💖Happy Valentine's Day!💖 I'm feeling pretty festive this year. Usually I'm not a fan of Valentine's day. I believe in the day after when the chocolate is on sale. Happy New Years Eve everyone! Decided to end the year by sharing my #bestnine2017 Happy to see some wips in there! Looks like some favorites were pieces I did for @futuregallerymi @penumbragallery and #mabsdrawlloweenclub 💖 Most have found homes, but you can still find my Love Potion Witch "Venenum" in Penumbra Gallery's online store 🖤penumbraboutique.com🖤 I wanted to say thank you for all the support and encouragement this year. I had a gallery show almost every month and while that was fun, my goal next year is to also make time for personal projects and possibly take commissions! Maybe connect more with my followers 🙃 I'm a little introverted so it might be weird haha. The end of the year was rough for me personally. I had a death in my family right before Christmas and that kind of put a damper on my holiday spirit as well as my productivity. I definitely needed to slow down and take a break so I could grieve properly. Unfortunately that means I didn't make an end of the year illustration. BUT! A WIP photo of Princess Jasmine 💙 2017 was a year of experimentation and growth for me. In the past, I strictly used colored pencil and graphite, but this year I really wanted to challenge myself to explore acrylic painting. I started off small in the beginning. Maybe 10% was acrylic, and then flashforward to now; this piece is about 95% acrylic. Pencil and paint are completely different so it was no wonder that it took me almost a whole year to be comfortable with it. lol or maybe I just have a really shaky hand. 🙈 This little mini piece was originally created for my collective @poisoncandyartists Disney Auction, however due to some neck and back injury + having an art epiphany while working on her, I decided I wouldn't be able to finish her in time! Sometimes the art dictates when it's done and there's nothing you can do but let it guide you!
