Roman is: that feeling of pride when you create something perfect, when the perfect song comes on shuffle, a hot fire on a cold day, a fast song and a slow dance, that spark of an idea that ignites a project, funny nicknames, singing along to your favourite song with the car windows down and the sun shining and everyone just feeling good, lying in the grass talking to your friends about everything and anything, daydreaming in class

Logan is: when you find the word that fits exactly what you need to describe, the feeling of solving a difficult problem after putting so much work into it, an ice drink, the crisp morning air, when everything fits together perfectly, getting up early to run errands, that feeling of accomplishment after hard work, finding a brilliant book you can't put down, the smell of mint

Patton is: the first star at night, the first flower in spring, the sweet smell of icing sugar, spring sunshine filtering through the trees, a warm hug, a cup of tea, the feeling of wrapping up in a fluffy blanket on a cold night, staying up late with friends, wearing your favourite shirt, finding your childhood teddy bear, love heart sweets

Virgil is: the roll of thunder, the soft rain that keeps you awake, hot cocoa on sleepless nights, watching conspiracy theories online, feeling confident in your favourite outfit, screaming and dancing along to music alone in your room, pen on your fingers, finally relaxing into your bed after a long day, the "wait-did-we-have-homework-due" panic and the "wait-did-its-not-due-today" relief, the smell of cocoa powder as you bake on a rainy evening

Stranger Danger

Prompt: Prinxiety, with a fae roman trying to get virgils name (because he has feelings for virgil and wants him to stay with him)? By @unicornofdarknessstuff

The first time Virgil stepped into a fairy circle carrying a big jar of local honey, he had his reasons. In retrospect, they weren't reason enough to jump straight to seeking help from the supernatural, but in his defence he thought the encounter would go more like an episode of BuzzFeed Unsolved than what actually went down.

"Really? Honey?" Someone asked soon after Virgil arrived at the site of the fairy circle. It was still daylight and Virgil had been preparing for at least a couple of silent hours of shooting down his nerves.

"Ya, what's it to you?" Virgil retorted at be unexpected spectator, "you gonna offer expensive gold or something?"

"No," the stranger said lightly. There was a pause in which Virgil picked at his hoodie sleeves nervously and the man observed him in silence. "I'm Roman, by the way. You are?"

"I'm-- not gonna tell you my name. Because I don't have to."

"Come now, surly temper. Surely *someone* has taught you manners?"

"Look, are you going to summon the fairies or what? If you're just here to bother me, piss off."

"Oh, no," Roman stepped back with a wide gesture of 'go ahead'. He wore jeans, a red shirt, and a blindingly white jacket. He looked like a road sign.

Virgil stared at him with a scowl.

"You're making fun of me," he bit out through clenched teeth. "For your information, I don't believe in that bull either."

"Then why are you here, tall, dark, and brooding," Roman asked with an enigmatic smile.

Virgil tsked.

"Stop it with the nicknames."

"Well, what else am I supposed to call you, pale Piper?"

"Shut up. Can't you just, like, move along?"

Roman sighed dramatically but ultimately, after a few more failed attempts to spin a conversation, he walked away. Good. Now all Virgil had to do was step into this fairy circle with his offering, wait five minutes, then go home vindicated. Easy peasy.

Except the moment he stepped past the threshold of the circle, something did happen, to Virgil's unending chargin. A flash of light appeared - and Roman, the stranger from before, stepped out. This time he was wearing a silky outfit embroidered with gold and accented with red. His hair shimmered and his face glowed in supernatural light.

Roman was the fairy.

Virgil turned tail and ran.
