valentine's day dates with the jjk characters

‧͙⁺˚*･༓☾ where the boys would take you for valentine's day! pt 1 ☽༓･*˚⁺‧͙ i might be a few days late

━━━ ( ⋆｡°✩ satoru: ) ✧  i don't care what anyone says, my boy is a ROMANTIC !!! satoru is caring and very observant. he knows your likes, your dislikes -- everything about you down to the different ways your eyes light up in correspondance to your favorite foods. he knows your favorite flowers & chocolates and while he's happy giving that to you, that's not enough. nowhere near enough, actually.

as a matter of fact, he lets you know pretty quick that you two are gonna go somewhere. satoru won't tell you where -- he thinks it's funny to be all mysterious and get you so worked up like this. but, before you know it, you're being pulled into the car and dragged off somewhere against your will.

satoru takes you to the park. he pulls out a basket and an iconic red gingham blanket. a picnic. it's cheesy and silly but incredibly romantic. of course, you two sit somewhere nice and in the shade. he's packed a ton of different things, a lunch, chocolate covered strawberries, a nice bottle of wine or champagne for you two to share -- the whole nine yards.

"aren't i just the best boyfriend ever?" he'd have to ask and tease the hell out of you. but, honestly, moments like this remind you that that's entirely true.

━━━ ( ⋆｡°✩ suguru: ) ✧  suguru is determined to make memories with you. taking you to a restaraunt or somewhere flashy is a little bit too cheesy and cliche for his taste. honestly, he's really not that big on the traditional idea of valentine's day, anyway. he thinks teddy bears and flowers that're gonna go dead in a couple days are kinda stupid. so, he always takes it upon himself to do something a hell of a lot better.

of course, you're getting the sappiest text message as soon as you wake up, though. (yes, he's had this written for ages and he's been staring anxiously at the send button, he's the type to send this at 12:01 in the morning) he's letting you know you're the most beautiful girl he's ever laid eyes on, that there's no one that could ever be as perfect as you, how lucky he is to have you, etc. you will not get out of today without hearing this a million times.

suguru's taking you somewhere special. at first, you two probably stop somewhere like an art gallery or a museum. he's got a couple "you're the prettiest thing in the room" type cheesy pickup lines up his sleeves (but coming from him they're somehow oh-so-smooth!) but afterwards? he's taking you somewhere like a couple's cooking class or wine painting. it sounds stupid, but it's somewhere you make memories of you two that you can actually cherish.

━━━ ( ⋆｡°✩ kento: ) ✧  kento is all things traditional. you're getting roses delivered to your job with the absolute sweetest note about how much he loves and cherishes you. they've gotta be red roses, too. he's a complete sucker for the idea of a classic valentine's day -- red roses, a teddy bear, heart-shaped chocolates, etc. he's a true romantic at heart.

kento's doing the absolute most. when you get home, you're definitely walking into rose petals all over the floor, leading you to your shared bedroom. on your bed, of course, is none other than a pretty lil dress and some nice new jewelry wrapped up in an elegant giftbox. he's got everything planned down to the last detail. pretty tea light candles illuminate your room, in your favorite scent, of course. you've got some more chocolates and sweet things he thought you'd like -- maybe some new makeup or skincare, or even a silly little plushy that he knew you'd like.

with that being said, kento's gotta take you to dinner. you're going to the nicest & fanciest place he could find. after all, you've gotta wear that dress somewhere (:

━━━ ( ⋆｡°✩ toji: ) ✧  toji might not be as showy as some of the other people *cough cough* on this list, but he still knows how to show you just how much he loves you. after a long and stressful day at work, you know he knows how to take care of you and treat a lady right. he's the type of guy to spend all day preparing. yeah, he might be standing there like an idiot at lush trying to ask the employee what bath bomb he should get. yeah, he might think the one called 'sex bomb' is funny (that's totally not the only reason he'd buy it, too!) but, deep down, it's pretty clear he's got a goal in mind. to make you happy.

as soon as you get home, toji's whisking you off your feet and probably suffocating you with kisses. like a true gentleman, he's taking your coat and your bag before he's practically shoving you toward the bathroom and not giving you a real say in anything. before you can even question what the hell he's doing, you're gonna realize he's actually drawn a bath for you. like i'm talking full on candles for the ambiance, a glass of wine, that stupid little bathbomb he bought, etc. he might try to steal a few glances under the guise of wanting to see what the bathbomb does, but it doesn't make you feel any less loved.

while you're enjoying your bath, he picks up some take out from your favorite restaraunt so the two of you can cuddle up on the couch, eat some good-ass food & watch a movie or two. it's a quiet night, but absolutely perfect.

✧ suguru got that mf DAWG in him. trust me. satoru and shoko would never believe it, but when you two are alone? suguru's got GAME. he's a sweet talker and he knows exactly how to compliment you and say the right things to get a flush going on your pretty lil face. he's whispering in your ear and complimenting something small like your lipstick or your eyeshadow but doubling down and telling you you're the prettiest girl he's ever seen.... let's be real he's doing this CONSTANTLY.

✧ suguru is a spontaneous yet observant lover. he loves nothing more than to sneak up on you & hug you from behind, kissing your neck, your hair, etc. he's picking you up, spinning you around -- anything. after you two get out of your classes he's 100% taking your hand and dragging you out to your favorite revolving sushi place in tokyo. or he's taking you shopping bc he noticed you needed a new pair of shoes. or he's taking you anywhere like a lil boba shop just to brighten your day. he's very in tune to your emotions and it's something he prides himself on.

✧ at the end of the day, suguru is also practically one of the girlies. he's pretty much the best boyfriend you could ever ask for because he loves gossiping as much as you and shoko do. hell, you three probably make it a habit to go out to lunch and gossip about all the weird people you guys don't like, or even shit talk how stupid gojo can be sometimes. it's all in good fun, of course. but, god, it makes a huge difference when your boyfriend can get along with all of your friends. shoko wants to get her nails done but you also want to spend time with geto? hell, he'll come too, no shame. catch him getting a pedicure gossipping the absolute hell out of your classmates.

✧ suguru is also protective of you and your feelings. of course, he's always looking out for you when you're sparring your other classmates (god forbid you ever have to fight gojo, i think he'd go absolutely insane and intervene bc gojo can be A Lot) but he's also the type of boyfriend to be pretty protective of your feelings and your reputation, too. if he's talking to satoru about you, i just know satoru's gotta make an "eewwww you guys are so lovey dovey" type comment. if satoru says anything about you, your mans is defending you. suguru is a true ride or die and he's gotta make sure everybody knows that !

✧ his love languages are definitely a healthy mix of gift giving and quality time. he loooves showing up to your study sessions with a coffee/tea for you or even a pretty bouquet of flowers to make you smile, but, god does he love just being with you. even if you're sitting in silence because you're too focused on studying, he loves just sitting across from you, watching you intently and wondering how the hell he got so lucky.

✧ he'd rather die than admit it, but, god, suguru babies the absolute hell out of you. principal tells you two to spar together? he's going so easy on you it's unreal. it's not that he doesn't doubt your abilities, but he can't mess up your pretty makeup and hair !!! you spar another student?? he's immediately running over to you and checking you out over and over again to make sure you're okay. god forbid you say smth like your ankle hurts b/c he's refusing to let you walk anywhere for the next 3-5 business days. don't even think about sneezing anywhere near this man.

ever since todo had posed the question, megumi hasn’t been able to get it out of his mind. at the time, he’d spewed some nonsense -- not having a particular type -- mostly because he’d believed the question was completely out of place and nonsensical; which, in his defense, it was. the other male was less than pleased with his answer, even going as far as to call him boring. yet, megumi couldn’t help but wonder if he’d even answered truthfully.

“gumi,” your voice finally breaks the silence between you two. he’d been so lost in thought he’d nearly forgotten you were a foot away from him, staring intently as you sipped away at your matcha latte. “you’re so quiet today,” you frown, fiddling around with your straw. has he upset you? 

he matches your frown almost instantaneously. “i don’t think i’m being any more quiet than usual,” he tries his hardest to coolly retort, an impulsive hand rushing toward you to ruffle your hair in a desperate attempt to act like nothing’s wrong. no, his mind totally isn’t waging an entire war right now. no, he’s not at all debating on, perhaps, one of the most crucial decisions of his life.

whether or not to dare risk ruining your friendship.

“you make me sick,” maki’s voice, a disgusted groan, breaks his concentration entirely. as he whips his head toward the green haired girl, he realizes something. he’d been staring at you this entire time. you were several feet away, talking to panda. yet, the black haired boy is absolutely mesmerized. the way your eyes light up and sparkle every time someone makes you laugh… the way every time you flash your pearly white teeth seems to make his heart flutter. there’s something about you that he’s absolutely addicted to, but megumi fushiguro swears he’d never tell a soul about any of this. no, you two are friends. what if you didn’t like him back? what if he tells you how he feels and you never want to speak to him ever again? consumed by his thoughts, he fails to realize you and panda are waltzing right up to them. 

he clears his mind with a visible shake of his head, tilting his head and looking at maki with his best ‘i don’t know what you’re talking about’ look. was he really that obvious? he makes a mental note to stop trying to stare at you less, yet this feels like an impossible task.

“just ask her out already, loverboy,” maki sticks out her tongue. he doesn’t even have to look at her to know she’s got a shit-eating grin plastered on her face.

“ooh, ask who out?” you question, clasping your hands together as you sit down next to your best boyfriend. he heard your voice. your voice. you just sat next to him. 

he swears he nearly jumps out of his skin upon realizing you’d just walked into a conversation about you. could he play it off? act stupid? what kind of lie could he tell to get out of explaining that maki was teasing him about you? were they talking about another girl from another school? no -- something about even pretending to like another girl feels wrong. 

“‘gumi’ likes a girl, but he’s too much of a pussy to ask her out,” maki snickers. it seems she’s even poking fun at your nickname for him, and he silently prays that you don’t notice this. “as a fantastic and the best friend anyone could ever ask for, i’ve been trying to encourage him.” her sarcasm is nearly enough to make his skin crawl. she’s deadpanning and making it so obvious it hurts. 

“do we know who this girl is?” you ask. maybe he’s making things up -- imaging things to make himself feel better -- but he swears your eyes dull and shift from the beautiful, sparkling orbs they always were. “we do not!” maki clicks her tongue, and megumi can finally breathe a sigh of relief. or so he thinks. “say… what’s your type anyway?” she segways the conversation almost cruelly, staring you dead in your eyes.

you seem to take a moment. firstly, to inhale a sharp breath. then, you take a second to think, furrowing your brows together in a moment of deep thought. a few beats pass and you finally exhale your sigh, and megumi swears you three have been sitting in silence for eternity. “tall,” you start, and he swears his stomach is tying itself into knots. “reserved… smart -- gotta be smart,” you chuckle and grin. “maybe even a little stoic. like i can never tell what’s going on in his head, but i always at least hope he’s thinking about me somewhere in there.”

in his state of sheer panic, he nearly misses the obvious blush dusting your cheeks. maki could’ve smacked him right in the back of his head and he still would’ve missed it. yet, somehow, you still have more to say. “someone who’s always thinking about other people… protective, i guess. someone mature and who always takes things seriously, even if other people think he’s a pain in the ass for it.” he can’t help but feel a bit guilty about giving such a lame answer to todo now, especially when you’ve had plenty to say. megumi opens his mouth to speak, yet he’s not even sure what he’s supposed to say to that. he prays deep down you’re talking about him, but it’s not exactly like he can voice that out loud--

“oh my god!” maki groans, throwing her head back. “you two are absolutely disgusting!” “you know she’s talking about you, right?” she hisses aloud, giving megumi, perhaps, the dirtiest look she could ever muster. “it’s actually so painful to watch you two dance around each other!” with her opinions growing quite vocal, maki stands up and crosses her arms. “do i have to do it for you? or are you two gonna talk about your disgusting and obvious feelings for each other?”

✧ kento's love languages are definitely gift giving and quality time. with him working long days, there's nothing better to him than just coming home and curling up on the couch with you. kento is a pretty reserved guy, and, while he's not a big fan of huge displays of pda, when you two are home alone, anything is free game. there's something about just holding you, feeling your soft skin & taking in the overwhelming & pretty scent of your perfume that's so comforting to him. he's a big fan of movie nights & cooking dates so you two can spend time with one another by yourselves.

✧ with that being said, kento is also big on giving gifts. he's an extremely thoughtful and observant guy so this comes easy to him. he pays attention to your interests and what your eyes tend to linger on longer if you two are out shopping together. there's nothing more he loves than to see you smile so it's pretty common that he's coming home with new earrings he saw you looking at the other day, flowers just because, or an outfit you'd look gorgeous in for you to wear when you two go out to dinner.

✧ it's no secret that kento is an incredibly protective yet possessive man. his hand is almost exclusively on the small of your back or around your waist. he can't quite help himself. god forbid another guy oogle at you or stare at you for too long because kento's pulling you close and wrapping an arm around your waist so that everyone knows who you belong to. he's not above giving anyone the nastiest glare or stink eye if they think they're even good enough to lay their eyes on you.

✧ nanami is the type of guy to call/text you at the most random times of the day, always making time in between whatever he's doing at the office to tell you you're gorgeous or ask you if you've eaten or drank enough water today. he's constantly checking in on you and letting you know how much he cares about you.

✧ don't even think about trying to do chores around the house if he's around. you two cooked dinner together? don't you even dare try to wash the dishes. he's pushing you away from the kitchen with a kiss on your forehead, telling you to wait on the couch for him because he'll do anything to alleviate any of your daily stress; your wellbeing matters most to him so he's willing to take on any minor stressors just to see you relax and smile.

✧ with that being said, god forbid you ever get sick around him. he's calling himself out of work too to make sure he's there to take care of you, get you blankets when you're cold, make you soup -- etc. you will not even be moving a single finger until you're 100% feeling better. end of discussion.

━━━ ( ⋆｡°✩ satoru: ) ✧  honestly? you crawling into his lap would take him by surprise. normally HE'S the clingy one. satoru is all about physical affection, touch, and pda so the moment you're crawling into his lap, he's wrapping his arms around you and peppering your skin with kisses. you are NOT going anywhere, either. he's decided he's holding you captive and there's nothing you can do about it, so expect to be stuck on the couch or wherever you're at for the next couple hours.

satoru is a super goofy lover, too, so you best believe he's 'booping' you on the nose and telling you you're beautiful, cute, pretty, or a combination of all three. he's also pretty big on braiding your hair, even if it looks absolutely awful.

honestly, out of all of the jjk men, he's also the one most likely to ask you to do this, too. he'll be sitting on the couch looking at you like you're his entire world (which you are) and he'll just "c'mere." and practically demand that you crawl in his lap bc he can't get enough of you.

his touches are light and gentle. he's gently stroking your arm or lightly playing with your hair. he's not big on touch, but that doesn't mean he can't keep his hands off of you. no, when you're the one initiating the contact, he's like putty in your hands. he'll rest his chin on the top of your head and ask you to stay there forever; all of his demons and dark-natured thoughts go away so long as you're there with him.

suguru is big on deep conversations so don't be surprised if the minute you're looking at him with doe eyes, he starts telling you you're beautiful + the girl he wants to marry. hell, he might even start brainstorming what colors you two would choose for your flowers at your venue. to him, there's nothing better than these sappy and sweet conversations late at night where he can talk about your future together and how he wants to spend the rest of his life with you.

━━━ ( ⋆｡°✩ kento: ) ✧  this is kento's favorite thing you can do, honestly. especially if it's after a long and exhausting day after work. he won't exactly ask for it, for he knows you're just as busy and exhausted as him, but, he can't lie. the minute he catches you in the corner of his eye heading up to him, he's setting his book -- cup of tea -- whatever it may be, down so that you can crawl into his lap with ease.

immediately, kento is breathing a sigh of relief, especially if you have a smile on your face; he's looking into your sparkling eyes and he wouldn't dare look away. it's like instant serotonin for him, truthfully. you immediately wash all of his stress away and he's so thankful for it. he's wrapping his arms around you and holding you tight. he's not exactly one to voice his needs and wants -- no, you're his sole focus so no matter how tired he might be, he's still worrying about you. he's kissing you on your forehead and asking you every last detail about your day. kento can listen to you talk for hours. he's pretty quiet so he's usally just the kind of guy to nod along and keep eye contact with you so you know he's listening (not that you'd ever have to question it!) but even he can't help himself from interrupting you to tell you just how lucky he is to have you in his lap right now.

as a matter of fact, he's begging you to stay exactly where you are. he'll wrap his hands around your waist and position you just right so the two of you can cuddle on the couch. as a matter of fact, he's even placing a takeout order so you two can stay right where you are; he's savoring every last minute of spending time with you. you try to protest? nope, don't even bother. he's shutting you up with a kiss so you have no say in the matter.

━━━ ( ⋆｡°✩ toji: ) ✧  don't let him fool you, toji is a sap. honestly, i don't even think you'll get a chance to crawl into his lap. no, the minute he sees you, he's throwing you over his shoulder because toji is an aggressive and demanding boyfriend -- in the sense that he'll throw you onto the couch wwe-style with a big ass smile on his face, or wait until you walk by just close enough so he can snatch you by the waist and pull you into his lap -- he can't even lie to you, your surprised squeals are absolutely adorable and he can't stop himself from doing this, no matter how many times you've "toji, you scared the HELL outta me!"

on the off chance that you actually get to crawl into his lap, though, toji's gonna pretend like he's all annoyed. ✧ satoru's love language is definitely gift-giving. he's heading to a certain city on a mission and he knows your favorite sweets are there? yeah, the curses can wait, he's making a bee-line to the candy shop to snag a couple for you to enjoy when he gets home. he's not the type of guy to ever come home empty handed, either. even after a long day, he's 100% showing up with flowers or a bottle of wine or something to show his affection for you.

✧ as much as he'll never admit it, satoru is a sappy lover. you have the ability to turn him into absolute mush; he's putty in your hands. although he's the type to tease the absolute living hell out of yuji, megumi, and nobara for having crushes, satoru is 100x worse. he worships the ground you walk on and he's not afraid to show it.

✧ one of his favorite things to do with you is cook. let's face it, he's pretty much stuffing his face with something 24/7, whether it be sweets, savory snacks, or anything he can get his hands on. so this is a perfect date night for you two. except... he lets you do most of the cooking and he's there for moral support. he's like your perfect sous chef, nodding along to whatever you say and passing you whatever incredients you ask him for. he'll always slip in a cheeky little 'yes ma'am.' & 'yes, chef,' too.

✧ satoru is annoying, but in the best way possible. he loves to rile you up and make you all feisty. he'll never do anything to purposely upset you (and god forbid if he does upset you, this man is on his knees begging for forgiveness) but god, does he love seeing the fire in your eyes. he knows you can't be mad at him for too long, either. he'll always tell you this -- 'you can't be mad at me,' pouting at you, etc. gojo has you all worked down to a science, and in truth, you could never really be mad at him because he's so in tune with your emotions. he prides himself on being the best (and most annoying) boyfriend in the entire world.

✧ megumi's love languages are definitely touch and acts of service. he's not exactly the grabby/public PDA type, but he almost exclusively has some sort of contact with you at all times. his hand gently hovering over the small of your back. his knee touching yours when you two are sitting next to each other. his pinky looped around yours when you two are walking. all of his touches are subtle but so meaningful.

✧ god forbid you're leaning near a counter or a sharp edge; you have a pair of watchful eyes hovering over you, and, unbeknownst to you, a hand quickly rushes to cover the corner so that you can't bump it and accidentally hurt yourself. he's protective and always keeps an eye on you as best he can. if you two are out shopping in the busy streets of tokyo, he's wrapping an arm around your shoulders and neck and pulling you closer to him. megumi is the type of boyfriend to always make sure you're walking on the 'inside' of the street, even if anyone else thinks its corny. your safety matters to him more than anything

✧ some of megumi's flirting is definitely being a bit mean. he would never purposely hurt your feelings, but, some days he's definitely calling you a dummy with a bright red flush on his face.

✧ he's a lot more confident in text. this is where you get most of the my beautiful girl and you're the prettiest girl i've ever laid my eyes on. megumi is the absolute sappiest texter. this does not mean he won't say any of this stuff out loud, though. late at night, he's burrying his head in the crook of your neck and telling you he doesn't deserve you; you're perfect and you're all and more he could've ever asked for. it's a lot easier for him to show his affections, but the rare moments he's able to voice it, he goes above and beyond to let you know how much he loves you.

✧ megumi is just a bit posessive. to yuji and nobara, you're almost exclusively 'my girl'. they love teasing him about it, but he's totally unashamed.

✧ as a matter of fact, there's nothing embarrassing to him when it comes to you. you want him to hold your purse? absolutely, he'll throw it over his shoulder and rock it as you two are walking around tokyo. you want to go into the makeup store? he's already inside and picking out a lipstick he thinks would look pretty on you. you want to swatch all kinds of makeup in said store? hell, his sleeves are already rolled up and he's anticipating being your human guinea pig.

✧ megumi is a big fan of planning dates. he prefers relaxed or quiet spots, but he always tries to pick meaningful places to go on dates. like the park for a picnic, strolling through an art museum -- hell, he's definitely even a 'let's watch the stars' kind of guy. he's not just taking you somewhere he wants to go. god forbid you mention wanting to try a new restaurant or go visit a new place; he's already googling it and formulating a plan in his mind of when he can bring you there.
