AU RA YOU SAY??

This is my lad, Dalamus Sarangerel :)

He's from a tribe in the Steppes that worshiped Dalamud (peacefully) as a guiding deity--to the point where he was named after it. Once Dalamud began descending, his tribe's behavior was affected and they started treating Dalamus himself as a harbinger for Dalamud, expecting him to commit violence in honor of their deity. Unfortunately, he went along with it.

But once Dalamud cracked open, he realized everything he knew was false, and left his tribe for Eorzea--his goal being to find a cure for the Tempered, or at the very least prevent others from becoming the same as his tribe. Little did he know he'd be thrust into another "Chosen One" role, with the whole world on his shoulders, and told that there is no cure for being Tempered, there's only mercy killing.

(I've not gotten through any expansions, so his backstory is a WIP, but I like telling it uwu)

Dalamus appears a bit quiet and distant, but the truth is he has a heart of gold and is a stalwart ally to anyone he bonds with. He loves food and will try anything once. He enjoys gardening, and buying/foraging for seeds to see what he can get to grow. He likes to sketch, and keeps a sketchbook which doubles as a journal in which he writes and draws notes, reminders, and other information. One can find everything from written notes about flora and fauna, their behaviors and where they occur, to sketches of people he's met and who've made an impression.

Still working on what face shape I want for him. He's an AU of a TES OC and I tend to default to that OC's face shape when drawing without a plan (the middle one), but I like his face shape in-game!

I think Gridania is the funniest of the starter city-states in FFXIV, at least for the duration of ARR, because they seem so completely oblivious to their own societal problems. Starting in Ul'dah was really like "yeah so uhhh watch out for The Mafia" so you go "okay yeah i get the gist", then you get to Limsa and someone comes sprinting up to you screaming "THERE ARE NO PIRATES HERE" unprompted so you go "hmm. weird and telling thing to say but i appreciate your candor", then you get to Gridania and it's like "hello! you have entered Paradise City, population 'however many Elezen are here and NOBODY ELSE'" and you're like "hang on do you actually not know what racism is or are you fucking with me?"

Like you'll be talking to Raubahn and Nanamo and they'll be like "oh woe we need to fix the dire income inequality in Ul'dah but we need to wield that very power to enact our plans" and Merlwyb will say "Yeah I'm a military dictator shove it up your ass" and the Kan-E will be like "all i wish for is peace in the Black Shroud... we believe all life has value" and then have the Adders send you out to murder one hundred oppressed miqo'te poachers because she thinks they smell funny

of course these things develop as ARR goes on but this is really silly at the start

Some of you really need to learn to accept the fact that there will always be new players who don't know things and that this is not only okay but necessary for the game's survival.

#yeah #there's also always going to be players who aren't playing to the META or minmaxing or are otherwise playing ''sub optimally'' #some people will frankly just always be bad at the game. and they deserve to have fun and support too #some people will feel New for a long time #(hello as someone who's technically had the game for years and is still a sprout who hasnt even maxed her starter job yet) #and personally i feel like if you're constantly trying to justify being mad at people for not playing as well as you #you might just be mean and toxic #frustration i understand. when you're trying to grind things quickly and it's not going quickly i get that #but if you make people feel bad about their gaming then idk how to tell you that you're part of the problem #people are less likely to ask for help if they feel like they're going to be ridiculed for it. and then they're not going to get better #or worse: they'll stop playing altogether. dont be the reason a community becomes toxic. you'll kill the game you love #misc #reblogs #ffxiv

I'm pretty sure it's stated in game that chocobo are bred to accommodate different race sizes, so I thought it would be fun to design them as different breeds. Click to read more!

Standard bred chocobo are of medium size and the most common. They're largely preferred by hyur and are considered the most versatile. While Lalafell prefer a miniature chocobo as a mount, many farmers also raise them as livestock guardian animals for their flocks.

Miqo'te often breed a slightly smaller type of chocobo which are built for speed and often seen in racing. Two popular breeds for elezen include a swan-like, elegant bird as well as an Ishgardian breed with thicker feathers (often used to stuff expensive pillows)

The breed favored by Au Ra vary greatly in size like auri themselves. While omnivorous, this breed also tends to have a higher taste for meat. Viera bred chocobo are the rarest breed, with lithe legs and a long beak for survival in heavily wooded areas.

Hrothgar and Roegadyn often prefer large, draft breeds of chocobo. Hrothgar bred chocobo have the rare ability to turn their heads 180 degrees, and Roe chocobo are also commonly used for chocobo carriages.

Did the benchmark 4 different times, trying High (Laptop) and Maximum, and with/without DLSS

Result was Very High across the board! DLSS didn't really have a significant impact in my case, but that's alright.

If or whenever I get to Dawntrail, at least I know I can play it :)

ALSO? The HORNS???? They look so good!!! And the limbal rings glow! They look so nice! The body scales look very flat but for what they are they look nice too. I'm biased bc i don't care for them in the first place kjhshdfg
