them

wanted to giver her a hot topic employee look

made her more look like she died in 2014 by giving her the red and black stocking + hand warmer, leg warmers, and making her x asymmetrical

her worm out shorts are suppose to give a 2014 feel but also are like that because moths just eat clothes sometimes

gave her the ribbon on her waist to mimic one of her old designs

her red is the same red in charlies pallet, they match +]

made him purple because i think limiting the main colors to each character is nice also because i think purple is a much more lust full color and to look similar to his old design

made him more spider like by adding an extra pair of eyes, fangs, two more legs and a spider butt lol

made him more fluffy and rounder to giver him a more effeminate/gnc look

gave him eyelashes for the same reason above

gave him a scar on the side that he has the golden tooth and different eyes because i think it would be cool is that was from an injury he had when he was alive

the coat was added so that it looks similar to his suit but still different enough so that not everyone is wearing one

the design on his pider butt and coat are suppose to look like a stylized spiders web

the hearts at the end of his heels are suppose to replicate the end of spiders feet

still kept him relatively skinny because i think he would have one of those arcs were a character starts off skinny but gets fatter to show that they're happy with life

still kept his suit because its such an important part to his character tbh and also so he can mirror charlies pink soft light pink suit with his dark dulled down red suit

gave him a tie so he looks more professional compared to charlies cutie bow tie

dulled down his colors so make him see older and stuck in an era

made him looked aged by giving him grey hairs, stubble, and eye bags

made his deer features more obvious by making his antlers bigger, more deer like ears, giving him a nose pike charlie, and giving him hooves

why alastor got socks on in the pool those are his hooves you bitch

actually made him black

still kept him skinny to give off that sickly skinny look

Why did Catra, a violent, unhinged, and dangerous war criminal, get off Scott free and an unearned redemption arc? Why was Shadow Weaver not given a redemption arc and was given the death sentence?

I’m bad at respecting pronouns. I will do my best, but if I call N.D. by his deadname or misgender him, that is an act of forgetfulness and not malice. Please be patient with me.

First, the way you’re framing this is (unintentionally, I hope) a little intellectually dishonest. I would definitely not call Catra unhinged. She’s impulsive and definitely attempted more harm than Shadow Weaver did (while being a grown-ass adult perfectly capable of making her own decisions…), but I would not call her unhinged. Her behavior is typical abusive behavior, and I laugh at the idea of war crimes in She-Ra at all because Bright Moon also doesn’t even have a prison. Moreover, I’d argue Shadow Weaver is equally as dangerous as Catra up until Micah arrives and she starts to change. She was the one throwing away soldiers on pointless missions, sacrificing the collective to get Adora back, and trying to wipe her ward’s mind (not to mention the physical abuse both she and Catra committed).

That said, the reason Catra was forgiven by the narrative and Shadow Weaver wasn’t is pretty simple. N.D. doesn’t believe Shadow Weaver is capable or worthy of redemption.

I do agree with him that you can’t redeem someone who doesn’t want to be redeemed, but the language about someone not being “capable” or “worthy” of redemption is entirely different than acknowledging that universal reconciliation isn’t a thing. He is making an assertion about Horde Prime’s value and worth in this statement. Not the free-will choices he made. N.D. can pretend as though it’s about actions all day long, but this is not the true motivation. He’s also conflating Prime’s actions with his worth by bringing up his bad actions and long lifespan, which has nothing to do with anything. It’s all window dressing. What makes Prime’s end work is that he COULD have chosen at any point to repent, surrender, and face consequences, but he chose not to. Get that? C H O S E.

It’s also worth noting that N.D. doesn’t see Shadow Weaver as redeemed.

Here are all the effed-up things in this passage:

N.D. admits he didn’t plan Shadow Weaver’s arc from the start, which is laughable and shows he has a dearth of writing skills. If you’re going to write a story, literally the bare minimum is knowing the climax and ending. But he couldn’t even be expected to know that? Come on.

N.D. acts like it’s so terrible for Shadow Weaver to think she’s the good guy when that’s a.) literally how Catra behaved for the whole story, and b.) how everyone thinks of themselves. Everyone wants to think they’re going through life with the best of intent here.

N.D. asserts that Shadow Weaver ruined the lives of people she never ruined the lives of. She was never in Castaspella’s life before S5, and all signs point to her treating Micah with utmost kindness up to and including when she was possessed. I challenge anyone to find one instance where she treated him at all similar to how she treated Catra and Adora. They won’t find it.

Shadow Weaver does not care about Catra. She cares about Adora but the Spell twisted her love so much it no longer resembles the real thing. Love is an action, not a positive feeling, and the fact N.D. is stating otherwise shows he doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about.

Shadow Weaver’s sacrificial ending was suicidal. I don’t really care who’s mad about me saying that. She said “it’s too late for me” and burned herself alive. Suicide is selfish and cowardly in its own way, but N.D. in other interviews portrayed the final act as a way to smarm Catra and Adora for resenting her, which does not come across in the scene at all. Again, N.D. has no idea what he is talking about here. I have autism and even I understand the basic concept of PORTRAYING WHAT YOU INTEND IN YOUR STORY. And if she was truly being selfish all along and never changed, only manipulated the girls to the bitter end, the next point makes no sense either.

The idea that Shadow Weaver has to “affirm” and “get closure” for the girls in order for them to heal is toxic. Not that Shadow Weaver shouldn’t repent and apologize, but Adora and Catra’s healing can’t be hinged to that or else the moment she makes a mistake in her journey, they’ll instantly be heartbroken. YOU CANNOT SEEK VALIDATION FROM OTHERS. And this brings to attention the tonal whiplash. Catra and Adora should be, by all accounts, utterly distressed. But they just…forget about Shadow Weaver immediately after that, like it was as easy as her death achieving their happiness. Demented. And to think kids are having this message as their takeaway.

So the reason is quite simple: N.D. doesn’t actually believe in redemption, and he never saw Shadow Weaver as redeemed to begin with. As to why Catra’s actions are downplayed, it’s because she’s hot, gay, and young, and she’s N.D.’s special girl. It’s really not that complex.

Is is weird that deep down, I think Nate might be a bad person? I mean, he based Catra off himself (a character who is unrepentant in her evil ways, and gets off scot-free), made a show that teaches kids it’s okay to want to bang your adopted family, made a show that says it’s okay if you abuse someone as long as you’re hot, basically said ‘Fuck people with disabilities’ in the same show, and used the original creator’s (a REAL FUCKING PERSON, Larry DiTillio, may he Rest In Peace) death as a promotion for the second season. Even his wife (their relationship is what C//A is BASED ON) literally said, she’d rather Catra cheat on Adora with Glimmer. Which, depending on who you ask (since some people think of Molly as Catra instead) sounds a lot like ‘I want to cheat on you’, or sounds like ‘I could see you hurting me by having an affair’.

No lie, I think Nate is just straight up a not good person.

yeah, i usually don't like to jump to conclusions about a person i barely know, but the proof is there. just the way the show was written alone reveals a lot of problematic ideals. art usually reflects a person's morals and personality. it's not as black and white though, the framing matters a lot.

say, making a crime thriller movie wouldn't mean you're a criminal, but if you frame the crime as this cool badass thing to do, then that would raise some questions. similarly, it's okay to include themes of abuse in your work but if you romanticize or sexualize it, then that says a lot about you as a person.

so yeah, i really can't say i believe nate to be a good person. i would still give him the benefit of the doubt as he is someone i don't know personally, but considering everything we've seen so far, it seems like he condones and actively promotes a lot of fucked up things.

Over a summer, the tournament would be split into Prelims, Semi-Finals and the Aggro Bowl, much like My Family Got Guts, but with the old three player format

Prelims are broken up into 9 games with an A Block, B Block and C Block, three games each, with the winners going on to the semi, rise and repeat until the Aggro Bowl to crown that year's champion!

As of today, I have been kicked from the Winx Club discord server, and for very valid reasons...

I thought in the Winx Club fandom, I could start over after the trouble I have caused in the She-Ra and Owl House communities, but the same problems I always had flared their ugly head.

I overstepped my boundaries (Failed to grasp that someone didn't wanna talk to me, as well as pinging people), got punished for it, then I angrily lashed out at someone who did not deserve it. I threatened to put whoever banned me on a list (a reference to the List of Jericho from WWE. I really hoped things are were going to be different this time, but my issues run even deeper than I realized.

I was a weirdo, an asshole, and a borderline creep. I was inconsiderate and I've let everybody down, I've let my friends down and I've let myself down.

I was a disgrace, which really sucks, because Winx Club had a major impact on my life. I never wanted to mess things up, especially not this badly.

So, to that end, I will be taking an indefinite break from the internet until I can sort myself out.
