Fanfic tiktok is wild... I see so many people saying shit like "I could never read anything below 60k!!", or "What story can you even tell in under 5k words?" or "A oneshot below 10k isn't even a story!" or "I always filter completed fics by 100k< only!"

And I'm like...

A) which fandoms are you reading fics for where you have this kind of offerings on the regular?

B) have you heard of short stories? If you truly think every story NEEDS to be longform to connect with people, I sincerely feel sorry for you.

C) Average novel length is between 50k to 100k. I'm sorry, but CONSISTENTLY demanding fic writers to push out fics of that length is insane. Just think about it: YOU DEMAND AUTHORS TO PUT OUT FICS THAT COMPARE TO COMMERCIAL NOVELS IN LENGTH (AND QUALITY) AS A BASELINE.

12: What’s the funniest or craziest AU idea you’ve ever come up with? Okay, so this will probably be the weirdest AU I’ve come up with. I love the song “Battleship Chains,” specifically the Volbeat cover. So something happens between Logan and an old woman who you find out is a witch, who Logan, being Logan, greatly offends, and she ends up cursing Logan and Louise to be magically chained to each other, leaving them with a cryptic message on how they can break the curse. They only have 24 hours to break the curse before they are chained to each other for all eternity lol. So the fic is, of course, going to be a clichéd love story because this is me (and I’m cringe, lol). So that’s the AU I came up with that I’ll still need to flesh out in the future lol. 😂

15: Have you noticed your style change over time? Yeah, I actually have! At first, when I started writing, I honestly thought I sucked at it and was never going to get better, but over time, my writing style has changed, and I feel it flows better than it once did. I’ve actually gone back and rewritten the WIPs I’ve had in my docs for a long time, and I feel they’re better now because I’ve grown as a writer! 💕💕💕

“Cry Me a Liver” by @babsvibes It’s got everything you can want in a Louigan fic: Sad man-baby Logan, Louise, and Logan are miserable about the breakup, yet the hilarious thing is that neither one of them actually remembers or knows why they broke up in the first place. 😂 And you gotta love Gene and Tina for being the greatest siblings ever trying to figure out what happened! I love Tina and Louise’s dynamic, but I especially love Logan and Gene in this fic! Gene is just amazing in this fic, and I love them. Gene’s personality is just so perfectly written in this fic, and I adored this fic so much. And I was one of the people who, of course, loves pathetic Logan, and I got my juice and more lol.

I definitely recommend this fic to anyone who hasn’t read it; it’s a gem. 💕💕💕

23: Has your favorite character/ship changed over time?

The pairing between Lisa Simpson and Jessica Lovejoy has been with me for so loooong. I can’t say it’s changed, as my love for it is still going strong after all these years. They have been my OTP since I was 17 to 18 years old, and I think they’ll be my OTP until the day that I die. 🥹💕💕💕

Chapter 3: Alone

Summary:

The way he saw it, he had two options. One, he stayed here until his food ran out and eventually either starved or froze to death. Two, he got out of there and tried to find his own way home. Really, there was only one option. He wasn’t going to just sit there and wait to die. He had people he needed to get back to, people who needed him to come back home. Ma. Dad. J-Ju. Tina. Now, contrary to popular belief, Zeke wasn’t a total idiot. He was well aware that what he was considering was very, very risky. He weren’t no survivalist, he knew very little about what exactly it took to make it out here. But if there was one thing he was , it was stubborn. Especially when it came to being there for those he loved. And he’d be damned if he died out here and left them alone.
