I have decided to do an AU of the Haunted Mansion with inspiration of the Jungle Book and the Graveyard Book.

A young boy raised by the 999 ghosts within the mansion itself, adopted personally by The late master of the Mansion, Gracey. Many could wonder why would he ever want to raised a living child within the mansion… but perhaps maybe because the Master pitied the child and wanted to feel something other then emptiness, though raising a child is never an easy task especially when you are a ghost.

Still, Gracey decides to name the child….

Being the only living individual that lives in the mansion (outside of the graves keeper and his dog), child is often watched over by many of its residents. Gracey once thought of raising him alone but it was a difficult. Thankfully, some of the more kinder and helpful spirits offer to help Gracey raise the boy together. Of course, There are often complains of having a living person. Stay at the manor since it dampens the gloom and peace they enjoy…but the simple bravery and playfulness was enough to their mind. As long as the child doesn’t bother their haunts…then it is fine.

So Adam was accepted into the Manor.

Being the new resident, Adam did not mind the dark, gloomy Atmosphere or the hauntings that happen around him since they were since it is another day in the mansion, instead he was the kind to wander off on his own and sometimes follow the ghosts as a baby. He laughs are their dark humor and antics while often caught climbing in high places. By the end of the day, most of the ghosts become exhausted..but they enjoy the child nonetheless.

Now Adam is at the age of 5, Adam already knows most of his ghostly families stories between their birth to death as always done his best to be friendly to every one of them…including the mean ghosts as well. He is spirited and quite a daring child who don’t mind having most of his adventures spent within the Mansion property but also a diligent with his responsibilities and chores around the place as well.

Adam loves to spend his days, exploring the mansion, reading many books within the library and spending time with the other ghosts though it is difficult since he is the only one who is alive and most of their antics are…deadly but Adam doesn’t mind. His father, Gracey does which is often forbidden to participate in them. He even likes to listen to their stories and tales of their former lives as well. Like everyone else in the Manor, Adam has a dark sense of humor as well.

As promised, I’d made a 2nd line featuring the LoC villains (of seasons 1) aka the Leaders of “Evil Tribes” in Monkie Kid art style: CRAGGER THE CROCODILE PRINCE, WORRIZ THE WOLF PACK WARRIOR and RAZAR THE RAVEN MERCHANT/ CON-MAN. Now I have a few things to say about them and they are my personal opinions:

Starting with being them “Evil”: they are not technically evil per say but they rather are pretty much ruthless and Jerk-ish individuals who have selfish goals on taking the CHI. Sometimes, their tribes do it individually, but when they have a bigger fight on their hands, all 3 tribes come together with CRAGGER leading them. Now here is the interesting thing about the whole thing CHI Wars on CRAGGER’S side: He was literally not in his right mind for most of season 1. In fact, He was mostly brainwashed by his Bish of a sister, who used him a drug flower to do the controlling. When he’s not under his sisters influence, he’s actually a friendly, sweet guy trying to make up for his mistakes…especially towards his best friend, LAVAL (they had such a cute but tragic bromance). Poor guy had it rough but I like his character.

Moving onto the other two: WORRIZ and RAZAR, An interesting fact about the Wolves and Raven tribes are that they don’t have royalty within their tribes, and only choose their leaders by diplomatic means or…basically choose who is the smartest candidate to represent them. For the Wolves: WORRIZ is a charmer at negotiations while RAZAR knows how to play both sides if it’s beneficial. Honestly two impressive traits to have during the war…but also a double edge sword as well.

Personally, WORRIZ didn’t strike me as an interesting character as he is mostly a nasty guy with a brutish personality; while his tribe’s history and care for the Mother wolf as well as his tribe working almost like hive mind is interesting….I just don’t find him very likable.

Unlike the wolf, I favor RAZAR more because….he made me laugh. As strange as that sounds, RAZAR was The first character that made me legitimately laugh in the series and since then, I’ve just enjoy watching him whenever his on screen. Obviously the character is known to be very greedy and an opportunist whenever something either benefits him or the other Ravens; they always known to steal from other tribes and sell their stuff back to them with higher prices as well as switching sides to which ever tribe has the better advantage, mainly the evil side. Still, to me, RAZAR has a more tolerable personality and charm to him then WORRIZ ever does.

Well, end of discussion on them. All I can say with me drawing these three I say they were both a good challenge and amusing to draw. Obviously, RAZAR was more fun to draw while WORRIZ what is the most challenging out of the three. Still, these three were able to make the season 1 plot a little bit more interesting….a little bit.

Legends of Chima was LEGO series I was interested back in 2013-2014. The animated show was fairly decent with its world-building, animation, environment and music; the only it lacks was its writing, characters and it’s plot. They were bad…just basic at best and not as memorable as Ninjago.

Still, I remember it fondly even now in 2023 and I recently heard it had its 10 year anniversary on January 17th! And since I finished watched Monkie Kid season 4, it inspired me to briefly return back to drawing to Legends of Chima again but this time in Monkie Kid’s 2D art style.

….And so far, they are looking incredibly good! I had to do some design change but it’s looking great!

In case anyone forgot or don’t know them, these are the 3 main protagonists of Legends of Chima: LAVAL THE LION PRINCE, ERIS THE WARRIOR AND GORZAN THE…GURU WARRIOR

Anyway, I had a good time drawings these 3 and I plan on drawing the 3 antagonists of the series (at least in season 1).
