A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest. A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can perhaps buy precious time to get themselves to a phone and dial 911. 41 Emotions as Expressed through Body Language unique  This list, while exhausting, is soooo not exhaustive; it barely scratches the surface. And each entry could easily become cliché (if it isn’t already). But, it should be enough to get you started. Want more? Start watching people (not in a creepy way), and take notes of what they seem to do when expressing different emotions. Your repertoire of expression will double in no time. PS—do not use these for actual, real-life body language reading; you will fail. These are strictly novelistic.

Awed  -Slack -jawed, raised eyebrows, staring  -Frozen, slack body language (Self? What self? There is only Zuul.)  -Take a step back and put a hand to his heart

Amused  -Smiling and throwing back her head laughing  -Slapping her thighs, stamping her feet, clapping her hands  -Shaking her head (That’s so wrong!)

Contempt/Superiority  -Lifted chin (The better to look down the nose.)  -Pursed lips, sneering, slight frown  -Circling a shoulder, stretching her neck, turning away—anything to indicate she doesn’t see the person as a threat or worthy of her attention  -Grabbing her lapels, or tucking her thumbs in her waistcoat (See this clothing? It is much nicer than yours.)  -Dismissive hand-waving

Cynical/Sarcastic/Bitter  -Twisted lips or a half-smile  -Sneering, sometimes with shaking the head and other defensive body language  -Pressed lips with a slight frown  -Eye rolling

Defensive  -Crossed arms, legs, crossed anything, really (Well, maybe not fingers … or eyes …)  -Arms out, palms forward (Stop!)  -Placing anything (sword, shield, book, backpack) in front of her body

Disgusted  -Crinkling his nose  -Curling his lip and/or showing the tip of his tongue briefly  -Flinching back and interposing a shoulder or turning away  -Covering his nose, gagging, and squinting his eyes shut—hard—for a moment. (It assaults all the senses.)

Displeased  -A plastered-on fake smile (You suck; but I can’t tell you that. So here: a fake smile! Enjoy.)  -Pouting or frowning (I’ll cry if you don’t give me what I want—don’t test me, I will!)  -Crossed arms and other defensive/frustrated body language (I will not let that terrible idea influence me!)

Embarrassment  -Blushing  -Stammering  -Covering her face with her hands or bowing her head (I’m so embarrassed, I can’t look!)  -Difficulty maintaining eye contact, looking down and away

Happy  -Smiling and laughing  -Eyes and nose crinkling  -Swinging her arms, spinning loosely, dancing, jumping

Impatience  -Quick head nodding (Get on with it!)  -Toe/finger tapping (Hear this? These are seconds. Wasted. Listening to you.)  -Sighing, checking the clock/sundial/freckles (Time. It is moving so slowly.)

Jealous  -Tight lips, or a sour expression  -Narrow eyes locked on the perpetrator, to the point of a stare down  -Crossed arms, and additional frustrated, angry, possessive, or bitter body language

Lying  -Scratching their nose, ear, neck, miscellaneous part of face  -Sudden change in behavior or demeanor, including shifty eye contact, lots of long blinking, shrugging -Ill-timed smiles or laughter (This is how I normally smile, right? Right???)  -Additional anxiety body language  -Shaking head no while saying “yes” (I can’t believe I just lied.)  -Licking lips, covering mouth, touching mouth, etc.

Overwhelmed  -Both palms to forehead, fingers splayed (This gives me a headache.)  -Covering eyes with one hand (If I can’t see the world, it can’t see me …)  -Eyes wide and staring into space, hands gripping the table in front of her (… Woah.)

Playful/Friendly  -Winking  -Waggling eyebrows  -Tiny shoves or nudge

Pleasure  -Head tilted back, lips parted slightly, eyes wide or closed  -Slow, languorous movements, stretching (such as arching her neck or back)  -Slight flush, quickened breath and pulse

Possessive  -Handshake with arm clasp  -Putting hands on or around someone’s shoulders, neck, waist, back, or even just the wall near them  -Standing in someone’s personal space, body positioned toward that person  -Any one-sided act of intimacy, like running a knuckle down someone’s cheek  -Staring down any who get too close

Shy  -Avoids eye contact, or has only fleeting eye contact (Eye contact means you might speak to me.)  -Keeps a fair distance from everyone, and will back away if someone steps closer (Space invaders!)  -Folded arms, head down, and other defensive body language (If I make myself small, they can’t see me.)

Smug  -Slight, close-lipped smile (occasionally one-sided) and sometimes one raised eyebrow (I know something you don’t know.)  -Chin slightly tucked, Mona Lisa smile, raised eyebrows (I know better.)  -Finger steepling (I am so smaaaht.)

Suspicious/Skeptical/Disbelief  -Narrowed eyes, sometimes with a sidelong glance or raised eyebrow (Perhaps if I look at it out of the corner of my eye, I will catch it unawares.)  -Rubbing his eyes (I can’t believe what I’m metaphorically or literally seeing!)  -Shaking his head (I—I don’t believe it.)  -Blowing out cheeks (Well , I don’t know …)

Tired  -Rubbing his eyes, eyes staring into space, raised eyebrows (Raising my eyebrows helps keep my eyes open.)  -Yawning and/or stretching (I am tired—see? Tired! So what?

I've been seeing a lot of hate between shippers nowadays... there's one for cartoons, anime, novels, and even movies.

I have decided to act upon this immature thinking...

First let's start with the basics. Everybody has their own opinion... just because they don't agree with you doesn't mean the end of the world.

'Omg I love (any ship) so much... if you don't agree you can burn in hell.' First of all, WHAT? Just because I dislike a certain pairing means I would die in hell? We all have our own tastes and it's up to us to decide on it.

'Why do you support (hated ship)? Didn't you see (other show/book/etc.)? The same thing happened and they never got together...' So, just because thats how it happenes somewhere else means the same would happen on another? Take a break, coincidences can happen but it doesn't mean it'll end up the same.

'Why do you support (crack/rare ship) so much? (most common ship) is canon already, why not just accept the fact?' Ok, first of all if the same thing happened but vice versa, how would you react? Wouldn't you continue shipping your pairing without a care? Let people do what they want. It doesn't affect you.

Another problem is wars between shippers in a certain fandom. Why even bother? What good would it give you, knowing that despite all those long hard debates, not much has changed. Not to mention all the bad things you have to say JUST to get a point across. Did you even stop for a moment to realize what you said could have hurt ANYONE.

Why can't we just all be friends? If someone ships this but you ship that, So What? No ship is better than the other... its only the amount of people that change. Why can't we just be free, to do whatever we want.

So what? Would this argument change people for better?

So what? Would bringing other people down improve your fandom?

So what? Why do you even care to put time and effort into something you don't love.

Continue sharing your love for something. But do it with others. Who cares if its a different ship? Who cares if its a different fandom? Aren't we all the same? We all care for something, and fighting would just further break us all apart.

Help me spread this message of mine... tag all ships (even those you hate) and all your fandoms. Tell everyone in conflict to stop this pointless battle because, So What?

PZPTH: Pennashi is OTP.

Just wanted to do a little quick ramble about the show Penn Zero: Part Time Hero. Concerning in what department you may ask? The ROMANCE department, one of my absolute specialties and things I adore (yet I am single, how ironic). ALSO SPOILER ALERT TO SOME EPISODES (if you haven’t watched everything).

Ok so my rant concerns Pennashi… or in other words Penn x Sashi. Ok, I know you guys would be like: how is that possible? They showed no romantic development in the show so far… and that is why I wanted to rant.

In the episode: “That Purple Girl”, Sashi gets annoyed at the fact Penn and Boone are fawning over the princess… now I know it could just be irritation but it could also mean she likes ONE of them, Boone or Penn.

Boone is out of the question though, as their relationship is VERY platonic. Boone doesn’t show much reaction when Sashi does something irresistably cute (I’m not denying… when she wore the dress at Big Butte, or gets angry/irritated, cuz its cute for some reason. Not to mention when she eats popcorn while watching Penn’s flashback was totes adorbs. I would start thinking up good fanfic plots involving Pennashi). But Penn on the other hand, seems to react more when it involves Sashi.

Now here’s the fun part. In the episode: “Totally Into Your Body”, it showed that Sashi is not as boyish as you think. She still falls in love with boys… and Teddy is apparently one of em, but was never brought up in the following episodes. But it does not end there… in the episode: “Where Dragons Dare”, Sashi also falls in love with Blaze. Interesting enough, Penn gets jealous over Blaze in this episode. Whether it was because he stole Sashi’s heart, or is getting all the attention, we didn’t know… yet.

Now in the epsiode: “Saving The Worlds”, this question on why he was jealous over Blaze was partly answered. At the eye-bleeding (Pennashi fans would understand) moment where Blaze and Sashi were about to kiss, Penn stopped them, just before the gap closed. Now it could have just been looking out for his friend but any normal platonic friendship would just leave their friend with their own love life. Unless they would be endangered (which wasn’t the point) or the jealous one like the other.

Another statement I would like to include is in a lot of episodes, most noticably in “Saving The Worlds”, Sashi is ALWAYS the first to react when Penn seems to get into danger (unless she was somewhere else or is unconscious). This state of mind shows how the two have formed a really deep bond, although it is in a friendly manner… so far.

Also, have I mentioned that in the episode: “Saving The Worlds”, Sashi literally freaked out after zapping back to Earth, after Penn was trapped in the vortex, while everyone else EVEN his best friend, Boone just stood up. Plus, on the episode: "Zap One", don't you guys just agree that Sashi is such an awkward hugger? It's so cute I wanna make fanfic of this!

This is why I love this ship… although it’s just a ship setting to saill, it is one I want to be canon. Penn and Sashi’s relationship is a slow and steady one… who knows, it might even take until the episode finale of the whole show before romance builds up. But this is my favorite kind of romance, one that isn’t rushed… one that takes time for two people to even realize they like the other.

My rant ends here… but before I leave I’m looking for good Tumblr walls that post Penn Zero: Part Time Hero things.
