For most of us life can feel like a juggling competition. We carry a ton of plates that are all spinning or we are wearing countless hats. I struggle with being more vulnerable and open but I'm in a season now where God is pushing me to open up more. So today like many days was a multi-hat wearing day which I'm sure most of you all can relate. However, instead of letting the grind get me down I found ways to integrate the areas of my life instead of compartmentalizing. I had quite time on the way to work, praying and listening to one of my favorite teachers. I stopped at the store and got a Galia melon for breakfast. Had a long productive day at work followed by a run and dinner. I had some challenges thrown my way but I kept pressing on. All these seemingly unimportant daily things we go through make up the fabric of our lives. Super grateful and blessed to juggle with joy! Have a good night everyone 😘 xoxo

How hard is it for us to accept really good gifts? We are always curious about the motives; we apologize for not being able to reciprocate; we feel guilt for not thinking to get a gift... And the range of thoughts and emotions is grave. Praying today that no matter what the world teaches us about performance, motives and guilt that we can learn to truly accept the grace of God. I pray our hearts can soften, we can drop the burden of carrying our own sin and guilt and openly receive the grace of God. It's amazing how a woman can spend most of her life trying not to be like her mom only to wake up one day and realize they're exactly like their mom. There was a time in my life where I would replay this negative script in my head all day. I was practicing failure. I realized it was not the voice of God that was leading my inner life but the messages of the world that constantly had me comparing myself to other people. I couldn’t start becoming the woman God was calling to be until I shut down those thoughts. Fabulous lite ✨ spontaneous al fresco grilled brunch this afternoon with two of my Hillsong church sisters. So beautiful and relaxing just what I needed. As I've grown in faith, church means something completely different than it used to. As church goers we will move from place to place based on the quality of the speaker, the music, all the amenities and feel goods a church can provide but by doing that we miss the very purpose of it all. Church is about community; doing life with a group of people, going through struggles with people so you know your not alone; having a team that will love you and pray for you no matter what your facing. Most of us miss it because we're concerned with the cosmetics and never get to the heart or get plugged into the family. We attend service and leave. Thanks be to God that I've grown to a point where it doesn't matter what song they play, who speaks or if I get the best seat in the house; I encounter God every time in the trenches of His community. I could have spent a lifetime not knowing that truth, if God didn't soften my heart to His church. I just want to encourage anyone who feels hurt by church and that people have let you down in that environment; I pray that God leads you to a place where people are building a community together, sharing one another's burdens and sincerely loving people. In a moment God can change our entire lives. A mere blink is the difference between standing where your at and experiencing an answered prayed. The struggle is having the faith that God is able and willing. The faith to believe that God is a good father and gives good gifts to his children. It's hard to let go of the condemnation and performance mentality we have toward God; believing that we have to work to earn God's goodness and love toward us.
