I like how you make the eye of the hat show his true feelings, like in his face, he is like, "wtf?(angry)" while the hat is like "wtf?(panic)" .

It is a really cool detail that could reflect stuff of why he got to hell and an inability to hide emotions since his face may say something but the hat screams the true.

Maybe since he was there a 100 years, he accepted that and began to be more sincere with his emotions and change since there was no point in trying to hide them.

I like the idea that he could be trying to express one thing, but his hat shows another. It's a really good way to get in touch with your emotions lmaooo

Since my brain is being held hostage by hazbin, I will give my two cents of who we could integrate the song no longer you in the god au.

The first option is pentious gets attacked and dies, God brings him back but wrong, he doest remember and there is an uncanny aura around him. The song is about the past, who he managed to do all that stuff, but he no longer remembers, and if he doesn't remember, can he really say he was the one to do anything?

The other option is that as soon as he got to hell when he died , he went to a fortune teller(he thought it was garbage, but the thought the same thing about heaven and hell, soooo) and asked if he could find a way out. The fortune teller is the real thing and basically sees that he will be able to leave but all his time in hell will change him in such a way that he can not say that the "he" that they see will be the one leaving hell. The person he currently sees is as different as night and day of the persona he will become. After all, he probably got to hell for a reason, and in those 100 years, he probably had time to think, regret, and forget.

Omg I absolutely love that second option! Cuz imagine he arrived all arrogant and like "may as well ask this phony fortune teller, it's not like any of this matters" and has to sit on their words for 100+ years until he finally gets the chance to acknowledge that he's changed

And then he dies and goes to heaven and he's like,,,, w o w they were right,,,,
