Darlin’ I’d wait, for you (pt.2)
hey!! This is part two, for everyone who asked for it! Thank you so much for supporting me!!! Love you all ❤️
It’s been over a month since you’ve left the Dundee Mifflin. You could say you missed it. It was much more fun then here.
You missed Michael, Dwight, and Stanley. You missed Angela and her obsession with cats. You missed Kevin’s perverted jokes. You missed a lot.
But, it wasn’t the place you where meant to be. This was. A nice, quiet office space where everybody is friends.
Right?
No. You where crying, once again, for the third time. You where in a park, which was rather empty, eating a sandwich, which you barely touched.
You missed Jim. He was your reason to come to work every day. He was your reason to keep on going in this boring, slow paced life. You wish you could have said goodbye. But you didn’t.
You where an asshole, you told yourself.
— —
Jim looked at the now removed desk, his hand pressed against his cheek. You had left and soon… his life became more dull. Jan had gone back to Roy, and he was stuck, prancing Dwight by himself.
The more he thought about you, the more he missed you. You and your slightly crooked front teeth. You and your stupid smile.
Sighing, Jim checked the time. 12.11. Your lunch time…
Jim stood up, grabbing his lunch bag. Why not go outside? Maybe relax his mind a bit at the local park.
You had gone to leave, throwing out your bag of food, half finished. Wiping your tears, you took a shaky breath. He wasn’t in your life anymore.
Someone called your name. You paused, looking around, nobody. Someone called your name, again.
You turned again, only to look at those same puppy eyes you hadn’t seen in forever. The world seemed to freeze.
“Jim?” You spoke softly, your heart melting. Jim Halpert…
“where have you-!” Jim started, until being tackled into a tight hug, you wrapping your arms around him.
“im sorry…” you said, “for not saying goodbye..”
Jim paused, before wrapping his arms around you, his throat burning and tears dripping down his cheeks. He missed your hugs.
“yeah…” he said, smiling, “it’s okay…”
you sobbed in his arms for a bit, bubbling on about how much of a dick you felt, but all Jim did was shush you, saying was okay.
“I’ve missed you so much,” he confessed, “I missed our pranks,” he said.
You nodded.
“how are you and Jan?” You asked, pulling away. Jim sighed, shrugging.
“I don’t think I like her anymore…” Jim said softly. You gave him a sad look.
“… why?”
Jim sighed, then smiled. “I realized I like you so much more,” he said, kissing you softly, cupping your cheeks.
You kissed back, feeling your stomach flutter in butterflies.

Darlin’, I’d wait for you – Jim Halpert
Kinda different this time– a bit more angst and sadness. I’m excited about writing and posting this one. YAY!!! Enjoy!! Maybe a part 2???
Tumblr media
Jim was over by Pam again. It hurt to see him chatting to her so much again. I wish he was talking to me instead, again, You thought selfishly, sighing at returning to your work.
Pam had officially broken up with Roy. After Jim found out the news, he had never been more happy. Although you were going to support Jim no matter what, this was more… difficult to support.
Jim and Pam giggled and laughed about something stupid and you just minded your business, your leg bouncing as you tried to ignore their conversation. Checking the time, you read it was 12.11, around the time you’d eat lunch.
Maybe, you’d go on a walk instead.
The camera followed you as you stood up and grabbed your purse. You left without a word, feeling eyes on you as you left.
Your cheeks burned in embarrassment as you left the building, your throat tightening painfully. You were going to cry.
Someone called you.
Turning, you saw Jan, her eyebrows furrowed in surprise. “I’m glad to see you,” she said, walking towards you, “I was coming to talk to you about a promotion that’s been offered in a different branch, actually,”
You blinked. “Really? How far?”
Jan grinned, glad you found interest in the promotion. “Only ten minutes from here, not to far,” she said, handing her a slip of paper.
You read over the address a smile pulling on your face. “That’s not to far, actually, it’s closer than here from my house,”
“Really?” Jan said, grinning, “that’s great! I wrote my cell at the bottom of the paper, if you want to contact me about details. So, I will see you later, okay?”
You nodded, giving Jan a fake smile. “Yeah! See you, Jan,”
She left for the elevator, leaving you to look over the paper. You folded it and slid it into your slack pockets, sighing.
Walking outside of the building, the camera following you at the same pace, you felt tears slide down your face as you tried running off. The cameraman followed you until you left the parameters of Dunder Mifflin, just recording you as you ran off, sniffing and sobbing sadly.
Maybe you were too late. You waited for so long, yet, you would continue waiting for him, even if he never noticed.
“God dammit, Jim!” You yelled to nobody, covering your mouth as you sobbed.
––
“Yeah, I do like Y/N, why?” Jim asked, a bit confused with a smile, “She’s a great friend,”

Big Nerd – Jim Halpert
Second one today. Yup. I love writing and Jim Halpert, plus this is really cute and just straight up fluffy. I’ve never been more proud of myself.
Tumblr media
It’s been about two months of Jim Halpert finally dating you. It was all rather cute but awkward when you went up on your tip-toes in the rain and pecked his cheek, scurrying off to your car, holding your high heels in one hand after a small work party a few weeks before you two started dating
Now, you were both together, and it was Jim’s first time at your little apartment. It was cute and rather relaxing. You had a nice leather couch with mustard-yellow throw pillows and an off-white and burnt orange blanket draped over the top.
An older looking orange tabby laid on the couch, completely unbothered. Jim grinned.
“Is that Fluffy?” He asked you. You grinned and giggled. You hadn’t stopped laughing and giggling today from your excitement.
“Yes! He’s so cute right?” You beamed. Jim smiled back at you, feeling his cheeks flush in a childish manner. Although he was more of a dog person, it was sweet to see you get so proud and happy of your little old lady.
“How about I give you a little tour? Maybe just to get you used to the whole apartment for now,” you suggested. Jim hummed, sliding off his shoes and stepping onto the clean wooden flooring.
Walking down the hallway, you opened doors and pointed to little trinkets you owned like a cheerio-shaped vase you had on the dining room table, little blue-and-purple flowers sticking out from it.
There was one room you completely passed, not even glancing at it. Instead, you showed him to your bedroom, which was cute and very like you.
“Here’s the bedroom!” you said, showing him the room with a queen-sized bed with a large fluffy carpet. Jim smirked, shoving his hands into his pockets.
“That’s cool,” he said with a grin, looking down at you. Giggling once again, you walked to the living room.
“Do you want to watch a movie?” You asked, smiling. Jim nodded.
“Yeah, how about you choose the movie, okay?” he said, “do you know where the bathroom is?” he asked.
You hummed, turning on the TV. “It’s just down the hallway, to your left,” you directed. Jim thanked her and left.
As he got close to the bathroom, he saw the room you didn’t show him. Jim walked towards it and poked his head through the door, his jaw dropping to the ground.
A small room with a large beanbag and small television was in this room, bookshelves filled with action figures and games stacked neatly everywhere, as well as piles of opened books and posters hanging from the barely visible free walls. Jim wanted to laugh.
He called for you, walking into the living room with a stupidest grin on his face. “Are you a geek?” he asked.
You gave him a bewildered look before her face changed into realization. Heat exploded on her face, which was quite noticeable, making Jim burst out into laughter.
“JIM!” You yelled, grabbing a pillow and throwing it at him. He caught it and laughed, covering his face as you launched another one at him. “Why were you snooping!?”
He continued chuckling walking to the couch and flopping down, making Fluffy jump and scurry off. Jim flopped onto your lap, stretching out with a groan and a cheeky smile.
“You’re such a nerd,”
“Shut up, Jim,”

Uptight – Jim Halpert
This is just a little cutesy one-shot with our favorite golden retriever: Jim Halpert. I think he needs more writings done with readers or even Pam. Honestly, it would just be fun to read about him more. I kinda wanna do a part 2 on this... idk... I hope you like it!!
Tumblr media
Everyone knew Jim Halpert. Jim Halpert knew everyone well enough. He talked to people, smiled and laughed with them, and pranked stuck up asses.
Well… except you…
You were uptight, in a work way. You never slacked off, only took off when you were sick. Which was never.
You sat with Jim and Dwight, usually typing and helping clients set up their paper orders.
Jim thought you were beautiful. So average, so basic, so perfect. Sometimes, he would wonder to himself, as he glanced at you, how different would you act outside of work?
His small friendly crush was a secret to everyone, especially you. Jim knew I’d you found out, his life, with you, would be over. Forever.
Today was a normal day in the office— you working your ass off while Jim annoyed Dwight a little by talking louder than usual.
It annoyed you as well, but you didn’t say anything.
“Anyways” Jim said to nobody on the phone, “I cannot believe that that happened!” He half yelled, making you sigh.
Jim glanced at you, his face falling. You were annoyed. He could tell by the cute frown on your face and the face you were chewing your gum a bit harsher then normal.
“I have to get back to you,” he said quietly, glancing away, “bye,”
Although it was a fake call, he set the phone down.
Glancing over at you, seeing that you were already staring back at him, made his heart flutter softly.
“Thanks,” was all you said to him, the first thing you said to him since yesterday, and soon, the receiver was up to your ear from an incoming call.
Jim felt his heart warm at your cold statement. You were like a cat, he was like a dog. How funny.
——
The rest of the day went by smoothly, in your opinion. The room had finally been put at a comfortable temperature, since some people liked it colder than others.
You looked at the clock and hummed. Exactly five, so you got up and grabbed your old red leather purse and the cardigan you brought.
Without saying goodbye, you pushed in your chair and left the office, hearing scrapes from other people’s desk chairs as they left.
Leaving the reception, when you stepped out the rain that was forecasted earlier had come ten times harder than told in the weather news this morning.
Your umbrella was in your car, which was across the street.
“Oh my gosh…” you whispered angrily to yourself, watching the cloud.
Jim walked out a few seconds behind you, seeing that you were trying to drape your favorite cardigan over your head, now looking rather annoyed.
He could help but smile, seeing he could be the knight in shining armor.
“You want me to walk you?” Jim said to your right. You looked up slightly to see the sweet smile of Jim Halpert, holding a black umbrella in between the two of you.
You hummed, looking down to hide a smile. “Yes, please,” you whispered shamefully, “I didn’t know it was going to rain this hard…”
Jim laughed. “Nor did I. This is Michael’s umbrella,”
You gasped, your eyebrows furrowing. “Jim!” You said, about to tell him off.
With the happiest laugh you heard, Jim started chuckling, showing off his cute lopsided smile.
A warmth bubbled in your stomach, your heart beating ever so much faster.
“I’m just joking,” he said cheekily, “let’s go,”
The two walked in silence, you blushing like mad, Jim smiling like a goon. It was cute for the cameras to record.
Michael watched through the blinds with the cameras, sighing.
“Office romance: the sweetest kind of romance, in my opinion."
